Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 341

~ REGARD HUMAN LIFE AS A WEED ~

Mu Yunyao softly laughed, “What you say makes sense. Since that’s the case, then let’s go.”

Qi Mama held out her hand to stop Si Qin, Si Qi, and the rest. “The Eldest Madam wants to see the Madam and the Young Miss Biao, so all of you don’t have to follow them.”

“We servants will only listen to the orders of our Madam and Young Miss. Qi Mama, you don’t have to meddle in other people’s business.”

“How dare you!” Qi Mama raised her hand to signal the maidservants and Mamas behind her to stop the four of them. She saw that Si Qin had stepped forward, her left hand grabbing Qi Mama’s wrist, her right arm bent, her elbow aiming straight for Qi Mama’s throat. The moment she touched her, Qi Mama stopped moving.

“What did Qi Mama just say?”

Qi Mama suddenly thought back to that night when they almost killed Su Yuyi, and she immediately shuddered. These people even dared to touch their Eldest Miss, let alone a servant like her, “You … Don’t be too arrogant, this is the Su family....”

Si Qin looked at Qi Mama with a smile, but the movements in her hands did not relax: “No matter where you are, as a servant, you’re not allowed to meddle in the affairs of the masters at will. Qi Mama is also an old man of the Su family, so you should understand this better than anyone, right?”

Qi Mama secretly gritted her teeth and cursed in her heart: What a cheap hoof! She cursed Mu Yunyao on her head: I’ll let you be proud for a while. Once Eldest Madam takes care of Mu Yunyao, it’ll be your turn next!

“Release your hands. don’t let the Eldest Madam wait for you.”

Si Qin released her strength with satisfaction and respectfully stood behind Mu Yunyao before following her to the East Courtyard.

The East Courtyard was filled with servants. Each and every one of them held their breath as they lowered their heads and waited for the Eldest Madam’s order.

Mu Yunyao held onto Su Qing and walked into the main hall, then she saw Eldest Madam, who was sitting above, “Greetings, Eldest Aunt. My mother’s throat was choked by the smoke from the fire at Baohua Temple. At this time, she can’t speak and can’t make a sound to greet Eldest Aunt, so Yunyao did it for her. Please don’t blame her.”

Su Yuyi smiled as she stood behind the Eldest Madam, her heart was filled with anger, and her eyes were filled with hatred. Once she saw Mu Yunyao, the fear in her heart rose again, the pain of her broken arm, the fear of dying, the anger of losing face … With all her emotions gathered together, she gritted her teeth and stared at Mu Yunyao. When she saw Mu Yunyao, she really wanted to use her gaze to flinch her.

The Eldest Madam slammed the table. “People, tie up Mu Yunyao for me!”

“Yes, Madam!” The surrounding maidservants immediately responded loudly. They quickly surrounded Mu Yunyao and pounced at her!

Su Qing’s heart trembled. She tightly held onto Mu Yunyao’s hand and stepped forward to protect her behind her. Turning her head to face the Eldest Madam, she wanted to open her mouth and beg for forgiveness. But when she saw her eyes filled with killing intent, her entire body froze on the spot: The Eldest Madam and Su Yuyi are nominally their relatives, but everyone wanted to kill the mother and daughter pair! Such people! Even if she kneeled down and begged them, she would only receive heartless contempt and ridicule …

Mu Yunyao held Su Qing’s hand and turned around to command Si Qin and the others, “Do it.”

“Yes, Miss.”

Received Mu Yunyao’s order, Si Qin and the other three instantly moved.

The four people trained to assassinate people, but it was not appropriate for them to take their lives now. Thus, they could only use their fists and kicks without taking out any weapons. However, their appearances were still quite scary enough.

The people, who were charging over, were easily knocked back by the four people. They slumping onto the ground with loud banging sounds, occasionally with the sound of bones breaking. In an instant, the servants that wanted to rush over to grab Mu Yunyao were all lying on the ground, wailing incessantly.

The Eldest Madam was stupefied by the sudden turn of events and couldn’t stop her heart from trembling. “Mu Yunyao, how dare you!”

Mu Yunyao supported Su Qing and found a nearby chair to sit on. She then turned to look at the Eldest Madam, who had an ugly expression on her face, “Eldest Aunt, we all are family, so what is there to say that cannot be said properly. This move of your punches and kicks would inevitably hurt our relationship.”

“Relationship?” Yuyi considered you as a good sister, yet you broke her arm and almost killed her. Have you ever talked about a relationship?”

Mu Yunyao looked at Su Yuyi with a smile, “Elder Sister Yuyi, it was clearly you who accidentally broke your arm. Why did you have to blame it on me?”

Su Yuyi tried her best to suppress the fear in her heart: “Nonsense, it was you who took advantage of me being caught unprepared and broke my arm, and even covered my head with a quilt. If I wasn’t lucky, I would have been killed by you!”

“Elder Sister Yuyi, you must have been frightened by the sudden fire, to the point of some hallucination, right? Everything is fine, so why did I break your arm?” A smile hung on the corner of Mu Yunyao’s mouth, and the smile was exactly the same as when she had broken Su Yuyi’s arm that night.

Su Yuyi tried her best to restrain herself, but she still felt that her heart was in a mess. She quickly pulled on the Eldest Madam’s sleeves, “Mother, Mu Yunyao allowed her servants to hurt your people and even tried to harm you. Hurry up and tie her up!”

The Eldest Madam was equally furious. “Mu Yunyao, I originally wanted to give you a wide berth, but who knew that you would be so stubborn and unrepentant. Since that’s the case, don’t blame me for being ruthless as your Eldest Aunt.”

“Someone, come!” The Eldest Madam suddenly broke the teacup in her hand and shouted at the door.

Immediately, guards holding weapons rushed in as they looked coldly and solemnly at Mu Yunyao and Su Qing.

The Eldest Madam gritted her teeth. At this point, she could only eliminate Mu Yunyao. Otherwise, there would be endless troubles in the future, “Capture Mu Yunyao and Su Qing. If anyone dares to resist, it doesn’t matter whether they live or die!”

Mu Yunyao abruptly raised her head and looked at the Eldest Madam with an ice-cold gaze. “Regardless of life or death, as expected of someone born in the Meng family, she really doesn’t care about life and regarded human life as a weed!”

These guards were naturally incomparable to the servants before. Si Qin and the other three had a hard time dealing with them and were injured in no time.

Mu Yunyao slightly lowered her eyes as she stood beside Su Qing and silently calculated the time. Seeing that it was about time, she shot a look at Si Qin and winked.

Si Qin’s eyes turned cold. She took the chance and kicked one of the guards in front of him towards Su Yuyi.

Su Yuyi was watching from the side. Suddenly, she felt everything go black before she fell to the ground along with her chair. Her arm, which had just been connected, snapped off again with a click. She didn’t even have time to scream before she fainted.

The Eldest Madam exclaimed and hurried over to help Su Yuyi up. “Yuyi, how are you? Get a doctor quickly, get a doctor quickly!”

Previously, the doctor said that the wounds on Su Yuyi’s arm were very neat and orderly. After resting for a while, she would be able to recover completely. However, now that she was injured, if she was left with a disability, then Yuyi’s remaining life would be ruined...

“Mu Yunyao, it’s not enough that you’ve harmed Yuyi once. You actually dared to hurt her twice. This time I saw it with my own eyes. I must not spare you lightly!” After the Eldest Madam finished speaking, she looked at the guards with a cold gaze. “The Su family has raised you for so many years, could it be that you can’t even deal with four girls? Do not worry about it! I’ll be responsible for the death of these people!”

Incurable Chapter 30 Part 2

Chapter 30 (2/2)

Behind the old pine tree was a narrow path lined with wildflowers and small grasses. The morning mist was cool. Dew dampened her calves. There were no forks in the road, so she simply kept walking.

After five minutes, the space ahead opened up.

And there, seated cross-legged on the cliffside, was Liu Qianxiu.

He had changed into a Taoist robe. The blue-green cloth was plain and rough, yet it draped over his tall, refined frame with quiet elegance. Dawn mist was thinning, and the eastern sky was turning pale. The sun had not yet risen, and the first traces of morning light outlined him like a hidden sage inside a landscape painting—aloof, pure, faintly immortal.

There was something transparent about his presence, so transparent he seemed to belong to the natural world itself. Like mountain and stream, he looked like a man beyond desire, beyond want.

Mu Wan froze for a moment, something in her wavering.

Then the man on the cliff turned his head.

His features were sharply defined, his expression calm. His gaze rested on Mu Wan, deep and steady.

Like someone tempted against her will, Mu Wan wet her lips and walked toward him.

Liu Qianxiu set down the book in his hand and rose from the prayer cushion. The Taoist robe fell cleanly along his frame, belted at the waist, making his shoulders seem broader and his waist narrower, his proportions all the more striking.

He watched her approach, eyes lowered, gaze fixed on hers the whole time.

At first, Mu Wan kept looking up at him. Then, at the last second, her gaze dropped toward the cushion by the cliff, and the tips of her ears flushed red.

“You got up so early,” she said, forcing herself to start with small talk.

“Mm.” Liu Qianxiu answered. “Life here is more regular than it is at home.”

The small talk ended there.

He remained exactly as always—calm, composed, cool. The air itself was chilly, and the man who had spent the early morning meditating on the cliff seemed to carry that cool mist all over him.

Between heaven and earth, Mu Wan alone was warm.

No—more than warm. Burning.

She gathered her courage, lifted her eyes, and looked at him directly. Her gaze shimmered, the corners of her eyes tinged red, making her look exactly like a little demon who had just been bullied.

“I have something to ask you.” Her thoughts turned in a rush. “What you said to me last night, what you did to me last night... I remember all of it. So I want to ask you—what did you mean?”

Her tone tightened at the end. She tried to make herself sound more imposing. Her gaze trembled. She bit her lip and pushed on.

“You said you do have desire. Then toward me, is it affection—or desire?”

