Incurable Chapter 24 Part 2

The white pigeon flew by outside the window. In the quiet cat room, Mu Wan’s voice was still echoing. After she finished speaking, she looked toward Liu Qianxiu. Liu Qianxiu stood in the light, the sunlight shining through his light coffee-coloured shirt, and his tight waistline was faintly visible. He lowered his eyes to look at her. His eyelashes cast a shadow on his lower eyelid, and his voice was deep, like a clear spring of a mountain stream.

“What would you like for breakfast?”

With a smile on her face, Mu Wan looked at his sharp eyebrows. Her heartbeat paused, and she said, “Sandwich and orange juice.”

“Okay.” Liu Qianxiu answered, got up, and left the cat room. Mu Wan looked at his back and laughed again.

The sandwich is easy to make, so when Mu Wan goes to the kitchen after feeding the three little ones, it is already done. When she appeared, Liu Qianxiu answered the phone at the dining table. “Well, I’ll go there immediately.”

Mu Wan only heard the ending, but after listening to him, she knew he needed to leave home immediately. Mu Wan didn’t sit in the dining chair, but she looked at him and said, “Are you going to leave? I’ll be leaving with you, too.”

“No need.” Liu Qianxiu put the mobile phone away and looked at Mu Wan, who was about to leave. His lips parted, and he said, “You stay here. You can leave here after you finish your breakfast.”

There was a sandwich and a glass of orange juice on the table. Liu Qianxiu should know that he was going out, so he made only one breakfast serving. Mu Wan’s eyelashes trembled. She looked at Liu Qianxiu’s back and followed out together.

The sunlight in the living room was very gentle, and the three little ones who had just been fed in the cat room were crying because they were full of milk. Liu Qianxiu looked at Mu Wan as he stood straight, always looking at her. He paused slightly and confirmed, “The movie is half-past seven, right?”

“Huh?” Mu Wan returned to her senses, smiled at him, and nodded, “Yes. It doesn’t matter if you are late.”

“I see.” Liu Qianxiu finished speaking, opened the door, and walked out.

Mu Wan watched Liu Qianxiu leave and felt the warmth in the house being pulled away with his departure. It had become cold.

It’s no different from being in her own home.

After finishing the sandwiches and tidying up the kitchen, Mu Wan stayed briefly and left the house.

He has a meeting in the morning and surgery in the afternoon, which takes eight hours. After the surgery, Liu Qianxiu’s fingers curled slightly, stiff and numb. The anesthesiologist stopped the anaesthesia, and the assistant removed the surgical gown. Liu Qianxiu sat quietly on the lounge bench and squeezed his palm.

After the surgery, Xiao Tan went to the operating room to look for Liu Qianxiu. The nurse told him that Liu Qianxiu was in the lounge, so he came to look for him.

Liu Qianxiu sat on the bench, still upright, his eyebrows drooping, his expression calm, but his eyes showed some fatigue. Also, even Iron Man couldn’t stand the eight-hour operation.

“You’re too tired to drive the car, aren’t you? I’ll take you home.” Xiao Tan looked at Liu Qianxiu’s almost paralyzed hand and said to him.

Liu Qianxiu raised his head and glanced at him, loosened his palms, his slender fingers curled slightly, his knuckles clearly defined. “No need. What time is it now?”

Xiao Tan raised his wrist to look at his watch, telling the time, and said, “At half-past seven.”

When Liu Qianxiu heard the time, his eyes moved, and he stood up quietly and began to take off his white coat. After removing the coat, the light coffee-coloured shirt and beige trousers were exposed. He is tall and has long legs. His cotton and linen clothes are extraordinarily textured. The wrist cuffs were rolled up, revealing the smooth-lined wrist bones and slightly convex tendon, which looked particularly good on the cold white skin.

Liu Qianxiu gives people a very light feeling, but he is a very delicate person from the inside to the outside. No matter his appearance or personality, it’s no wonder that women like him.

Thinking of this, Xiao Tan asked: “Why didn’t Miss Mu come to see you recently?”

After closing the locker, Liu Qianxiu put on his watch and said faintly, “I’ll go to see her.”

“Huh?” Xiao Tan looked up at him with a surprised expression. Xiao Tan wanted to ask carefully, “No, you are now...”

Liu Qianxiu obviously didn’t want to say much. Then he told Xiao Tan: “I will take leave on Wednesday afternoon, and I’ll be back next Monday.”

Knowing what he meant, Xiao Tan didn’t ask more, but he followed his topic and said, “Do you want to go to Qingyuan temple?”

“Yeah.” Liu Qianxiu replied, got up, and left.

Eight o’clock is the golden peak of the movie theatre. When Liu Qianxiu arrives, people enter the theatre, all waiting to watch the movie. He glances across the crowd and sees Mu Wan sitting in the rest area.

She wore a fishbone braid and put it on her left shoulder. There were some small pieces of hair around the hairline, which looked shaggy. She was wearing a floral vest. Her shoulders were thin and straight, while her collarbone was delicate. Her hands rested on the back of the chair, and her chin rested on it. Under the white shorts, her legs are straight, white, long, and casually lazy.

Her beautiful eyes swept across the theatre entrance, like a cat nestled behind the chair, waiting for the owner who would surely take her home.

When her eyes flicked across the crowd again, her gaze did not move, and she froze on a thin and tall figure. Her eyes lit up like a puppy saw a bone, got up from the chair, and ran over.

“You are here.” After crossing the crowd, Mu Wan ran to Liu Qianxiu’s side. She looked up at him, her eyes shining with stars.

“Yeah.” Liu Qianxiu looked down at her and apologetically said: “I’m late.”

“It’s not too late.” Mu Wan shook her head. She laughed and said, “My role will not come out until later. Let’s go inside.”

The two entered the theatre. Mu Wan chose a spot in the middle of the back row with a broad view. After she sat down, she took a look at Liu Qianxiu. He put his eyes on the screen and was already looking at the movie.

The City of Prayer is a modern romantic comedy. Mu Wan plays the male lead’s first love in high school, a white lotus. When the relationship between the male and female leads is heated, the male lead will remember her and have her part simultaneously.

After reading the script, Mu Wan had a general idea of the plot. A good director can make it a lot more attractive than the script, but the director of this film is average, so he could only tell a good story.

Mu Wan looked at the movie for a while, then looked back at Liu Qianxiu.

The screen changed, light and shadow flickered, and the man sat next to her, leaning back on the back of his chair, his eyes closed tightly. The screen light made his silhouette extremely deep, and Mu Wan saw a trace of fatigue from the middle of his brow bones.

Mu Wan’s heartbeat calmed down as she bit the popcorn slowly.

He fell asleep.

In the morning, he said there would be an operation in the evening, and he might come a little late. At the theatre entrance just now, Mu Wan was only happy that he had come and did not observe carefully. He should be so tired, but she didn’t notice it. When she thought of this, Mu Wan frowned slightly.

The screen suddenly lights up, and the audience lets out a low exclamation in unison.

Liu Qianxiu opened his eyes.

He raised his eyes and looked at the screen. On the screen, a woman in a white dress stood under the cherry tree, smiling cleanly and beautifully.

The scent of popcorn spread in her mouth. Mu Wan looked at Li Qianxiu’s well-defined side face and asked softly, “Why are you awake?”

Liu Qianxiu looked back at her. She held a large bucket of popcorn in her arms, leaning on the back of the chair and looking up at him. The light of the theatre screen gradually dimmed, and the black shadow enveloped her facial features like a layer of the black veil.

“Yeah.” Liu Qianxiu replied lightly, then looked back at Mu Wan on the screen and said, “Wake up to see you.”

The author has something to say:
Liu Daochang: I came here just to see you.

Incurable Chapter 24 Part 1

The woman in her arms did not answer. With the sound of rain, her breathing became longer and evener, and she seemed to fall asleep again. Liu Qianxiu looked down at her. He opened the second bedroom door and put her on the bed.

No one has lived in the second bedroom, but everything is always complete and clean. Liu Qianxiu turned on the night light at the head of the bed and turned to leave. The moment the door closed, the faint glow in the living room was shut out, and the woman on the bed opened her eyes.

She listened carefully to the footsteps outside the door, and when she heard the sound of another door closing, she closed her eyes, holding the thin quilt. Gradually, she curled up and finally kicked her legs hard.

When she had finished, she let go of her grip and lay on the bed in an open shape, breathing heavily.

Liu Qianxiu hugged her princess. He agreed to let her live in his house and said she could do whatever she wanted. Most importantly, she could see him tomorrow morning!

Mu Wan was a little excited. She rolled back and forth twice while holding the quilt and chuckling. The sound of rain outside the French windows was full of joy that she couldn’t hide.

Mu Wan didn’t know when she was asleep last night, but it must be late. When she was woken up by Li Nan’s phone in the morning, she was a little angry.

She opened her eyes, sat up from the bed, and took three seconds to reflect on where she was, and her ire disappeared when she got up.

“Hello, my lord.” Looking at the time, it was less than seven o’clock.

Li Nan is an agent. He usually follows Mi Yu to the production team, and his schedule is also quite unstable. Sometimes, when Mi Yu works all night, he has to work and follow Mi Yu all night.

“The City of Prayer premiered at 7 o’clock this evening. You go there and stand down.” Li Nan arranged.

Mu Wan is a professional supporting role player, and this station affair is rarely arranged for her. Generally, Li Nan will let her go through the scene when Mi Yu doesn’t have time. The supporting role stood there for a while, but the host couldn’t ask her any questions. After the end, you can watch the premiere in the movie theatre.

She likes attending the premiere because she can watch a free movie. But Mu Wan couldn’t go there today, because she had a scene to be filmed tonight. Although Li Nan’s work focused on Mi Yu, he would not forget this schedule.

“I’m going to shoot on the set at seven o’clock. The Wind and Snow.” Mu Wan reminded him.

“Ah.” Li Nan replied, “I was about to tell you this schedule has been cancelled.”

She has not played an important role, and the scenes will likely be deleted until none are left, so the cancellation is reasonable. As soon as Li Nan finished speaking, Mu Wan remembered what Mother Wu had asked her yesterday. She narrowed her eyes, looked down at the small daisy embroidery on the quilt, and asked, “What about my schedule tomorrow?”

“The schedule tomorrow is normal.” Mu Wan has never been ambitious, so she rarely asks such meticulous questions. Then Li Nan added a sentence, “There is no big problem with the cuts by the screenwriter.”

