Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 426

~ MEN ALSO WILLING TO LET THEIR BELOVED SEE A BETTER SELF OF THEMSELVES ~

In Yue Wang’s residence, Eunuch Cheng went back and forth a few times. After delivering the fragrant tea and snacks, he stood by the side and ground the ink, looking at Yue Wang’s expression with a hesitant expression.

“Uncle Cheng, if you have anything to say, just say it.”

“Your Royal Highness is truly wise. This servant indeed has some things that I want to say, but I don’t know if it’s appropriate for me to say them.”

“If Uncle Cheng feels that it’s inappropriate, then don’t talk about it.”

“As a servant, how could I possibly deceive Master? This servant better say it then. When did you invite Miss Mu here as a guest?”

Yue Wang paused for a moment, and the light in his eyes dimmed a little: “We’ll talk about it later.”

“Your Royal Highness, did you have an argument with Miss Mu? Should we get Hongyan to pass on the letter again?”

When the parrot in the birdcage outside the door heard Eunuch Cheng say its name, it couldn’t help but flap its wings and recite a poem. “Guan Jiu is on the River Continent. My fair lady and a gentleman is good...”

Yue Wang raised his head, and the gloominess in his eyes became even more apparent. “Let’s talk about it later.” These days, when he went to Ni Yun Fang, he saw that Mu Yunyao had prepared many gifts. Even Cao Yunnian’s son, Cao Zhiwen, had a new set of clothes, but he was the only one with nothing.

Seeing the look of Yue Wang’s expression, Eunuch Cheng was anxious and quickly gave a voice to persuade him. “Your Royal Highness, if an ordinary person raises a pot of flower, they have to water it regularly, loosen the soil, trim the branches and leaves on time, and even carefully fertilize the plant. They also have to be moved out to bask in the sun often. The flowers still have to be like this, not to mention humans. If people don’t take care of the flowers for a period of time, the branches and leaves will wither and yellow. Same with people, if people don’t meet for a period of time, their relationship might become distant...”

Yue Wang frowned. Just as he was about to say something, he heard a report from the door, “Your Royal Highness, Miss Mu has come ans has already entered the door.”

Yue Wang’s fingers pressed slightly, and the brush broke into pieces. He then stood up abruptly and walked towards the door. His dull eyes were filled with joy in the blink of an eye. His usual calm and composed look were nowhere to be seen.

Eunuch Cheng was stunned upon seeing the appearance of Yue Wang like this. He used to think that Yue Wang was a cold and steady man, but who would have thought that he would be like a kid after meeting Miss Mu. “Wang Ye, do you want to change into a new set of clothes? And hair, do you want to brush it again? Then for the crown, let’s change it to white jade, shall we?”

Yue Wang suddenly stopped and lowered his head to look at his black robes. He could not help but frown: “Uncle Cheng, please choose one for me.”

In this world, not only were women willing to dress up for the person they loved, but men were also willing to let their beloved see a better self of themselves.

Mu Yunyao followed Yu Heng into Yue Wang’s Palace. This was the first time, so she carefully looked up this place.

Yue Wang’s residence was very spacious, and because it was sparsely populated, it was especially capacious. This place was originally the residence of the Emperor’s Elder Brother, Qin Wang. After Qin Wang failed to compete for the throne, he was sentenced to guard the Imperial Mausoleum. After three years, he passed away, and the residence remained deserted. Later, Yue Wang was assigned to Western Guangdong. He should have his own mansion in the Capital. Thus, the Emperor simply repaired this place and gave it to him.

Qin Wang had once fought with the Emperor for the throne, and his methods were extremely harsh. Therefore, the Emperor was especially disgusted with him. Now that he had bestowed this mansion to Yue Wang, It is inevitable that people feel that the Emperor was dissatisfied with Yue Wang, which confirmed his unfavored reputation.

Yu Heng led Mu Yunyao to the main hall and had the servants serve tea before hurriedly retreating to the door to wait for Yue Wang to come.

Mu Yunyao took a sip of her tea. It was the Lotus Fragrance that she had asked someone to give to Yue Wang. It was just that the water used to brew the tea wasn’t quite good, and the method of making it wasn’t suitable either, which made this cup of tea lose a lot of colors.

Jin Lan originally wanted to help Mu Yunyao take off her cloak, but after feeling the temperature in the room, she gave up on that thought, “Miss, your servant will go to the carriage and bring the heater.”

Mu Yunyao shook her head, “There’s no need to go through all this trouble. It’s not that cold.”

After waiting for about a quarter of an hour, Yue Wang hurried over.

He had a white jade crown on his head and was wearing light blue robes. The collar and cuffs of his clothes were embroidered with cloud patterns. The light color set off his chilly appearance, making people’s hearts tremble slightly.

Mu Yunyao was stunned for a moment before regaining her senses. Usually, Yue Wang liked profound colored outfits. She had always thought that this person’s handsome appearance would be even more outstanding if he wore light-colored clothes. When she looked at it now, it was indeed breathtaking. “Greetings, Your Royal Highness Yue Wang.”

“Yunyao, I’ve made you wait.”

When Yue Wang arrived, Jin Lan and Jin Qiao left, leaving only Mu Yunyao and Yue Wang in the room.

The two of them were silent for a moment before Mu Yunyao took the lead and spoke first, “Your Royal Highness Yue Wang seems to be exceptionally different today.”

Joy grew in Yue Wang’s heart, and his eyes became gentler and softer: “Does Yunyao like to see me like this?”

Mu Yunyao’s ears turned slightly red, and she hurriedly changed the topic, “I’ve come here today to ask Your Royal Highness Yue Wang’ a favor.”

“What’s the matter?” When he saw Mu Yunyao’s expression, Yue Wang’s mood became even more joyous.

“I had a discussion with Grand Princess Yi De about giving porridge in the coming year. The Grand Princess was saying that she also wanted to donate some silver taels. I thought that if the Grand Princess were to intervene, the families of many officials would definitely be unable to sit still. Things would inevitably get out of hand, and it is not appropriate for Ni Yun Fang to take the lead. Therefore, I would like to ask Your Royal Highness Yue Wang to come to the Palace and report to the Emperor about this matter. I thought it would be better if the Emperor to send his Imperial Children to do this.”

“Yunyao, re you trying to give me credit?” Looking at Mu Yunyao, Yue Wang’s heart is full of warmth. He just thought she looked good everywhere, and no one could compare her.

“Your Royal Highness Yue Wang is overthinking it.” Mu Yunyao slightly tilted her head to look at the door and couldn’t help but rub her fingertips.

Yue Wang stood up and walked towards the door: “Yu Heng, bring two more charcoal pots over. The room is too cold.”

“Yes, Wang Ye.” Just as Yu Heng was going to find a charcoal pot, he saw Eunuch Cheng leading the servants over.

“Wang Ye, you rarely use charcoal pots, so the room is unavoidably colder. Miss Mu’s body is delicate and must be extremely unaccustomed. This old servant asked people to prepare charcoal pot. Do you think these are enough?”

When she heard this voice, Mu Yunyao couldn’t help but stand up and walk towards the door. Previously, she heard from Steward Qin that Eunuch Cheng had lost an eye in order to protect Yue Wang, and later on, his throat had been destroyed by medicine. Therefore, as long as he heard his voice, he must be Eunuch Cheng.

Eunuch Cheng raised his head and saw a young girl with a pink face like a lotus, looking delicate and graceful like gurgling water coming from the east. She was strikingly gorgeous, particularly her elegant breath, which made people want to hold it in her palm and take care of her carefully. The opposite of her breath, her pair eyes are exceptionally sharp. Even though she was smiling, there was also a hint of estrangement in the coldness.

“Greetings, Miss Mu.”

“There’s no need to be so polite, Eunuch Cheng.” Mu Yunyao took a look at Eunuch Cheng’s face. He had lost one of his eyes. Because he was old and his skin was loose, his eye sockets were wrinkled together. At a glance, he did look a little scary, but his remaining eye’s eyes were so clear, and his expression was especially righteous, making it evident that this person was not evil.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 425

~ MISS MU, A LITTLE MONEY FAN ~

More than a month has passed unconsciously, and the matter of spreading the art of embroidery needle technique was drawing to a close. The commoners of the Capital were beginning to get busy for the new year.

Mu Yunyao accepted the last stitch of the embroidery and lightly rubbed her sore wrist as she sized up the embroidery before her with satisfaction.

Footsteps sounded from the door. Mu Yunyao turned her head and saw Su Qing supporting Grand Princess Yi De as they walked in. “Greetings, Grandmother.”

“I heard from your mother that you, little girl, have locked yourself in your room for many days now. Doing embroidery is most harmful to your eyes. You are young now, but you will understand the suffering when you get older.” Grand Princess Yi De walked around the bead curtain. When she saw the embroidery lying beside Mu Yunyao, she suddenly stopped, and her eyes were filled with amazement. “This....”

The embroidery item in front of her was not large, but it was exceptionally breathtaking. The precious and solemn Guanyin statue is embroidered on the white embroidered fabric. She was dressed in white, her face kind, with a holy, gentle breath. She sits on a lotus platform, holding willow branches, making people feel calm and peaceful at a glance.

What made Grand Princess Yi De most pleasantly surprised was that the Guanyin statue seemed to have a hint of her shadow. The two children sitting quietly beside the Guanyin Lotus Pagoda looked very much like Su Qing and Mu Yunyao.

