Intens Love Chapter 108

~ I CAN HELP YOU ~

No matter how she hooked him up in the past few days, he was not indulging her like the first night. Su Jinbei was puzzled. What happened? What’s wrong? Could it be said that her baby Zhou will return to the ranks of abstinence men?

Zhou Shiyun slightly distanced himself and said in a low voice, “Don’t make trouble.”

“I didn’t make trouble,” Su Jinbei putting her hand on the back of his neck, “Zhou Shiyun, do you want to kiss me now?”

“......”

The two of them were very close together. Su Jinbei’s faint fragrance gently wrapped around him. It was charming, bewitching ... Zhou Shiyun’s hands gradually tightened behind her. He sighed in his heart that this woman must be a demon. Evil.

He lowered his head, bit her lip, put his hand around her waist, and lifted her onto the table. Because of this position, he can kiss her more conveniently.

Su Jinbei gave a triumphant smile on her lip. Baby Zhou, I won’t let you become a monk.

After kissing and kissing, Su Jinbei suddenly felt that Zhou Shiyun’s kissing skills seemed to develop in a straight path, becoming more profound and more provocative every time.

He bit her earlobe, and the heat blew lightly on her ear. As if deliberately torturing her, he kisses her back and forth in this position. Her ears turned from white to pink and from pink to red. Su Jinbei bit his lip, and the broken moan slowly overflowed out.

The room was so quiet, with soft sunlight coming in from outside the window, the warm light pouring on this couple of men and women.

Su Jinbei leaned on his shoulder and felt his hand tormenting her slowly. Her hand gripped his clothes tightly and pounded with the stimulation of bone erosion.

“Ah...” The most exciting feeling surged over me. Su Jinbei was suddenly stunned, and her whole body trembled uncontrollably.

Zhou Shiyun extended his hand and touched her face affectionately while Su Jinbei raised her eyes to look at him.

Su Jinbei’s face was blushing, and her mouth was slightly open due to her light panting, so her pink tongue was showing. Zhou Shiyun squinted his eyes and felt like he had fallen into a fire cellar. She probably didn’t know how attractive she was when she looked like this.

But ... he can’t fool around anymore.

“Put your clothes on.” Zhou Shiyun said in a hoarse voice.

Su Jinbei was taken aback, “Huh?”

Zhou Shiyun had already reacted long ago. How could Su Jinbei not know?

“Jinbei, the first time I was impulsive.” Zhou Shiyun frowned slightly, “There is no condom here, so it is unsafe.”

Su Jinbei felt a burst of sweetness in her heart after hearing this. It turned out that it was because of her ...

“Don’t go.” Just as Zhou Shiyun wanted to turn around, Su Jinbei stretched out her hand to hold him, lowered his head, and said slowly, “I can help you.”

Zhou Shiyun paused.

Su Jinbei resolutely repeated again, “I can help you.”

As she said this, she shook her hand lightly and stretched to reach down...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They will go back tomorrow, so everyone is packing up now.

Su Jinbei sat on the chair in the room and watched everyone pack the medical equipment. Initially, she wanted to help, but she was turned down...

“Jinbei, I am so happy to go back.” Lin Qingwei said with a smile, “There is no network here. The lack of internet here should drive you crazy.”

Su Jinbei curled her lips. She grinned, and her eyes fell on Zhou Shiyun in the distance, “It’s strange. I actually think I’m fine without the internet.”

Lin Qingwei followed her gaze and felt he had been fed a handful of dog food again. “Because Senior Brother is here, you think you don’t feel bored at all, right?”

Su Jinbei looked at him, “Smart.”

Lin Qingwei shook his head, “To be honest, I admire you very much. You could say that Senior Brother is so rigid and boring. How can you get along with him?”

Su Jinbei smiled strangely, “Xiao Wei, he is rigid and boring all in front of you, but in front of me, he is not like that.”

Lin Wei paused, “Ah ...... what’s he like? Share it with me?”