“I see.” Mu Wan was relieved and smiled, “Thank you, Sir.”

After hanging up the phone, Mu Wan also woke up completely. She leaned on the bed and looked towards the French windows. The curtains in front of the windows were closed, leaving only a slight gap, letting in a beam of light, not knowing whether the weather was cloudy or sunny outside.

She exited the bed, went barefoot to the French window, and opened the curtains. As soon as the curtains opened, the morning sun filled the room midsummer and lit up people’s moods.

Mu Wan stretched her body, put on slippers, and went to wash up. Liu Qianxiu took her in for the night last night. Thus, she had to go to bed and get up early so as not to cause him trouble.

After washing, Mu Wan opened the door and walked out.

The living room is quiet, with a faint fragrance of agarwood wafting. The scent can calm the brain and the mind. Liu Qianxiu’s bedroom door was closed tightly, and Mu Wan wondered if he had already gotten up. While thinking about it, Mu Wan heard several meows from the cat room.

After Mu Wan’s eyes turned, she walked towards the cat room. Sitting at the door of the cat room, Zhou Yi. Seeing her coming, it raised its paw and licked it. Mu Wan looked up into the cat room, her eyelashes trembling slightly.

Liu Qianxiu has already got up. He was sitting on the carpet in the cat room, holding a bottle and feeding the three little ones. There was only one milk bottle among the three cats, and Liu Qianxiu bottle-fed them in sequence. The three small heads moved back and forth in unison toward the bottle in his hand.

The cat room curtains are wide open, the sun is pouring down, and the kitten’s body is soft and fluffy, shining transparently in the sun. The man was wearing a long shirt and trousers, sitting cross-legged on the carpet, with well-knotted fingers holding the baby bottle about to bottom out. The sunlight penetrated the fingers and revealed a thin layer of light.

Mu Wan stood at the door, and Liu Qianxiu quickly noticed her. He looked sideways. His brows were light, and the warmth and tenderness remained in his eyes.

Mu Wan’s heartbeat accelerated steadily.

“Good morning.” Mu Wan retracted her mind and looked down at the carpet. Her earlobes were hot. She walked over, sat beside Liu Qianxiu, and said, “You got up so early.”

“They are hungry.” Liu Qianxiu Looked down at the cat and replied in a deep voice.

It’s hard to raise a kitten because the kitten’s life is fragile, and it also takes a lot of effort to feed the kitten every few hours. The three kittens can only grow up like this now, and she can’t do it without Liu Qianxiu’s thoughts.

Thinking of this, Mu Wan remembered Li Nan’s phone call in the morning. She looked up at Liu Qianxiu and said, “Liu Qianxiu, I invite you to watch a movie.”

Liu Qianxiu raised his eyes to look up at Mu Wan. She laughed, put her hands behind her, looked at the three little ones, and said, “The movie I acted in as a supporting role will premiere today. I will attend the premiere and invite you to see it at the movie theatre.”

She kept looking at Liu Qianxiu while she was speaking. Her little face was full of hope, and her eyes were bright.

Liu Qianxiu retracted his gaze and asked, “What time?”

“At half-past seven in the evening.” Mu Wan felt she had made more than half of the success and hurriedly replied. She didn’t know much about Liu Qianxiu, so Liu Qianxiu also didn’t know much about her. Today’s movie is about two people alone, letting Liu Qianxiu know more about her and letting him understand her better. Speaking of it, he doesn’t need to understand her much. She is just a minor actress with no father and no mother. It is estimated that Liu Qianxiu can guess it all the time.

“I have an operation at night.” Liu Qianxiu’s voice was calm, “It might be late.”

“It’s okay. You don’t have to be in a hurry. You just come, and I’ll wait for you.” Knowing that Liu Qianxiu had agreed. She laughed and looked down at the cat.

“I’ll do it. The kittens already grow up so big, but I never fed them breakfast yet.” Mu Wan lifted her hands from the carpet and reached out the bottle before Liu Qianxiu. She sat up straight and set her posture very well.

A third of the milk is still left in the bottle so she can feed them. Liu Qianxiu did not refuse and handed her the milk bottle. Mu Wan took the bottle to lure the three little ones, but the three little ones didn’t follow the bottle at all. They raised their heads and shouted at Liu Qianxiu.

She often came to see them and was very close to her. But when she was with Liu Qianxiu, the three little ones were closer to Liu Qianxiu than her.

Eventually, Liu Qianxiu grabbed the three little ones and put them in her arms.

When Mu Wan took the bottle to soothe, the little kitten stopped crying. Mu Wan’s fingers poked the ears of Zhongfen, which were fluffy on the fingertips and remarkably comfortable. She raised her head to look at Liu Qianxiu, who stood up and joked: “They love you so much now. When they grow up, I will take them away. What if they can’t live without you?”

After Mu Wan finished speaking, she asked again, pointed to herself, and said: “They can’t do without you, so can I stay with them?”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 310

~ THERE’S A LOT OF TROUBLE ~

“What did you say?” The Old Madam sat up straight in bed. “Everything is fine. Nothing happened. How could it ruin the reputation?”

“No one knew whether it was a coincidence or not, but yesterday, a high platform had been built in front of Huan Cai Pavillion. A dancer was flying in the air on the platform, which attracted countless people’s attention. Later, the dancer disappeared, and the men in the Capital rushed to inquire about her whereabouts. Some scholars had many things to do with her. They drew a beautiful picture of the dancer, her dancing posture and manner...like the Eldest Miss.”

The Old Madam’s heart skipped a beat as a sharp glint flashed across her eyes. “How can there be so many coincidences in this world? How are the rumors spreading now?”

Wen Mama’s expression became even more unsightly. “Originally, the Eldest Madam had someone take action, wanting to spread Eldest Miss’s reputation even further, but who would have thought that this would happen? That dancer was called the Moon Fairy of the Moon Palace by the bystanders, and the reputation that Eldest Miss spread was Moon Worshipping Fairy…As a result, the rumors and spreading were a bit confused. Many people said that the dancer who danced on the high platform of the Huan Cai Pavilion that day...was the Eldest Miss...”

“Nonsense! Yuyi is the legitimate daughter of the Su family residence. How could she appear in a place as unclean as Huan Cai Pavilion? “

“Don’t be angry, Madam. We understand that, but some ignorant commoners are only interested in watching the show. Why would they bother thinking about whether it’s reasonable or not? At the moment, we should first stabilize the rumors. No matter what, Eldest Miss’s reputation is more important. “

“Quick, call Meng Yunxiang over!”

“Yes.”

The Eldest Madam had just led out the Mudan Pavilion, and the stage was bustling with noise and excitement. When she saw Wen Mama walk over with a solemn expression on her face, she couldn’t help but frown. “Why isn’t Wen Mama staying by mother’s side?”

“Return to the Eldest Madam. The Old Madam would like you to come over.”

“But what’s the urgent matter with Mother?”

Wen Mama nodded slightly. “Eldest Madam will know once she gets there.”

The Eldest Madam’s eyes became serious as she felt a bad premonition in her heart. She turned around and instructed Su Yuyi, “Mother is going to visit the Old Madam. You can continue listening to the play here.”

Wen Mama raised her eyes. “This play has been noisy for the entire morning. Why don’t we rest here?”

The Eldest Madam’s heart skipped a beat. She didn’t bother to talk to Su Yuyi anymore and quickly walked to the Old Madam’s Ning He Garden.

As soon as the door curtain was lifted, the Old Madam slammed a teacup over and almost hit the Eldest Madam’s feet. “Look at what you’ve done!”

The Eldest Madam quickly walked in and curtsied, “Mother, what have I done that makes you unhappy? How can you be so angry for no reason at all? If your daughter-in-law isn’t considerate, please do not hesitate to punish her. Don’t lose your body just because of this.”

The Old Madam’s heart filled with anger, but she did not hold back when she said it, “I passed the Su family to you, and for you to personally train Yuyi, it was all for the sake of making Yuyi even more promising, but who would have known that you would almost destroy her!”

The Eldest Madam’s heart skipped a beat as she hurriedly raised her head: “Mother, where did this come? Yuyi is my biological daughter. I held her in my palm and held her in my mouth. If that’s not enough, how could I destroy her?”

“Wen Mama, tell her the rumors in the Capital.”

“Yes, Madam. Today, many people are searching for the Moon Fairy from the Moon Palace in the Capital for nothing … “ Wen Mama quickly recounted what had happened today. Halfway through her words, the Eldest Madam’s face had already turned deathly pale. By the time she had finished listening, her back was thoroughly drenched in a cold sweat.

“How could this be? Where did this Moon Fairy of the Moon Palace come? What’s up with the Huan Cai Pavilion?” A girl’s reputation was the most important thing. Even if she wanted to make a name for herself, she still had to be extremely careful. She was afraid that she might lose control of the situation. She had planned to help Su Yuyi spread her fame for a long time, just waiting to make her a blockbuster today, but who would have thought that a Moon Fairy of the Moon Palace was born halfway through, and she was born in a lowly place like Huan Cai Pavilion!

In this way, even if she could explain everything clearly, she still couldn’t escape being a laughingstock in the Capital. She had spent a lot of energy and time making Su Yuyi even more famous, even secretly used many people’s money. Now, she wants to collect it, returning it is not something that can be done in a moment...

Thinking of this, the Eldest Madam could only feel a buzzing in her head and a splitting headache. “Mother, please help me control the situation. We can’t let Yuyi’s reputation be ruined like this!”

The Old Madam took a deep breath. “Does this mean you can control this matter just because you want to? We didn’t notice it earlier, but now we realize it, the news has spread far and wide…”

“We can’t just let it go just like that … Mother. You also hold Yuyi in high regard. She is the legitimate daughter of the Su Family. If her reputation and future are ruined, it would be very disadvantageous to You’er, Yaxian, and the rest in the future. It is related to our Su family’s face, and we must find a way to save it anyway.”

The Old Madam thought for a moment and suddenly opened her eyes, “Our Su family can’t come forward on this matter. The more the water gets washed, the dirtier the ink, the darker the ink, the more anxious we are, and the easier it is to make things worse. We might as well ignore it.”

“But if we don’t explain, what should we do if the people outside continue misunderstanding Yuyi?”

“Aren’t those people in the Capital trying to find the Moon Fairy from the Moon Palace? Then find a Moon Fairy for them. As long as they can find someone to confirm that it’s not Yuyi, the rumors would definitely be shattered.”