The man’s gaze lowered slightly as he looked at her.

She stared back just as hard, her lips full and wet, red as if they had melted from pomegranate stone—vivid and dangerously soft.

Then he lowered his head and kissed her.

Soft lips met soft lips.

In that instant, heaven and earth seemed to collapse. Mu Wan’s pupils contracted. Her throat dried. Her jaw trembled.

Then his lips lifted away.

His forehead rested lightly against hers. He gave a low laugh and asked, “What do you want?”

Her eyes were fixed on the smile on his face. Her heartbeat crashed against her eardrums. Mu Wan’s mind went completely blank. She opened her mouth, wanting to answer, but no words would come. All she knew was that she was clutching tightly at his Taoist robe, because that one kiss had left her body weak.

He wrapped his arms around her.

One arm circled her waist.

His eyes were black and bright.

A smile lingered at the corner of his lips, the same one that had made her heart race from the very beginning.

He lowered his head. His lips brushed near her ear. His voice was deep and fluid, like clear spring water striking stone, echoing against her skin.

“Whether what you want is affection or desire, I can give you both.”

Mu Wan’s heart burst into bloom.

Incurable Chapter 30 Part 1

Chapter 30 (1/2)

The man’s embrace carried the scent of wine and sandalwood, as though some long-held commandment had just been broken, and in an instant the skies had cleared.

Curled in his arms, with the clean wind and bright moon before her and stray strands of hair stirring by her ear, Mu Wan could hear a steady, powerful heartbeat thudding against her eardrums.

It was not only her own.

She had heard what he had just said. Mu Wan lifted her gaze to him, eyes bright, cheeks flushed, lips slightly parted.

“Liu Qianxiu...” Her voice trembled.

“Mm.” He answered softly.

Perhaps because things had gone more perfectly than she had ever dared hope, her vision blurred. His voice lingered in her ear, and for a moment, everything felt unreal again.

She did not move. Liu Qianxiu took her hand and pressed it against his chest.

His heart beat beneath her palm. Mu Wan’s throat went dry.

Holding her hand as though he were holding the very truth within himself, he placed it over his heart. Something flickered across her face, then slowly brightened.

The Taoist temple was pure and still. A few insects called in the night. Yet the bodies pressed close together had become unbearably loud.

“Junior Brother.”

A child’s sweet, aggrieved voice, still heavy with sleep, shattered the charged stillness beneath the moon.

Time, which had seemed suspended, suddenly rushed forward again.

Mu Wan froze. The heat in her body rushed straight to her face. She braced her palm against his chest, trying to sit up. But Liu Qianxiu tightened his arm around her waist just a little. Her body softened at once and fell back into his arms. Her burning cheek pressed against his chest. One hand came up to cradle the back of her head, holding her there.

“What is it?” Liu Qianxiu lifted his eyes. Aside from the hot breath spilling from the woman in his arms, there was no more struggle.

Qingchan stood at the entrance to the main hall, one small hand on the wooden door, eyes drooping. “A nightmare woke me up,” he said. “Junior Brother, can you sleep with me tonight?”

Qingchan was only seven. For all his calm manner, he was still a child, afraid of the dark and afraid of bad dreams. He had listened to a thousand teachings, but when it came down to it, he still wanted his master to sleep beside him. If Master was not here, then Junior Brother would do.

“All right,” Liu Qianxiu said.

His body did not move, but the woman in his arms did. Her fingers tightened in his robe, clutching the fabric.

Qingchan stood there waiting, his mind gradually clearing. Only then did he truly see the man and woman in the main hall.

His junior brother sat upright. Sister Mu Wan was lying in his arms, their bodies very close. Her narrow shoulders trembled faintly. Her long fingers clutched at his robe. Her face was buried against his chest, and beneath her thick black hair, only one small ear was visible.

Red enough to drip blood.

“What’s wrong with Sister?” Qingchan asked, puzzled.

At his question, the visible ear turned even redder.

The woman in his arms had already gone burning hot, the heat of her body seeping through the thin layers of cloth against his skin. A faint shift passed through Liu Qianxiu’s eyes. Lowering his head, he looked at Mu Wan and said evenly, “She drank a little wine and feels unwell, so she’s being clingy.”

“Oh.” Qingchan nodded, half understanding, half not.

Mu Wan was mortified. Her palms were damp with sweat.

Liu Qianxiu exhaled softly. His hand moved over the back of her head in a soothing stroke, like a hand brushing across duckweed on a still lake, stirring quiet, delicate ripples.

He lowered his head slightly. His lips came close to her ear. His body was still cool, but the words he spoke were unbearably hot.

“I’ll go put him back to sleep first. Then I’ll come back and talk to you.”

After that, he stroked her hair once or twice more. The strands slipped through his fingers. Then he eased her against the low table and rose to his feet.

“Come,” Liu Qianxiu said, taking Qingchan’s hand.

Throughout it all, Mu Wan never lifted her head. Her face was burning. Whether from heat or from the wine, even she did not know. She had to stay awake. Liu Qianxiu still had something to say to her.

Tonight, he had to make it clear. What desire did he mean? And for whom?

Beneath the temple lantern, the woman’s figure was graceful and slim. She looked like a little demon who had only just tasted love—at a loss, yet secretly delighted.

Qingchan had been woken by a nightmare, and after that, he chatted with Liu Qianxiu for a while. By the time his mind had fully cleared, it had become harder for him to fall asleep again. It took Liu Qianxiu some time to coax him back to sleep.

Only after Qingchan was asleep did he rise, close the door, and return to the main hall.

The scent of bayberry wine still lingered there. Mu Wan was lying face down on the table, her cheek turned to the side, eyes closed, breathing evenly. She had fallen asleep, too.

The wines brewed by Xuan Qingzi all had a strong aftereffect. Liu Qianxiu himself had grown warm after only one cup. She had drunk three.

The mountain temple at night was cool and wind-washed. Standing in the main hall, Liu Qianxiu raised his eyes to the three statues in the center of the shrine, steadied his breathing, then walked over and lifted the woman into his arms.

She was slender and long-limbed, light as a white feather. Yet it was precisely this feather that had disturbed the still dust of his heart.

He moved as gently as he could. Mu Wan slept deeply. Even when he laid her down on the bed, she did not wake.

The room was dark. Only a little light from the main hall seeped through the window, faintly brightening the space. Liu Qianxiu stood by the bed, looking at her fair, vivid little face. His Adam’s apple moved once.

After a long moment, he pulled the thin blanket over her, then turned and left the room.

The bayberry wine’s aftereffect truly was strong. Mu Wan had forced herself to stay awake, but in the end, alcohol won.

Her consciousness sank, but her obsession remained clear. Even in her dream, she was still clutching at the man’s robe, asking him what exactly he had meant by that last sentence.

Dream-Liu Qianxiu refused to answer her.

Mu Wan woke with a start.

Her body was damp with sweat. Looking out the window, she saw that the world was still washed in darkness. Morning mist drifted through the temple, leaving it quiet and cold, far removed from the human world. The air was damp and cool. Mu Wan climbed out of bed, threw on a jacket, and pushed open the door.

Incense was already burning on the table in the main hall, glowing faintly through white curling smoke. Outside came the sound of sweeping. Mu Wan’s eyes moved, and she hurried out.

Qingchan was holding a broom, sweeping up a scatter of fallen leaves. When the leaves rolled to his feet, he turned and saw her. At once, he smiled, his cheeks pink from the effort, soft and lively.

“Sister, you’re awake.”

“Mm.” Mu Wan barely stopped herself from rushing straight over. She looked at the already-clean courtyard and asked, “Did you sweep all this?”

There was little entertainment in the temple. The young Taoist spent his days reading and cultivating quietly. He slept early and rose early. Qingchan gripped the broom in his small hand, squinted with a smile, and shook his head. “Junior Brother swept most of it. I only did the finishing.”

“That’s strange,” Qingchan said with a grin. “Yesterday, Junior Brother said that when you felt bad, you got clingy. Why are you still clingy this morning if you don’t feel bad anymore?”

Mu Wan: “...”

Qingchan did not understand why she had turned red. He pointed down a narrow path behind the old pine tree and said, “Every morning Junior Brother goes to the cliff to cultivate quietly. You can find him there. He’s been gone for a while already, so he should be coming back soon.”

Now that she had already been officially branded clingy, Mu Wan did not bother pretending otherwise. She pinched Qingchan’s little topknot again. The boy gave a tiny “Ai-ya,” soft and springy, suddenly losing all the solemn composure he had just been using to lecture her. She laughed, rose, and headed down the path.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 340

~ MONEY MOVES PEOPLE’S HEARTS ~

When Qi Mama and Yun Chun left, the Eldest Madam glanced at the box by her side with some disdain. Previously, she had heard Su Qingwu say Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo had a great influence, so she didn’t believe it. She just said that there were countless large embroidery shops and teahouses in the Capital.

Could it be that Mu Yunyao was different from the others?

As the Eldest Madam thought of this, she raised her hand to open the box. When she saw the neat stack of banknotes inside, her eyes widened slightly as she picked up a banknote and carefully examined it. She discovered that each banknote was worth a thousand taels of silver each. She counted it carefully, and there were 200.000 taels of silver!

The Eldest Madam’s fingers trembled slightly, and her eyes were suspicious: Earlier, Mu Yunyao had donated a hundred thousand taels of silver in Jingling City, but now, in a short time, she had earned another two hundred thousand taels of silver.

Could it be that Su Qingwu had not only not overestimated Mu Yunyao, but he had even underestimated her? If this were the case, according to the speed of earning silver, Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo would be like golden palladium!

“Mother, what are you looking at?” Su Yuyi walked in slowly and asked in confusion when she saw the Eldest Madam’s excited expression.

The Eldest Madam quickly placed the silver notes into the box and closed the box with a bang. Her tone turned a little chilly, “Why are you here?” Why you didn’t get anyone to report it to me?”