Su Jinbei looked at him disgustingly, “Are you kidding? It can only be known by the two of us.”

Lin Qingwei, “Hey, I don’t know that you like this!”

“Darling, if you want to know how sweet he is, you can find your girlfriend to experience it.”

Lin Qingwei, “...”

You just know how to bully single dogs!

The next day, everyone was ready to go.

“Shiyun, Jinbei, come and play here again if you have time.” Zhang Chao said as he hugged them.

“Okay, Doctor Zhang. You can also bring Xiao Yuan to see us.”

“Fine.”

“Xiao Yuan, be obedient in the future.” Su Jinbei bent over and touched Xiao Yuan’s head.

Xiao Yuan reluctantly held Su Jinbei’s hand and said, “Sister Jinbei, you can’t forget Xiao Yuan.”

“Of course, how could I forget you.”

Xiao Yuan sniffed, and his big black eyes were red. Liu Tingting on the side is similar. After these days, she also developed a revolutionary friendship with Su Jinbei. She wouldn’t have spoken about her feelings to Zhang Chao if it weren't for her.

Su Jinbei looked at Liu Tingting as she was about to cry and said quickly, “Eh, eh, don’t you cry, or I would be so sad.”

“Jingbei, I...”

“I know, I know, Tingting. I’m reluctant to part with you either.”

Liu Tingting heard it, so her eyes reddened.

Incurable Chapter 33 Part 1

Chapter 33 (1/2)

He was not lying.

She could feel his hardness. He could not help wanting to be close to her. And the reason he had to endure it, in the end, was still because of her.

It was a loop—back and forth, round and round—only to arrive again at the same unsolved place.

If it were ever to be untied, it could only happen after they went back down the mountain.

They did not leave the mountain together.

After the rain stopped, Mu Wan returned to Qingyuan Temple with Liu Qianxiu. The moment they arrived, she received a call from Li Nan.

Last month, Gao Mei had recommended a drama to her. There had been one role in it that Mu Wan liked quite a lot, so she had asked Li Nan to keep an eye on it. This month, production officially entered preparation. The leads had already been finalized, and Mi Yu had accepted the role of second female lead.

There was a production dinner tonight. Li Nan wanted Mi Yu to bring Mu Wan along. If the director took a liking to her, getting that role would not be difficult. After all, the supporting cast still had not been finalized.

“Where are you right now?” Li Nan asked.

“Out of town,” Mu Wan replied.

“You need to come back,” Li Nan said. “You don’t have any work lined up after this, and this is a project you actually like. Be at the Tilting Nest production office before five. At eight, Mi Yu will take you with her to Qinghu Business Club.”

The mountain had just been washed by rain. Distant peaks still wore a veil of mist, blurred and dreamlike. Yet standing high above them all, one still felt that expansive clarity that came with seeing the mountains beneath one’s feet.

Mu Wan took a breath and said, “Got it.”

After hanging up, she stepped back into the temple grounds.

At the side hall entrance, Liu Qianxiu was leading the just-awakened Qingchan by the hand. One large figure, one small. Both turned to look at her.

Meeting Liu Qianxiu’s gaze, Mu Wan said, “I need to go back first.”

In truth, she did not want to part from him. But she could not let Mu Qing ruin her career this easily. If the roles already set for her had all been stripped away, then she could only start again with the roles that had not yet been cast.

“Are you leaving, Sister?” Qingchan asked, looking reluctant.

“Yes,” Mu Wan answered. “Sister has to go back and deal with work.”

Liu Qianxiu pressed his lips together slightly and looked at her for a long moment.

“I’ll take you,” he said.

Since Qingchan could not be left alone in the temple, Liu Qianxiu simply brought him along as well.

He drove Mu Wan back to the film base, then took Qingchan and returned to Qingyuan Temple.

The film base felt hotter than the mountain, even after the rain—stuffy in that sealed-in, airless way that made one irritable. Stepping back into it after her time at the temple, Mu Wan heard once again the noisy bustle of filming and somehow felt as if she had crossed into another life.