With just a glance, she already felt that she couldn’t put it down. When Mu Yunyao turned the embroidery over, there was actually a scripture behind it. It was the Kitigarbha Sutra that Mu Yunyao had helped Grand Princess Yi De copy before.

“Yao’er, you are really considerate. I really like this piece of embroidery very much. In a while, I will ask someone to make a screen and set it up in my room later.”

Mu Yunyao blinked slightly. “But Grandmother, I want to give this embroidery to the Emperor.” She said she would send more gifts to the Emperor for the New Year, so she prepared several items.

“The Emperor receives an uncountable number of gifts every year. Especially in the past two years, your embroidery products have been exceptional. This year, many people will definitely be giving embroidered gifts. Thus, just give me this one.” Grand Princess Yi De looked at it carefully. The more she looked at it, the more she liked it.

Mu Yunyao thought for a moment and felt that it was indeed the case. What kind of good things has the Emperor never seen before, so he definitely didn’t lack these two pieces of embroidery. “Fine. I’ll get someone to bring them to you when Grandmother leaves later.”

“Alright. A few days ago, I had someone clean up the warehouse and found a lot of good stuff. There are a lot of pieces of jewelry for girls your age. They’re already put in the front hall. You can go take a look later to see if there’s anything you like.”

“Grandmother has already given me a lot of accessories during this period of time. I can wear them in rotation for a full year. Perhaps, after a while, I will have emptied Grandmother’s warehouse.”

Grand Princess Yi De held Mu Yunyao’s hand, a smile on her face. “Grandmother’s things are yours. If you want to go to the storehouse at any time, I’ve collected quite a few good things over the years. It’s enough for you to move them for a few years.”

Mu Yunyao’s smile was brilliant as she leaned on Grand Princess Yi De. Her tone was full of joy, “Mother, listen, this was something Grandmother promised me. I’ll have Qu Mama bring me to the warehouse later to pick out those that looked incomparably precious.”

Grand Princess Yi De was amused by her. She stretched out her hand to embrace Mu Yunyao and lovingly stroked her hair. “I really didn’t expect that our Yao’er was actually also a little money fan. Alright, let’s go to Mama's to choose later.”

After chatting and joking with Grand Princess Yi De for quite a while, she couldn’t help but mention the matter of going to Baohua Temple.

“Yao’er, the Laba Porridge Festival just happened at the same time as the day you teach the embroidery needle technique, so you weren’t able to make porridge on that day. I heard that you were having someone prepare it for you, saying that you wanted to set up a porridge tradition before the new year?”

“Yes, it is indeed so. By doing something to give back to the people, I can feel a bit more at ease.”

“Is there anything I can do for you?”

“Grandmother, you don’t need to worry. We’ve already arranged everything, and it's almost done. I had some experience with many things last year in Jingling City, but this time it isn’t on a much larger scale than before. After all, I’ve been short on silver recently.” The silver earned from the salt merchant can be used secretly, but she can’t be put on the surface, so the scale of this porridge will not be much larger than before.

“I made a wish in the Baohua Temple before and said that if I can find my daughter again, I will do many good deeds for the people of the world. Now that you could count giving porridge as my share. I’ll donate 200,000 tael of silver as as a temporary commitment to the original promise and slowly return the favor in the future.”

“Grandmother, two hundred thousand taels of silver is too much. Moreover, if you were to donate that tael of silver, the families of the other officials would definitely follow the wind, so how can they leave some space for them?”

Mu Yunyao originally wanted to stop her. But when she heard the words' return the favor,' she nodded in agreement. There may beretribution in this world. Otherwise, how cold the heavens allow her to reincarnate? Thus, she could do more good deeds. She was going through a lot. Many of her ideas are slowly changing, and the hostility in her heart has been sapped quite a bit.”

“Alright, how much silver do you need? You can discuss directly with Qu Mama when the time comes. All the things in Grandmother’s hand will be left to you in the future, so you can use them however you want.” After finding Su Qing and Mu Yunyao, she wished that she could hold them in her palm. But after careful consideration, she still didn’t rashly interfere in Mu Yunyao’s matter.

First of all, Yunyao’s personality was very independent, and she had her own rules for speaking and doing things. If she interfered rashly, she would only interrupt her plans. Secondly, as she gets older, there will always be a day when she can not protect them. Rather than coddling their mother and daughter in the golden silk cage, it would be better to let them recklessly charge through. After all, she is still there now. Even if something happens, she could ensure that they would be safe and carefree.

Mu Yunyao thought for a moment before smiling at Grand Princess Yi De. “Grandmother, if you’re going to participate, then this matter can’t be handled by Ni Yun Fang. Why don’t you invite His Royal Highness Yue Wang over to the Imperial Palace?”

After some thought, Grand Princess Yi De understood the meaning of her words. “You want to hand this matter over to Yue Wang and then attribute the credit to the Emperor?”

“What does Grandmother think?”

“Well, that’s good. You are so thoughtful and considerate. You are much better than your grandmother was when she was young.” Grand Princess Yi De looked at Mu Yunyao with a gratified gaze. “For so many years, the Emperor and I have helped and supported each other. There are inevitably suspicions and concessions involved. But in the end, our affection has taken up a large part. Everyone said that the Imperial Family was heartless, but people had feelings, and the Imperial Family was no exception. The Emperor’s personality is somewhat similar to Yue Wang’s. If you treat him well, he won’t turn a blind eye. The Emperor has also grown older. Over the past few years, his personality has become softer and gentler, and he’s also willing to interact with some juniors. When Yao’er has nothing better to do, you often go to the Imperial Palace to take a look. It’s hard for him to live in high places, and it’s not easy for the Emperor these past few years.”

“Yes, Yunyao understands.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 424

~ DO I HAVE A FACE THAT’S EASY TO ROB? ~

The dissemination of the embroidery needle technique progressed remarkably smoothly. Mu Yunyao was in charge of the overall situation. There weren’t many things that could be brought to her, so she was at leisure.

Su Qing brought over the white fungus soup. Seeing Mu Yunyao’s meticulously matched embroidery, she couldn’t help but say, “Yao’er, drink some white fungus soup and rest for a while.”

Mu Yunyao had a restless personality. Seeing that the New Year was approaching, she began preparing various kinds of New Year’s presents. She had to prepare many gifts this year, including the Grand Princess Yi De and the Emperor. In addition, her mother, adoptive father, adoptive mother, and adoptive brother … she’s afraid that she has to be busy until the New Year.

Su Qing looked at the fabric that Mu Yunyao had prepared and casually said, “This navy blue cloth is quite beautiful. If you were making it for your godfather’s clothes, it wouldn’t be enough, right?”

“It really can’t be used up. Does mother have any use for this piece of cloth?”

“What’s the use for me? I just feel that Yue Wang is busy running back and forth. A few days ago, I noticed a scratch on his sleeve, but he didn’t notice. His Royal Highness Yue Wang was alone, and there was no one in the residence to take care of him. Even the servants were men as well, so it’s inevitable that there are omissions.”

Mu Yunyao lowered her eyes slightly, her emotions completely unreadable, “Your Royal Highness Yue Wang is a prince. What kind of clothes he wants is just a matter of one sentence, so there’s no need for us to worry. Mother has been making clothes these past few days. Even though your fingers have healed well, and there is not much pain in winter, you still have to pay extra attention to them. Do not get tired.”

“Alright, Mother understands.” Seeing that Mu Yunyao was unwilling to bring up the matter about Yue Wang, Su Qing did not force herself. She could only slightly sigh in her heart. She has spent a lot of time interacting with him in the past few days. The more she knows about him, the more she feels that Yue Wang’s character and temperament are considered suitable for Yunyao. The key is that he is sincere to Yunyao. The problem is the different generations. Even if they were cousins, they still wouldn’t need to worry so much as they do now.

Su Qing watched Mu Yunyao finish the white fungus soup, then carefully advised her to rest a little before getting up and leaving.

Mu Yunyao put down the embroidery needles in her hand, got up, and walked to the cabinet. Inside was a fine piece of sky-blue cloth. She gently touched it and pursed her lips to close the cabinet’s door.

Sitting back in her seat once again, Mu Yunyao picked up the embroidery needle in her hand, but after pausing for a long time, she was still unable to calm down. In the end, she had no choice but to take the fabric out of the cabinet and begin cutting it.

In the Capital, the number of people who had mastered the embroidery needle technique grew steadily. The number of embroidery products of different colors and grades is gradually increasing. Many commoners had just discovered that embroidery prices had started to drop. Some merchants also have leased shops and have begun to buy embroidery products.

Many commoners couldn’t hold back their curiosity. They took out things that they had embroidered themselves and went to ask. The shops are priced according to the appearance of the embroidered products, which could make the commoners earn some silver.

As a result, the women’s interest in learning embroidery needle techniques became increasingly high, and the praises of Ni Yun Fang and Mu Yunyao also increased.

The Capital was bustling with activity, and even Western Guangdong was in an uproar of joy. Steward Qin had already arranged for someone to send a new batch of stir-fried ginger tea. He also ordered someone to set up a caravan and quietly transport the salt from Linjiang City to Western Guangdong.

Yuxi City, which was right next to Western Guangdong, gradually became more lively. After the change of the city lord, the investigation of caravans became more relaxed, and the number of people willing to go to Yuxi City to do business increased steadily.

There was actually someone who transported a large number of embroidery products through Yuxi City half a month later. When the soldiers guarding the city saw the owner of the merchant caravan, they couldn’t help but ask, “Lord Wang, you’re here again?”