After the Eldest Madam heard this, she nodded her head and said, “That’s right, Mother has thought it through.” As long as they could find the real Moon Fairy from the Moon Palace, those people would naturally not place their gazes on Su Yuyi. However, by doing so, most of their plans to spread their reputation would be ruined, and it would still have an impact on Yu Yi, which really made her feel resentful.

The Old Madam could see the unhappiness in the first wife’s heart. She couldn’t help but remind her, “Right now, the most important thing for you is to get Yuyi out first. As for that reputation, you can slowly think of a plan later.”

The Eldest Madam quickly retracted her thoughts. “Yes, Mother, please be at ease. Your daughter-in-law knows what to do.”

“That would be the best.”

As soon as she stepped out of Ning He Garden, the Eldest Madam was anxious to arrange her instructions. Suddenly, she saw Qi Mama rushing over in a panic. The Eldest Madam, who was already in a bad mood, could not help but add a little more anger: “What’s the matter. Is it burning?”

It was so rare for the Eldest Madam to have such a vile tone and act. Usually, she was so merciful and generous that when she suddenly saw her expression, Qi Mama was so shocked that she immediately kneeled down. “Reporting to Eldest Madam, there’s a commotion at the door saying that Wang Mama and Liu Mama have died …”

“What did you say? What do we have to do with who Wang and Liu are and whether they will die or not? “

“Madam, Old Wang Mama, and Old Liu Mama were the people who had been ordered to beat up Miss Mu at Small Lu Yi Pavilion before. Afterward, they were ordered by Miss Mu to punish them, and they were chased out of the Su family residence.”

The Eldest Madam stared at her with wide eyes. “Those two … Afterwards, even when we punished them, we only lightly hit them ten times. Several days have passed since then, and why only now have there been any problems?”

“The ones causing trouble were the two women’s families. They were kneeling at the door and crying. They didn’t say how the two of them died. They only said that their families were poor and that they didn’t have any money to spend. They come here...”

“The one who ordered us to beat up those two women was Mu Yunyao. Now that there are people killed, she should naturally come forward and explain everything. Go to the Jiyue Pavilion and tell Su Qing and Yunyao that the trouble they’ve caused will be taken care of by them.” The Eldest Madam raised her eyebrows. The matter with Su Yuyi had already made her anxious. Now that she heard that someone had come to cause more trouble. Her anger isn’t even better. After that, she leaves directly.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 309

~ FAMOUS OVERNIGHT ~

Su You glanced at Mu Yunyao, then turned her head to look at the stage, a hint of a smile flashing across her eyes. She knew that she had a bad temper and wanted to get angry at every moment. Even the servants who served her often said in secret that she had a bad temperament. As a result, she rarely interacted with her sisters in residence.

In fact, it wasn’t that she hadn’t tried to get on good terms with them, but every time she came close, the crowd would avoid her as long as she came close, afraid that she would suddenly become sick and stick to them. Once or twice it would be fine, but every time she would look like this, isn’t she make herself boring?

At this time, in the Capital, after a night of fermentation, the reputation of the Moon Fairy from the Moon Palace suddenly swept in, and the threshold of Huan Cai Pavilion was almost broken. However, no matter how many people looked for it, they could not find the dancing girl on the high platform that day.

Just as everyone was looking in vain, a piece of news suddenly exploded.

The first to spread was a few lines of poems: “Falling back to the light of snow, Yanran sent the wandering dragons into a state of shock. Little hands droop after the willows are powerless, slanting the train when the clouds wish for life.”

These lines of poems were clearly taken out from the entire poem. With just a few lines, the dancer’s beautiful posture is vividly described, made people feel that the meaning is not yet complete.

The people who were fortunate enough to see a grand dance on the high platform in front of the Huan Cai Pavilion yesterday immediately felt their hearts light up. Wasn’t this the Moon Fairy from the Moon Palace?

Many of the scholars immediately recalled the scene from yesterday, and they began to draw a few lines of the poem. For a time, the reputation of the Moon Fairy spread more and more widely.

In the East District, the Eldest Madam heard the servant’s report and smiled in satisfaction, “Yuyi, after today, your name will be known to all the people.”

She was enjoying the feeling of being the center of attention yesterday. She even faintly felt that heaven gave her such a peerless appearance in order to make her stand in a position that was nobler than anyone else: “I still have to thank Mother for all the hard work she’s been planning. Otherwise Daughter’s reputation wouldn’t have been able to spread widely.”

“You are Mother’s only daughter. If I don’t think for you, who else can I think for?” The Eldest Madam helped Su Yuyi personally insert the osmanthus and tourmaline jade hairpin that the Grand Princess Yi De gave her yesterday. She nodded in satisfaction and said, “Let’s go. The stage should be ready by now. It’s a good day today.”

“Yes.”

Mu Yunyao didn’t really like to listen to plays, and Su You was even more so. The two of them sat a little distance away and chatted softly.

“I heard Mother say that Elder Sister received a pretty name for herself, that of Moon Worshiping Fairy, right?”

Mu Yunyao pinched a piece of white jade cake on her plate and slightly nodded when she heard this. “That’s right. Elder Sister danced a song of worshipping the moon. Her dancing style is really moving.”

Su You looked at Mu Yunyao: “Mother helped me pick out a few rearing mamas for me, but my body is too weak to learn those rules, putting them in front of my eyes makes me feel uncomfortable, how about you help me keep them for a few days?”

Mu Yunyao put down the pastries and looked at Su You, smiling as she shook her head. She knew Su You had good intentions. Someone who could be a rearing mama and be invited to the Su family was definitely not an ordinary person. She might teach her how to dance, but she had no intention of competing against Su Yuyi in this aspect.

Su You angrily glared at her. In the end, she didn’t force her. Moreover, no matter how beautiful her dancing posture was, if she didn’t have the appearance of Elder Sister Yuyi, she will only be mocked.

After listening to the play for half a day, Mu Yunyao felt that it was meaningless. She waited for the Old Madam to get tired, and after taking a nap, she found an excuse to return to Jiyue Pavilion with Su Qing.

Si Shu entered the door and came in to report. “Miss, the news has already spread, and many people are looking for the Moon Fairy from the Moon Palace.”

Mu Yunyao nodded her head, “Let go of those paintings you prepared earlier. Eldest Aunt wants to use my reputation to make Su Yuyi even stronger, so we might give her a push as well. Where’s Ming Yin? Did she leave?”

“Miss Ming Yin has left and returned to Jingling City. People are guarding her on the way, so there will be no mistakes.”

“Well, Ming Yin martial art’s skill is not weak. I’m not worried about that. I only want to thank her for coming all the way here.” The one who danced in front of Huan Cai Pavilion last night was Ming Yin. She had learned the art of assassination since a child and had a great martial art foundation, and even learned to worship the moon. When she was still in Jingling City, she arranged for her to practice merely to add to the obstacles for Su Yuyi today.

“Miss Ming Yin even asked this servant to pass the message. She said that she was happy to be of help and that it was inconvenient this time, and she was very sorry for not being able to meet the lady in person.”

Mu Yunyao’s smile deepened. “I’ve only been in the Capital for a short while, and I already miss Jingling City so much … In the future, there will definitely be a chance. Go back and busy yourself, and always be more vigilant. Don’t let the rumors in the Capital change in the slightest.”

“Yes.”

In the Capital, everyone was desperately searching for the Moon Fairy but to no avail. Suddenly, someone discovered twelve Moon Palace beauty paintings on the market. These twelve paintings were vivid and lifelike. It was as if the woman in the painting was able to walk out of the paper. The moment it appeared, it attracted countless people’s attention, and many people are rushing to copy it.

Just as everyone was about to be disappointed, a piece of news suddenly came over: The Moon Fairy is Su Yuyi!

Many people did not know Su Yuyi’s name. After all, the people on the outside usually called her the legitimate daughter of the Su family. Now that they reported her name, many people were confused. However, it was quickly known to everyone that Su Yuyi was the cousin of the famous Mu Yunyao and the legitimate daughter of the Su family.

Mu Yunyao was currently in the limelight. Coupled with the Cinnabar Osmanthus that had been sent ashore during the Mid-Autumn Festival, everyone suddenly understood when they talked about her. Who knew how many people were envious of the Su Family’s good fortune. They initially thought it would already be quite rare for the Su family to have one Mu Yunyao. Although it was only Miss Bia, since his father had passed away, she could only rely on the Su family. This reputation could also bring glory to the Su family.

Who would have thought that the young miss of the Su family would be even more shocking! That beauty, that figure, and so on.

Thinking of this, many people felt that something was wrong. Su Yuyi was the young miss of the Su family residence. The high rank of her family frightens most people. How could such a young miss appear and openly dance on the stage in front of Huan Cai Pavilion?

Some people did not believe the rumors, but even more, people did not care whether it was reasonable or not. Moreover, the Moon Fairy implicating the official young miss made them even more excited.

The Eldest Madam and Su Yuyi had no idea that the Capital’s rumor had changed their flavor completely.

In the afternoon, the Old Madam had just gotten up when she saw Wen Mama walking in quickly with a slightly embarrassed expression. “Madam, something has happened.”

Seeing Wen Mama’s expression, the Old Madam’s heart tightened. “What happened?” Wen Mama had always been calm. Something that could make her act this way was definitely a big event.

“There was a message from outside saying that the young miss’ reputation had been ruined.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 308

~ THE BIG SHOW KICKS OFF ~

The Old Madam shook her head. “In terms of official battles, you’re the best. Mother naturally won’t worry about it, but in terms of private affairs, your wife is the best at it.”

“Meng Yunxiang?”

“That’s right. Seeing Mu Yunyao humiliating the Meng family some time ago and stealing Yuyi’s limelight twice in succession, I guess your wife is holding a grudge. If you give her a few pointers from the side, she will naturally take care of this hidden danger. You only need to sit on the sidelines and sweep your tail at an appropriate time.”

“Yes.”

“You have to be more careful with the Meng family. After all, Mu Yunyao entered the emperor’s eyes, and behind her are Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo. Just with these two businesses alone are making a lot of money every day. If you make good use of them...”