Mi Yu was currently filming a Republican-era drama called Tilting Nest. She had taken many projects this year. She had only just turned thirty-two a few days ago, and with her prime already beginning to shorten, she was still trying to make one final push—one last gamble on becoming truly famous.

Mu Wan had also originally been in Tilting Nest. Had her scenes not been cut, she would have been on set right now as well.

There were familiar faces in the production crew. Mu Wan greeted them one by one before making her way to Mi Yu.

Mi Yu was reading through her script. The corner of her eye flicked up when she saw Mu Wan approach, then her attention went right back to the pages in her hand.

When Mu Wan stopped beside her, Mi Yu caught a faint sandalwood scent drifting from her—clear, cooling, the kind that seemed to settle the mind.

“Did you go to a temple?” she asked. Compared with Taoism, Buddhism had a much deeper everyday presence in modern society.

Li Nan was not around. Mu Wan sat down beside Mi Yu and shook her head.

“No. I went to a Taoist temple.”

“You do have an easy life,” Mi Yu said with a half-laugh, her tone hard to read.

Even so, Mu Wan knew there was no mockery in it.

Mi Yu’s temper was not great, but she was not a bad person. If anything, she was all sharp tongue and soft heart. She could be merciless with her words, but so long as she had secured a role, she would usually help bring along junior artists from the same company if she could. A large share of Mu Wan’s acting jobs had come from Mi Yu taking her along.

Mi Yu hated being overshadowed. Mu Wan only wanted good supporting roles. Somehow, the two of them had reached a strange but workable balance.

Since Mu Wan had nothing else to do just then, she lifted her eyes to the script in Mi Yu’s hands and asked, “Want to run lines?”

Mi Yu glanced at her. After only one look, she handed the script over.

“Let’s do it. Start from Scene Three.”

Mi Yu had played second female lead roles for years and was always sensitive about final casting. Mu Wan had not asked who the male and female leads were for this drama. While Mi Yu went off to film, Mu Wan searched it on her phone herself.

Several entertainment accounts on Weibo said that the female lead had been cast as Tang Qin, a rising young actress.

Before productions finalized casting, it was common for marketing accounts to begin building public interest in advance. Usually, it was not just empty noise.

Since Mu Qing did not seem to be involved, Mu Wan closed her phone and thought nothing more of it.

Dinner is neither too early nor too late. The private room had just settled into seating.

Naturally, the director and producer had the most prominent places, along with the male and female leads. The director, producer, and male lead were all already there.

The female lead, however, had not yet arrived.

The seat beside Mi Yu for the female lead remained empty.

Clearly, everyone was still waiting.

But with Tang Qin’s current standing, she should not have been important enough to keep both the director and producer waiting like this. Mu Wan’s brows drew together slightly. She took out her phone and opened Weibo again. She had only just typed “Tang Qin” into the search bar when someone outside the room said—

“Miss Mu has arrived.”

Mu Wan’s finger paused.

She lifted her head toward the door.

Mu Qing walked in.

At first, there was a flicker of hushed talk around the table. But once everyone saw Shen Cheng behind Mu Qing, understanding spread at once.

Mu Qing’s casting in Red Embroidery had already caused an uproar. Everyone knew she was the cinnabar mark on the heart of Young Master Shen from Shen Entertainment.

So what if the role had already been publicly announced as Tang Qin’s?

When Shen Entertainment wanted to take a role away, it took it.

No one had expected Shen Cheng to come in person. The director could not stay seated. He rose from the head of the table and said politely, “Young Master Shen, would you like to sit here?”

“No need,” Shen Cheng replied coolly. “I’ll sit with Mu Qing. Please, all of you, continue as usual.”

Shen Cheng was the only son of the Shen family, a real rich second-generation heir. His family owned entertainment and media businesses. The actresses under their company were countless, and his private life had always been famously wild and extravagant.

And now this reckless playboy had turned around and was indulging his beloved with unmistakable tenderness. It was hard not to envy.