Lord Wang nodded, dismounted his horse, and stuffed a purse in his pocket: “Thank you, Brother, for taking care of me. Our Wang family’s caravan has not been robbed in either of these two cases. It seems like my incense in the temple was still effective, thanks to Buddha’s blessing.”

“Was it fabric embroidery goods being transported this time?”

Lord Wang pulled out a piece of fabric from the carriage and said, “Brother, please don’t mind it. Take this fabric home and give it to your wife to make a dress.”

The soldier touched the fabric in his hand and felt it was as smooth as water, much better than his wife’s face. “This is too valuable....”

Although the conditions in Yuxi City were much better than those in Western Guangdong, it was not possible to buy such high-quality silk embroidery with silver, let alone a soldier guarding the city gate. It was really too expensive.

“Brother, you are welcome. Thanks to your guidance, my carriage has a lot of embroidery during this period. You should keep this item with you. The next time I meet something good, I will bring you a few pieces of material. Oh, right, how is my rival, the Zhang family merchant? I heard that they are still selling tea?”

Speaking of the Zhang caravan, the city guard shook his head, “Don’t say anymore. It was robbed two days ago. The owner of the Zhang caravan is even worse than you. I heard that he even pawned his clothes and managed to stay overnight. The next day, the whole caravan cried and left.”

“Hehe, let him be black-hearted. Thank you for the information, Brother. Please help me keep an eye out for the Zhang caravan, and please don’t tell him about me selling the embroidery product.”

“Okay, don’t worry, Lord Wang.”

After some time, the Zhang family sent a batch of embroidery and quietly found a piece of fabric for the city guards, “Brother, thank you for communicating with me. Otherwise, all the silver would have been taken away by that evil merchant from the Wang family. I also transported a batch of embroidery. I think it won’t be robbed.”

Before he could finish his sentence, he heard the rumbling of hooves approaching. Soon after, a group of fearless and valiant bandits arrived on horseback. The bandit leaders even raised their hands to greet the Zhang family caravan, then roared and drove off at full speed with the carriages.

The owner of the Zhang caravan looked at this scene in a daze, then sat down on the ground and started to wail.

The city guard touched the fabric in his hand and felt that it was not as good as the one that was given by Lord Wang last time, so he handed the cloth over to Lord Zhang: “Lord Zhang, this is really a trick of fortune. If not, you can also go into the temple and pay your respects next time. You can take this fabric to the city, sell it, and take a rest at the inn in the city for the night.” If he did not return the fabric, the owner of the Zhang family would probably pawn his clothes again.

“… Thank you brother, how can I be so unlucky? That evil merchant from the Wang family was not robbed. But when I got here, there was a problem. God, you opened your eyes too!”

Just as his voice fell, he suddenly heard a loud cracking sound, as if thunder had exploded in the sky. He was so frightened that he immediately knelt down and kowtowed, “God, please don’t blame me. I was just careless with my words.”

The soldier guarding the city looked a bit embarrassed. He stepped forward and helped Zhang’s family owner up, “It was a stall in the city that collapsed. It wasn’t because of the heavens’ lightning....” After all, it was winter and a sunny day, so how could there be thunder? The Zhang family owner was about to go crazy from these robbers.

This year, things were not calm again. The robbers had taken groups after groups of them, treating the caravan like a tree and harvesting them one by one. Fortunately, the robbers did not disturb the people, so Yuxi City turned a blind eye.

~ PRODIGAL MASTER ~

The Sixth Princess’s marriage date was set three months later, at the end of January. If it was not for the approaching Chinese New Year, the Imperial Court would really be too busy. The Emperor was so angry that he did not even want to wait three months, so he decided to marry her off to the Su family earlier. Out of sight and out of mind.

The Grand Princess Yi De originally wanted to hold the ceremony before the new year to recognize Mu Yunyao as her granddaughter. But there were only two months until the new year. In addition, Mu Yunyao wanted to preside over the dissemination of the embroidery needle technique. Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo also would have to settle their accounts book at the end of the year. There are too many things, and they can only be put off until the end of the year.

The Grand Princess Yi De was very sorry. Later, she thought that it would be good to have more time to prepare. If she had enough time, she could prepare more carefully.

Mu Yunyao began to spread the embroidery needle technique matter, and the common folk of the Capital did not have the time to spread the Su family’s rumors. All the women, who wanted to learn the embroidery needle technique, gathered at the academies especially established for them.

Mu Yunyao carefully assigned the embroidery ladies that had rushed over from Jingling City. She had already taught them all the embroidery needle techniques she knew. As for how much they learned, it would depend on their perception.

The time limit of the tenth day of Yue Wang’s confinement soon came to an end. He changed into a new set of clothes and went straight to Ni Yun Fang. In the past, in order to avoid arousing suspicion, he had deliberately concealed his presence and whereabouts. Now that Grand Princess Yi De had revealed that she recognized Mu Yunyao as her granddaughter, Yue Wang didn’t even try to hide anymore and swaggered around Ni Yun Fang.

“Yunyao, Imperial Father punished me with a salary of over half a year. I’m almost unable to open the pot in my residence, so I can only eat and drink with you.”

Mu Yunyao laughed, “Your Royal Highness Yue Wang sure knows how to joke around. You’re the Prince of the Dali Dynasty, yet you’re unable to open the pot after being punished for half a year. How poor are you exactly?”

Yue Wang was sitting upright on Mu Yunyao’s embroidered soft couch. His expression was slightly serious, but his tone was confident and righteous, “You said that you will help me earn a lot of silver taels. Although I earned quite a bit previously, I still have many people to raise, so I’ve almost used up all of them.”

Mu Yunyao turned around and said in surprise, “It’s only been a short time, and you’ve already spent over 10 million silver?” To be able to spend so much silver in such a short time was also a skill.

Yue Wang nodded his head: “In the past, Western Guangdong had a weak foundation. Even after eight years of development, they still did not improve much, and many arrangements were delayed. Now that there is silver tael, a lot of them are filled in. It was expressly difficult to earn silver, but spending it was quite easy. So now we’re running out of silver, and the expenses in residence are tense.”

Mu Yunyao smiled as she glanced at him. This person didn’t see much difficulty when earning silver, “I actually have a way to make silver here. I wonder if Your Royal Highness is interested?”

“Let’s talk about it.” Yue Wang looked at Mu Yunyao, his eyes filled with concentration.

Mu Yunyao sat behind the table and flipped through the account books with one hand while drawing and writing with the other. The sunlight shone on her sides and covered her body with a layer of warm yellow light, like a cat basking in the sun. It made people want to reach out and caress her with their hands. “Over the past few days, Ni Yun Fang has developed rapidly.

The learned process of the embroidery needle technique continued very quickly. More and more people began to understand the embroidery process. Although not everyone makes a living by embroidery, many people did it quite well. When Yue Wang saw those embroideries, doesn’t he have any interest in it?”

“Embroidery? That is to say,Ni Yun Fang can sell a set of clothes for a thousand taels of silver. As for the other shops and stores, they simply cannot make such a huge profit.”

Mu Yunyao put down her brush. “I heard that Western Guangdong is very close to Northern Xinjiang and Yunnan.”

Yue Wang’s brows twitched, and his eyes lit up: “Yunyao, you aren’t trying to sell the embroidery to Northern Xinjiang and Yunnan, are you?”

“Why not? Our tea leaves and silks are extremely popular with the people of Northern Xinjiang and Yunnan. As the number of people who could embroider increased in the Dali Dynasty, the price of embroidery cloth must be a bit cheaper. Rather than fighting over a small profit here, it’s better to keep our sights set on the future.”

Yue Wang thought about it carefully. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that it was a feasible idea. “This idea is not bad. Northern Xinjiang is a place where war horses flourish, while Yunnan’s cattle and sheep flock together. Thus, if Ni Yun Fang’s embroidery and Bu Xian Luo’s tea leaves used to exchange for these, it must be extremely worthwhile.”

“These are not the big ones. We still have a batch of salt in Linjiang City that has not been touched. We have a austere investigation of the salt tax now, so we don’t know how long we have to wait to sell it. If we find an opportunity to transport it to Western Guangdong and sell it to Northern Xinjiang and Yunnan, our profits might be double.”

Yue Wang stood up and paced back and forth in the room: “That’s right. Western Guangdong is suffering from the bitter cold, and very few people pay attention to it.It used to be bad. But now you can hide people’s eyes and ears with the help of it. Yunyao, you spread the embroidery needle technique all over the place. Is that why you’re doing this?”

“Your Royal Highness Yue Wang has overestimated me. I spread embroidery the needle technique just so I could gain a foothold and gain fame for myself. How could I possibly think about something so long-term?”

Perhaps others would have to take things one step at a time. But for Mu Yunyao, every step seemed to be meticulously planned out. Watching her come all the way from Jingling City to the Capital and forcing the Su family to fail time and time again, it was as if she was always in an invincible position.

“You think very thoroughly as if everything is under your control.”

Mu Yunyao slightly paused for a moment before slowly opening her mouth and smiling, “Foolish people always have their own considerations. I admit that I am not the most intelligent one, so I can only think more about every step in the future. I have thought of innumerable possibilities and calculated countless times. For many people, even if they make a mistake, they have the opportunity to start over again, so they can afford to make a mistake. But for me, if I’m careless, I will lose all of my matches, so I don’t have the qualifications to make myself fail.”

Along the way, if it weren’t for her meticulous planning, she and her mother would only be at the Su family’s mercy, just like in her previous life. If she lost, she wouldn’t even know how she died.