Su Wenyuan’s eyes fiercely moved. “According to Mother’s plan, don’t tell me that you wanted to …”

The Old Madam put the Buddhist beads in her hand aside: “The Spring Embroidery Workshop has collapsed. At that time, I couldn’t keep fighting for survival due to the circumstances, and I still feel a dull ache when I think about it. However, if I lose the Spring Embroidery Workshop, get Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo as an addition, this business will not be a loss.”

“Mother, don’t worry. Your Son knows what to do now.”

“Mm, Wenyuan, you must not interfere with the things that Mother said before. In case …” The Old Madam Sun took a deep breath as if she didn’t want such a scene to occur to her. She paused for a while before continuing, “If Mu Yunyao is lucky and she manages to escape, as long as it can’t involve you, our Su family wouldn’t hurt ...”

Su Wenyuan was taken aback for a moment and seemed to hesitate. “But Mother, Meng Yunxiang followed me for many years and gave birth to two children, Qingwu and Yuyi...”

“I know you value relationships. But is relationships matter more, or is the future more important?” The Old Madam frowned. Her expression did not look as broad as usual, but it was instead particularly harsh and sharp. “Besides, the Meng family looks like the sun in the sky, but the younger generations below are not worth it. How long can Grand Preceptor Meng hold on with just his face alone?”

“Although there aren’t many prodigies in the Meng family’s younger generation, at least there is still has Imperial Concubine De in the Palace…”

The Old Madam’s eyes were dark. “A concubine without children, what do you expect her to become? Moreover, even if she was pregnant and gave birth now, would she be able to hold on until the child grew up? You know, if it weren’t for the things that the previous Empress had done, the princes didn’t even have the chance to fight for the throne. Forget it, let’s not talk about the old days. You only need to remember that the opportunity now is notably rare, so you cannot miss it.”

“Mother is right.” Su Wenyuan nodded his head. If it weren’t for the fact that the previous Empress had killed so many princes, the Third Prince wouldn’t be in the court. After all, there were many astounding talents among the sons killed by the previous Empress.

The Old Madam nodded her head, and her expression softened, “Then it’s settled, and now it’s just an analogy. With the Meng family’s methods, it won’t be a problem to deal with Mu Yunyao and Su Qing.

Your wife has been in charge of the household for years, and she is not an easy person to get along with in residence. If something did happen, it was better to compensate the Meng family.”

“... Yes, this Son understands.” Su Wenyuan pondered for a moment, then nodded his head and agreed.

“Alright,” The Old Madam nodded her head in satisfaction. Her eyebrows relaxed, and she returned to her usual gentle and amicable manner, “At the Palace Banquet yesterday, Yuyi performed well. Thinking about it, it won’t be long before her reputation spreads out. As a father, you have to help a lot. Other places may not be able to catch up. But in the Capital, you as the Minister of the Ministry of Public Affairs are still quite useful.”

“Mother, don’t worry. Yuyi is my own daughter, and now she is in such a magnificent situation. I will definitely help her plan a good future.”

“Yes.”

Yue Chun Garden is a special place for the Su family to enjoy themselves. A stage had been set up in the garden, and the corridors and pavilions built around it were all convenient for everyone to sit down and watch.

Mu Yunyao accompanied Su Qing over, and just as she sat down, she felt someone’s gaze falling on her. She raised her eyes to look over and saw Su You’s cold face with a very arrogant look, “Mother, please sit here for a moment. I’ll go and say hello to Elder Sister Su You.”

Su Qing nodded, “Go.”

Previously, Mu Yunyao had said that if the Second Madam trusted her and wanted to join hands with her, she would carefully think about it when she returned. The second house’s position in the Su family was also a bit awkward right now. Not only Su Zhiyuan’s official position is far less than Su Wenyuan’s, but the Second Madam can’t get involved in the affairs of the Su family.

Although the second house was maintained pretty well because of the Old Madam’s checks and balances, now Su Qingwu and Su Yuyi had grown up, wouldn’t the Old Madam be biased again?

Once the Old Madam started to take sides, the second house would definitely be oppressed by the Eldest Madam. Furthermore, the Second Madam didn’t have any sons, and their only daughter was sickly, which makes her situation even more difficult. If the second house really wanted to, they could help each other out.

“Elder Sister Su You, you look pretty good today.” Mu Yunyao walked over to Su You’s side and looked at her with a smile.

Su You felt a bit stuffy: “Why don’t you wait for the play? Why do you come to me? Although Grandmother has always treated others with kindness, you walk around like this, it will inevitably make people feel unruly.”

“Although this place is called ‘Grandmother’s house’ and is not as free as my home, Grandmother loves me dearly. I walk around a little, and I don’t think that she would blame me for this. I saw that Elder Sister Su You’s clothes were so beautiful today, so I intentionally went closer to admire her.”

Su You’s face turned slightly red. Initially, she thought that after experiencing the banquet, Mu Yunyao would ignore her. But she didn’t expect that Mu Yunyao would take the initiative to come over to greet her. Moreover, it was as if she didn’t care about her rudeness from that day: “I … Then you can sit down. I’ve got some new fruits that I can’t eat. I’ll send them to Jiyue Pavilion later. “

“Alright, then I’ll help Elder Sister Su You to eat more.”

“You … That’s all you can do to help.”

Seeing Su You’s extremely awkward expression, Mu Yunyao couldn’t help but flash a smile in her heart. When her eyes noticed the teacup beside her, she couldn’t help but lightly remind her, “Your body is weak, so it’s not suitable for you to drink Liu’an Tea. I’ve brought some flower and fruit tea from Jingling City, and the taste is pretty good. How about Elder Sister also help me drink some?”

Su You felt a little uncomfortable. Facing the current Mu Yunyao, she had the feeling that she was the only one being indulged by her own little sister. “Aren’t you afraid that there will be people making trouble for you?”

Mu Yunyao chuckled, “If I were an ordinary person, I wouldn’t dare to give it to anyone else, but if I give it to Elder Sister Su You, there shouldn’t be that many problems, right?”

Su You harrumphed, “It’s necessary to be defensive. You can rest assured of me, but I can’t rest assured of you. Wait until you send the tea over, and I’ll immediately get a few doctors to help me check it out. If there’s no problem, then I’ll taste it.”

“Alright, Elder Sister can do as you see fit.” Mu Yunyao did not care. She understood that the reason why Su You was doing this. It was not because she suspected that there was something wrong with her flower and fruit tea. But she wanted to use this to resolve the hidden danger behind it. After all, Su You is in poor health. It can’t be said that any slight disturbance will make her sick. After such an examination, it will eliminate the possibility of others framing her.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 307

~ MU YUNYAO WITH INCOMPARABLE REASON ~

After returning to her room, Mu Yunyao let out a heavy sigh of relief.

The Snow Fox appeared out of nowhere and coiled around her legs, acting cute. “Zhizhi …”

Mu Yunyao lowered her eyes and glanced at it, then disdainfully covered its head with the cloak.

The Snow Fox hurriedly struggled in the cloak and finally got out of the gap next to her. The Snow Fox fluttering its little ears vigorously, and the fur on its head became messy. The Snow Fox raised its head and looked at Mu Yunyao dumbfounded, then continued to circle her around.

Mu Yunyao looked at it for a long time. Finally, she bent down and picked up the Snow Fox, gently smoothing the fur on its head.

The Snow Fox comfortably squinted its eyes, sweeping its tail across Mu Yunyao’s arm, looking extremely satisfied.

Mu Yunyao ignored the cloak thrown to the ground and leaned against the bed with the Snow Fox in her arms.

The Snow Fox seemed to be somewhat puzzled, trampling over the brocade blanket, not understanding why its master was still not sleeping.

Mu Yunyao looked at the Snow Fox. After a long while, she suddenly raised her hand and placed it on her chest. Although she was forced to follow Jin Wang in her previous life due to helplessness, she had seen many people hurt by love, especially that Poisonous Lady, who had taught her medical skills. That woman gave up her family for the beloved man, turned her back on her teacher, and even ruined her appearance and became totally unrecognizable for that person in the end ...

She could not understand why someone would become lost for the sake of what was called love, nor could she comprehend their paranoia. In her rebirth, she only wanted to live a peaceful life with her mother and did not want to involve in any feeling of love. However, if the heart could be controlled freely by her, then nothing unexpected would happen in this world.

Today, she had clearly realized: Yue Wang occupies an unusual position in her heart...

Otherwise, seeing him just now wouldn’t have disturbed her mind and made her feel at a loss.

After her rebirth, she had thought for a long time and made a lot of plans. It could be said that she had already thought about how she should go about doing every single step from now on, but she had never expected that Yue Wang would suddenly appear in her life. If that was the case, shouldn’t she think of ways to eliminate him …

When the Snow Fox saw Mu Yunyao ignore it, it quietly climbed onto her shoulder and rubbed its head against her cheek. The warmth on her cheek suddenly broke her train of thoughts. Her originally indecisive mind gradually turned into a pile of foam.

Mu Yunyao turned her head and carried the Snow Fox away. She held its two front paws in both hands and let it stand on the brocade blanket. She was a little angry as she asked, “Did Yue Wang specifically send you here to cause trouble?”

The Snow Fox tilted its head and thought that Mu Yunyao was playing with it. It happily moved its legs and swept its fluffy tail back and forth like a dog.

Mu Yunyao laid on the bed and directly pulled the brocade blanket over her. Regardless of whether or not there was an accident regarding Yue Wang, she still had to think of a way to continue walking. Moreover, although Yue Wang was not favored by the Emperor, he was the Fourth Prince of the Dali Dynasty and was also the direct descendant of the previous Empress. After the Emperor became seriously ill, he had to control the defense of the Capital.

Now that he was not favored, no one naturally would think about him. However, after his power will become more and more powerful, there would be many people who would like to recommend themselves as a pillow. Who knew maybe Yue Wang wouldn’t think of herself in the future, so why bother thinking and worrying now?

She had more important things to do, and the great show will officially kick off tomorrow ...

In the East Courtyard, Su Yuyi tossed and turned for a long time, and then she finally fell asleep. Although Mu Yunyao had stolen some limelight today, she still thought that her performance was not bad. Furthermore, the set of imitation osmanthus gem crown that Grand Princess Yi De had given her was the most precious item out of all the other gifts. In addition to her mother’s meticulous arrangement, her reputation would definitely resound throughout the Capital tomorrow and then spread through the entire Dali Dynasty.