Su Yuyi was taken aback for a moment. “I didn’t see Qi Mama when I walked in, so I didn’t get someone to report to you. Mother, please don’t be angry.”

The Eldest Madam realized that she had lost control of herself and quickly retracted her expression. “It’s no problem. I just remembered Mu Yunyao, so for a moment, I was too angry that I couldn’t control myrself and even spoke a little heavily. Come and sit down quickly. Did your arm is still in severe pain?”

“The medicine given by the doctor is so good, and it doesn’t really hurt much at the moment. It’s just that the moment Daughter thought of Mu Yunyao, I was so angry that my heart and liver ached, and she didn’t even have the mood to recuperate.” As Su Yuyi spoke, her eyes landed on the wooden box that the Eldest Madam was pressing down on with her hands, “Mother, what’s inside the box? Just now, it seemed like your looked very serious....”

“It’s nothing. The servant sent me some trinkets. The injury on the arm is not trivial. The doctor had repeatedly told you to have a good life and recuperate well. For Mu Yunyao, I have my own ways of dealing with it. You just need to rest in peace and recover well. Tomorrow Mu Yunyao should be back, and you just need to watch the show.”

“Yes, Mother.”

After Su Yuyi left, the first wife opened the wooden box again and gently touched the silver notes.

She was born in the Meng family. She was well-dressed and well-fed since she was a child. She never paid much attention to silver and silk. When she came to the Su family, she took charge of the backyard and saw the silver coming in and out every day. She supported a large family from top to bottom and gradually realized the importance of silver.

Especially after Su Wenyuan had sided with Jin Wang, he had used his position in the Ministry of Public Affairs to help Jin Wang build a good relationship and had spent a lot more money than before. In the past, he still had the support of the Spring Embroidery Workshop, but it had been sealed off for more than a year. The income of the Su family’s shop and the residence could not make ends meet.

With the New Year approaching in a few months, the competition between Jin Wang and Yu Wang was getting more intense this year, and the New Year ceremony was also has become increasingly heavy. The Mid-Autumn Festival from a few days ago was already getting short of silver, and if still there was no new money, they would not be able to make it through the new year.

“Two hundred thousand taels of silver....” If she had known earlier that so much silver was being delivered, she wouldn’t have personally stepped forward to see Yun Chun and instead had Qi Mama take the silver. This way, she could keep the silver. Even if someone asked about the whereabouts of the silver later, she could just push her off the hook and clean herself. Worse come to worse, she would just have to sacrifice a Qi Mama.

Now that she had personally met Yun Chun and wanted to make this silver disappear without a trace, she needed to spend a lot of effort. The first thing was to make sure that Mu Yunyao would not be able to speak, and as long as she did not open her mouth, she would say that she had already given her the silver, and that was it!

On the morning of the second day, Mu Yunyao woke up early. There weren’t many things left, so there wasn’t much to pack. After loading the carriage, she left Baohua Temple and returned to the Su family residence.

Yue Wang was waiting anxiously in his room. But it took a long time for Mu Yunyao and Su Qing to come and told Yu Heng to go and meet them. Then he found out that the two of them had left Baohua Temple early in the morning.

“Master, now there are many people in Baohua Temple, so it is not good for Miss Mu to come and say goodbye to you....” Yu Heng looked at Yue Wang, whose expression instantly turned cold, and said with some uneasiness in his heart.

As Yue Wang heaved a sigh of relief, he felt regretful. “We have been at Baohua Temple for a long time. Pack our things, and I’ll go to see Imperial Aunt later. It’s time for us to return.”

“Yes.”

As the carriage entered the Capital, the crowd clamored. As it passed Shuanglin Street, a loud and clear voice called out, “Great fortune and great benefit, your wish is fulfilled!”

Inside the carriage, Mu Yunyao slowly opened her eyes as the corners of her mouth raised to form a slight curve. It seemed that the Eldest Madam had been tempted. In this way, things would be foolproof.

The carriage slowly moved forward and stopped in front of Su’s family residence. The corner door was open, and Qi Mama was already waiting at the gate. Mu Yunyao supported Su Qing out and walked over. Qi Mama greets them with a perfunctory bow, “Greetings, Madam Su. Greetings, Miss Mu. The Eldest Madam is waiting in the East Vourtyard. Let’s go with the servants, Young Miss Biao and Madam.”

Su Qing’s face did not show any expression, but Mu Yunyao, who was at the side, had a smile on her face. “Eldest Aunt is looking for Mother and me in such anxiousness, but what is important? Let’s put the things down, freshen up and change our clothes first.”

“Miss Mu, the Eldest Madam is busy with matters. She usually has to manage this whole family, so she doesn’t have the time to wait for you to freshen up and change your clothes. You’d better come with the maidservant, or it won’t be look good either.”

Qi Mama’s voice was slightly rough, her eyes filled with anger and malice. Previously, Mu Yunyao had tied her up, and in the end, knocked her unconscious over Su Yuyi’s broken arm. After Su Yuyi woke up and returned home, she saw that she was not pleasing to the eye all day long and ordered her to be punished several times, but she didn’t get over her hatred. During the night, Su Yuyi made her kneel outside to watch the night, and her knees were about to break in the past two days.

Mu Yunyao glanced at the maidservants and mamas standing behind Qi Mama. “It looks like if I don’t follow Qi Mama to the East Courtyard immediately, you’ll have to get someone to tie me up.”

The corners of Qi Mama’s lips moved with a fake smile. “Look at what Young Miss Biao has to say. We’re all servants that don’t dare to tie you up and are only following orders. We invited you over, but this method is a bit special.”

“You don’t call yourself a servant in front of me. Instead, you call yourself us, but you don’t see anything to be afraid of.”

“Miss, there’s no need for you to dawdle here with me. Sooner or later, you’ll have to go see the Eldest Madam. If you see the Eldest Madam earlier, you’ll finished it soon, don’t you think?”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 339

~ THE SU FAMILY IN BAD TIMES ~

Su Wenyuan’s eyes became serious. “This looks like a match cards for the Su family’s servants. They usually take the plate and go out to do some chores. But after returning to the residence, they will have to hand it back the match cards. I haven’t heard about any loss of match cards in residence recently.”

“Lord Su, are you sure you haven’t lost your match cards?”

Su Wenyuan frowned, “Normally, I would be very busy with business, so I’m not too sure about whether or not we’ve lost match card. I’ll get the housekeeper to come over later to ask if we’ve lost it, then I’ll report it to Lord Shen.”

“Alright, since that’s the case, then I won’t continue disturbing you. If Lord Su remembers anything, then please let me know in time.”

“Certainly.”

Shen Binghuai didn’t really doubt the Su family. Firstly, that Wang Zhu was a hoodlum himself, so his words were not believable and questionable. Secondly, even if there were really such a matter, it would be a simple thing for the Su family to make Wang Zhu’s mouth shut, not to say that he made trouble in Shun Tian Manor.

However, his routine inquiry had caused rumors to circulate in the Capital.

For the past few days, the Capital had been bustling with noise and excitement. Most of it was related to the Su family. This time, it was even rarer that they are involved in human life lawsuits.

Many people stood out, discussing the farce in front of the Su family’s residence.

That day, Old Wang Mama and Old Liu Mama’s sons each took a hundred taels of silver and left. It was enough to let the commoners discuss this for a while. After all, that was a hundred taels of silver, so it was so generous that it was enough to cause anyone to be speechless.

Many people vividly described the scene that day. “The person who took out the banknotes and passed them over was a maid called Mo Yu. You all probably didn’t know that, but Mo Yu was not an ordinary maid. She served the Old Madam in the Su family. Otherwise, how could she have casually taken out two hundred taels of silver?”

“Was the silver given by Mo Yu? Didn’t they say that it was given to her by the Su family’s Young Miss Biao, who was also that Miss Mu?”

“At that time, I heard what Miss Mu said and said that Wang Zhu from the Wang family was blackmailing her and asked people to go to the doctor to investigate the cause of Old Wang Mama’s death. However, the Eldest Madam of the Su family stopped it....”

“Why stop it? No matter how generous the Su family is, they shouldn’t be able to say that a servant gave away so much silver after her death. There must be a reason behind it.....”

“Who knows, but Lord Shen went to the Su family make inquiries, maybe....”

A sentence will be changed completely after a hundred people. In addition, Mu Yunyao had people secretly guide them, causing rumors to be spread throughout the Capital: Wang Mama and Liu Mama were killed by the Su family. The reason why they gave a hundred silver taels was that they wanted to keep their mouths shut. Wang Mama’s son, Wang Zhu, was greedy. He wanted to blackmail even more after he got a hundred taels. The Su family ignored him and even sent people to harm him secretly. Wang Zhu had no other choice, and in order to survive, he had to bring up the matter to Shun Tian Manor.

When Su Wenyuan heard this news, his face turned ashen. He immediately went to see his wife, the Eldest Madam, and asked, “Why are you giving them money that day when the family of Wang Mama and Liu Mama’s family came to the residence?”

The Eldest Madam Mng was in the middle of considering how to punish Mu Yunyao when she heard these words, so she didn’t react for a moment. “Old Master, why are you so angry?”

“Do you know what the news is spreading in Capital now? I wonder how many people said that our Su family killed many people and then gave them a hundred silver taels as a fee to seal their mouths. If this continued, then the matter might unravel in front of the Emperor. Do the Su family still have the face?”

The Eldest Madam was shocked. “That day happened too suddenly, and coupled with the fact that someone was slandering Yuyi’s reputation outside, I was busy helping Yuyi correct her name and left it to Mu Yunyao to handle it....”

“Give it to her? You think this matter is not messy enough, and you still want to drag Mu Yunyao into this?”

“Old Master, what exactly is going on? I was confused even after hearing it. Even now, I still don’t understand.”

“Forget it, this matter is completely illusory. I’m not afraid of Shen Bingshu investigating it. Now I’ll checked the match cards in residence, is there anything that has been lost?”

The Eldest Madam quickly sent people to check, and then she replied that all the match cards intact and there was no loss.

