It was not easy to soften Liu Qianxiu. When he left the basketball court, it was already dark. Mu Wan was a little exhausted, and she slept all the way. Halfway, Liu Qianxiu went to the supermarket to buy groceries, but she didn’t have the energy to keep up. When she got home, her fatigue eased a little, but her body seemed to fall apart, making her whole being lazy.
After arriving home, Liu Qianxiu took the vegetables to the kitchen. Mu Wan listened to the cat’s meowing and went to the cat room to feed them.
More than two months have passed, and the bodies of the three little ones are getting bigger, with fluffy fur and a round stomach. Under the light, they are like tiny exploding furballs, round, innocent, and cute. After they were full, Mu Wan took the cat stick and sat on the carpet to play with them.
The kittens love to play, and the three little furballs scrambled to catch the funny cat sticks as they danced. The kitten had fun while Zhou Yi, next to her, was lying on the cat climbing frame, watching lazily.
It was past seven o’clock now. Mu Wan turned her head and looked out the window. At the beginning of the lantern festival, a bright moon hung in the sky. Accompanied by the kitten meowing, the atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful.
Life seems to have returned to its former appearance, plain, warm, and fulfilling.
The stars flickered as Mu Wan recalled the bit by bit with Liu Qianxiu over the past few days, and the heartbeat that was initially suspended gradually calmed down. How real life is now, as long as Liu Qianxiu is still by her side, she doesn’t need to be afraid.
After teasing the three little ones for a while, the kittens gradually got tired, some crawled to drink milk, and some went to sleep curled up in the cat nest. There was no more cat meowing, and only the bell on the cat-friendly stick was ringing in the room.
Mu Wan got up and went to the kitchen to find Liu Qianxiu.
As soon as she entered the kitchen, Mu Wan smelled the aroma of the food. There were already three dishes and one soup on the table, which she ordered before returning from the basketball court.
Liu Qianxiu finished cooking and washed his hands now. He stood by the sink, tall and lean, with a clear and beautiful back. At this time, the water from the faucet was flowing quietly. One of his bony hands was washed, while the other held his mobile phone as he talked on the phone.
The water sound was quiet and steady, like a dull drum beat, passing through the weeds bit by bit.
“Well, good.” Finally, the drumbeat stopped as he hung up the call and turned off the faucet. There was no sound in the kitchen anymore. Li Qianxiu raised his eyes, looked out the window, and thousands of lights were lit.
Liu Qianxiu looked up, Mu Wan stood beside him as she sized up at him, and her ink-splashed eyes reflected a refined light. He pressed his hands on the kitchen counter next to her, lowered his head, and then kissed the corner of her lips.
Mu Wan came over because she wanted to hear what he said on the phone. She listened too carefully, so she didn’t have the strength to guard against his kiss. As soon as her lips softened, Liu Qianxiu’s clear breath penetrated. She suddenly regained her senses and raised her eyes to meet Liu Qianxiu’s eyes.
“Are there any jobs?” She eavesdropped intermittently. It’s not even eavesdropping. She listened very openly, so now she could talk to him about the call.
“Well, something happened.” Liu Qianxiu took her hand, turned on the faucet, lowered his eyes, and began to wash her hands.
While Liu Qianxiu washed her hands, Mu Wan asked, “Are you going to Austria?”
“Yes.”
The cold water washed through her palms and fingers. Mu Wan regained her sense a little bit. She lowered her eyes to look at the bubbles in her hands and said faintly. “Oh.”
She didn’t say any more, and he couldn’t see anything in her tone or expression.
After rinsing her hands clean, Liu Qianxiu turned off the faucet and said calmly, “You also come with me.”
Mu Wan’s thin fingers still dropped with water as she looked up at Liu Qianxiu. He looked calm, and after pulling a tissue, he wrapped her palm in his palm and wiped her hand clean slowly.
After wiping it clean, Liu Qianxiu clasped her fingers together, looked down at her, and said in a deep voice, “I will take you wherever I from now on. I will never lie to you again, and I will never leave you again.”
Liu Qianxiu has always had a way of talking about love.