As long as she thinks that she has attracted people’s attention and won praise from thousands of people, her heart is full of excitement. The dream she had tonight was expressly sweet. Su Yuyi dreamt of herself wearing a phoenix robe, standing by the side of Jin Wang, who is wearing a dragon robe, being worshipped by hundreds of officials and tens of thousands of citizens. Her voice shook the heavens, resounding through the cloud...

“Miss, it’s time to wake up.”

A maid’s voice sounded beside her ear, abruptly interrupting Su Yuyi’s beautiful dreams. She frowned, looking a little unhappy. “What’s the matter?”

“Miss, the Eldest Madam just sent a message saying that she will be to pay her respects to the Old Madam today, so you should get up earlier.”

“I got it.” Yesterday, during the Mid-Autumn Festival, she had to attend the Palace Banquet, so it was inevitable that she would pay her respects to the Old Madam today.

In Ning He Garden, the old Madam’s place, the Su family were gathered together.

Su Wenyuan and Su Zhiyuan took a rest today and made a rare appearance beside the Old Madam.

The Eldest Madam looked at Su Yuyi with a face full of self-satisfaction and said to Old Madam Sun, “This daughter-in-law can see that Mother is looking good today, and the chrysanthemums in the garden are blooming beautifully. How about we called an opera troupe today, and the residence would be bustling with noise and excitement.”

Su Wenyuan nodded his head: “That’s not a bad suggestion. Yesterday, I had to attend the public banquet, so I unable to stay by Mother’s side. I feel very sorry for myself. Although today’s Mid-Autumn Festival is over, the moon is still full, and the whole family is happy and lively.”

The Old Madam nodded. She knew what had happened at the Palace Banquet last night and was very satisfied with Su Yuyi’s performance. “Alright, it’s been a long time since there was such a commotion in residence. You guys can go and get ready. Wenyuan, you will stay. I have something to discuss with you.”

“Yes, Mother.”

After everyone had left, the smile on the Old Madam’s face dimmed, replaced by a heavy gloominess. “Yesterday, the Emperor and Grand Princess Yi De seemed to value Mu Yunyao a lot?”

Su Wenyuan’s expression was also solemn. “Yes. After all, she caused a lot of commotion in Jingling City. Since the Emperor and Grand Princess Yi De are quite distinct in their rewards and penalties, they will naturally pay more attention to her.”

“Other than me, you are the only one who knows about that matter. As the head of the family, you should have your own plans for what to do.”

“We should have been able to deal with no trouble. But who would have known that Mu Yunyao was seen by the Emperor and even had a solid foundation in Jingling City, and she was heavily supported by the commoners? In this way, we can’t use those secret methods blatantly.” Su Wenyuan clenched his teeth and lightly punched the table with his fist. After a while, he said with regret.

The Old Madam’s eyelids twitched, and the Buddhist beads in her hands moved a little faster. “I originally left a trace of benevolence, but I never thought that I would raise a tiger and cause trouble today. That Su Qing was better, but Mu Yunyao... I always feel that the little girl is weird and tight. She’s just starting out, but she already entered the eyes of the Emperor and the Grand Princess. If we cannot take advantage of this situation and take care of this matter before she matures, then I’m afraid that she will drag down our entire Su Family.”

“Mother, but what exactly is her identity …?”

“Her identity is our Su family’s Young Cousin, and she is also a little girl who came from the countryside. You must firmly remember this! Do you understand now? “ The Old Madam’s eyes fiercely flashed as she spoke with determination.

Su Wenyuan quickly nodded. “Mother, don’t be angry. I understand.”

The Old Madam’s expression softened a little, “Back then, we had to risk our lives to obtain a good future for our Su family. Now that the future of the Su family is filled with good fortune, we definitely will not allow anyone to interfere with our future!”

“Please rest assured, Mother. I will think of a way to settle this matter.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 306

~ ONLY BLAME THE MOONLIGHT FOR BEING SO MOVING ~

A hint of gentleness appeared in his frosty eyes that practically filled with a fatal attraction. Mu Yunyao’s mind went into a trance as she blankly looked down at Yue Wang, who had raised his arms downstairs.

The night was quiet, and the moon was as cool as water.

Mu Yunyao could clearly hear her heart beating faster than usual, which made her feel helpless for the first time. Her fingers, which were placed on the windowsill, gradually tightened as her nails pierced into her palm, allowing her to regain her reason slowly. “Your Highness, why are you here?”

Just now, for the moment, she seemed to see a warm halo behind Yue Wang, giving her the urge to follow his orders and jump straight down. It seemed that as long as she jumped down, he would catch her and then welcome the warmth of the blossoming flower…

Seeing Mu Yunyao come back to her senses, a trace of pity flashed in Yue Wang’s eyes. He slowly lowered his arm and grabbed an osmanthus flower. With a smile, he said, “I’m here to admire the flower.”

Mu Yunyao raised her eyebrows and tried her best to suppress the strangeness in her heart. “Your Highness, could it be that you’re joking? After all, it is the Su family Residence. Aren’t you afraid of causing trouble by coming here to admire the flowers?”

Yue Wang blinked and threw the flower branches in his hand to Mu Yunyao’s side with precision. “But the flower here is the only one.”

Not only he wanted to admire the flowers, but he also wanted to see someone. However, he couldn’t say these words out loud. If he opened his mouth, it was afraid that he would only push Yunyao even further away. He failed once, and he wouldn’t make the same mistake again.

Mu Yunyao lowered her eyes to look at the flower branches beside her. The smile on her lips slightly faded, “Your Highness has already finished appreciating the flowers. It’s time to go back.”

“Yes, it is indeed late. You also need to rest early.”

Mu Yunyao nodded her head. At this time, a voice suddenly came from outside, causing her heart to tighten. She quickly opened the window wider and moved to the side, “Come up quickly, don’t let anyone find out.”

A hint of happiness flashed quickly in Yue Wang’s eyes. He lightly tapped on the tip of his feet and jumped up quickly to the second floor of Jiyue Pavilion. He then stepped on the windowsill as he jumped to Mu Yunyao’s side.

The voices outside seemed to pass by and gradually faded after a few sentences. Mu Yunyao slightly heaved a sigh of relief, but just as she turned her head, she looked into Yue Wang’s smiling eyes. She suddenly felt a wave of numbness flash past her back. She hurriedly took two steps back and leaned against the wall.

The expression in Yue Wang’s eyes became extremely deep for a moment. At this moment, Mu Yunyao had just finished her bath, and her body was still emitting light steam. Her entire body was like a piece of jade that had been placed in the water for a bath, making her appear extremely clean and moist.

She wore a slightly thin dress, and her whole person looked weak and delicate. Under the night sky, she was no longer as calm and distant as she usually was. Instead, she nervously leaned against the wall, a mandarin duck cat who has lost its owner, as she vigilantly surveyed her surroundings, bringing with her a soft, bluffing aura.

“Your Highness, the sound outside is gone. It seems to be …” Mu Yunyao hadn’t even finished speaking when she saw Yue Wang bullying her body and shrouding her in shadow.

Mu Yunyao tightly clenched her fist as if something was pressing down on her chest, causing her to suffocate. Yue Yang stretched out his hand and slowly approached Mu Yunyao, but just as he was about to make contact with her, he bent down and picked up the cloak that fell to the ground. He gently shook it and handed it over, “In the Capital, you can’t compare to Jingling City. After the Mid-Autumn Festival, the sky became cold, especially at night. It’s easy to get caught in the cold if you don’t pay attention. Don’t open your windows at night, and don’t be coy about the cold.”

Mu Yunyao let out a breath of relief. Only when she came back to her senses did she realize that her palm was actually drenched in sweat. “Thank you for your reminder, Your Highness.”

Seeing that Mu Yunyao did not receive the cloak, a trace of helplessness flashed across the eyes of Yue Wang. He resolutely lifted it up and placed it in front of her, “Put it on!”

Mu Yunyao pursed her lips. Looking at the resolute expression on Yue Wang’s face, she extended her hand to grab the cloak and draped it over her shoulders.

Yue Wang nodded his head in satisfaction as his gaze swept across Mu Yunyao’s face. “Have you recovered from your injuries from a few days ago?”

“Thank you for your concern, Your highness Yue Wang. I am fine now.”

“Meng Yanran attacked you. You shouldn’t have just slapped her. In the Capital, the human heart is unpredictable, and the environment is much more complex than the one in Jingling City. Since you have come here, you should be prepared to fall into a deep and scheming trap.”

Mu Yunyao’s fingers, which were holding onto the strap of her cloak, trembled. She did not understand the intention of Yue Wang’s words. The reason why she had punished Meng Yanran in such a manner was to leave a strong impression on the Emperor. Otherwise, when Meng Yanran framed her that day, she would have taken the opportunity to destroy her legs: “After all, the relationship between the Su family and the Meng family is different. It depends on the relationship between them.”

“When you talk about feelings, if you were in a strange place, others might not be able to talk about it. In the turbulent undercurrents of the ocean, sharp reefs are hidden everywhere, so be careful.” He would try his best to protect her, but there was no way for him to do so at all times. Moreover, Yunyao was not an ordinary girl like those other girls. She had her own intelligence and planning. Even if she didn’t rely on anyone, she would still be able to walk down steadily the path of plans and schemes.

“Thank you for your reminder, Your Highness Yue Wang.” Mu Yunyao lowered her eyes as she replied.

Moonlight shone in from the window as Mu Yunyao stood at the edge of the window, her slender and long eyelashes slightly curling up, which makes Yue Wang have the urge to stretch out and touch it with his fingers.

“Even though the Capital is dangerous, it’s a good thing that I’m back. If you have any difficulties, feel free to send someone to find me. I stay in the Yue Palace, and it’s not too far from here.”

Mu Yunyao suddenly raised her eyes. “Your Highness doesn’t intend to return to Western Guangdong?”

“Yeah, I don’t plan on going back for now.”

“But, the Emperor …”

“Don’t worry. I have a plan.” Yue Wang lowered his voice. The clear and cold voice was no longer there. Instead, it had a hint of hoarseness to it, bringing with it a feeling of kindness and gentleness.

Mu Yunyao’s heart suddenly tightened. The bright moonlight shone through the window and reflected into the eyes of Yue Wang as if millions of stars lit up in his eyes. Those stars were all revolving around the image that was reflected in his eyes and was very touching.

Mu Yunyao’s chest tightened. She could feel the abnormal panic in her heart, which made her feel at a loss, “It’s getting late. It’s time for Your Highness Yue Wang to return.”