Looking at Mu Yunyao’s nonchalant expression, Yue Wang actually felt an unspeakable bitterness from within. “Yunyao, even though Imperial Aunt is unable officially acknowledge you as part of the Imperial Family, she has already said that she wants to recognize you as her granddaughter. With Imperial Aunt as her backer, you don’t have to be so careful. Even if you did make a mistake, Imperial Aunt would still help you through the difficulties, not to mention … You and me.”

Mu Yunyao’s heart trembled, and a sour and bitter feeling melted from her heart. “Then I’ll need Uncle to take good care of me in the future.”

“I don’t like that name.” He knew that Mu Yunyao’s way of calling him uncle was not only a reminder to her but also a reminder to himself. But emotions were the hardest things to explain clearly in this world. The moment you move your heart, even though you knew it was like a moth flying into a flame, you would not be able to contain the desire to welcome the instant warmth and light.

Mu Yunyao slightly withdrew her finger. After pausing for a moment, she picked up her brush and continued to check the account book, “Then, I’ll still call you Your Royal Highness Yue Wang from now on.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 422

~ THE PLUMMETING SU FAMILY ~

Seeing that the Emperor was so angry that he couldn’t say a word, Grand Princess Yi De looked at Su Wenyuan and said, “Su Wenyuan. Although the Sixth Princess wants to marry into the Su family, the Su family must not go unpunished for making mistakes. The evidence of Lady Meng’s frame of murder is conclusive. The crime was really sinister, and her conduct was not fit to be a princess’ mother-in-law. Otherwise, if others were to say it out loud, it would make people laugh for no reason. Do you understand what I mean?”

Hearing the Grand Princess’s words, Su Wenyuan gritted his teeth and nodded, “Reporting to the Grand Princess, this humble subject understands.”

The Emperor took a few deep breaths before calming himself down, “The Grand Princess is right. For the sake of the Sixth Princess, I am giving your Su family face. Lady Meng may not be dealt with according to the law, but she can’t be the princess’ mother-in-law. In addition, you behave in an improper manner, so you will be punished as an Imperial Court official. From today onwards, you will be removed from the position of Minister of Public Officials and demoted to that of a bachelor’s degree in the Cabinet. If you do anything again, do not blame me for not showing any affection.”

Su Wenyuan trembled as he kowtowed to express his gratitude. “This humble subject thanks Your Majesty for his grace.” It doesn’t matter if he is demoted, as long as he could protect the Su family. He would definitely have the chance to make a comeback in the future.

“As for Jin Wang, put all your time into helping me with my errands. Don’t spend all your time thinking about anything else, just finish your duties in work department and don’t meddle in other matters in the Capital. Do you remember?”

Jin Wang quickly nodded, and his heart sank. After this matter, he was afraid that he would have to stay in the work department for a while. “Yes, this son will remember.”

“Yue Wang, you are not wrong. As a dignified prince, you barge into Imperial Court official’s residence openly. Although there is a reason for the incident, I can’t let you get away with it! The punishment is half a year’s pay and ten days of seclusion. Do you have any objections?”

“This son has no objections. Thank you for your tolerance, Imperial Father.”

“All of you can leave now. It’s so noisy. I really don’t like it.”

“Yes.”

After the crowd left, the Emperor rubbed his glabella tiredly. “All of these people do not allow me to have any peace of mind.”

“What you should worry about, you can’t escape no matter what. Now that it has been dealt with properly, you don’t need to take it to heart. The children and grandchildren have their own blessings. Everyone’s fortune is decided by the heavens, so just let them be.”

“I also can’t be bothered with them. It’s just that Huaiyang has fully disappointed me. I love her so much, but she is disobedient and rebelled against me because of a Su Qingwu....”

“Although Su Wenyuan is outrageous, but his son Su Qingwu seems to be pretty good. Otherwise, Huaiyang wouldn’t be so determined. Who knows, maybe the two will have a surprisingly good life in the future?”

“Sigh, since I have promised, I will grant her wish.”

“The Emperor should go and change his clothes. Didn’t Imperial Brother say that you was going to Yuhua Palace a meal? I think you have a bad appetite these past few days. Thus, I asked someone to specially prepared some medicinal food for you. Imperial Brother, you accompany me eat it.”

“Alright.”

After dinner, the brother and sister ad a good time. After finishing their meal, the brother and sister spoke in a quiet voice, “Imperial Brother, I’ve been back to the Palace for quite some time now. The princess’ estate has been empty the entire time, so I’ve decided to move out for a while.”

“Isn’t Yuhua Palacea good place to live? Why does the Imperial Elder Sister want to move out all of a sudden? Who dares to displease you?”

“The Palace has almost given me up, and no one has ever dared to come in front of me to look for trouble. I have not returned to the princess’s estate for many years. Since I’ve decided to stay in the Capital for a period of time, I should go back, take a look, help Xu Yan with incense sticks and wipe the memorial tablets.”

Hearing this, the Emperor knew that Princess Yi De had made up her mind. Fortunately, the princess’s estate wasn’t too far away from the Imperial Palace, and it was convenient to see her whenever he wanted to. “Well, I’ll have someone check it carefully. When will Imperial Elder Sister decide to move out?”

“It’s best to be early rather than late. I guess it’ll be in the next two days.”

“Are you in such a hurry? That’s fine too. I’ll get people to prepare them when you get back.”

Two days later, Grand Princess Yi De moved out of Yuhua Palace and entered the princess’s estate.

After carefully reading the drawings for two days, Mu Yunyao finally selected a garden. The garden wasn’t too big. It was just like the layout of her home in Jingling City. There are two courtyards in front and back. However, the front and back courtyard was much larger, and the scenery was quite beautiful. In particular, a large lotus pond has been dug out in the front yard. Right now is looking depressed in the winter. However, the lotus leaves and lotus trees are swayed in the summer. It’s beautiful just to think about it.

Mu Yunyao and Su Qing walked around the garden, feeling very satisfied. Mother Qu, who accompanied them, said hesitantly, “Madam, Miss, isn’t this garden a little too small?” She did not even notice when Yue Wang took away the drawing. She remembered that when she searched, she saw that the area of this garden was too small and directly screened it out.

“Mother and I only have two people, and this garden is not small either. The scenery here is also remarkably artistic, and the lotus pond is suitable for growing Cinnabar Osmanthus. When spring begins next year, if the Osmanthus from the Su family is still alive, we will move it out and plant here. When it comes to the golden autumn season, it will definitely be like a fairyland.”

“That’s fine too. This place is very close to the princess’s estate. Thus, it will be convenient for Madam and Miss whenever they want to go there.”

Su Qing smiled and nodded, “I’ll have to trouble Qu Mama to accompany us everywhere we go.”

“Madam, isn’t this duty of a servant? Being able to accompany Madam and Miss is a blessing in the life of a servant.”

After choosing this courtyard, Su Qing and Mu Yunyao planned to move out from Ni Yun Fang and not delay spreading the embroidery needle technique. After that, Ni Yun Fang would be in a state of chaos. So, it was indeed inconvenient for her and her mother to live there.

Within the Capital, many people were paying attention to the Su family and Mu Yunyao, who were both in the midst of rumors.

As everyone thought, although the Su family did not fall to the end because of the pleading of the Six Princesses, Su Wenyuan was demoted from a Second Rank Minister to a Fourth Rank Cabinet Attendant. The Old Madam was bedridden with illness and could not speak a word, and the most criticized Viper Lady, Lady Meng, felt that she had sinned deeply, so she actually asked to be abandoned. Although she was temporarily staying in the Su family, his status was still inferior to a concubine…

This time, it could be said that the Su family had suffered an enormous loss. If they did not have the chance to obtain credit in the future, it would be difficult to recover.

On the other hand, Su Qing and Mu Yunyao were out of everyone’s expectations. After the two of them left the Su family, they were not affected in the slightest, especially Mu Yunyao. Mu Yunyao was valued by Grand Princess Yi De. She personally admitted that she wanted to recognize Mu Yunyao as a granddaughter in the name of the lost daughter of Grand Princess Yi De. The overseer of the Imperial Court was already selecting the day. She was only waiting for the auspicious day when she could recognize Mu Yunyao as a relative. It could be said that he had ascended to the heavens in a single step.

In the past few days, there has been a lot of visitors to Cao Yunnian’s residence. They often mention Mu Yunyao in their words and have the intention of making friends with him.

After Cao Yunnian sent off a group of guests, he held Lady Jin’s hand and said emotionally: “It seems like Madam has good eyes. Not only did you acknowledge Yunyao as your adopted daughter, you even asked Yunyao to help named Zhiwen. As long as Mu Yunyao continues to walk with ease and smoothly, our son will be able to go much smoother just with this name alone.”

Lady Jin also sighed with great emotion, “When I first met Yunyao, I already felt that this girl was amazingly talented, and that her future was limitless. Who would have thought, in just a short period of time, she would actually soar into the sky, and we, who used to carry her in the past, can only look up to her now.”

“That’s right. It’s just a pity for the Su family. The Su family treated Su Qing and Yuyao poorly and even framed them time and time again. Otherwise, they would have been even more fascinated than us. Cao Yunnian patted Lady Jin’s hand. “Madam is still the best. Many colleagues outside now are all envious of my good luck being able to marry Madam. It isn’t like Su Wenyuan, who married Lady Meng, a troublemaker.”

