“Hello, My lord.”
“At four o’clock in the afternoon, you go to room number 1306 in Runze Building for audition.”
The company did not give up on her. Even now, they are still looking for audition opportunities. Mu Wan stood at the bedroom door, looking at the gloomy sky outside. She was a little powerless.
She certainly has no problem with the audition getting better results. But after she succeeds in the audition, she will most likely be brushed down. Before the grievances between her and Mu Qing are gone, she won’t have any drama lately.
“My lord...” Mu Wan was going to explain to Li Nan.
As soon as she finished explaining, Li Nan laughed and said to her, “It’s the role of the Empress Dowager in Thousands of Snow. Didn’t you want to play that role at the beginning? There’s no need to worry about the audition. Just let the director see you act, because the contract has already been sent to me.”
After Li Nan finished speaking, there was no movement on the other end of the phone for a long time. Then, he called out, “Mu Wan?”
“I got it.” Mu Wan regained consciousness and replied.
“All right, make good preparations. The filming of this drama will start next week, and the cast is well set. After it finished, you don’t have to worry about not being able to work.” Li Nan finished speaking and hung up the phone.
Li Nan’s phone call suddenly became clear at the end of her career.
Clearly, Mu Qing did not plan for this to happen. If it were Mu Qing, she would never be allowed to play such a good role.
The ground was cold as she stepped on the marble floor. Mu Wan didn’t think about it anymore. She took out her mobile phone to call Liu Qianxiu, and her excited voice was transmitted to the quiet Taoist temple through the receiver.
“Liu Qianxiu, I got the role of the Empress Dowager!”
The hand holding the brush paused slightly, and the ink fragrance mixed with sandalwood spread in the main hall. Liu Qianxiu put down the brush, and a faint smile appeared on his light eyes and eyebrows.
“Hmm.”
“Can you come back quickly today? If you are in front of me now, I can hold you, kiss you, and tell you this happy thing.”
Her voice went low again.
“Okay.” Liu Qianxiu agreed.
Mu Wan was happy again, and after chatting about something else, she was called to have breakfast by Mother Wu and then hung up the phone.
After hanging up the phone, he picked up the brush again. On his opposite, Qing Chan is holding the brush and practicing writing on the white paper. There was some ink on his face, and his white porcelain cheek was stained with tiny patches of black, like a small cat.
“Is Sister Mu Wan called?” Holding the brush in his little hand, Qing Chan asked while looking at the corner of Liu Qianxiu’s slightly hooked lips.
Liu Qianxiu raised his eyes, his expression returned calm, and he faintly replied, “Yes.”
“Why does she like to cling to you even when happy?” The little boy didn’t understand it and thought it was a mystery. After the doubt, he lowered his head and continued to write.
As he looked down at the words written by Qing Chan, Liu Qianxiu asked in a deep voice, “Didn’t Master say when he would be back?”
“Junior Brother Qianxiu, do you want to leave?” Qing Chan raised his head and asked, with some incredible look in his bright eyes, “You were reluctant to go before. You said there is the Tao in your heart here.”
The Tao in his heart is here, but the person in his heart is not.
After Mu Wan received the call from Li Nan, she read Thousands of Snow’s novels again at home. At three in the afternoon, she took a taxi to Runze Building.
She had just arrived in the audition room, and the director sitting in the middle looked up and saw her. Mu Wan smiled, and the director also smiled at her and said, “We met yesterday.”
“Yes, Director Li.” Mu Wan said with a smile.
Several people in the audition room saw that Director Li was satisfied with Mu Wan’s performance. When Director Li said, “Let’s get started.”, Mu Wan picked a scene and began to act.
Before she graduated, she hadn’t signed with the company. When she wanted to earn money to eat, she tried many times to audition that time. Mu Wan’s acting ability was excellent from the start. Even if she only plays a supporting role, she can act well.
After the audition of this scene, Director Li’s face became more smiling. In this way, Mu Wan’s role has been decided.
Although the role of Empress Dowager in “Thousand of Snow” is unimportant, it is difficult to delete the play because of its involvement in the main lines. After being confirmed to be in the drama, Mu Wan went to the company and signed a contract with Li Nan.