The Eldest Madam heaved a sigh of relief, “Old Master, the match cards in residence is not very meticulously done. In order to discredit our Su family, someone intentionally faked it.”

Su Wenyuan nodded his head: “You go and thoroughly investigate the residence first, don’t spread any nonsense, I am going to the Shun Tian Manor right now.” If there was no problem with the match cards, the Su family’s suspicions could be cleared.

The Eldest Madam nodded, but her frown did not relax. She kept feeling that things weren’t so simple. While she was thinking, she heard Qi Mama report, “Madam, a woman come to report that she’s here to delivered something to Miss Mu.”

The Eldest Madam was extremely disgusted with Mu Yunyao, and upon hearing that, she sneered: “Sending all sorts of things to the residence, what realm do you take our Su Family to be? Did you ask clearly, what was the gift?”

“She said she was giving away the silver earned from Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo.”

The Eldest Madam’s eyes lit up. “Giving out silver? Do you know how much she’ll give her?”

“This … This servant didn’t ask.” Qi Mama’s face was pale. Even now, her throat still ached faintly, but she had failed to do anything in Baohua Temple and had been ordered to punish her several times by Su Yuyi. Afraid that her position was not preserved, she decided to make amends, so she didn’t dare to rest. She still served the Eldest Madam carefully.

The Eldest Madam’s eyes darted up and down as she smiled coldly, “Call her in. I’ll see her in person.”

“Yes.”

The person who came to send off the silver was Yun Chun. Ever since Mu Yunyao had left Jingling City, Steward Qin had wholeheartedly plotted to set up a Bu Xian Luo in the Capital. The place already had some prospects, so Yun Chun brought people here to settle down first.

Mu Yunyao had only received the news before going to Baohua Temple. Due to the lack of time, she didn’t even have the time to see Yun Chun. After the accident at Baohua Temple, she had asked Si Shu to contact her and ask her to help with something.

Yun Chun’s appearance could not be considered outstanding, but the aura around her body made people feel particularly comfortable. However, she had deliberately restrained her aura, making it seem much more ordinary.

“Greetings, Madam.” Yun Chun came in and knelt down, looking a little stiff.

Seeing her expression, the Eldest Madam calmed down. It seemed that she was just a servant, “Are you here to give the silver to Yunyao?”

“Yes, Madam.”

“Yunyao went to Baohua Temple to pray. She hasn’t come back yet, so give it to me.”

Yun Chun looked hesitant, “Is this inappropriate?”

“Hmm? Could it be that the Su family be ignorant of this little bit of silver?” The Eldest Madam’s expression did not change, and her voice turned colder.

Yun Chun quickly bowed, his expression becoming more reserved, “I would never dare to think like that. Since Young Miss is not here, then I shall hand over the silver to Madam first. I’ll have to trouble Madam to pass it to Young Miss.”

The Eldest Madam slightly nodded her head, “En, Yunyao should be back tomorrow. It’s not easy for you to come all the way from Jingling City, so you should stay in residence for two days first.”

Yun Chun was pleasantly surprised. “Yes, thank you Madam.”

“Qi Mama, take her away and settle her down.”

“Yes.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 338

~ THE SU FAMILY IS ON THE VERGE OF DISASTER ~

Yue Wang’s eyes suddenly lit up as the bright and beautiful rays of light instantly poured down onto Mu Yunyao’s body like sunlight. “I really like your incense stick before.” Mu Yunyao’s body no longer had the resistance and estrangement from before, so when he faintly spoke those intimate words, it made the beating heart in Yue Wang’s chest speed up even more.

Mu Yunyao nodded and quipped slyly, “Fourth Master, if you like it, I can get someone to send you some in the future so that you can have Yu Heng burn some on your clothes.”

Yue Wang originally wanted to refuse, but after seeing Mu Yunyao’s appearance, he couldn’t bear to open his mouth.

Seeing this, Mu Yunyao did not continue to joke, “There are no major injuries on Fourth Master’s body. Just change the dressing and recuperate properly in the future. I have finished copying the Buddhist scriptures and am preparing to pack up my things. I will return to the Su family residence tomorrow.”

When Mu Yunyao mentioned the Su family, the warm atmosphere in the room immediately dissipated.

A great disappointment flashed in Yue Wang’s heart, but business matters now more important. As long as Yunyao was willing to get close to him, they would have plenty of time to get along with each other in the future. “The Su family is in a tight line now. I’m afraid the Su family just waiting for you to go back and be punished.”

Mu Yunyao nodded her head, “En, Su Yuyi hates my guts to the bone. The Old Madam has always been a bystander. The one charging in is the Eldest Madam, and her methods cannot be underestimated.”

“Have you thought of a way to deal with it?”

“Before we came to Baohua Temple, there was a farce in front of the Su family’s residence. Old Wang Mama and Old Liu Mama, who were punished by me, both passed away at the same time, and their families came all the way to the front of the Su family’s residence.”

“Yes, I heard that you paid them 100 taels of silver each?”

“That’s right, Old Liu Mama’s son was still better off, and he was rather honest. However, Old Wang Mama’s son is a complete ruffian, so I sent people to take back the one hundred taels of silver. These few days, I kept sending people to beat him up, warning him not to speak carelessly. In addition he is in a rather difficult situation right now because he’s being forced to come by gambling debts.”

Yue Wang’s eyes moved: You want to use him to create some trouble for the Su family?

“The Su family views me as an enemy and has repeatedly attacked and harmed me. I naturally have to publicize the Su family’s great achievements properly. At this time, it should be time for Old Wang Mama’s son to make a ruckus in Shun Tian Manor.”

“Shun Tian Manor? Shun Tian’s Prefecture Commander, Shen Bingshu, was a righteous and upright man. Because he was born in a poor family, he has never been afraid of powerful people. He even dared to challenge Imperial Father once and assisted investigated the case of Huai’an Wang’s corruption, and he’s always been a busybody. Regardless of whether the big or small cases, he’s always liked to look into it personally. He has been sick several times, and Imperial Father was helpless to do anything about it. If you put the matter in front of him, it will be enough for the Su Family to have a headache for a while.”

“This is the first method. I’ve prepared a few other methods as well, and all I need to do is to wait for the Eldest Madam to be able to hold on....” The sweet bait had already been thrown out. Once the Eldest Madam bites the hook, she won’t be able to struggle free anymore.

“If you need my help, get someone to send a letter over at any time.” Although Yunyao seemed to have a complete plan in her mind, just in case, he also needs to make secret preparations so that he could help out at any time.

“Oh right, my mother has always been thinking about Fourth Master’s injuries. After hearing that we have to leave Baohua Temple tomorrow, she insisted on meeting and thanking you. I wonder if Fourth Master has time?”

Yue Wang, who had just relaxed, suddenly became nervous again: “Madam Su wants to see me? She still doesn’t know who I am. Would she think that I’m deliberately lying to her?”

“I don’t know about that. There are still a few things to pack in the room. I’ll go back first and come back to say goodbye to Fourth Master in the morning.”

After Mu Yunyao left, Yue Wang was somewhat anxious. After thinking for a while, he called Yu Heng in, “Madam Su wants to see me tomorrow, but I’ve concealed my identity before. Do you think Madam Su will blame me?”

Yu Heng thought for a moment and couldn’t help scratching his head. “Your Highness, Madam Su should be happier after knowing your identity, right?” The prince’s status was also very high. With him around, it would be much easier for Miss Mu to deal with the Su family.

Yue Wang looked at Yu Heng coldly and felt that it would be better to throw him back to Western Guangdong. “Write to inform Chief Steward Qin and have him come back to the Capital. Since I am not planning to return to Western Guangdong, then the Palace should be managed properly.”

“Yes, your subordinate will go now.”

In the Capital, Su Wenyuan had just returned from the Ministry of Public Affairs when he heard Shuntian’s Prefecture Commander, Shen Bingshu, came to visit him. He quickly ordered some people to lead him to the parlor and serve him good tea.

According to the rank of the officials, Shen Bingshu was one level lower than him, but Shun Tian Manor had a general view of the Capital’s affairs and has always had special status. Although he was a third rank official, he was no different from a proper official. Shen Bingshu also had always had a righteous personality, so no one was willing to provoke him.

Su Wenyuan walked out. When Shen Bingshu saw that, he stepped forward and greeted him: “Greetings, Lord Su.”

“Lord Shen, there is no need for you to be so courteous. May I know what business you have here?”

“Today, I accepted a case and the words involved Lord Su’s residence. So, I specifically came here to inquire a bit, and if there were any offenses, please forgive me, Lord Su.”

“The case involving my family?” Su Wenyuan frowned as his thoughts raced, “I don’t know what kind of case this is, and bother Lord Shen to make a special trip?”

“A man named Wang Zhu came to Shun Tian Manor to report the case. He claimed that someone had killed his mother, stole his money, and threatened his life.”

“I’ve never heard of this person. What does this have to do with my Su family?”

“You might not have heard of this Wang Zhu, but his mother was once a servant of the Su family. She was punished ten times by the stick before and then expelled from the Su family. Nine days later, she suddenly died.”

Su Wenyuan’s face remained unchanged: “I remember what Lord Shen said. He did make such a fuss. A few days ago, Wang Zhu went to the front of the Su family’s residence and wailed, saying that he did not have money for his mother’s funeral. My wife even got someone to give him a hundred taels of silver. At that time, he happily took the silver and left. Why is he reporting the Su family at the Shun Tian Manor now? Could it be that he is insatiably greedy and think that his money is too little?”

“One hundred taels of silver is not a small sum, and ordinary people would already be able to do dozens of business. Why would the Su family give so much silver?”

“At that time, I was not in the house. When I returned, I heard that it was my niece who comes forward to solve the problem. It was she who ordered to beat them and drive them out of the residence. Perhaps she suddenly heard that they died and felt bad, so she gave each of them a hundred silver taels to let them carry out the funeral.

