Incurable Chapter 68 She Has Talent (2)
The Whole World
Once everything was ready, Liu Anzhi changed costumes.
Even dressed in coarse cloth with her hair braided, the little girl still somehow looked fresh and ethereal.
She listened carefully to her mother’s instructions.
The moment the director called action, her expression immediately changed.
Tears instantly gathered in her eyes.
The sight of such a tiny child looking on the verge of tears made everyone around them suck in a breath.
Even Mu Wan froze for a moment.
“Mother~”
Liu Anzhi called.
Mu Wan came back to herself and immediately entered character.
Mother and daughter completed the entire scene in a single take.
The instant they finished, the director called cut.
Liu Anzhi immediately transformed from the obedient, sensible little girl in the scene back into a child who loved acting spoiled.
Tears still clung to her eyelashes.
Yet she was already smiling.
Her eyes were crystal clear inside their reddened rims.
She stretched out both arms.
“Mommy, carry me.”
It was her first time acting.
The director applauded first.
Everyone else followed.
Mu Wan picked her up.
Liu Qianxiu unwrapped the promised lollipop and gave it to her.
Anzhi put her favorite strawberry-flavored candy into her mouth.
Like a little squirrel, she rested against her mother’s shoulder and happily ate it.
After the scene was complete, Mu Wan and Anzhi went to change.
The original little actress and her mother were changing too.
Seeing Anzhi, the child’s mother said to her daughter,
“Look at your little sister. That was her first time acting and she did so well. You should learn from her.”
The little actress was one year older than Anzhi.
Yet even in front of another child, she remained painfully shy.
She simply hugged her mother’s leg and hid behind her.
Liu Anzhi held the lollipop in her mouth.
She looked at the other girl.
“I acted well because my mommy acted with me. If Auntie acted with Big Sister, Big Sister would act very well too.”
Such considerate words coming from a child so young made the little actress’s mother stare in surprise.
Mu Wan had already changed and walked over.
She lifted Anzhi into her arms and kissed her twice.
“Say goodbye to Auntie and Big Sister.”
“Bye-bye~”
Anzhi smiled and waved.
Mother and daughter left the changing room and reunited with Liu Qianxiu.
The family of three went home together.
Perhaps because she had acted with Mu Wan that afternoon, Anzhi remained unusually excited.
She went to sleep an hour later than usual.
After Liu Qianxiu finally coaxed her to sleep, he returned to the bedroom.
Mu Wan had just showered.
She wore pajamas, her hair loose around her shoulders, and was reading a script.
Under the soft lighting, her features looked deeper and more defined.
Hearing footsteps, she raised her eyes.
Her dark gaze immediately brightened.
Her eyes curved.
She set down the script and opened her arms.
Liu Qianxiu’s expression softened too.
He walked over and embraced her.
Her body was soft and carried the fragrance of freesia.
He lowered his head and kissed her hair.
Mu Wan narrowed her eyes with a smile.
Then she raised her face and kissed him.
“Anzhi asleep?”
“Mm.”
Liu Qianxiu got into bed.
He had already showered before putting Anzhi to sleep.
Their kisses gradually deepened.
Eventually, he pressed Mu Wan beneath him.
Their intimacy was long and lingering.
By the time it ended, Mu Wan no longer had any strength left to read her script.
Liu Qianxiu held her in his arms.
The two chatted lazily.
“A director called me,” Mu Wan said. “He asked if Anzhi could act in a film.”
Her phone had barely stopped ringing after they returned from the filming base.
Anzhi clearly had talent.
She also had the right appearance.
“Mm.”
Unexpectedly, Liu Qianxiu showed almost no emotional reaction.
“When Little Seedling likes Anzhi, you’re already protective of her,” Mu Wan reminded him. “If she really becomes an actress, tens of thousands of fans will like her.”
“I told you before,” Liu Qianxiu answered. “I’ll make sure she’s safe.”
“And having people like her isn’t a bad thing. They simply shouldn’t do anything to her without her consent.”
The problem with Little Seedling was that he constantly tried to kiss Anzhi.
And Anzhi did not actually enjoy being kissed by unfamiliar people.
Even Liu Qianxiu himself did not kiss her casually.
Most of the time, he simply held and protected her.
Mu Wan smiled.
She raised her head and looked at Liu Qianxiu.
“So having people like Anzhi isn’t a bad thing.”
“What if someone likes me?”
“Who?”
Liu Qianxiu asked immediately.
Mu Wan froze.
“I was just giving an example.”
As soon as she said that, she saw his gaze relax slightly.
He had apparently taken her seriously just now.
A wave of sweetness spread through Mu Wan.
“Then that’s a bad thing.”
Liu Qianxiu finally answered her original question.
The difference in treatment was far too obvious.
Mu Wan became dissatisfied.
“Why?”
“Because it’s a bad thing for me.”
Liu Qianxiu kissed the corner of her eye.
His expression was gentle and deeply affectionate.
“I’m sorry. When it comes to you, I’m usually much more selfish.”
Mu Wan looked into Liu Qianxiu’s eyes.
She sank helplessly into them.
Then she smiled and lifted her head to kiss the corner of his mouth.
“I like it when you’re selfish like that, because I belong to you.”
Mu Wan looked at him.
Her voice was certain.
“And you belong to me.”
She curled obediently against his chest.
His arms could completely enclose her.
They tightened slightly.
Their bodies pressed even closer together.
Liu Qianxiu looked toward the full moon outside the window.
Cold moonlight reflected in his eyes.
Then softened beneath the warmth there.
Holding Mu Wan, he answered in a deep voice,
“Mm. I do.”
Before meeting her, he had never felt that he truly possessed anything.
After meeting her—
he felt as though he possessed the entire world.
— The End —
