Incurable Chapter 29 Part 1

The Qingyuan Temple made Mu Wan feel clean, firm, pure, and tidy. The architecture of Taoist temples is simple, even rough, with a sense of age. It’s just like this, which gives the Taoist temple the quality of a film location.

The setting sun broke through the thick clouds in the sky, and a few rays of sunlight came in. The small room was shining through, and sandalwood was fragrant in the air.

Mu Wan smiled and followed Liu Qianxiu into the side hall.

The room in the side hall is not big. The furniture and bed inside are all made of black-red wood, the surface is smooth, and there are no edges or corners, with a heavy sedimentary background.

There is only one bed, a short table, two futons, and a desk lamp on the small table in the room. The network signal on the mountain is weak, but making a phone call is not a problem, and the electricity is also connected.
“You rest first.” Liu Qianxiu put down her suitcase and said, “I’ll go to see Qing Chan.”

Liu Qianxiu turned around, went out, and closed the door to the main hall. Qing Chan just called his Master when he saw Liu Qianxiu, and he asked, “Where is my sister?”

“She wants to rest.” After Liu Qianxiu finished, he asked Qing Chan: “Can I rest in the same room with you these few days?”

“Yes.” Qing Chan nodded quickly, “I usually sleep with Master. I dare not sleep by myself.”

Xuan Qingzi usually sleeps in the main hall. The rooms on the left and right of the side hall are prepared for Liu Qianxiu and Qing Chan. Normally, when Liu Qianxiu is not there, Qing Chan does not dare to sleep in the side hall by himself and usually goes to his Master’s room to sleep.

“Let’s go.” Liu Qianxiu took Qing Chan with him and went to the side hall on the right of the main hall.

Mu Wan’s activity today was just climbing the mountain for an hour, so she was not particularly tired. However, she went to bed, and after reading a book for a while, her eyelids sank, and then she fell asleep.

As her consciousness gradually dimmed, someone seemed to be speaking in her ears, and the words seemed covered in a layer of mist, making people unable to listen. But the voice was deep and familiar, so Mu Wan quickly recognized that it was Liu Qianxiu’s voice.

What exactly did he say last night? When Mu Wan woke up, she was still thinking about it.

After thinking for a long time but to no avail, she got up from the bed, opened the door, and walked out. She hadn’t slept for a long time. The outside hadn’t darkened yet, and she could see the red sun coming down the mountain from the corner of the main hall of the Taoist temple.

The moss on the ground was wet, but Mu Wan walked barefeet to the incense burner in the middle of the courtyard and looked at the main hall. In the main hall, Liu Qianxiu, dressed in a water-blue Taoist robe, read.

The sun shone, and the red and golden light poured down on Liu Qianxiu’s cold white skin. A few years ago, Liu Lianxiu was lonely and distant, with black eyebrows, black hair, and a clean silhouette like a fairy in the sky. He seemed to notice Mu Wan’s coming. He raised his eyes and saw her. His eyebrows were light, and his voice was like a clear spring.

“Are you hungry?”

Taking back the loose thoughts, Mu Wan smiled, walked over to him, nodded, and said, “I’m hungry.”

The backyard of the Taoist Temple is smaller than the front yard. There are two houses of the same age as the Taoist Temple. The bricks are rough and wet. One house is a kitchen, and the other should be a bathroom. In front of the two houses is an ancient well and a vegetable garden.

The vegetable garden is small, but many different kinds of vegetables exist. Even a pergola is built with green cucumbers and long beans on it. The Taoist temple is the place where people want to cultivate themselves. The conditions are simple and crude, completely free from the world, and can be self-sufficient.

When Liu Qianxiu was resting, Qing Chan was with him. After Liu Qianxiu finished his dinner, Qing Chan woke up, rubbed his eyes, and ran to look for his Junior Brother. When he saw Liu Qianxiu, he hugged his thighs and stuck it. A child is a child. With a little head and a small face, the appearance of hugging his thighs is expressly cute.

Mu Wan set the table, looked at Qing Chan, and said with a smile, “Did you hug Master like this when your Junior Brother was away?”

Qing Chan opened his wistful eyes, and his tea-coloured eyes were so beautiful. He shook his head and said softly, “No, Master’s legs are too short for me to hang up.”

Looking up at Liu Qianxiu, his height is 1.9, and his leg length is, needless to say, enough for Qing Chan to have two years of hanging on. In front of the children, Liu Qianxiu’s face remained unchanged. After sitting down, he reminded Qingchan to eat by himself. The little guy listened to him and ate seriously with the bowls and chopsticks.

The lighting is soft, one small and one big person. There is always an indescribable warmth in it.

After dinner, Mu Wan received a call from Li Nan. The signal in the temple was not good, so she walked out and sat on the stone bench under the pine tree. Li Nan’s tone is far from the calmness of the previous few days. But, he had a vague sense of urgency.

“Have you been targeted by someone?” Li Nan asked, “The schedule we negotiated last week, all of them called me in the past two days to tell me that the scene was deleted. The liquidated damages were already given. I just received your schedule next week, and the crew that started filming will not sign you, so you don’t have any filming in the following time.”

What does this mean? It means that her road will be blocked in the future.

Her current salary is not high or low, and the liquidated damages are paid double. But these few dramas are not a small amount for her. However, for Mu Qing, it was nothing at all.

Mu Qing did this for nothing more than to make Mu Wan beg her. The spine that she relies on her own efforts was about to be punctured. The dark shadow is diffuse, and Mu Wan’s mood is slightly irritable.
These are personal grievances, and she can’t tell Li Nan. Besides, it’s useless to say it. The company may abandon her if he knows she has encountered such a hard nail.

Next week will be the anniversary of Mother’s death.

Mu Wan rubbed her face. It was getting dark, and the wind on the top of the mountain was a bit cold. She sat there for a while, finally got up, and walked in.

The lights in the main hall were on, and the three statues under the lights were extremely majestic. No one was on the short table and the futon beside the statue. Mu Wan looked at the side hall and saw the lamp turned on. Liu Qianxiu should have sent Qing Chan to bed.

Qing Chan didn’t sleep well in the afternoon, so when he was eating, he was confused. After eating, he meditated in the main hall with his little hands on his cheeks. After meditating, Qing Chan couldn’t help but lie on the table and fall asleep. Liu Qianxiu carried him to the side hall first. After he was asleep, he returned to the main hall again.

Only three statues were in the main hall when he left, but now, there is a woman. The lights shine on the statues like ice, fierce and evil. But when the lights shine on Mu Wan, it is like fire, bright and moving.

She sits like a snake. She usually doesn’t sit properly at his house. She is sitting in the main hall, still soft and lazy. With her arms resting on the short table, his body was twisted, her pointed chin was slightly raised, and her small face was hidden under the thick black hair, which was more white than ever.