“Of course. However, I have asked a few commoners. It is said that Miss Mu wanted to invite the doctor to investigate the specific cause of the death of Wang Mama and Liu Mama. It was your wife who stopped them from doing so. After that, Miss Mu had someone to take out two hundred silver taels and split it between two families.”

“People are not allowed to pass in front of the Su family’s residence. How can they know what is going on when they see it from a distance. It’s just a matter of fact. Lord Shen has been in charge of Shun Tian for so many years, so you should understand that what you hear from the hearsay is not evidence.” Su Wenyuan’s facial expression calm and definitely did not take Shen Bingshu’s words to heart at all.

“Indeed, but I have something here. I wonder if Lord Su has any impression of it?” As Shen Bingshu spoke, he took out a small plate from his sleeve with the words “Su Family” carved on it.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 337

~ SERIOUS NONSENSE ~

Inside the Su family residence, everything seemed normal, but the atmosphere was getting tenser and tenser. The atmosphere filled with a feeling like a storm was brewing, and the servants were all holding their breath as they walked more lightly.

A fire broke out in Baohua Temple, and the Emperor was worried about the safety of Grand Princess Yi De. He sent guards to the mountain to escort the Grand Princess Yi Devback to the Palace.

As a result, the news could no longer be concealed. Many young ladies of the official family came to Baohua Temple in the name of praying for blessings, hoping to meet the Grand Princess Yi De. Even if they didn’t, they could use the name of praying for the blessing to show their filial piety.

Qu Mama put down the teacup in her hands and softly reported to Grand Princess Yi De, “Mistress, Miss Mu has come. She said that she has already copied down the Buddhist scriptures.”

The Grand Princess Yi De picked up her teacup and took a sip. “Now that the news of me being on the mountain has spread. It’s best not to cause trouble for Mu Yunyao at this time. Go and receive the Buddhist scripture, and I won’t see her.”

“Yes.”

Mu Yunyao held the Buddhist scripture in both hands as she stood at the entrance of the courtyard. When she saw Qu Mama walked out, she slightly bent her knees and greeted, “Greetings, Qu Mama.”

“Miss Mu is too polite. The Grand Princess asked this servant to send a message saying that she would like to thank Miss for helping to copy the Buddhist scriptures.”

“The Grand Princess is too polite. Yunyao really doesn’t dare to accept it.”

Qu Mama took the Buddhist scriptures and bowed. “Take care and go slowly, Miss Mu.”

Mu Yunyao nodded in return before turning to leave. She was not thinking of entering the eyes of the Grand Princess Yi De, so she was not disappointed when she could not see anyone.

When Qu Mama saw her clean and crisp figure, she couldn’t help but be slightly surprised. She returned to Grand Princess Yi De and explained the matter to her.

Grand Princess Yi De picked up a scroll of Buddhist scriptures and started reading it carefully. “Everyone has sharpened their head and wants to come to me, but she is an exception. It is also surprisingly interesting. How is it going with Jun Yue?”

“His Royal Highness Yue Wang’s spirit is still good. Your servant asked the imperial physician and said that Miss Mu had given His Royal Highness an notably good medicine. I believe he’ll recover a few days earlier than expected.”

The Grand Princess Yi De paused as she flipped through the Buddhist scriptures. “That’s good.”

Inside the room, Yue Wang was pacing back and forth in his room, occasionally glancing towards the door from time to time.

Yu Heng stood at the side with his head lowered. Seeing his master like this, he couldn’t help but say, “Your Highness, Miss Mu has gone to deliver the Buddhist scriptures to Grand Princess Yi De, and she will be here soon. You have some wounds on your back, so sit down and rest for a while.” He can’t believe that the prince, who has always been quiet and indifferent, actually there were times when he was so concerned about others.

Yue Wang’s footsteps paused as he sat on a chair to the side and sized up Yu Heng with a cold gaze: “For the past year, Yu Yi has been running back and forth between Western Guangdong and Jingling City. I have always felt that I have treated him poorly, so I should allow him to rest in the Capital. I’ll leave it to you to pass the message back and forth. How about that?”

Yu Heng’s expression turned bitter as he silently cursed himself in his heart: “Master, Yu Yi isn’t as smart as your subordinate. You definitely won’t be used to using him.”

“He....” Just as Yue Wang was about to say something, he saw a servant come in from the entrance to report to him.

“His Royal Highness... Miss Mu is here.”

Yu Heng immediately ran outside, secretly grateful to Mu Yunyao. If she had been any later, he would have been reduced to Yu Yi’s pigeon, “Greetings, Miss Mu. His Royal Highness is waiting for you in his room.”

“Thank you.”

Mu Yunyao walked into the room. When she saw Yue Wang, she couldn’t help but blink and curtsy down with a smile. “Greetings, Fourth Master.”

Seeing her expression, it was unknown why Yue Wang’s face heated up: “There’s no need to be so courteous. I heard Yu Heng say that you went to deliver the Buddhist scriptures to Imperial Aunt. How did you come over so quickly?”

Hearing this, Mu Yunyao’s smile deepened. “The Fourth Master is particularly well-informed with the news. The Grand Princess Yi De didn’t see me, so I directly came over.”

Yue Wang raised his hand, clenched his fist, put it on his lips, and coughed twice. He did his best to suppress the uneasiness in his heart and silently noted it down for Yu Heng. If it wasn’t for him reminding him just now, he wouldn’t have exposed his intention to keep an eye on Mu Yunyao at all times, “Imperial Father sent someone to the Baohua Temple to take Imperial Aunt back to the Imperial Palace. Therefore, many young ladies of the Capital came here together with them. It’s good for you that Imperial Aunt doesn’t see you here.”

“I know. Today, I’ve been summoned by the Grand Princess Yi De, and I’ll become the target of public criticism tomorrow.” Mu Yunyao stood up and walked over to Yue Wang’s side. “Let me help Fourth Master take a look at the wounds in your back.”

As Mu Yunyao approached, a faint fragrance wafted in the air, causing the heat in Yue Wang’s heart to intensify.

Mu Yunyao did not notice the change in Yue Wang’s expression. She slightly pulled down his clothes and looked at the wound on his back. Compared to yesterday, the color of the wound had become darker, and some of the tiny blisters had disappeared, much better than they had been yesterday. “The wound is recovering well, and I’ll change the medicine for you.

If Fourth Master rests for a while, it should be fine.”

Yue Wang’s attention was completely focused on the fragrance at the tip of his nose, so he did not notice what she had said.

Seeing this, Mu Yunyao called out again, “What is Fourth Master thinking?”

Yue Wang’s face was expressionless, but the expression in his eyes wavered slightly, just like the river under the sun. The light on his face flickered, “I am thinking about what incense you have burned?”

As soon as the words left his mouth, he couldn’t wait to cut off his own tongue. How could he unknowingly ask the question that was on his mind?

Mu Yunyao was also slightly stunned for a moment before hurriedly retreating half a step. She was a bit further away from him. Originally, she felt very uneasy, but when she saw a cold but full of red appearance on Yue Wang’s face, she didn’t know why, but she suddenly laughed.

Previously, Mu Yunyao had always thought Yue Wang had a cold personality and a cold aura surrounding him. In addition to the two unpleasant meetings in his previous life, Mu Yunyao always thought Yue Wang was difficult to get along with. When she saw his reddened face and thought about the various thoughts he had, Mu Yunyao couldn’t help but felt that he is extremely adorable.

Hearing Mu Yunyao’s chuckle, Yue Wang’s expression became even tenser. Once again, he couldn’t help but shake his hand into a fist, which he placed under his lips as he coughed twice. “I didn’t feel it before, but today I realize that I seem to have suffered some internal injuries, and my spirit is often in a trance. That was why he was spouting nonsense.

Seeing him speak so earnestly, the uneasiness in Mu Yunyao’s heart actually dissipated. She slowly walked to the stool next to Yue Wang and sat down, lifting her sleeves to smell slightly, “In the past few days, I’ve been praying in the Baohua Temple. In order to show her piety, she bathes and changes clothes every day. Naturally, I haven’t burned incense. Did Fourth Master smell the fragrance on me?”

In Yue Wang’s heart, he wrote Yu Heng’s name once again. It was all because of his nonsense before that caused his emotions to be thrown into disarray, to the point that he was at a loss when facing Yunyao, “There are some....” The moment the two words left his mouth, Yue Wang’s expression became even more embarrassed.

“I know how to mix some spices. What flavor does Fourth Master like?”

“What I like? Could you make incense whatever I like?”

Mu Yunyao slightly tilted her head and blinked. The smile in her eyes became even stronger. “If Fourth Master doesn’t want this offer, then so be it....”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 336

~ MU YUNYAO CAN’T STAY ~

The Eldest Madam clenched her teeth and suddenly slammed her palm on the table. “Mu Yunyao seduced Qingwu?”

“Yes. Mother, you should think about it more carefully. Previously, Elder Brother had helped her speak up for her several times. At that time, I felt that something was wrong. However, I didn’t think about it too much. Now the truth has been revealed. If it wasn’t for that vixen Mu Yunyao seducing Elder Brother, why would Elder Brother support her many times? Especially this time, She…she broke my arm, but Elder Brother kept scolding me and had no intention of avenging me!”

“Mu Yunyao, you really have the guts!”

Su Yuyi’s tears fell even more, “Mother, could it be that my arm has some kind of disability? The Imperial Family wouldn’t want a disabled daughter-in-law, so you have to save me...”

The Eldest Madam suddenly came back to her senses and looked sharply at the maid at her side. “What are you all standing there for? Why aren’t you going to help the Eldest Miss find a doctor?”

“Yes, this servant will go now.”

The Eldest Madam helped Su Yuyi up and settled her down, “Don’t worry. Mother has already sent someone to get a doctor, so you will definitely be safe and sound. As for that Mu Yunyao, you can rest assured that the moment she returns to the residence, it will be the day of her death!”