A trace of shyness flashed across Lady Jin’s face. “What nonsense are you spouting outside? Old Master, please don’t take it to heart. It’s my good fortune to marry Old Master. On the other hand, Lady Meng had her title taken away by the Emperor and now was abandoned by Su Wenyuan. At this age, they were truly pitiful.”

“You can’t live by committing a crime, so she deserves it.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 421

~ PRESUMPTUOUS! ~

Seeing the smile on Grand Princess Yi De’s face, the Emperor couldn’t bear to refuse. “That’s fine too. After dealing with the current situation, I’ll have someone go to the overseer of the Imperial Court and tell him to find a good day personally.”

The smile on Grand Princess Yi De’s face intensified. “Alright, this matter is of great importance. The Imperial Court is currently discussing this matter internally and externally, so we must handle this matter with caution.”

“It just so happens that Imperial Elder Sister is here. You also can sit and listen. After settling the matters here, I will accompany Imperial Elder Sister to Yuhua Palace for dinner. How about it?”

“Sure.”

“Where did you guys say just now? Go on.”

Yue Wang opened his mouth to report: “Imperial Father, the Third Imperial Brother, said that this son was reckless and should wait for the archers to attack Miss Su and Miss Mu before killing them. This son disagree with that.”

Jin Wang’s expression changed. The Grand Princess Yi De had just mentioned that she wanted to acknowledge Mu Yunyao as her granddaughter. Now that Yue Wang had said those words, wouldn’t he be offending the Grand Princess? Since when did this taciturn Fourth Imperial Brother become an eyewitness?

“Father, This son definitely does not have that intention.”

“Well..” The Emperor was a bit impatient, “Lending the archers to the Su family is already exceptionally against the rules. Those people standing by the side with bows and arrows in their hands might seem like a threat in name, but in reality, who can tell if they will actually make a move? It was also reasonable for Junyue to order his men to kill them. There’s no need to keep pestering with this point.”

“Yes.” In the past, Imperial Father had always been remarkablydisdainful and indifferent towards Yue Wang. As long as he provoked him a little, Imperial Father would not question him about the reason at all and would directly order a punishment on him. But this time, he has actually helped him speak up. Could it be that the Grand Princess Yi De had secretly intervened for him?

The Emperor thought for a moment, then looked at Shen Binghuai, “Just now, I saw the case file you submitted, and it was quite clear. It is to be dealt with in accordance with the law, that is, stripping Lady Meng of her title as Eldest Lady. As for Su Wenyuan....”

Before the Emperor could finish his words, a loud noise came from the door.

“Imperial Father, I am Huaiyang. You let me in. I want request to see Imperial Father.”

“What’s going on?”

Xu Li hurriedly went to the door and checked, then he entered and reported, “Reporting to Your Majesty, the Sixth Princess requests an audience.”

“What is she doing here at this time? Let her go!”

At this time, the Sixth Princess had rushed in and felled to her knees with a plop. She then kowtowed to the Emperor and said, “Father, Lord Su is the Imperial Court official and has been working diligently for many years. Although this matter has been a bit inappropriate, the starting point was because he is worried about the Old Madam of the Su family. Moreover, Su Qing and Mu Yunyao were going to leave the Su family regardless of the serious illness of the old lady. This is not what a younger generation should do. Please, the Imperial Father, see this as a filial piety and give him a light punishment.”

“Huaiyang, you don’t have the right to speak here. Hurry up and leave!”

“Imperial Father, your daughter likes Su Qingwu. In this life, I will not marry anyone but him. Your daughter will enter the Su family in the future. You have severely punished Lord Su now, and how should your daughter deal with herself in the future?”

“Presumptuous!” The Emperor was furious. “Huai Yang, it seems like I have spoiled you so much that you don’t know what The importance of your words. You are my daughter, the princess of this dynasty. Is this what you should say?”

“Imperial Father, your daughter knows what she’s saying, and she also knows that these words are extremely shameless in the eyes of outsiders. But your daughter has taken a fancy to Su Qingwu and wants to marry him. If I can’t get what I want, then I’ll shave my head and become a nun. I’ll never marry anyone in my life!”

“How dare you! I think you are crazy!”

“Imperial Father, Su Qingwu is still your personal first rank Imperial Guard. He is still so young and ranked first amongst the young masters of various families in the Capital. It can be said that his future is unlimited. Both his identity and ability are worthy of your daughter. You can agree to let Fourth Imperial Brother like Mu Yunyao, a poor and humble person. Why can’t you allow me to marry Su Qingwu?”

The Grand Princess Yi De, who was seated at the side of the throne, initially had her eyes slightly lowered. After hearing the Sixth Princess’ words, she slowly raised her head, and her tone carried an indescribable coldness. “Huaiyang, marriage is not a child’s play. Women’s innocent reputation is beyond recognition.

Now you keep saying that you want to marry Su Qingwu. But even if you change your mind in the future, no son of any family in the entire Dali Dynasty will dare to marry you again. Have you thought about it?”

“Imperial Aunt, I’ve already made up my mind. In this life, I’m not going to marry anyone except Su Qingwu.”

“Did you know that Su Qingwu was engaged to Zhang Wan, the legitimate daughter of the Great Scholar’s residence? Currently, Zhang Wan has yet to recover from her severe injuries. If he were to destroy the marriage contract and instead marry you, that would be infidelity. If he really as good as you say, then he would definitely not agree to marry you. But you’ve said what you’re going to do. So how can he deal with this in the future?”

“Zhang Wan is very ill, Imperial Aunt. Furthermore, the doctor has diagnosed that her abdomen is injured, so we should also talk about whether she can have children in the future. I heard that she would go to the Su family to annul the engagement in the next two days. She took the initiative to give up her engagement, which has nothing to do with Qingwu.”

The Grand Princess Yi De chuckled softly, her phoenix eyes shining with indifference. “It seems like you’ve already planned everything out.”

“Yes, that’s why I’m asking for Imerial Father and Imperial Aunt’s consent.” Grand Princess Yi De held a great deal of importance in the heart of her father. As long as she said a good word or two, this matter might be settled.

“What if your Imperial Father doesn’t allow you to do so? What sort of situation can you reach for Su Qingwu?”

The Sixth Princess gritted her teeth. “If Imperial Father disagree, then I’ll just kneel here and not get up. If I can’t marry Su Qingwu, then there’s no meaning in me living any longer. I might as well just kneel here and die.”

The Emperor’s rage flared up. “Are you threatening me?”

“Imperial Father, how could your daughter dare to threaten you? Your daughter truly likes Su Qingwu, and that day at the hunting grounds, he rescued me from a wolf’s mouth, my clothes were destroyed, and I already had a physical relationship with him. If you disagree, then your daughter will never marry anyone else in her entire life.”

“You … You vile spawn, you’re the dignified Sixth Princess, my favorite daughter, yet you have no sense of shame. You’re really angering me to death....”

The Grand Princess Yi De retracted her gaze, sighed, and said, “They say the children are debts owed by their parents in their previous lives. Imperial Brother, don’t be angry. Huaiyang is unwavering in her determination to follow Su Qingwu. In that case, let her be fulfilled.”

The Six Princesses were overjoyed as she raised her head to look at the Emperor in anticipation, “Imperial father, your daughter is begging you. Please promise me.”

The Emperor let out a sigh. “With how things are, even if I don’t want you to marry Su Qingwu, there’s nothing that can be done. In addition, with Imperial Elder Sister’s persuasion, I’ll grant you your wish. I just hope you don’t regret it in the future.”

“Your daughter will definitely not regret it. Thank you for fulfilling my wish, Imperial Father.”

Su Wenyuan breathed a sigh of relief with a trace of happiness. As long as the Emperor was relieved, then the Su family would be saved. After all, they had to give a face to the Sixth Princess. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law should not be punished as soon as she married.

Incurable Chapter 39 Part 2

Chapter 39 (2/2)

Only Mu Wan and Gao Mei remained where they were.

Gao Mei stared after Mi Yu’s departing figure and gave a cold snort. “What is that supposed to mean? She invested in this herself, stole the role from Mu Qing, and made herself the female lead? If she had that kind of money, would she still be stuck playing second female leads all these years?”

Then she paused and looked back at Mu Wan. “Wait. Why did she come tell us that?”

Mu Wan’s wish from breakfast—that Mu Qing would not be the lead in the same production—had now come true.

But even so, the truth unfolding before her did not match her expectations at all.

She remembered the way Liu Qianxiu had looked at her that morning.

Now, given what had happened, perhaps she had guessed wrong. And yet there were too many coincidences.

A single coincidence is just a loose point. But when enough of them accumulate and start connecting, they form a picture.

Gao Mei was still trying to reason out how Mi Yu could possibly have gotten the role. In the end, she decided that Mi Yu must have been kept by some rich man, who then invested in the series and handed her the lead.

But even that theory did not fully convince her.

Why would Mi Yu risk offending Shen Entertainment’s golden boy by stealing a role from Shen Cheng’s girlfriend? A Thousand Threads of Snow was a good IP, yes—but not so good that it justified making an enemy of Shen Entertainment. If she ever lost her backer, the rest of her career would become extremely difficult.

While Gao Mei was still talking, a group of people emerged from the dressing room.

There were men and women in the group, some thin, some heavy, all clustering around one tall, slender woman in the middle.

Her makeup was already done, and her hair was styled, but she had not changed into costume yet. She stepped out wearing an expression so ugly it could barely be contained. Her bearing was still poised, but the anger rolling in her eyes could not be suppressed, leaving a dark shadow over her whole face.

The rest of the production did not yet know what had happened. But the way everyone surrounded her gave her the air of someone who had already been driven out.