“I found something.” Yue Wang did not move, but he looked at Mu Yunyao with a smile. After a while, he did not see her ask any further questions and couldn’t help but slightly raise the corners of his lips, “Every time you want to pull away from me, you will always call me Your Highness Yue Wang. I still like it when you call me Fourth Master Ning, or …”

“Your Highness!” Mu Yunyao interrupted Yue Wang’s word. She subconsciously did not want him to finish his words. She had a feeling that the words Yue Wang was about to say would definitely disrupt her peaceful life completely, “When you return to the Capital, you will no longer be the Fourth Master Ning, but His Royal Highness Yue Wang.”

In this place, no one had the right to act willfully again, especially someone like her and Yue Wang, who struggled every step of the way. They’ll lose everything if they are careless. The title of Fourth Master Ning should be deeply buried, and it’s better not to see the sun again.

“I should go now.” Yue Wang picked up the osmanthus flowers from the window sill and carefully tucked them into his sleeves. He then stepped onto the window sill and jumped straight down.

Mu Yunyao’s fingers tightened slightly. She wanted to turn around and leave, but in the end, she couldn’t control herself and stood by the window, looking down at the Cinnabar Osmanthus.

The flowers were red, and the clusters of flowers were like clouds and mist, but the handsome figure beneath the tree was nowhere to be seen.

He was injured when he left Jingling City. Is he fully recovered now…

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 305

~ YUNYAO, JUMP DOWN! ~

As night approaches, there are beautiful flower beds extended to the river’s surface on the Bian River bank near Taoyuan road. Behind the flower beds, the three-story Huan Cai Pavilion standing high.

Huan Cai Pavilion was a famous brothel in the Capital, with high-priced servants and jade-armed pillows for tens of thousands of people. Moreover, there were rumored to be some official ladies who have fallen in the family. I don’t know how many men are attracted to it.

The entire Huan Cai Pavilion is brightly lit. The high platform was built above the water level, and it was about the same height as the second floor of the pavilion. On the third floor of Huan Cai Pavilion, there is an enormous round lantern, which is also painted with the pattern of osmanthus trees. From the front, the lantern looked like a tremendous bright moon, and it hanged low on a high platform.

There were already many people gathered on both sides of the river bank and on the high platform. One by one, they began to speculate about the purpose of building this stage. Just as everyone was getting impatient from waiting, a figure suddenly descended from the sky. She held a ribbon in her hand as she lightly spun it around and landed on the high platform.

There was a sudden cry of exclamation around. The figure slowly descended as if come out of the bright moon, and almost people thought it was a fairy coming.

The lanterns at the back of the high platform were hanging high, making the woman’s figure on the stage appear graceful and elegant. She held a ribbon in her hand and danced in the wind, dancing gracefully like a fairy in the wind.

The souls of the people on both sides of the road were almost sucked out by this figure. They only remembered to cheer loudly for her. The sounds of silk and bamboo became more urgent, and the women on the platform quickly rotated along with it.

If Su Yuyi were here, she would have definitely discovered that this woman’s dance was very similar to hers, except that she was only slightly more charming than hers. These points of the charm made her even more captivating, causing many people to lose their composure.

The sound of the silk bamboo slowed down, the woman on the high platform slowly stopped moving and bowed slowly towards the bright moon lantern on the third floor of Huan Cai Pavilion. She grabbed the silk curtain that hanged on the high platform, then leaped and flew towards the bright moon.

She flew in from the moon and returned to the moon. It was like a fairy from the Moon Palace who came to the mortal world to leave a trail that attracted people’s attention.

“Fairy! That is Fairy Moon Palace!”

“Who is that girl? How come I’ve never seen her perform such a devastatingly beautiful act before?”

Who knew how many people were inquiring about the identity of the dancing girl? The old procuress’s face of Huan Cai Pavilion was full of smiles, but she didn’t mention a single word about the woman’s identity, no matter how much people grinded their lips.

It continued all the way until the moon was in the middle of the sky. There were still many people who lingered on both sides of the high platform, unwilling to leave, waiting to see the beauty of the Moon Fairy again. However, it’s a pity that they are doomed to waste time for nothing.

On this night, countless people were concerned about the fairy from the Moon Palace and dreamt of her. There was even a passionate scholar who drew a picture of the Moon Fairy and made a large sum of money.

Mu Yunyao walked out of the Imperial Palace with her face slightly flushed.

The smell of alcohol in the hall was too strong. Her senses were sharp, and the smell was making her feel uncomfortable. Walking out of the palace and into the carriage, she felt even more disgusted by the shaking, and her expression could not help but look a little sickly.

The Second Madam was a little worried as she asked, “Yunyao, are you alright?”

“I’m fine. It’s just that I have a headache, which made Second Aunt worry.”

“If you feel uncomfortable, then immediately rest after you return to your residence. Don’t overthink about anything.” Although Mu Yunyao had stolen part of the limelight from Su Yuyi, causing the Emperor and Grand Princess Yi De didn’t look up at Su Yuyi in high regard, the influence was still on the two of them. Other officials and descendants of noble families still treated Su Yuyi like a fairy, and she was worried that Mu Yunyao would be affected.

“Alright, I’ll listen to Second Aunt.”

“That’s right.”

After returning to the residence, Jin Lan and Jin Qiao are waiting at the inner gate. When they saw Mu Yunyao, they immediately revealed a happy expression. They first bowed to the Second Madam, and after being called out, they walked over to Mu Yunyao’s side, welcomed her, and said, “Miss, you’ve returned. Madam has been waiting for you.”

“I thought Mother was going to sleep first. It’s already so late. She shouldn’t be feeling well when she gets up tomorrow.” Mu Yunyao felt her heart pained. After bidding farewell to the Second Madam, she hurriedly walked towards Ji Yue Pavilion.

In the room, Su Qing was unable to sit still. When she heard the sound of footsteps, she immediately came out and greeted, “Yao’er, you’re back.”

Mu Yunyao stepped forward and held Su Qing’s hand, “Mother, it’s so late. Why aren’t you asleep yet?”

“Mother is worried about you. How could I sleep?”

Mu Yunyao couldn’t help but throw herself into Su Qing’s embrace, her eyes turning slightly sour. “Mother, I’ve let you worry. I’m fine. The Palace banquet is a big event, and I’m just a minor character who doesn’t have the qualifications to be schemed against at the Palace banquet. Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to me.”

“That’s good.” Su Qing was finally relieved. After she relaxed, she felt a bit more sleepy. Mu Yunyao quickly coaxed her to sleep. She then got up and left Su Qing’s room.

Jin Lan and Jin Qiao stood by the door. “Miss, the water for the baths has been placed in, and the clothes have been placed by the side …”

“Mm, you two can go rest now. It’s getting late. I can do it by myself.”

“Yes, Miss.” Miss had never enjoyed being bathed by others, so they were used to it, but they didn’t insist much.

Mu Yunyao comfortably took a bath, changed into a set of white clothes, and lightly rubbed her forehead.

It was already very late, but she wasn’t sleepy at all. When she thought of the cinnabar osmanthus placed in the courtyard, she couldn’t help but put on her cloak and opened the window.

“Yunyao!”

A voice filled with chilliness rang out. Mu Yunyao slightly widened her eyes as if she had seen an illusion: Yue Wang…

“Yunyao!” The voice sounded again, causing Mu Yunyao to look over with a calm expression. The moonlight was bright and white, and under the moonlight, the cinnabar osmanthus trees looked like a dream. And under the osmanthus trees closest to the window on the second floor, a handsome figure stood there. In the same place, she raised her head slightly. His sharp eyebrows were deep and vast, like a galaxy carrying the horizon, looking straight into her heart.

Yue Wang!

Mu Yunyao unconsciously tightened her fingers. Her heartbeat slightly quickened, and under the moonlight, the coldness around that person dissipated a bit. Looking up at her now, he seemed to have an illusion of gentleness as he lightly called out her name. His voice flowed through her ears and slid into her heart, like a feather falling lightly, causing the peaceful lake in her heart to emit a wave of energy.

Yue Wang’s gaze was focused on Mu Yunyao, his eyes filled with deep determination. After he left Jingling City, his heart slowly calmed down, and there was more time for him to see his thoughts clearly.

He did not regret that impulsive interrogation. It was not only Mu Yunyao who was being interrogated but himself as well. The longing after leaving, the worry after leaving, the joy after meeting each other…

How could he not understand? He had fallen in love with a girl who was much younger than him. But she was as intelligent as a fox and as cunning as a fox.

He slowly raised his arm and faced Mu Yunyao, who seemed to be in a daze, at the window. He softly said, “Yunyao, jump down …”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 304

~ JIN WANG’S TEST ~

Hearing that familiar yet unfamiliar voice, the corner of Mu Yunyao’s lips lifted, but a hint of coldness flashed across her eyes. “The flowers sent by His Royal Highness Jin are so beautiful. I naturally like them very much. It’s on the windowsill in my room, and I watched it every day!”

“Then, Miss Mu, which do you like, that pot of Baiou Zhubo or the Shameless Beauty?”

Mu Yunyao turned her head and looked at Jin Wang with a smile, “Which one does His Royal Highness prefer?”

“I think both of those are pretty good.” Jin Wang’s face was gentle, but his eyes carried deep meaning. His gaze was calm as he looked at Mu Yunyao’s face as if he was examining something.

Mu Yunyao’s smile grew wider. Her eyes were clear and black and white. “I like that pot of Shameless Beauty. As for that pot of Baiou Zhubo, its senses are rather ordinary.”

Jin Wang’s eyes moved slightly. He couldn’t figure out what Mu Yunyao meant. The reason why he had sent the two pots of flowers over was to remind her. He already knew that she was not as simple as she looked on the surface and hoped that she could understand the current affairs and adapt to the overall situation. But now, Mu Yunyao had told him in a flash that the sense pot of Baiou Zhubo is rather ordinary. Is it a sign that she is unwilling to go with the flow, that she is rejecting him?

“I also like that Shameless Beauty. From its appearance, it looks flawless, as if it is so pure and indifferent. But who would have thought that the flawless jade was wrapped in such a dark color?”

Mu Yunyao chuckled, “His Royal Highness Jin, is it better to say that the pure white jade wrapped around a heart that’s about to turn black?”

Jin Wang looked at her coldly, “Miss Mu, do you remember the gift sent to Royal Father on his birthday?”