Su Yuyi smiled, and the hatred in her heart had calmed down a little: “Mother, that Mu Yunyao is Grandmother’s granddaughter too, can she agree?”

“I have my own ways. First, you should lie down and rest. Mother will go see your Elder Brother.”

Su Yuyi snorted and added fuel to the fire: “Mother should go take a look. I’m afraid that even now, Elder Brother is still helping Mu Yunyao!”

As soon as Su Qingwu finished changing his clothes, he heard the attendant say that the Eldest Madam had arrived. He rose to his feet and walked out to greet his mother. “Greetings, Mother.”

The Eldest Madam walked into the room and sat down. Then, her gaze landed on Su Qingwu, and with a sense of scrutiny in her eyes, she said, “Qingwu, your younger sister is injured. Did you know that it was Mu Yunyao who did it?”

“I know.”

“Since you know, why didn’t you help your sister take revenge?”

“Mother, I don’t know what Yuyi said to you, but now is definitely not the time to touch Mu Yunyao.”

The Eldest Madam suddenly grabbed the teacup on the table, then slammed it down next to Su Qingwu’s feet. “Kneel down!”

Su Qingwu’s forehead creased. He didn’t even spare a glance at the porcelain shard as he directly knelt on the ground, and instantly, there was blood spread on the ground.

The Eldest Madam’s expression didn’t change in the slightest. She got up and walked in front of Su Qingwu, looking down at him condescendingly. “Tell Mother, do you like Mu Yunyao?”

“I don’t like her!”

“Qingwu, Mother has raised you for twenty years. Although Mother doesn’t say that you’re in control, you can roughly guess what your thoughts are. Tell me the truth, do you like Mu Yunyao or not?”

Faced with the Eldest Madam’s questioning, Su Qingwu’s face didn’t change in the slightest. “I don’t like her.”

The Eldest Madam sneered, “Alright, since you don’t like her, then Mother is planning to get rid of her. Do you have any ideas?”

Su Qingwu’s eyes suddenly trembled. “Mother, we can’t act rashly in this matter!”

“Heh, don’t tell me I can’t touch a country girl?”

“If Mu Yunyao is really an ordinary country bumpkin, not to mention one, even there are ten, and Mother wanted to kill her, Son wouldn’t say a single word. However, she wasn’t an ordinary person. Nowadays, the influence of Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo was growing stronger and stronger, especially in Jiangnan. Everyone was aware of Mu Yunyao’s reputation. When she left Jingling City to return to the Su family, the entire city sent her off. Even this Mid-Autumn Festival, the citizens did not forget to send her presents. Once she died in the Su family’s residence, it would cause a great disturbance. At that time...”

“Qingwu, you have such a big reaction, and you still say that you don’t like her?”

Su Qingwu raised her eyes. “Mother, I was just discussing the matter. Yuyi was wronged, but she was the one who caused the fire at Baohua Temple. Aunt Su Qing almost burned to death in the room at that time...”

“Shut up! Your sister has a kind and pure personality, so she would not do such a thing?!” The more Su Qingwu spoke, the angrier the Eldest Madam became.

Su Qingwu frowned, not knowing what to say to make the Eldest Madam understand, “Mother, there are many people who are watching Mu Yunyao, not just our Su family, but the First Prince and Third Prince are also paying attention to her. If we really attack Mu Yunyao, there might be people who will step in to save her. With get Mu Yunyao’s loyalty, it would be equivalent to obtaining Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo. With get Mu Yunyao’s loyalty, it would be equivalent to obtaining Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo. Currently, the few princes are trying to interfere in Jiangnan. However, they not being able to do anything about it, so they will definitely not let go of this opportunity to rope her in.”

“Isn’t it just a few work shop and teahouses? How could they enter the princes’s eyes?”

“Up until now, there are already more than ten shops in Ni Yun Fang. But Bu Xian Luo, it’s not much worse than Ni Yun Fang. The tea leaves that are collected and distributed in different places are still notably popular. More importantly, Mu Yunyao has an extremely high reputation amongst the citizens of Jiangnan. The embroidery needlework that she spread has made countless people benefit from it...”

“Alright!” The Eldest Madam didn’t have the patience to listen to what Su Qingwu had to say. She didn’t want to believe that a dignified lady like her would be unable to handle a girl from the countryside, “Even if she’s valued, she’ll still be punished if she does something wrong. She broke Yu Yi’s arm. This account can’t be easily wiped off!”

If she couldn’t make a move on Mu Yunyao openly, couldn’t she still move in secret? In the many courtyards of the Capital’s various residences, how many people will not die? What she did not lack were methods that could make one wish they were dead!

“Mother....”

“Senior apprentice-sister, senior apprentice-sister …” Su Qingwu wanted to persuade again, but the Eldest Madam didn’t have the slightest bit of patience at all.

“QingWu, you are the eldest son of the Su family and have a bright future. In the future, the entire Su family will be in your hands, do not do anything that would ruin your own future. Otherwise, you don’t need Mother’s hand, but your father will get rid of Mu Yunyao first!” The Eldest Madam’s tone was cold, and her eyes were full of warnings.

Su Qingwu slowly lowered his gaze, only feeling a cold chill in his heart.

“Get up. When the doctor is done with your sister’s injuries, he will come and help you with your diagnosis and treatment. The Autumn Hunt is coming soon, and Among the young talents of previous years, you have always come out on top. Don’t let any accidents happen this year!”

Su Qingwu knelt on the ground, not responding.

The Eldest Madam, however, did not mind at all and left towards the door. After exiting the courtyard, her expression became even gloomier. Mu Yunyao could not stay, definitely can’t stay!

As soon as Su Yuyi entered the residence, she made such a ruckus. Naturally, the news soon spread to the Old Madam. Wen Mama stood at the side with her head lowered, not daring to make a sound. The only sound left in the room was the sound of the Old Madam twisting her Buddhist beads.

After a long time, the Old Madam Sun finally spoke: “Mu Yunyao …. I had really underestimated her. A little girl, she actually dared to challenge the Su family! Wen Mama, you have served by my side for dozens of years. What do you think I should do now?”

“Although I have served Madam for many years, my mind has never improved. I do not dare to speak nonsense.”

The Old Madam’s cheeks twitched, and her hand that twirling the Buddhist beads stopped. “Send someone to get a doctor, tell him that I have a headache and am unable to get up from my bed for the next two days. Don’t spread what has happened in residence to me. The noise is plain and annoying.”

“Yes, Madam.” When the Eldest Madam in the East Courtyard heard this news, her lips lifted into a smile. She pulled Su Yuyi’s hand and said: “Yuyi, from your grandmother’s point of view, she leave the affairs of the house to me. This time, no one can save Mu Yunyao!”

Incurable Chapter 29 Part 2

Chapter 29 (2/2)

“Can I have a little?”

After she asked, Liu Qianxiu turned his head to look at her.

She looked back at him, black pupils bright under faintly furrowed brows.

“This has a strong aftereffect,” Liu Qianxiu said evenly. Then, seeing the slight brightening in her face, he added, “Don’t drink too much.”

“Okay.” Her eyes lit up at once, and she nodded.

“Then I’ll drink it here.”

Mu Wan went to the kitchen and brought back a small cup. Sitting cross-legged on the cushion, she poured herself some. The waxberry wine was still red. As it flowed out, it made a clear, crisp sound and released a cool, fruity scent of alcohol.

After pouring the cup, Mu Wan lifted it and looked out beyond the temple. A crescent moon hung high in the sky, with thin clouds drifting past now and then. The moonlight was pure and cold, and the night sky was deep black and clean.

“So beautiful.” She took a sip. The wine was not strong. In fact, the sweetness nearly covered the alcohol. Only as she swallowed did she catch the faint taste of liquor.

Liu Qianxiu held a book in his hand. He glanced sideways at the night sky, the scent of waxberry wine floating in the air. When he looked back, Mu Wan was already on her second cup.

His lips pressed together slightly. Lowering his eyes, he watched Mu Wan. The cup touched her red lips, vivid against the white porcelain. Sensing his gaze, she looked back at him, pulled the cup away, licked a trace of wine from the corner of her mouth, and offered it toward him.

“It’s good. Want some?”

Her eyes shimmered with light. The fingers holding the white porcelain cup were long and fine.

Liu Qianxiu’s gaze fell on the wine inside. The clear red liquid reflected the light of the main hall, immaculate and unstained.

He shook his head.

“No need.”

Mu Wan drew back her hand and emptied the cup in one swallow. His eyes stayed on her face. As if savoring something playful, she puffed out her cheeks and let the sweetness of the waxberry wine linger all through her mouth. Only after tasting enough did she finally swallow.

After drinking, warmth slowly spread through her body. Staring at the distant moon, she poured herself another cup.

“My mother liked looking at the night sky.”

Her words were disjointed, as though alcohol had loosened buried memories, making the scenes in her mind overlap with the present.

Mu Wan’s life in the Mu family had not been entirely unhappy. Though she had always suffered their coldness, while her mother was alive, she had still lived in relative ease and comfort. Her mother had not been powerful, but she had been strong enough to protect her.

In the blink of an eye, it had been ten years since her mother’s death.

Ten years since she had become a weed growing wild with no father and no mother.

The corners of Mu Wan’s eyes turned cold. She drank the wine in her cup again.

No one protected her now.

But someone was with her.

Mu Wan’s cheeks had grown hot. She slumped onto the table and turned her head to stare at Liu Qianxiu beside her. He had stopped reading. Watching the flush deepen in her face, he set the book down on the table and said, “Go rest first.”

“No.” Her breath was warm when she spoke. She lifted a finger and shook it. “I’ll keep you company.”

Liu Qianxiu was not reading.

He was watching her.

Mu Wan set the porcelain cup down. The base struck the tabletop with a soft sound. Resting her cheek on the back of her hand, she tilted her head toward him, her watery eyes narrowed, her gaze keen.

“You can’t calm yourself anymore.”

“Mm.” Liu Qianxiu remained calm. Looking at her, he admitted it.