After doing this, Mu Wan was relieved and happy and took a taxi home.
On the way home, Mu Wan called Liu Qianxiu again. However, Liu Qianxiu only said that his Master hadn’t returned to the temple yet, so he estimated he would not be home tonight.
Originally she was in a happy mood, but she suddenly felt covered with a layer of the veil. Then Mu Wan hung up the phone while looking at the setting sun in the west.
When she arrived at Jiayuan Community, it was already six o’clock in the afternoon. The sun had not yet set, and the sky had just cast a faint shadow. The snack bars in front of the community’s gate were opened as it approached the time to get off work and dinner.
After calculating carefully, Mu Wan realizes that since her kittens were sent to Liu Qianxiu’s house, she hasn’t eaten the snack bars outside for a long time.
In the morning, Mother Wu only made enough food for her lunch. Now, she was hungry after being busy working all afternoon. Mu Wan picked a few stalls with heavy oil and salt. However, she felt that the sensation was completely gone.
Because she was enlightened by Liu Qianxiu, Mu Wan eventually bought nothing and went home.
Today, it rained again. The corners of the floor tiles in the community tilted upwards; if anyone stepped on them, they would explode. Mu Wan was familiar with this road, walking along the wall, out of the alley, and towards the building where she lived.
The old residential building stood tall, blocking the setting sun completely. The air filled with the smell of soil and leaves and the thick smell of flaming smoke.
As Mu Wan approached her building, a chill burst into her eyes, instantly dissipating the smoke and flames.
Mu Wan stood where she was and was stunned.
Liu Qiaxiu took off his Taoist robes. He dressed in shirts and trousers made of cotton and linen. He stood tall, but he looked delicate and lonely. He was looking at the position on the third floor, and after hearing the sound of footsteps, he turned his head and looked over.
When his light eyebrows saw Mu Wan standing there, it seemed an ink dripped into the water and became thick and colorful.
Mu Wan’s heart paused slightly and then beat violently. She returned to her senses, and her beautiful eyes lit up. She happily ran to Liu Qianxiu’s side and looked up at him.
“Liu Qianxiu, you are back.” She brightly smiled as if the clouds blocking the sun had been wiped off and revealing all the light.
“Yeah.” Turning around, Liu Qianxiu looked down at her and replied lightly.
“Didn’t you say that your master hasn’t returned yet...” Mu Wan was puzzled, but before she finished speaking, her eyes lit up again, and she said, “Are you going to surprise me?”
Before she finished speaking, her face was held by Liu Qianxiu’s hands, and her jaw was slightly raised. Mu Wan’s heartbeat was slightly lifted when Liu Qianxiu’s kiss fell.
Her lips were covered with Liu Qianxiu’s kisses, soft and numb. Mu Wan’s eyes gradually widened, and her eyelashes trembled slightly. She seemed to have buried all her thoughts in the kiss. In a moment, Mu Wan closed his eyes and hugged his shoulders.
Her heart was pounding by his kiss. When Li Qianxiu moved, the setting sun shone through the camphor leaves in front of the building into her hazy eyes, and the fine light flashed. Mu Wan looked at Liu Qianxiu, slightly trembling and panting as she breathed.
“This is a surprise.” Li Qianxiu’s lips were drawn slightly, and his voice was deep.
Mu Wan’s body was a little weak. She held Liu Qianxiu, and her fingertips were slightly hot.
“Liu Qianxiu, will you stay at my house today?”
Liu Qianxiu looked down at her.
The blood seemed to have rushed all over her face. Her cheeks were hot as Mu Wan said, “Oh.”. Her small tongue licked her rosy lips, dropped her head, raised her head, and said, “My house... My bed is quite soft.”
The breeze blew, carrying the smoke and fire she had just smelled. Liu Qianxiu looked at her quietly with deep eyes. Mu Wan felt like she was drowning in his eyes.
She waited patiently and anxiously for his answer.
“Okay.” He agreed.
The author has something to say:
Liu Daochang: I’m pretty hard.