“Which one did Your Highness say?” Last year, she had embroidered a picture of happiness, longevity, and health. This year, she had presented a picture of five blessings for longevity. If you count the screen of the beautiful landscape that she indirectly sent to the Su family the year before last, there will be three copies.

“I’m talking about that painting of the mountains and rivers...” Jin Wang carefully looked at Mu Yunyao’s expression. He was unwilling to let go of the slightest abnormality.

“River and Mountain Painting?” Mu Yunyao slightly raised her brows with a puzzled expression. “How come I don’t know what the River and Mountain Painting are?”

“Miss Mu is really an honorable person who has forgotten things, but the Spring Embroidery Workshop (Chun Xiu Fang) has been ruined by you.” Jin Wang’s thoughts moved slightly, but Mu Yunyao didn’t panic in the slightest. ‘Could it be that this really had nothing to do with her?’

“I don’t understand what His Royal Highness Jin is saying. I did indeed embroider a landscape painting and sold it to the Spring Embroidery Workshop, but I have no idea where this landscape painting ended up or where it went.” Mu Yunyao didn’t plan on hiding anything. After all, when she embroidered that piece of embroidery, many people in Xiayan village saw it. If they wanted to check it out, they could easily find it out. Even if she hides it, it would be useless. She was sure that no one would know what she was doing.

“You have quite the guts that you actually dare do anything to Royal Father’s birthday present. That is a capital offense!” Jin Wang’s tone suddenly turned stern and rose sharply.

Mu Yunyao chuckled, “I’m a coward. I’ve never seen much of the world before. His Royal Highness, don’t try to scare me. When did I touch the Emperor’s birthday present? The shopkeeper for the Spring Embroidery Workshop shop asked me to embroider all embroidery items, from embroidery cloth to embroidery thread. I am only responsible for making embroidery. What can I do?”

Jin Wang’s gaze looked over to Mu Yunyao, but she didn’t back off in the slightest. Her eyes still filled with smiles, but there wasn’t the slightest trace of panic.

Jin Wang suddenly laughed. “I was merely joking with Miss Mu just now. I hope you don’t mind. We’ve already investigated the matter regarding the embroidery items and found out that it was done by someone from the Spring Embroidery Workshop. Naturally, it has nothing to do with Miss Mu.”

Mu Yunyao patted her chest and looked as if she was relieved. “Then I can relax. After hearing what His Royal Highness Jin said earlier, my heart was about to jump out of my throat.”

Naturally, she doesn’t mind because she was already taken back to the Su family. If she was in trouble now, the Su family could not escape their relationship. Therefore, that beautiful picture of a mountain and river could only be recognized by the Spring Embroidery Workshop. After all, the Spring Workshop Embroidery was already finished, while Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo are still standing behind her. Jin Wang never does business at a loss.

“I’ve heard that Miss Mu is going to open another Ni Yun Fang in the Capital soon. Her business is so good. I’m really envious of you.”

“All I earn is hard-earned money. It’s because I come from a poor background that I can only support myself and my mother through this method.”

“Miss Mu is too modest, as Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo are the only powers in the Dali Dynasty. It’s an unparalleled spectacle. Once the situation has been fully unveiled, it would not be too excessive for you to make profits every day. Otherwise, Miss Mu would not have given a hundred thousand silver taels back to the people of Jingling City.” Jin Wang’s voice was warm and gentle, it sounded like ordinary chatting, but Mu Yunyao could feel a slight pressure from his words.

The Spring Embroidery Workshop was attached to the Su family in the past, but the Su family supported the Third Prince. Therefore, almost all the silver was dedicated to the Third Prince. Now that he no longer had the Spring Embroidery Workshop, just those properties in the Third Prince’s hands were far from enough to satisfy his ambitions.

At the moment, many people viewed the merchants as the worst kind of business, but they don’t look back to think that if they want to develop a career, which one can leave the support of gold and silver? Walking around during the New Year ceremony, nurturing the party members, raising guards, advisors… costs too much, which is why the other princes wanted to interfere in Jiangnan’s salt tax. That was because it was like a limitless pocketbook. If one could control the salt tax in Jiangnan, he could develop his own power without any worries.

Now that Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo had developed like a raging fire, it was no wonder that Jin Wang had spoken such words to test the waters.

“After receiving so many rewards from the Emperor, my heart is forever grateful. In the future, after Bi Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo earn their money, I will take out the majority to give back to the commoners. What does His Royal Highness think of it?”

Mu Yunyao sneered in her heart, “You have thoughts of stealing, but do you dare to fight with the Emperor?” Do you dare to fight with all the people in the world? It was to let you look at the white silver but can’t touch it. Take that taste slowly!

Jin Wang’s eyes twitched as an unfathomable smile appeared on his handsome face: “If that’s the case…it’s also exceedingly good, so I hope that Miss Mu can persevere on. “

“There is no beginning, but there is an end. Since I have already made a good start, I will naturally persevere to the end.” Mu Yunyao’s smile was gentle and graceful, her eyes bright and radiant, as if she was sincerely satisfied with her actions.

“If that’s the case, then I won’t disturb Miss Mu from admiring the flowers. Miss Mu must prepare well for the Autumn Hunting in September.”

Mu Yunyao nodded her head in greeting before respectfully sending Jin Wang off. Then, her gaze landed on Chrysanthemum in the purple flame. “It’s clearly just an ordinary flower, but it just squeezed itself into the middle of a pile of expensive purple flames, which makes it quite unusual.”

Zhang Wan noticed that Jin Wang had left. She had chatted with Zhou Yuyin for a bit before returning to Mu Yunyao’s side. Following her line of sight, she saw a flower bush, “There’s actually one that’s different from the others. I don’t know what its name is. It looks very fresh and elegant.”

“Its name is Aster, a very ordinary kind of chrysanthemum.”

Zhang Wan’s fingertips trembled slightly. Thinking about Mu Yunyao’s situation, she looked at her with some worry, “Little Sister Mu, you don’t have to care about rumors. It’s always been like this in the Capital. The wind never stops no matter what.”

“Thank you, Elder Sister Zhang, for your reminder.”

They looked at each other and smiled, and they seemed to have a tacit understanding.

Mu Yunyao looked in Su Yuyi’s direction. The First Prince was standing beside her as if he was saying something. The scene was very harmonious, and laughter would occasionally resound from her.

Zhang Wan’s eyes filled with admiration. “Yuyi is indeed a heavenly person. When the banquet ends, the reputation of the Moon Worshiping Fairy will resound throughout the Capital.”

Mu Yunyao raised the corner of her lips and gently lowered her eyes, covering the flowing light that flashed by. “That’s right. I’m guessing that Elder Sister Yuyi would be very happy.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 303

~ THE PEOPLE OF JINGLING CITY HAVE DONE WELL ~

Mu Yunyao got up and returned to her seat, still felt a lingering fear. She wanted to play tricks in front of the Emperor and Grand Princess Yi De, making her feel like there was nothing she could hide. Fortunately, she didn’t have any bad intentions and wanted to do some things for the people. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be able to hold it up.

Just at this moment, an internal servant came into the Palace and reported, “Report back to the Emperor, the whole people of Jingling City have sent a gift. It’s already at the gate of the Palace.”

The Emperor paused for a moment before a smile appeared on his face. “Are you saying that the entire city of Jingling City has also given me a gift?”

“Yes, the official in charge of escorting the gift said so.”

“Alright, quickly bring the gift over. I want to have a good look at it.”

Soon, the guards brought up the present from Jingling City. There were two kinds of gifts. The first one is the grains placed in the rising bucket, piled up full, especially the rice ears, looking heavy and yellow, and the appearance is particularly delightful.

The other item was the Myriad Citizens Umbrella. The umbrella’s canopy is enormous, and many silk strips are hanging on the edge, which is carefully signed. Although the appearance is not gorgeous, it had an excellent meaning to it.

A smile flashed in the eyes of the Grand Princess Yi De, and she couldn’t help but stand up to congratulate the Emperor. “The Emperor is benevolent and loves the people. The people are also sincere in giving their blessing back to the Emperor. The people return to their hearts as they struggle with the grain. It’s really enough to be a good talk.”

“Good!” The Emperor got up and walked down from the throne, picked up a rice ear, and carefully measured it in his hand. “I was really moved by the people’s hearts. I will carefully place the Myriad Citizens Umbrella in the Treasure House. These five grains were sent to the kitchen and made into food. I want to taste them myself.”

Everyone in the great hall hurriedly got up and kowtowed. “Your Majesty is benevolent and loves the people, long live, long live, long live!”

“Stand up.” The Emperor was so happy. For the past six months, there had been a lot of things happening in the Imperial Court. There had been a few natural disasters of various sizes. The only exception was Jingling City. Although they finally calmed down, he felt very heavy. During the past year, any news of Jingling city must be good. Today, the people of Jingling City once again sent out a gift because of their gratitude. It’s really made him pleasantly surprised.

Mu Yunyao quietly lowered her eyes as a faint smile flashed in her heart. She didn’t know if this was Li Munian’s idea or Steward Qin had interfered, but it was still a good thing for her. After all, Jingling City is the foundation of Ni Yun Fang. The better the development of Jingling City is, the greater the influence will be. As time passed, Ni Yun Fang became more and more stable.

The Emperor was pleasantly surprised, and he couldn’t help but think of Mu Yunyao. It was said that there was such a change in Jingling City, Mu Yunyao would definitely have exceedingly contributed to it. Before this, he had never thought that someone would have such an extraordinary influence on a city. If he had a few more people like Mu Yunyao, he would definitely be able to save a lot of thought.

“Mu Yunyao?”

Hearing the Emperor speak again, Mu Yunyao hurriedly stood up and bowed. “This humble daughter is here.”

“Your embroidery skills are quite good. The Autumn Hunting is just around the corner, so why don’t you go with us and draw a picture of Autumn Hunting? How about you embroider it into a screen?”

Mu Yunyao hurriedly bowed to show her gratitude, “Thank you for your kindness, Your Majesty. This humble daughter will definitely do her best.”

“Very well. If the embroidery is not good, I will punish you.”

Mu Yunyao couldn’t help but raise her head and smile as she said, “This humble one’s talent is shallow. I’m confident in my embroidery skills, but I’m not good at painting. How about asking the Emperor to make a picture of Autumn Hunting, and this humble daughter will embroider according to your picture?”