Mu Wan’s eyes stirred. Her lashes trembled. The memory finally tore through that thin sheet and came flooding back like a tide.

She remembered what Liu Qianxiu had said to her last night.

Both hands flat on the table, Mu Wan fixed her eyes on him, light flickering within them, and said, “Last night, you said the environment wouldn’t affect your state of mind.”

She pushed down lightly on the table and leaned toward him. The corners of her eyes were flushed, her pupils black, her voice low and husky.

“You said only people would affect your state of mind.”

The distance between them grew smaller and smaller. Liu Qianxiu lowered his gaze to her.

Mu Wan leaned farther in and caught hold of both his arms.

The moment she grabbed him, the aftereffect of the wine surged up. Her head went heavy, her feet light, and she toppled straight into his arms.

The clean scent of sandalwood thinned out the wine.

Resting against his chest, Mu Wan tipped her face up, lips trembling.

“Liu Qianxiu, who is that person?”

The woman in his arms was white as snow, soft-bodied, dark-haired.

Like a newly formed demon, she had come before his seat to question his Dao.

Innocent and heedless, she did not know danger or measure.

She clung to him, arms curling around his waist, her long fingers interlacing as she drew their bodies closer. Looking down, he could smell the wine on her. Looking up, she could smell the sandalwood on him.

“The third time,” the man said in a low voice.

His lips pressed tight. Liu Qianxiu reached for the wine jar.

The cool waxberry wine flowed into the porcelain cup with a clear sound. He lifted the cup and drank it in one swallow.

His throat moved. In the man’s cool, silent black eyes, some emotion seemed to begin stirring at last.

He set down the cup.

Then Liu Qianxiu placed both hands at the woman’s waist and lifted her, settling her directly in front of him.

Now the scent of alcohol on him had grown stronger, too. His dark eyes rested quietly on the woman in his arms. His voice was deep and hoarse, the tone long and drawn out.

“Did you really think I had no desire?”

Incurable Chapter 29 Part 1

Chapter 29 (1/2)

The entire Qingyuan Temple gave Mu Wan the impression of being clean, solid, plain, and orderly.

Its architecture could not be called delicate. If anything, it was somewhat rough, steeped in age. Yet that very roughness wrapped the whole temple in a cinematic texture.

The slanting sun broke through the thick clouds at the horizon, and several beams of light streamed in. The small room was washed bright, the air faintly scented with sandalwood.

Mu Wan smiled and followed Liu Qianxiu into the side hall.

The room was not large. The furniture and bed were all made of wood, a dark reddish-black timber polished smooth, with no sharp edges, carrying the heavy, settled depth of time.

Inside, there was only one bed, one low table, and two meditation cushions. A desk lamp sat on the low table. The signal on the mountain was bad, but phone calls were fine, and there was electricity.

“You rest first,” Liu Qianxiu said after setting down her suitcase. “I’m going to check on Qingchan.”

Then he turned and left, pulling the side hall door shut behind him.

Qingchan had just come back from calling Master. When he saw Liu Qianxiu, he asked, “Where’s Sister?”

“She’s resting,” Liu Qianxiu replied. Then he said to Qingchan, “Would it be all right if I shared your room for the next few days?”

“Of course.” Qingchan nodded readily. “I usually sleep with Master anyway. I don’t dare sleep alone.”

Master Xuan Qingzi normally slept in the main hall. The two rooms on either side of the side hall had been prepared for Liu Qianxiu and Qingchan. Since Liu Qianxiu was usually away, Qingchan never dared sleep in the side hall by himself and generally went to sleep with Master instead.

“Let’s go.” Liu Qianxiu took Qingchan with him to the room on the right side of the main hall.

Mu Wan had not actually done much that day besides climbing the mountain for an hour, which was not especially exhausting. Yet once she lay down on the bed and read for a while, her eyelids grew heavy, and she fell asleep.

As her consciousness blurred, she seemed to hear someone speaking again. The words felt wrapped in a layer of mist, too indistinct to make out. But the voice was low, familiar, and pleasant. Mu Wan quickly recognized it as Liu Qianxiu’s voice.

What exactly had he said to her last night?

That question was still on her mind when she woke up.

After thinking about it for a long time to no avail, she got up and stepped outside. She had not slept very long. It was not fully dark yet. Looking up, she could still catch sight of the crimson sun sinking beyond the corner of the temple’s main hall wall.

The moss on the ground was damp. Mu Wan walked to the incense burner in the center of the courtyard and looked toward the main hall. Inside, the man in a light teal Taoist robe sat with his head lowered, reading.

Sunlight poured in, casting a reddish-gold glow across his cold white skin. Seated before the low table, he seemed distant and solitary, black brows, black hair, clean-cut features—like an immortal from the heavens.

As if sensing her arrival, he lifted his eyes. His expression was light and clear, his voice like spring water.

“Hungry?”

Pulled back from her wandering thoughts, Mu Wan smiled, walked over, nodded, and said, “I’m hungry.”

The rear courtyard of the temple was smaller than the front. There were two rooms at the back, as old as the temple itself, built of rough blue brick still damp from the weather. One was the kitchen. The other was probably the washroom. In front of them stood an old well and a small vegetable patch.

The garden was not large, but it held quite a variety of vegetables. There was even a trellis supporting tender green cucumbers and long beans. A temple was, after all, a place of retreat and self-cultivation. Conditions were naturally simple. Being so removed from the secular world, it had to be self-sufficient.

Earlier, while Mu Wan rested, Qingchan had slept as well. By the time Liu Qianxiu finished making dinner, Qingchan had only just woken, rubbing his eyes as he ran over to find his junior brother. The moment he saw Liu Qianxiu, he wrapped himself around his leg and clung there.

A child was still a child. With his little topknot and his chubby face, hanging onto Liu Qianxiu’s leg like that, he looked indescribably adorable.

As she set the table, Mu Wan laughed and asked, “When your junior brother isn’t here, do you cling to your master like this too?”

Qingchan blinked open his sleepy tea-colored eyes—beautiful little eyes—and shook his head, saying softly, “No. Master’s legs are too short. Now that I’m bigger, I can’t hang on.”

Mu Wan glanced at Liu Qianxiu. At nearly six-foot-three, his legs were undeniably long enough for Qingchan to cling to for at least another couple of years.

Even in front of a child, Liu Qianxiu’s expression did not change much. After sitting down, he simply reminded Qingchan to eat on his own. The little boy listened obediently, holding his bowl and chopsticks and eating earnestly.

Under the soft light, one tall, one small, the pair somehow radiated a quiet warmth that was hard to put into words.

After dinner, Mu Wan received a call from Li Nan. The signal inside the temple was poor, so she stepped outside and sat on the stone bench beneath the pine tree. Li Nan sounded far less calm than he had in the past few days. There was even a trace of urgency in his voice.

“Have you gotten on someone’s bad side?” he asked. “The jobs we’d already settled last week all called me over the last two days to say your scenes had been cut. They paid the penalties, but your work was only booked through next week, and now none of the productions that are about to start will sign you. You’ve got no acting work lined up at all after this.”

What did that mean?

It meant her road ahead had been completely blocked.

Her pay rate was neither high nor low. Double penalty fees for a few projects were hardly a small amount. But for Mu Qing, it was next to nothing.

The point of all this was obvious: to force Mu Wan to go beg her. Mu Qing had straightened her spine by her own efforts. Mu Qing was determined to break it.

Shadows pooled around her, and Mu Wan felt her mood sour.

This was a private grudge. There was nothing Mu Wan could really say to Li Nan. And even if she did, it would not help. If the company realized she had run into someone this troublesome, it was entirely possible they would give up on her instead.

Next week is her mother’s death anniversary.

At that thought, Mu Wan lifted her eyes toward the window.

It was six in the evening. The summer sun still hung high, though no longer with the harsh blaze of noon. Looking at that gentler light, Mu Wan pressed her lips together.

The tenth anniversary of her mother’s death.

Also, the tenth year since she had become truly fatherless and motherless.

Liu Qianxiu stood in the doorway watching her, his gaze lowered.

Only after she had smoothed the gloom out of her expression and lowered her head again to play her game did he push the door open and walk inside.

Mu Wan turned at the sound. Something in her eyes jumped. She set down her phone and looked at him.

“You’re done?”

“Mm.”

Liu Qianxiu came in, set down the papers in his hand, and shrugged off his white coat. Without it, the fitted clothes underneath made him look even more striking than the sunset outside—lean, cool, and painfully bright.

Mu Wan stared without meaning to. By the time Liu Qianxiu came to stand in front of her, she had only just pulled herself back together.

She rose from her chair.

“We need to take the cats to my friend’s place first,” Liu Qianxiu said. “I have surgery tomorrow, so I won’t have time to go then.”

“The same friend as last time?” Mu Wan thought of Xu Xingkong—that gentle woman who felt like lavender and soft wind.

“Mm.”

“Do you have another strawberry milk?”

Mu Wan asked.

Liu Qianxiu did not answer.

He simply went to the office drawer, took out another carton, and handed it to her.

“Don’t drink too much on an empty stomach.”

She shook the pink carton lightly. The sweet milky liquid bumped softly against the sides, and Mu Wan smiled.

“It’s not for me.”

She wanted to give it to Xu Xingkong.

Last time, Xu Xingkong had given her a plum—sweet enough to leave a memory.

They went home first to collect the cats.

Used to the car by now, the three little ones and Zhouyi were all quite calm inside the carriers. Only Dàtóu, the chatterbox, kept meowing the whole way.

By the time they reached the South District, the roads had opened up, and the car quickly sped onto the coastal highway.

The line of the sea had been painted gold by the setting sun. The car window was cracked open just a little, and a gust of sea wind rushed in—salty, damp, and cool, driving away the summer heat.

No wonder everyone bought homes by the sea. The air was fresh, yes, but the evening view alone was worth it. The horizon swallowed half the sun, the rippling sea curled with golden light, and wave after wave folded over one another like night-blooming flowers opening all at once.