Halfway through leaving, Mu Qing suddenly looked over.

Her gaze landed on Mu Wan, and a flash of hatred crossed her eyes.

She stared at her for a full two seconds. Then, as though realizing how badly she had lost control, she withdrew her gaze, turned, and walked away.

Gao Mei was already losing her mind.

“Oh my god. Oh my god. Did you see that? Mu Qing just glared at you. Why would she glare at you?”

Mu Wan lowered her eyes, her thoughts already racing far faster than Gao Mei’s words.

Why had Mu Qing glared at her?

Because Mu Qing knew.

Maybe not everything. But enough.

If Mi Yu really had replaced her because of Liu Qianxiu’s intervention, then from Mu Qing’s point of view, Mu Wan had not only refused to lower her head and beg—she had also somehow found backing stronger than Shen Cheng’s.

And that alone would be enough to drive Mu Qing mad.

A strange warmth rose slowly through Mu Wan’s chest.

It felt like standing at the edge of a long, dark corridor and finally seeing a light switch on at the far end.

She looked up.

The opening-ceremony platform had already been finished. Red cloth, incense table, flowers, fruit offerings. Beyond it, the sky stretched wide and bright, white with heat.

A few moments later, Mi Yu returned in costume.

She was now playing the female lead. That meant everything about the production had shifted around her. People moved with more care around her, spoke to her more gently, and even Director Li’s attitude toward her had changed.

This was what a lead role did.

Even if the role had come to her by way of someone else’s money, the reality it brought was still real.

Mi Yu’s gaze flicked once toward Mu Wan, then moved away again as though nothing had happened.

At that instant, Mu Wan understood something clearly:

Mi Yu had come to tell her on purpose.

Not because she wanted credit.

Because she wanted Mu Wan to know that someone had, in fact, moved for her.

Because under all the sharpness and pride and awkwardness, Mi Yu had a soft heart.

Gao Mei tugged hard at Mu Wan’s sleeve.

“Say something! What are you thinking?”

Mu Wan came back to herself and smiled.

“I’m thinking,” she said lightly, “that some people really are luckier than they think.”

Gao Mei stared at her in disbelief. “Your brain works differently from everyone else’s.”

Mu Wan only laughed.

Once the opening ceremony began, all stray conversation died down. Everyone filed into place according to rank. Since Mi Yu was now the female lead, her position moved to the center. Mu Wan, still only a supporting actress, remained far to one side.

But this time, she did not mind at all.

When the incense was offered, and the cameras flashed, when the official photos were taken, and the blessing speeches began, Mu Wan stood in her place and looked toward the center of the crowd.

Mi Yu’s face was calm and controlled.

From another angle, Director Li was smiling broadly.

The production manager was fussing over schedules.

The entire set had already adjusted to the new reality.

Only Mu Qing was gone.

That was the entertainment industry.

Resources, capital, substitution, reversal. Everything changed in a blink.

And for the first time, Mu Wan realized with complete clarity that she had not simply been lucky.

Something had changed because of Liu Qianxiu.

Not because he had said anything openly.

Not because he had explained anything.

But because every time she had been cornered recently, every time things had seemed to dead-end, some invisible force had quietly shifted the board.

And the only person connected to every one of those shifts was him.

By the time the ceremony ended and the actors dispersed to makeup and set calls, Mu Wan had still not fully digested the thought.

She changed into costume in a daze.

Her role today was a palace scene opposite Mi Yu. Once she was dressed and fully made up, Gao Mei came sneaking over from the neighboring set just to look at her.

“This role really suits you,” Gao Mei said, circling her once. “You look expensive.”

Mu Wan laughed. “I’ve always been expensive.”

“You’re shameless today too.”

“I’ve been in a good mood lately.”

Gao Mei narrowed her eyes. “This has something to do with your Taoist Liu, doesn’t it?”

The way she said “your Taoist Liu” was so natural that Mu Wan’s smile deepened on its own.

Before she could answer, someone from the production came hurrying over to call her to the set.

The palace set was indoors and cool enough, a welcome change from the boiling weather outside. By the time Mu Wan stepped into place and adjusted her sleeves, Mi Yu was already there.

They exchanged one look.

Nothing else.

Then the assistant director called positions, the clapper snapped, and the scene began.

Mu Wan entered the role at once.

The Empress she played was not loud or showy and did not need to fight for every bit of screen time. She only needed to stand there and let the audience feel her weight.

She had always been good at that—at turning herself invisible as a person and fully present as a role.

By the time the scene ended, Director Li looked unusually satisfied.

“Good,” he said. “Again from a second angle.”

There was praise in his tone, but more than that, certainty.

Mu Wan’s heart settled further.

This role was hers now. Solidly hers.

Not borrowed.

Not dangling.

Not waiting to be cut away.

And that feeling—of finally standing on ground that would not give way—made her chest ache with sudden emotion.

During a short reset between camera positions, she took out her phone.

There were no new messages.

She looked at Liu Qianxiu’s name for a moment, then typed:

Mu Wan: The opening ceremony went well.

She paused, then added another line:

Mu Wan: Thank you.

After sending it, she stared at the screen for a second and almost laughed at herself.

Thank you for what, exactly?

For being mysterious?

For saying nothing?

For quietly moving mountains behind the scenes and still letting her figure it out only halfway?

No proper girlfriend in the world was as vague as this.

A moment later, his reply came.

Taoist Liu: For what?

Mu Wan’s eyes curved at once.

There he was again—cool, reserved, pretending not to understand anything.

She typed back:

Mu Wan: For many things.

Then, after a beat:

Mu Wan: If I say it too clearly, won’t that ruin your small private pleasure?

This time, the typing indicator appeared almost immediately.

Taoist Liu: You know?

Mu Wan looked at those two words and, in the middle of the bustling set, nearly laughed out loud.

So she really had guessed right.

Her fingertips warmed against the phone.

Mu Wan: I only know a little. The rest, I’ll wait for you to tell me yourself.

After sending that, she locked the screen and tucked the phone away just as the assistant director called for a reset.

But from that moment on, through every line she delivered and every mark she hit, something bright remained lit inside her.

By the time filming wrapped for the day, the sun had already tilted west.

She changed out of costume, washed off her makeup, and stepped out into the golden evening.

The studio lot was still noisy and crowded. People ran in every direction, chasing scenes, chasing schedules, chasing the next role.

Mu Wan stood still for a moment in the middle of it all.

Then she took out her phone again and called Liu Qianxiu.

He picked up quickly.

“Finished?” he asked.

“Mm.” Mu Wan smiled and began walking toward the exit. The sunlight stretched her shadow long across the ground. “Liu Qianxiu...”

“Mm.”

Her heart was very full.

So full that it felt almost childish to say it aloud, and yet she wanted to say it anyway.

“I miss you,” she said.

There was a brief silence on the line.

Then his voice came low and clear, like wind moving through mountain pines.

“I’m waiting for you downstairs.”

Intense Love Chapter 124

~ HAPPY NEWLYWED ~

Su Jinbei discovered that Zhou Shiyun’s ability to act was surprisingly impressive. Two days ago, he said we were going to get married. Today, he took her to Beijing, brought the two hukou books, and drove to the Civil Affairs Bureau.

“I said… when did you get my hukou book?”

“Yesterday.” Zhou Shiyun glanced at her, “What do you think I’ve been waiting for the last couple of days? If I don’t need your family register book, we will register two days ago.”

Su Jinbei, “Where did you get it?”

“Auntie mailed it.”

The corner of Su Jinbei’s mouth twitched. It was really her mother’s good deed.

While the car was still driving, Su Jinbei sat on the co-pilot and began to panic inexplicably, “Hoo....”

“Are you nervous?” Zhou Shiyun heard her voice and turned to look at her.

Su Jinbei propped her head, “It’s all right.”

Zhou Shiyun smiled, “We will get the certificate first. The wedding ceremony has been prepared by the family. In addition to the traditional Chinese wedding of the Zhou family, what else do you want?”

Su Jinbei thought, “I want to wear a white wedding dress and be in church.”

“Alright.”

“Well… I also want to go to the beach.”

“Okay.”

“Foreign castles are not bad too. They are pretty girly.”

“Yes.”

Su Jinbei glanced at him, “You can do anything.”

Zhou Shiyun curled his lips, “You can do whatever you want.”

The car stopped beside the Civil Affairs Bureau, and Zhou Shiyun got off with Su Zhenbei.

Many people are in the hall today, and a few couples are waiting in the corridor.

Wearing sunglasses, Su Jinbei walked in quietly, held Zhou Shiyun’s hand, and the two found a corner to sit down.

“Hey, you guys come to get married today too.” Suddenly, someone behind her patted Su Jinbei on the shoulder. Su Jinbei turned around, looked, and said politely, “Yes.”

The girl in this couple was so lively. After hearing Su Jinbei’s reply, she said, “My mother said today is a good day, so I dragged my boyfriend here. Ah, by the way, who did you get married to?”

Su Jinbei pointed to Zhou Shiyun.

The girl looked at Zhou Shiyun’s profile, “Oh…Your boyfriend is so handsome.”

After that, she turned around and looked at the man beside her, dissatisfied, “Look at you. I have to mention marriage first. People are so handsome, yet he knows to propose.”

The boy gave her a sideways look, “That other girlfriend is also pretty.”

“Roar, you mean I’m not pretty anymore?”

The boy chuckled softly, “You are beautiful, the most beautiful in my heart.”