He was actually good-looking—tall, lean, sharp-featured, his brows carrying the cold arrogance of someone born above consequences.

After Mu Qing sat down, Shen Cheng’s gaze lowered darkly toward Mi Yu. Mi Yu understood at once and stood up.

At the same time, everyone seated beneath Mi Yu also stood, each shifting down one place.

Once Shen Cheng took his seat, the rest of them sat again.

Throughout the entire scramble, Mu Qing’s expression never changed. She sat there with composed grace. Once Shen Cheng was settled, she leaned close and said something softly to him. Every glance and smile of hers resembled a white lily opening—pure, elegant, self-contained.

This was what a true white moonlight looked like. No wonder Shen Cheng kept her guarded at the very tip of his heart.

Mu Wan did not look directly at them, yet she could clearly feel that after Mu Qing finished speaking, Shen Cheng’s attention swept toward her.

Mu Wan’s expression did not shift. She raised her eyes and looked straight back, then smiled faintly.

The instant she met Shen Cheng’s gaze, Mu Qing turned toward him and called his name, drawing his attention back to herself.

One of Mu Wan’s brows lifted slightly.

She let out a soft laugh.

Dinner began. Glasses clinked. The room grew even noisier as everyone began taking turns offering toasts.

Nearly every actor present toasted the director.

Mu Wan drank two glasses on Mi Yu’s behalf.

She had only just finished substituting for Mi Yu when Mu Qing lifted her own wineglass. Before she could rise, Shen Cheng took it from her.

Setting the glass aside, he said, “You can’t drink.”

Mu Qing smiled and looked first at the glass, then at Shen Cheng, putting on a faintly troubled expression.

“That wouldn’t be polite. Everyone else has already toasted. I’m the female lead. If I don’t, it would be disrespectful to the director.”

The moment she said that, the director hurriedly waved both hands.

“No, no, no. Not necessary. It’s the thought that counts.”

Shen Cheng drank on her behalf, and the director, overwhelmed, quickly emptied his own glass too.

Once Shen Cheng set his drink down, Mu Qing murmured something to him. Shen Cheng smiled and lifted a hand to touch her hair.

Another wave of admiration spread through the room.

From beginning to end, Mu Qing never once gave Mu Wan so much as a look.

And yet her purpose—to flaunt herself in front of Mu Wan—had already been fully achieved.

Intense Love Chapter 107

~ LOOKING FOR TROUBLE ~

Su Jinbei changed the trousers Zhou Shiyun had given her. After all, they were too long and too big, so they were uncomfortable wearing them. But she didn’t remove the shirt because his shirt matched her little skirt and had a different flavor.

Of course, Su Jinbei, who did not like makeup, also put pink and tender makeup on herself. Although the rivals seemed to have no offensive power, she didn’t want to lose where the tender collagen was placed.

After the rectification, Su Jinbei came out of the room. At this time, Zhou Shiyun was no longer there. Su Jinbei thought very intimately, um... ah, her baby Zhou must have been shy.

In the next few days, Yang Zizi frequently visited the medical team. Sometimes, she comes there to deliver food and sometimes to deliver tea. Everyone saw the girl approaching Doctor Zhou as time passed because her eyes had never left him.

As for Zhou Shiyun, on the other hand, he was utterly neglecting her. It could also be said that he was unaware of her because he didn’t notice her. There is sympathy for Yang Zizi and a desire to watch the drama in this unequal love triangle In other people’s hearts. The people who eat melon say the main character is too hard to shake.

During the lunch break that day, Yang Zizi brought meals to everyone again. She only brought food for doctors and nurses and made them according to their number. However, Su Jinbei is sitting on the side playing mobile games today.

“Sister Jinbei, I’m sorry. I didn’t know you were here, so I didn’t make it for you.” Yang Zizi said with an apologetic expression.

Just as Lin Qingwei was about to move his chopsticks, he heard it and hurriedly said, “It’s all right, Jinbei. I’ll give you mine.”