Mu Wan sat in the passenger seat, looking past Liu Qianxiu toward the sea.

The sunset was gold.

The side of his face was gold, too.

His smooth forehead, high brow bone, elegant nose bridge, straight nose, and the faint line of his lips.

From her angle, the outline of his profile looked like a beautiful paper-cut pasted onto a sky drenched in evening glow, almost holy in its unreachability.

“Do you want to stop and look?”

The sunset was particularly beautiful tonight. Liu Qianxiu had clearly noticed her gaze fixed on the window and asked lightly.

The moment he said it, Mu Wan was tempted.

Even if they stopped now, they would only catch the very last of the sun disappearing. If they dropped the cats off first and came back later, the sun would be long gone.

“Okay.” Mu Wan agreed with a smile.

Liu Qianxiu pulled the car into an open lot by the shoreline.

He was obviously not unfamiliar with the place. After parking, the two of them got out and walked toward the water.

Mu Wan was not exactly someone who adored the sea.

She had grown up in Xiacheng. Her mother had brought her to the coast when she was little, and school excursions had brought her here plenty of times, too.

But she had never seen the sea like this.

The slanting sun sank into the water. Waves rolled one after another, all burnished in red-gold light. The wind lifted the hem of her skirt. Barefoot on the beach, she let the tide rush up around her ankles—cool and gentle—and the sand slipped away between her toes.

Her mood that morning had not been good.

But after seeing Liu Qianxiu in the afternoon, it had only grown brighter and brighter.

He said she could go to Qingyuan Temple.

He handed her strawberry milk.

He had brought her here now to watch the sunset.

Anything he did for her could make flowers bloom in her heart.

He was the source of all her happiness.

The man walked ahead of her, tall and slender. The last light of sunset stretched out his shadow until it fell over her body.

Mu Wan looked at him like she was looking at a god she could long for but never truly reach.

They watched the horizon in silence. Neither of them had spoken since getting out of the car.

Only once the sun had disappeared completely and the air had turned cool did Liu Qianxiu stop, turn to her, and say, “Let’s go.”

The mountain air was cool at night, but Li Nan’s phone call had left a restless heat inside her that she could not quite dispel. A little wine and then some sleep, and perhaps she would feel better.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 335

~ THE RAIN IS COMING, AND THE WIND IS BLOWING ALL OVER THE BUILDING ~

Being looked at by Mu Yunyao with a smile in her clear eyes, Yue Wang felt as if his heart was beating even faster, “Yunyao, what happened? Can you tell me if I can help you? I will do my best.”

“It’s not a big deal. Fourth Master will just help me find the whereabouts of the remaining four people. It’s getting late. Mother should be awake by now, so I’ll take my leave first.”

Yue Wang nodded: “Alright then.”

After Mu Yunyao bowed, she walked out and stopped at the door before turning around. “I hope Fourth Master can take a good rest. I’ll come visit again tomorrow.”

Yue Wang was startled as he opened his mouth to say something. However, he saw that Mu Yunyao had already walked out of the door.

Before long, Yu Heng walked in. “Master, the Su family’s Eldest Young Master and Eldest Young Miss have already left the mountain and returned to the Su family’s residence. I heard that the Su family’s Eldest Young Miss’s arm was broken, and Qi Mama, who came to serve, has also been injured....”

No wonder when he said that the fire was coincidental, Mu Yunyao directly said that Su Yuyi and Qi Mama had planned it. She had always attached the most importance to Madam Su. Since Su Yuyi dared to reach her hands to Yunyao, it was well-deserved that they were broken.

“What about Su Qingwu? How did he react?”

“He talked to Miss Mu and seems to have left unhappy after a few words. He then arranged for a carriage to take Su Yuyi and the rest back to the residence.”

“Su Qingwu is a rare sensible person, but he was taught by Su Wenyuan and the Meng family….” Yue Wang sat on the chair. As he placed his finger on the table, he bumped into the portrait that Mu Yunyao had left behind, “That’s right, get people to watch Liu Nan and find out what’s wrong with him. In addition, let people pay attention to these four people in the portrait. Be careful and don’t alert the enemy. Report to us as soon as you find them.”

“Yes.”

Yu Heng backed out of the room. Yue Wang stood up and paced around the room twice, his heart thinking back about Mu Yunyao’s expression just now. Her attitude was a little different from before, and she seemed to be closer to him. This kind of cognition made him happy.

It had to be known that when they were in Jingling City before, because of his impulsive probing, Mu Yunyao had made up her mind to draw a line between them. But now she was willing to work with him again, and her attitude seemed close!

After coming to this conclusion, the corner of Yue Wang’s lips rose. It was as if his heart filled with a snow-white cloud that slowly floated down to the ground.

Yunyao had said before she left that she would visit again tomorrow. But now that as soon as she left, he was already looking forward to tomorrow.

Si Shu followed beside Mu Yunyao and carefully looked at her expression several times. She could not help but ask, “Miss, are you unhappy?” Miss’s eyes were red, and from the looks of it, she seemed to have been crying. Did Fourth Master bully Miss?

Mu Yunyao shook her head, unwilling to say more, “Nothing.”

Returning to the room, Si Qin came over and reported, “Miss, this servant took the portrait and asked the Discipline Monk of Baohua Temple if there were any people in the portrait. He said that there is no person in the portrait in the temple.” The person who came to deliver the false information last night was a fake monk.

Mu Yunyao nodded. She wasn’t disappointed because she had expected that. “Keep the portrait safe and well. Maybe you’ll be able to see it in the future. Has Mother woken up?”

“Madam has already been awake for a while. According to Miss’s instructions, Si Qi massaged Madam’s ankles. This servant brought some porridge over, and Madam eat half a bowl.”

When Mu Yunyao walked into the room, Su Qing leaned against the headboard, thinking about something. “Mother, what’s the matter?”

Seeing Mu Yunyao coming in, Su Qing’s expression became a bit more relaxed. She shook her head slightly with an inquiring look on her face.

“Mother, you don’t need to worry. I just went to visit Young Master Ning. His injuries weren’t too severe, so he should be fine after a few days of rest.”

Su Qing nodded and breathed a sigh of relief. When they escaped, the wooden beam was supposed to be aimed at her. Luckily, Young Master Ning had risked his life to save her. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to see Yao’er.

Mu Yunyao thought for a moment, then decided to tell her about Su Yuyi, “Mother, this fire was caused by Su Yuyi and Qi Mama. Before you and Si Qi fainted, it was Qi Mama who secretly attacked you.”

Su Qing opened her mouth, but she was not surprised. When she woke up, she thought back to the previous situation and knew there was something wrong. She just didn’t expect Su Yuyi, who looked so beautiful and unparalleled, but her mind was so vicious.

“Mother, Eldest Brother has taken Cousin Yuyi and the others back to the Su family’s residence. Only Mother and I are left in Baohua Temple. After I finish copying the Buddhist scriptures and send them to Grand Princess Yi De, we will return to the Su family.”

Su Qing nodded and sighed. If she could, she really didn’t want to go back to the Su family’s residence.

“There’s one more thing I need to tell mother. Su Yuyi had malicious thoughts and almost took Mother’s life. That’s why I broke her arm.” Mu Yunyao carefully watched Su Qing’s expression as she spoke.

Su Qing was stunned for a moment before she looked worriedly at Mu Yunyao. She wanted to say something. However, because her throat is too painful, she can’t make a sound.

Mu Yunyao hurriedly consoled him, “Mother, don’t worry. I already have a plan, and this matter will be resolved successfully. I’ll tell you now, just to let you know in your heart that this matter is not to be worried because it has suddenly burst out.”

Su Qing was still a little anxious. Su Yuyi is the apple of the eye of the Su family. The Old Madam and the Eldest Madam had treated her as a treasure. Yunyao broke one of her arms, and the Su family would definitely cause a huge commotion. They might even find a chance to punish Yunyao, and it would definitely not be a light punishment when the time comes...

“Mother, don’t worry. This time, the Su family is already so lucky to be able to take care of themselves. They will definitely not have the chance to cause trouble for us.”

Su Qing was still can’t stop worrying, but when she saw Mu Yunyao’s confident look, she slowly suppressed the worry in her heart. She stretched out her hand to help Mu Yunyao smooth out the hair beside her ear. If she put her in an ordinary family, she is still happy and free from worries at the age of Yunyao. But when she entered the Su family’s residence, on the other hand, she was in danger at every step...

Mu Yunyao and Su Qing were peacefully staying at the Baohua Temple, but the Su family was in an uproar.

Earlier, when she heard that Baohua Temple was on fire, Eldest Madam had been extremely anxious. She had sent someone to investigate the matter. In the morning, she got up early to wait for the news, and the pale-faced and haggard Su Yuyi had arrived in the Su family’s residence.

Looking at Su Yuyi’s face, the Eldest Madam’s eyes widened in disbelief. She was stunned for a moment before rushing over to Su Yuyi, “Yuyi, what happened to you? How did you get injured?”

Su Yuyi’s eyes turned red, and she rushed into the Eldest Madam’s arms. “Mother, you have to avenge me!”

The Eldest Madam frowned and quickly supported her back to the East Courtyard. “What happened?”

Su Yuyi raised her head, her eyes filled with a venomous aura: “Mother, Mu Yunyao is too bold, she broke my hand and even used a quilt to cover me. She almost killed me! Mother, you have to take revenge for me. My arm hurts so much. I want to take revenge on Mu Yunyao one by one! She broke one of my arms, and I’m going to break her limbs!”

“What did you say?” The Eldest Madam frowned coldly and said, “Mu Yunyao broke your hand and almost killed you?”“That’s right, look at my neck. This wound was caused by her dagger! When Elder Brother found out about this news, not only did he not help me, he even spoke for Mu Yunyao. Mother, I’m afraid you don’t know, but Mu Yunyao is a fox. Not only did she seduce the Third Prince, but she also seduced Elder Brother!”