“That’s pretty much the same.”

After the girl said that, she looked at Su Jinbei, “Hey, I found you are a bit familiar.”

Su Jinbei was wearing sunglasses, and the girl was so excited that she didn’t recognize her. Now, she calmed down and realized that Su Jinbei was a familiar face.

“Ah!” The girl exclaimed suddenly, “You are Su Jinbei! Are you Su Jinbei?”

When the girl shouted, everyone around looked over. Su Jinbei Qing coughed and nodded silently.

“It’s really Su Jinbei! Are you getting married today? God, I was married together with Su Jinbei!” The girl quickly handed the phone to her boyfriend, “Hurry up and take a picture for me.”

The girl and others also picked up their phones to take pictures.

“Let’s go and fill out the form.” Zhou Shiyun completely ignored the crowd and took Su Jinbei toward the front. Behind them, a group of people was still in shock. How lucky they are to be able to witness the two of them!

Everyone was excited and posted the photos to Weibo and Moments.

So … when Su Jinbei and Zhou Shiyun had gone through all the formalities and officially came out as husband and wife, a large group of reporters gathered outside.

“Jinbei, are you officially married now? How do you feel?”

“When are you going to have a baby?”

“Where will the wedding be held?”

“Is it an early decision to get married today, or is it a whim?”

Flashes flooded from all directions as Zhou Shiyun held Su Jinbei’s shoulder, “Trouble, please give us the way. ”

“Mr. Zhou, did you propose to Jinbei?”

Zhou Shiyun paused and looked at the camera, “Yes.”

Su Jinbei was stunned. She didn’t expect Zhou Shiyun to be willing to speak to the reporter today. It seems that he is really in a good mood.

The reporters were excited when they saw that he was willing to speak. “You mentioned in the live broadcast that you are her fiancé. Then, when did the relationship develop from boyfriend and girlfriend to a fiancé?”

“Boyfriend and girlfriend?” Zhou Shiyun thought, “We have never had this relationship. It was an unmarried couple relationship from when we knew each other.”

The reporters were taken aback, “Do you mean that the family determines the marriage?”

“Yes.”

“Then you have a real relationship? Or is it just a convenient marriage relationship?” The reporter asked sharply, but Zhou Shiyun said without delay, “I have never been so grateful for this decision made by my family.”

Zhou Shiyun looked at Su Jinbei, “Because of this, I can watch her grow up, walk to my side, and hold my hand.”

Su Jinbei’s eyes flickered slightly, and only listened to Zhou Shiyun’s gentle words, “I love her, nothing else. It’s just because she is Su Jinbei.”

Hot search on Weibo.

#Su Jinbei Marriage#

In the first article of the hot search, a well-known blogger released an interview video at the door of the Civil Affairs Bureau with the text: I also want a boyfriend who has been waiting for me for more than 20 years!

Later, Su Jinbei reposted this on Weibo for the first time and attached a selfie of Zhou Shiyun with her (it can be seen from the photo that the man is not very happy to take this kind of selfie with rabbit ears). Su Jinbei attached it with the text: “After wandering for over 20 years, I was finally taken back by my baby Zhou. ~~”

Netizen comments:

“Fuck, this pair is so explosive! A romantic novel in reality!”

“Baby Zhou? Baby Zhou! Please give me a baby Zhou, too!”

“Ahhhh, baby Zhou! he is so handsome!”

“I love her, nothing else. It’s just because she is Su Jinbei??? Fall! I’m full of dog food. (indifferent face

“Blessings and blessings.”

Weibo exploded because of Su Jinbei’s marriage. In Zhou’s courtyard, Su Jinbei held Wutong lazily as she leaned on Zhou Shiyun’s arms, “I posted on Weibo just now, and everyone said you are handsome.”

Zhou Shiyun said, “What else?”

“There is also a blessing.” Su Jinbei smiled and said, “Congratulations, you have become my Mr. Zhou.”

Zhou Shiyun slightly curled his lips and said, “Mrs. Zhou, congratulations too.”

“Happy newlywed.”

The author has something to say: This is theend, the next is few extras.
The baby is coming, is coming!!!!! !Guess what kind of father Baby Zhou would be...

Incurable Chapter 39 Part 1

Chapter 39 (1/2)

Because Liu Qianxiu rose early for his morning meditation, he was usually awake a little after six. Mu Wan slept later. By the time she finally rubbed her eyes and wandered out of bed, still drowsy, breakfast would already be ready, and she would shuffle into the kitchen looking for him.

That morning, breakfast was sandwiches and juice, set neatly on the table. Liu Qianxiu was standing at the sink washing his hands when, a moment later, a warm body drifted over and leaned against him.

She was much shorter than he was. Her face rested right between his shoulder blades, and she rubbed her cheek there twice, softly, lazily. Liu Qianxiu turned off the faucet, dried his hands with a paper towel, turned, and kissed her at the temple.

Even in the height of summer, mornings still smelled fresh.

Satisfied with the kiss, Mu Wan smiled. Only then did she properly open her eyes and slip both arms around him.

“You’re up early today,” Liu Qianxiu said, glancing at the time.

Mu Wan clung to him, barefoot, her feet planted on top of his. She had no intention of moving. So he simply wrapped an arm around her and lifted her whole body up.

This was not the first time they had done this. The instant Liu Qianxiu moved, Mu Wan understood, and as he picked her up, she automatically hooked both legs around his waist. Just like that, he carried her over and set her down on one of the tall stools by the dining table.

“There’s a launch ceremony today,” Mu Wan said, biting into her sandwich and chewing in small, neat bites. “For that series I told you about before—A Thousand Threads of Snow.”

The Empress’s role in that production was the best role Mu Wan had gotten in years, and she was genuinely happy about it. But the thought of seeing Mu Qing again as soon as she got to the set made her feelings turn complicated.

Mu Qing had not withdrawn from the production. She was still in it and still the lead. There was no way they would not run into each other at the opening ceremony today. Still, Mu Wan did not want anyone to know about her connection to the Mu family, so with that many people around, Mu Qing probably would not say anything too pointed in public, as she had before.

Mu Wan took a sip of juice and looked at Liu Qianxiu. Then she remembered that earlier scene in the alley at the film base, when she had run into Mu Qing.

That had been the first time Mu Qing had ever taken the initiative to speak to her. What she had said had been unpleasant, but Mu Wan had heard worse and forgotten it. Still, now that she thought about it carefully, Mu Qing had always played the dignified, untouchable orchid. So why had she lost her composure over Mu Wan getting the Empress role in A Thousand Threads of Snow?

Clearly, she had not wanted Mu Wan in that part. Shen Entertainment was one of the primary investors in the series. If Mu Qing had really wanted her out, then by all logic, she should never have gotten the role at all.

When people are living inside an event, they often miss what is wrong with it. Only after stepping out of it and replaying it in memory do the odd details start to surface.

She thought of Mei Yaozhi again.

Liu Qianxiu was eating. Sensing her stare, he looked up at her once. Her eyes were bright and alert, clearly turning something over in her mind.

“You’re unhappy?” he asked quietly after taking a sip of juice.

“Not exactly.” Mu Wan came back to herself. She lowered her head a little. “I am happy. It’s just... I suddenly remembered that Mu Qing is the lead in this one.”

Mu Wan had never really spoken to Liu Qianxiu about the Mu family before. He looked at her in silence, and she gave a small smile and summarized it simply.

“She’s sort of my cousin. We’re around the same age. Ever since we were kids, there was nothing she could beat me at. I moved out of the Mu family house once I came of age, and I’ve had nothing to do with them since. But she entered the entertainment industry recently, and her boyfriend is Shen Cheng from Shen Entertainment. Her resources have always been good. Mine were fine too, until out of nowhere she started targeting me. Last week I had no work at all because she had my scenes cut. I still don’t know why I suddenly started working again this week—she was furious about it. A few days ago when I ran into her, she even implied I was being kept. That’s why I told you before not to believe anything messy you might hear.”

She looked at him and went on, more lightly, “At the time I was just thinking that as long as I still had work, that was enough, so I didn’t think too much about it. And I assumed the whole ‘kept woman’ thing was just her way of smearing me. But these last few days... nothing has actually happened.”

She paused, then added, “Now that I think back on it, quite a few things have felt off lately. Don’t you think?”

She bit into her sandwich and waited for his answer.

Liu Qianxiu’s expression did not change. He looked at her quietly once and asked, “So what do you think?”

“I’m not really sure,” Mu Wan said with a laugh, shaking her head. “But if I have to be in the same production as Mu Qing, and she’s the lead while I’m the supporting role, she’s definitely going to make things difficult for me. Still, even if she does, I’m going to act in it. I really like this role.”

Then she paused and said, “It would’ve been better if the lead had still been Tang Qin. She doesn’t know me. She wouldn’t have tried to trip me up.”

She said it with a smile. There was trouble in her eyes, but hope too. But once she finished saying it, she seemed to let it go. She was not asking Liu Qianxiu to solve anything for her. She was only telling him her frustrations and voicing a small wish.

Nothing more ordinary than that.

Liu Qianxiu looked at her quietly, as if he had seen nothing in her words—or as if he had seen everything. Then he glanced at the plate by her hand and said, “Finish eating.”

“Oh.” Mu Wan lowered her head and obediently kept eating.

After breakfast, Liu Qianxiu left for work, and Mu Wan took a taxi to the film base.