“Doctor Lin, you must be hungry because you are so busy.” Yang Zizi said softly, “Sister Jinbei is not so busy, so she should not be hungry.”

Su Jinbei put down her phone and raised her eyes to look at her. Yang Zizi’s smiley eyes were both coquettish and speechless. Even if Yang Zizi knew Su Jinbei was here, she wouldn’t make more for her and share it. This girl’s hostility has been too apparent these past few days.

Yang Zizi couldn’t bear to see her, so she turned around to find Zhou Shiyun, “Brother Shiyun, don’t be busy for now. Let’s eat meals first.”

Zhou Shiyun said lightly, “I’m not hungry.”

“Then, treat it as a snack. Otherwise, you will be hungry.”

“Baby Zhou, she made it specifically for you. Why don’t you appreciate it?” Su Jinbei said suddenly.

The spectators choked.

Zhou Shiyun turned his head to look at Su Jinbei, “I’m not hungry. Do you want to eat it?”

Su Jinbei’s eyes slyly passed, “I want to eat a little bit, but I don’t have my share.”

“Oh, then you can take mine.”

Yang Zizi was taken aback, “Brother Shiyun...”

Zhou Shiyun nodded slightly toward her and walked to his room with the medicine box. Su Jinbei stretched herself and stood up, “Actually, I don’t particularly want to eat, so we won’t eat the meal. We’ll return to our rooms first, and I hope everyone has a good rest at noon.”

Yang Zizi’s face paled as she emphasized in Su Jinbei’s words, “We’ll go back to our rooms first.”

Zhou Shiyun is the person she has always thought of since childhood. Even if she knew an extra person was beside him, she still could not control her heart. She always thought maybe he could see her better, or perhaps they hadn’t developed a more profound step, or maybe he did not love her so much……

The people in the room looked at each other, then bowed their heads and went to eat a meal in silence. Miss Su’s method is concise and transparent, making killing people invisible.

Zhou Shiyun returned the medicine box to his room, took out the used medicine, and replaced it with a new one.

Su Jinbei lazily walked into his room and closed the door smoothly.

Zhou Shiyun glanced at her sideways, “Are you not eating?”

“How dare I eat it.” Su Jinbei said as she spread her hands. “She said that she made it specifically for you. If I eat it, she will hate me in her heart.”

Zhou Shiyun slightly curled his lips, “Wouldn’t you still dare?”

Su Jinbei walked over, leaning on the table to look at Zhou Shiyun, and joked, “That’s a rival in love. You know a woman who uses too much affection will be terrible and cruel. In case I get caught, and anything should happen to me.....”

“Su Jinbei.” Zhou Shiyu’s brow pressed with a note of warning. Maybe it was because he still had lingering fears about missing Xiao Yuan last time, so he didn’t like to hear such unlucky words.

Su Jinbei stretched out her hand and squeezed his face, “Oh, I’m just kidding.”

Zhou Shiyun’s face turned dark, saying, “...Put your hands down.”

“You have good skin.” Su Jinbei’s expression was restrained, and she earnestly said, “I don’t usually see you put on a face mask.”

Zhou Shiyun held her wrist and buckled her hand back, “If you can’t stay still, just touch yourself.”

Su Jinbei chuckles, “I know I have good skin...and you know it too.”

Zhou Shiyun’s eyes were stagnant, and the memory of that night flashed through her words with ulterior motives. Silky and delicate skin like satin, body with bewitching fragrance...

Su Jinbei’hand slowly climbed onto his shoulders, leaned forward, and whispered, “Don’t tell me you have forgotten.”

The warm breath lingered in his ears. Zhou Shikai was stunned, and his eyes darkened with astonishment.

“Su Jinbei, are you looking for trouble?”

Su Jinbei’s eyes brightened, “How do you know?”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 360

~ THE TENTS ARRANGEMENTS ~

Hearing Mu Yunyao’s rejection, Yu Wang did not have any other reactions. He only nodded and said, “Alright then. It’ll take a whole day to get to the hunting grounds. If Miss Mu needs anything, you can send someone to inform me.”