When the Emperor heard this, he couldn’t help but laugh. “If I were to draw autumn hunting pictures myself, no matter how much you’ve embroidered it, I’m afraid no one would dare say anything bad about it.”

Grand Princess Yi De couldn’t help but think of Laba porridge in Jingling City she had sent to her, smiling as she said, “Others may not dare to say, but I am not afraid. At that time, how about I give you my evaluation?” No matter what her intentions were, she was willing to promote those who could do things for the people, which could be considered an example to others.

The Emperor was even happier now. “Of course, it’s good. No one else is more qualified than Royal Eldest Sister.”

The atmosphere in the hall was even more passionate than before. After Mu Yunyao had returned to her seat, the gazes on her gradually increased.

The Second Madam was holding a teacup on one side to hide her smile. The Eldest Madam and Su Yuyi’s expressions were so interesting. This time, Su Yuyi could practically soar into the sky, but it was a pity that Mu Yunyao gave birth to trouble for her.

Su Yuyi was indeed astonishingly beautiful. If she were an ordinary person, then the Eldest Madam’s scheme would have succeeded. Unfortunately, the ones they wanted to curry favor with were the Emperor and Grand Princess Yi De. Were these two ordinary people? It’s really inferior to show your beauty in front of these two people. On the contrary, Mu Yunyao won a lifetime of good reputation with ten thousand taels of silver. It really can’t be worth any more.

In the following time, a few young ladies from aristocratic families stepped forward to perform their talents. However, due to Su Yuyi’s stunning performance before, everyone felt that it was a bit unimpressive in comparison.

While the Emperor and Grand Princess Yi De had gone down to change clothes and rest, the officials were free to enjoy themselves in the main hall. Young ladies and madams can go outside and enjoy the gardens view on the left and right sides. After all, the banquet would continue all the way until the evening. It was hard to avoid being bored just by sitting in the great hall.

Zhang Wan and Mu Yunyao had a pleasant conversation previously. Now when she was thinking of going out for a walk, she couldn’t help calling her out.

Mu Yunyao didn’t want to stay in the main hall and be sized up by everyone, so she followed Zhang Wan to the garden to get some fresh air. Now, it was autumn, and the air she breathed was cool, causing one’s spirit to tremble.

“Little Sister Mu is truly fortunate to be able to accompany the Emperor to participate in the September Autumn Hunting.”

“Elder Sister Zhang, why are you so envious? You might even be able to go when the time comes.”

Zhang Wan quickly shook her head. “The Autumn Hunting in September is unusual. Other than the prince and some ladies of high status, we have never had a chance.”

“That was back then, but isn’t there now the Grand Princess Yi De?” Since Grand Princess Yi De wanted to select people, she naturally had carefully selected them. She would have to see them a few more times to understand their temperament. Besides, after the Mid Autumn Festival Palace Banquet, it’s not long before the Autumn Hunting in September. It just so happened to be the right time to observe everyone’s character. At that time, the Emperor might ask people to bring the young ladies of the various families.

Zhang Wan’s eyes lit up. “Is that really possible?” She did not wish to win the Grand Princess’s admiration, but she only hoped to catch a glimpse of Su Qingwu’s elegance during the Autumn Hunting.

“If Elder Sister Zhang trusts me, why don’t you prepare your riding clothes after you return?”

“Alright.” Zhang Wan was overjoyed. After saying so, she felt that her tone was too hasty. She quickly added, “Even if I can’t wear it then, I will have a chance to do so in the future. Making a set of clothes won’t be a waste …”

Mu Yunyao smiled and nodded. Zhou Yuyin walked over to look for Zhang Wan as if she had something to say.

Mu Yunyao considerately walked to the side to admire the flowers. The Palace’s flowers were even more precious than those outside, and their quality was also better. It was just that a chrysanthemum was unexpectedly blooming in a purple flame, causing her to be slightly startled.

“Looking at Miss Mu’s expression, it seems that you are very fond of this purple flame. Don’t you like the Shameless Beauty I gave you?”

Incurable Chapter 23 part 3

There was no one at the community gate, but the doorman’s room was lit, and there were shadows inside the room. There was only silence outside, except for the sound of rain.

Mu Wan’s heart was spread with a layer of soft yarn.

She raised her leg and ran over.

When she got closer, Liu Qianxiu’s eyes gradually became clear. He looked at her, carrying a dark, off-white supermarket shopping bag, but Mu Wan could guess what was inside.

She ordered sweet and sour lotus roots this afternoon.

Like floating duckweed, Mu Wan crashed into his umbrella. A faint sandalwood fragrance rushed over her face. He protected her, and the rain could not hit her.

After her mother’s death, she did not remember how much rain she had been exposed to, but she couldn’t get it this time.

Mu Wan got wet from a short distance, and raindrops were on her delicate white face. She smiled and raised her hand to wipe the raindrop to avoid embarrassment. After wiping it away, she looked up at him, her eyes shining brightly.

“Liu Qianxiu, are you waiting for me?”

Her voice was still sweet, and her tone rose cheerfully, like the ripples of raindrops spreading on the water.

Liu Qianxiu quietly looked at Mu Wan under the umbrella. The street light was on, and her shadow grew slightly outside the umbrella. It was long and slender, like a cat’s tail.

“Yeah.” Liu Qianxiu replied.

The two of them returned home holding an umbrella. Because Mu Wan was drenched in the rain, she ran to the second bedroom’s bathroom to shower. After taking a bath, the heat on her body was steamed clean. She left the bedroom red-faced and still wore Liu Qianxiu’s shirt. The shirt is long and oversized. She is petite, so her white legs look thin and long.

The sweet and sour lotus root made by Liu Qianxiu tastes good. Mu Wan was filming all day today and didn’t have a good meal, so she ate two rice bowls for dinner. After eating, she took the three kittens to the living room.

As soon as she sat down, a flash of lightning broke the dark sky outside the window, illuminating the entire living room. The rain outside was pouring down heavily.

“There will be heavy rain tonight.” Mu Wan listened to the rolling thunder and said to Liu Qianxiu.

The three little ones in her arms were terrified, and they kept drilling into her arms. Mu Wan wrapped them in her arms and could feel the little guys trembling.

“They are so afraid of thunder.” Mu Wan said, hearing another thunder outside. The three little ones shuddered again, and there was some brisk panic in their cry.

They are too young, so they are scared of thunder. As a child, Mu Wan was also afraid of thunder but gradually became unafraid. Thunder is louder at best and won’t hit her, so she doesn’t need to fear it.

Liu Qianxiu was sitting in front of her. While his fingers gently picked up a page of the book, he looked down at the three kittens in Mu Wan’s arms and withdrew his gaze. The thunder and lightning flashed outside the window, and the wind and rain swayed. But the inside was quiet, warm, and comfortable.

Mu Wan stretched out her body, put her arms on the short table, and put her face on it. The sound of the rain, the sound of books turned in her ears, and the sandalwood fragrance that filled her nose calmed her nerves. It made Mu Wan curl up before the table and gradually close her eyes.

Liu Qianxiu has a very regular schedule for work and rest, so when the time comes, the tiredness gradually hits. Closing the book, Liu Qianxiu raised his eyes at the short table.

Mu Wan was asleep, and he could hear her well-proportioned long breath, her hands resting on her arms, and her thick black hair covering the small half of her face, like a veil over her face.

There are slender eyebrows, lifted corners of her eyes, slightly curled eyelashes, and shiny red lips under the black veil.

She slept quietly, and there was a sense of laziness in the quiet, as if a kitten had played enough and was tired. After finding a comfortable shelter, she stretched her waist and lay asleep.

The soft light made Mu Wan’s petite body like it opened up a shallow shadow in the living room.

She slept for a while and had no time to care for the three little ones afraid of thunder in her arms. The kitten yelled a few times and was not comforted. They quickly stepped forward to find another backing and were now sleeping in Liu Qianxiu’s arms.

Looking up at the time, it is already ten o’clock.

There was no lightning and thunder outside the window, but the rain was violent and showed no signs of abating.

Holding the three little ones in his arms, Liu Qianxiu got up and put them into the cat room. Liu Qianxiu put down the kitten, got out of the cats’ room, and stood outside the aperture of the table lamp in the living room.

Under the desk lamp, Mu Wan and the light, with the short table and a few books, are like a delicate painting. Her posture was uncomfortable. Her slender back was slightly slanted, and her shirt collar was wide open, revealing her thin shoulders. She didn’t sit cross-legged; her one leg stretched out from under the oversized shirt, slender and white.

Although uncomfortable, she showed no signs of waking up, and her breathing was still symmetrical and long.

Liu Qianxiu got up and walked into the painting.

When his left arm wrapped around Mu Wan’s waist, Liu Qianxiu smelled the fragrance of freesia and a thin layer of sandalwood on her body, which smelled of his shower gel and clothes. He pursed his lips slightly, pressed hard with one hand, put his right arm under her knee socket, and lifted her from the ground.

She is light and wears a white shirt, like a white feather. When Liu Qianxiu picked her up, she moved twice. Her little head was curled up in his arms, and her hands also grabbed his clothes.

There was even an unpleasant grunt.

Her breathing was warm, and she was caught in his arms.

Under the lamp, Liu Qianxiu hugged her and got up. Both of them escaped from the lamp’s dim shadow. In the dark shadow, the outline of the woman’s facial features was hazy, and he saw the corners of her eyes move.

“Are you awake?” said Liu in a low voice, as deep as night.

“I didn’t.” In his arms, Mu Wan said in a low voice, a little dumbness.

“...”

Mu Wan, who has no silver three hundred taels here*, finished speaking, and her heart was elevated in her chest. Nostalgic for this tenderness, she raised her hand and grabbed the skirt of his chest. Mu Wan’s voice was affectionate and lazy with a slight effort, like coming from a dream.

“Liu Qianxiu, can I stay tonight? I’m a little tired and don’t want to go home.”

She said it, still buried in his arms, smelling the faint scent of sandalwood. She seemed to have fallen asleep again.

Before going to bed, Mu Wan heard Liu Qianxiu’s answer. The rain outside the window was fierce, and his voice was exceptionally gentle.

“Yeah.” Liu Qianxiu answered quietly, “You can do whatever you want.”

* There is no silver three hundred taels here is a Chinese idiom, pronounced cǐ dì wú yín sān bǎi liǎng, which is a metaphor for trying to conceal things, but it turns out to be exposed.