The opening ceremony for A Thousand Threads of Snow was still being set up. She was only a supporting actress, and if she had not had scenes to shoot today, she would not even have needed to come. Since she was there, she lent a hand where she could. The platform for the ceremony still needed to be arranged. Once that was ready, the actors would do makeup and then come over for the incense offering.

The leads had not yet arrived.

Once she finished helping, Mu Wan sat to the side and reviewed her script. She had important scenes to shoot that day. She could not afford to be careless.

Gao Mei was shooting in the neighboring production. She happened to be waiting on her own scene, so she wandered over to find Mu Wan.

“How do you have time to come over? Where’s little brother Li Cheng?” Mu Wan teased, smiling as she closed her script.

The night before, Gao Mei had bombarded her nonstop with photos of Li Cheng. At first, Mu Wan had indulged her. By eight or nine, Gao Mei had finally burned herself out.

“He doesn’t have any scenes today.” Gao Mei wore the tragic expression of someone in romantic mourning. She waddled over and sat beside Mu Wan, taking the script from her hands. “You really got it. I’m so jealous. You actually get to play the roles you want.”

It was Gao Mei who had recommended the original novel to her in the first place, and Mu Wan had said back then that she loved the Empress role. Getting cast now felt like a dream coming true by another route.

After Gao Mei said that, Mu Wan looked up toward the dressing-room area. People were moving in and out. It was busy, but outwardly calm. Nothing seemed to be happening.

“What role do you want?” Mu Wan turned back and continued chatting.

“Li Cheng’s goddess,” Gao Mei said.

Mu Wan looked at her in silence.

Gao Mei started laughing at her own answer. “A person has to have dreams, okay? Maybe one day I’ll be rich enough to invest in a drama myself. Then I’ll play the heroine and Li Cheng will play the hero.”

Before Mu Wan could answer, someone walked over.

Both women lifted their eyes. Mi Yu stood there in full makeup, a cigarette between her fingers.

She was playing a concubine in the series, one whose character blackened later in the story. Her makeup was therefore unusually striking. Dressed in full Hanfu with a woman’s cigarette in hand, she gave off a sharp, glamorous aura.

As she approached, it seemed she had caught the last part of their conversation. Elegant fingers holding the slim cigarette, red lips parting as she blew out a ribbon of smoke, she joined in as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

“If you were rich enough to invest in your own movie, you still wouldn’t get to play the heroine,” Mi Yu said. Then she gave Gao Mei’s figure a quick once-over. “Even if you wanted to, the other investors wouldn’t agree. They still need to make money.”

Gao Mei flushed instantly and got to her feet.

They were not from the same company. Mu Wan had told Gao Mei before that Mi Yu only looked difficult, but was actually a decent person underneath. Even so, Gao Mei remained faithful to first impressions.

Mi Yu watched her puffed-up, offended expression and curved her red lips into a faint smile. “If it’s your own money, then that production is yours. Who lives or dies in the cast would be entirely up to you.”

As soon as she finished speaking, the sound of something being smashed came from the dressing-room area.

Gao Mei forgot she was angry. Curiosity took over, and she turned to look. Mu Wan lifted her gaze too, and when she did, she glanced at Mi Yu.

Mi Yu was already looking at her.

One of Mu Wan’s brows rose.

Mi Yu’s expression was unreadable. She stubbed out the cigarette and said to Mu Wan, “Mu Qing’s been pulled. The production changed the female lead at the last minute. I’m taking the role.”

Then she turned and left.

Intense Love Chapter 123

~ LET’S GET MARRIED ~

Su Jinbei returned to the crew the next day, and Zhou Shiyun sent her there. Before leaving, he remembered to discuss with Shen Qingzhou the safety of actresses.

“Director Shen, it’s too dangerous. Please use a double.”

Shen Qingzhou said, “There is a double, but yesterday was a close shot, so there’s no way, and I can’t help it.” Shen Qingzhou deliberately added, “There are many close shots during this period.”

Zhou Shiyun’s face turned black, and he said resolutely, “What if I break the contract.”

Shen Qingzhou frowned and said, “Do you think Su Jinbei will be willing to breach the contract?”

“I have the patience to grind to her willingness.”

Shen Qingzhou stared at him, his face getting colder.

The two icebergs stood against each other, and the air was blazing.

Yu Wanqing coughed and hurriedly stepped forward, “Mr. Zhou, what happened yesterday was indeed a mistake of our crew, and we will be responsible. I promise. I promise that this kind of thing will not happen next time. The safety measures will definitely be taken very, very well.

Yu Wanqing kindly persuaded Zhou Shiyun, and his expression became ease.

Yu Wanqing continued, “Don’t listen to Shen Qingzhou’s nonsense. There have been many close shots recently, but there are no dangerous moves anymore.”

Shen Qingzhou said coldly, “If I say there are, it can have it.”

“Shen Qingzhou!”

After being yelled at by Yu Wanqing, Shen Qingzhou pursed his lips and quietly turned his head to look at the monitor.

Yu Wanqing coughed, “Mr. Zhou, we need Jinbei very much. I am a screenwriter, so I understand what will happen soon. There is really no danger.”

Zhou Shiyun glanced at Shen Qingzhou.

Yu Wanqing understood and hurriedly said, “He will also have to listen to me. The script will not be changed at will, so don’t worry.”

Zhou Shiyun nodded slightly toward Yu Wanqing, turned around, and went out.

When Zhou Shiyun left, Yu Wanqing patted Shen Qingzhou on the shoulder, “What are you doing? Why are you scaring others?”

Shen Qingzhou snorted, “He wants to fool Su Jinbei into a breach of contract.”

Yu Wanqing, “That person also cares about whether his girlfriend is good. What do you want to do if I do the same?”

Shen Qingzhou glanced at her, “You are not an actress.”

“I said if.”

Shen Qingzhou subconsciously said, “I’m afraid I’ll let you do something so dangerous.”

Yu Wanqing shrugged, so … comparing heart to heart.

After three months of filming, Su Jinbei returned to Zhou Shiyun’s home.

This time, she returned early, so Zhou Shiyun still didn’t know she had arrived. When Su Jinbei arrived at his home, it was around nine o’clock, and Zhou Shiyun was hospitalized. She was a little tired, so she slept comfortably first.

She woke up after two o’clock in the afternoon. After waking up, Su Jinbei asked Hei Di to send her car over, and she drove to the hospital by herself.

Su Jinbei wanted to give Zhou Shiyun a surprise. Therefore, she first visited Lin Qingwei and asked him where he was.

Lin Qingwei didn’t look very good today. When he saw Su Jinbei, he smiled reluctantly, “Are you looking for Senior Brother.”

“En.” Su Jinbei nodded and asked with some confusion, “What’s the matter with you?”

Lin Qingwei sighed, “The grandma in bed three passed away yesterday. Grandma has lived in our hospital for a long time. She really likes to joke and is very nice to our group of doctors and nurses.”

Lin Qingwei paused and said, “Grandma passed away yesterday, and today is Grandpa… Grandpa and Grandma have a wonderful relationship. Our big guy said they always spread dog food for us.”

Su Jinbei asked, “What happened to Grandpa?”

“Committed suicide.”

Su Jinbei was taken aback.

Lin Qingwei said, “There is real love in this world. It is so deep that the other party does not know how to live when one party is dead.”

“Jinbei, if you want to find Senior Brother, I think he should be in the grandma’s ward, Room 405. Senior Brother is Grandma’s attending doctor, and Grandma usually has the best relationship with Senior Brother. This time, Grandma passed away, and Grandpa also left. I estimated that Senior Brother does not feel very pleasant either.”

Su Jinbei thanked him and hurried upstairs.

Before leaving, she heard Lin Qingwei muttering to himself, “Who said the doctor can see through life and death....”

When she walked, Su Jinbei also ran into several doctors who had previously visited the mountainous area. She greeted them and went to Ward 405. She pushed the door in and saw Zhou Shiyun sitting by the bed at a glance.

He looked out the window with silence in his eyes.

Su Jinbei closed the door and approached him.

Zhou Shiyun was really distracted. He didn’t even realize the movement she made. Not until Su Jinbei walked up to him and patted his shoulder that Zhou Shiyun returned to his senses.

He looked up and saw her, somewhat surprised, “Why are you here.”

Su Jinbei smiled, “I am a day early. I am anxious to come back to see you.”

Zhou Shiyun’s lips slightly twitched, and he stretched out his hand to hold her hand.

Su Jinbei stood before him and said in a low voice, “I have heard from Xiaowei that grandma in this ward has passed away.”

“Yes.”

“Don’t be sad.”

Zhou Shiyun shook his head, “There will always be death. She…her life is not in vain.”

Su Jinbei nodded and said with emotion, “That grandpa loves grandma. Otherwise, he wouldn’t die to this point.”

Zhou Shiyun did not speak. He still remembered what Grandpa said when Grandma passed away last night. He said that he regretted that he hadn’t met her earlier.

When Grandpa said these words, the whole person was empty. He kept repeating and chanting Grandma’s name. Later … there was no more.

Zhou Shiyun squeezed Su Jinbei’s hand tightly, “I regret it.”

Su Jinbei said, “What?”

“From the day you were born, I should take the initiative to see you.” Zhou Shiyun’s eyes were deep, “I wasted more than 20 years.” Su Jinbei was stunned and couldn’t help but raise the corners of her mouth, “It’s not too late now. We will always meet.”

“Su Jinbei.”

“Yes?”

“Let’s get married.” Zhou Shiyun got up and suddenly leaned over to hug her. He whispered, “I don’t want to waste it longer.”