Mu Yunyao’s heart stirred slightly as she lifted her head to look at Yu Wang. She noticed that he had a smile on his face. His eyes are clear and bright. His expression was carefree, he didn’t seem to have any other intentions, and she couldn’t help but smile: “Thank you, His Royal Highness.”

Noticing Mu Yunyao sizing him up and the faint defenses she seemed to have, so Yu Wang felt a sense of novelty, “Alright, I still have other things to do, so I’ll head off first.”

“Respectfully sending off His Royal Highness, Yu Wang.”

Meng Handong looked at Mu Yunyao angrily and hurriedly ordered his men to clean up the bloodstains on the ground.

The surrounding spectators laughed in secret. Meng Handong suddenly attacked to kill Mu Yunyao’s horse in order to humiliate her. His goal was not achieved, but instead, the other side got Yu Wang’s green eyes because of this. It’s really impossible to steal a chicken.

If Grand Preceptor Meng knew of his actions today, he might even drag him back to the ancestral hall to kneel. A dignified grandson of the Grand Preceptor, speak and do things without thinking at all. They really didn’t know how many sins Grand Preceptor Meng had committed to having such good-for-nothing grandchildren.

Sensing the mockery in the surrounding people, Meng Handong’s heart became even more furious. He aggressively glared at Mu Yunyao.

Mu Yunyao smiled. Her cold eyes looked back at Meng Handong, and as she blinked her eyes, a cold killing intent flashed by.

Everyone originally thought that Mu Yunyao would find the Su family’s Eldest Madam to ride on the same carriage. But unexpectedly, in less than a quarter of an hour, an identical carriage had rushed over.

Liu Liang jumped off the carriage and greeted Mu Yunyao, “Miss, the carriage is ready.”

The horn sounded, and the crowd immediately lost their desire to watch the show. One by one, the people boarded their carriages, and prepared to leave the Capital, went to the hunting grounds.

Mu Yunyao got on the carriage, and as she entered, she couldn’t help but turn around to scan her surroundings, and when she didn’t see the figure of Yue Wang, she couldn’t help but feel a slight sense of disappointment.

Inside the carriage, Jin Lan was indignant. “Miss, that Meng Han Dong is obviously targeting you deliberately. You must be careful.”

“Don’t worry, it’s just a little clown. It won’t be a problem.”

The hunting grounds were located at the border between the Capital and Ji Prefecture. They were filled with beautiful scenery, lush with dense forests, and had an exceedingly wide range.

After a full day of travel, everyone was mentally exhausted. When they arrived at the hunting grounds, they saw that the sky was already completely dark. They all went to the tents that people had arranged beforehand to rest.

Mu Yunyao originally thought that she would share a tent with Su Yaxian and the other sisters. But unexpectedly, she was assigned a tent by herself, near the place where the horses were resting. The sounds of horses’ whines could occasionally be heard, and because they were at a disadvantage, the smell was rather unpleasant.

Jin Lan and Si Shu were dumbfounded. They couldn’t help but look hesitantly at Mu Yunyao. “Miss, this tent....”

Mu Yunyao was just about to speak when she heard a gentle and soft shout from behind her, “Little Sister Mu, you … your tent....”

Mu Yunyao turned around and saw the worried Zhang Wan. “Greetings, Elder Sister Zhang.”

Zhang Wan looked at the indignant Jin Lan and Si Shu before stepping forward and holding Mu Yunyao’s hand. “Little Sister and I became friends at first sight, and now we finally have the chance to talk together. How about Little Sister taking a rest with me for the night?”

“In that case, thank you, Sister Zhang.”

“Where is Miss Mu going?” Meng Yanran brought her maid over with a smug look on her face, “This time, there are a lot of ladies in the hunting grounds. In order to prevent any accidents, it is prohibited to change the tents at will. So I kindly advise Miss Mu to be well behaved and stay where you are. If a person have an arrogance is a good thing, but it cannot be too outrageous. If she is ambitious, then it is inevitable that she will die for sure, and perhaps, something bad will happen to her!”

Zhang Wan opened her mouth wanted to say something but was stopped by Mu Yunyao. “I thank Miss Meng for the reminder. Elder Sister Zhang, thank you for your kind intentions. Since I can’t change my tent so easily, I’ll sleep here.”

Meng Yanran used the silk handkerchief to cover her nose and mouth. “The smell here is really stinky. Miss Zhang, you need to listen to my advice me. These things are gathered in groups, and people are divided in groups like birds of a feather flock together. If you want to make friends with good intentions, you have to see whether or not the other party is worth making friends with. If you treat others as close sisters, you can’t be regarded as a springboard to climb! When you are always with someone like that, you might even get infected by a sour stench.”

“Miss Meng, please leave as soon as you’re done. This place stinks like hell. Please don’t let the stink touch your body.” Zhang Wan pursed her lips. She had a gentle personality. To be able to say such words, she had clearly been angered.

Meng Yanran smirked and walked over to Zhang Wan, “Sister Zhang Wan, there are some people who are jealous of the treasure in your hands and insist on snatching it away from you. Don’t be so foolish to think that other people really match your temperament. In fact, they just wanted to steal something from you. For example, Cousin Qingwu.....”

Seeing that Zhang Wan looked over in surprise, Meng Yanran laughed and turned to leave.

Mu Yunyao’s gaze turned cold as she stood silently at the side.

Zhang Wan was silent for a moment before she turned her head towards Mu Yunyao. “Little Sister Mu, don’t listen to Miss Meng’s nonsense. She must have harbored hatred towards you because of what happened previously. I haven’t heard that this tent can’t be exchanged. Let’s go.”

Mu Yunyao smiled as she shook her head, “Thank you, Elder Sister Zhang. I’ll stay here, just in case Miss Meng comes again to cause trouble. It’s getting late, so Elder Sister Zhang should head back quickly.”

“This… If you change your mind, you can ask the maid to come find me.”

Mu Yunyao nodded. After Zhang Wan left, the smile on her face slightly faded.

Jin Lan took some incense and removed the smell from the tent. Then, Si Shu put the things down and started to help Mu Yunyao make up the bed.

“Miss, I wonder who was so wicked to set up a tent in a place like this. It must be to target you on purpose.”

“I’ve lived in a worse environment than this before, so there’s nothing to complain about. Rest early because we have to get up early tomorrow morning.”

The night was dark, and Jin Lan and Si Shu were sleeping soundly, but Mu Yunyao unable to sleep. Her five senses were sharper than ordinary people, and the smell was so strong that it gave her a headache. In addition, the back of her hand that had been knocked against the carriage was burning with pain. She couldn’t help but frown. She didn’t sleep for a while until dawn.

“Miss, you are not in good spirits. You must not rest well last night?” Jin Lan helped Mu Yunyao comb her hair while looking at her worriedly.

Mu Yunyao rubbed her forehead and said with a wry smile, “Sure enough. It is easy to change from frugality to luxury, and it is difficult to change from luxury to frugality. I thought I could get used to it.”

Si Shu accidentally saw the back of Mu Yunyao’s hand and instantly sucked in a breath of cold air. “Why is the wound on Miss’s hand so severe?”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 359

~ SET OFF, HEAD TO THE HUNTING GROUND ~

After settling the matters in Jiyue Pavillion, Mu Yunyao headed over to the Imperial Palace to meet up with the crowd.

Although the Emperor had arranged for officials to bring their ladies to attend the Autumn Hunt, there were no compulsory requirements about it. For example, Second Madam couldn’t leave the estate, and her daughter didn’t want to attract the attention of Grand Princess Yi De, so she didn’t need to participate.

Mu Yunyao had just walked out of the residence when she saw another carriage in front of the gate.

Jin Lan whispered, “Miss, that seems to be the Eldest Miss’s carriage.” Could it be that Yuyi, who was injured to such an extent, still insisted on going to the hunting grounds?

Mu Yunyao turned around and saw the unfriendly Eldest Madam walking out, followed by Su Yaxian and the other two illegitimate daughters, who stood still in silence. With a quick thought, she realized that this must have been arranged by the Old Madam.

“Greetings, Eldest Aunt and three cousin.”

The Eldest Madam glanced at Mu Yunyao with a stiff expression. She didn’t even bother to put on an act and directly headed towards her carriage. Su Yajing and Su Yaling held their breath as they followed behind the Eldest Madam, not daring to make a sound. However, it was Su Yaxian who turned around and looked at her apologetically.

Mu Yunyao stood up with a smile at the corner of her mouth. “Let’s go.”

The Autumn Hunt this time was exceptionally grand because of Grand Princess Yi De. Originally, twenty thousand imperial guards had been prepared to escort them along the way. However, with so many female members, the Second Prince, Yu Wang, had dispatched twenty thousand guards to coordinate with them to ensure that the guests were safe.

The horse carriage stopped. Just as Mu Yunyao wanted to get off, she heard the sound of horses hissing outside, then the carriage violently shook. Fortunately, Si Shu saw that the situation wasn’t good and did her best to support her, which did not let her fall out of the carriage. However, the back of her hand knocked badly on the door and suddenly became red and swollen.

Killing intent flashed in Mu Yunyao’s eyes. This experience suddenly reminded her of her previous life, when she tumbled out from the carriage and fell in front of Yue Wang.

“What’s going on?”

Right after she said those words, the sorrowful cry of a horse could be heard. Following this, the horse carriage swayed once more, and a strong stench of blood spread.

The originally lively and relaxed atmosphere froze into silence. Everyone began to drive the carriage away, and for a time, only the carriage that Mu Yunyao was stopped in the middle.

Hearing the commotion, the imperial guards rushed to gather around, and the Second Prince, Yu Wang, came on horseback. When he saw the situation, he frowned, “What happened?”

A young man came forward and bowed towards Yu Wang, “Report back to His Royal Highness, the Meng family’s carriage accidentally collided with this carriage, to the point that the horses were startled. Seeing that they were going to collide with the noble, they had no choice but to kill the horses. Unexpectedly, I did not expect that it will alarm Your Highness. Please forgive me, His Royal Highness.”

“You are … Meng Handong?”

“Reporting to Yu Wang, it really is me.”

Yu Wang’s eyebrows were still tightly furrowed as he looked at the carriage trapped in the blood, “Who owns this carriage? What about the people in the carriage?”

Mu Yunyao’s gaze was cold as she signaled for Si Shu to lift the carriage’s curtain. The horse had already fallen to the ground, and no sound could be heard. Blood flowed everywhere, trapping the horse carriage she was riding in into a pool of blood.

Mu Yunyao walked out of the carriage and stood at the shaft of the carriage. Her gaze was calm as she looked at Yu Wang. “This humble daughter, Mu Yunyao, greets His Royal Highness Yu Wang.”

Yu Wang looked over with a hint of surprise in his eyes, “It’s you. I can see that you can’t sit on the carriage anymore. I just saw that there seems to be another lady in the Su family. Go make do with it.”

“Thank you, His Royal Highness, I will think of a way. However, I never would have thought that this Young Master would dare draw his sword and kill a horse in front of so many noble people. It is really a rare courage.” Mu Yunyao looked at Meng Handong, who was standing in the side. Earlier, Yue Wang had warned her to be careful of the Meng family. She thought that she would meet them after arriving at the hunting grounds. Unexpectedly, Meng Handong dares to trouble her in front of the palace gates.

Meng Handong glanced at Mu Yunyao, his eyes slightly narrowed, “So it’s Little Sister Yunyao. It is truly a big water rush to the Dragon King’s Temple, and the whole family doesn’t recognize each other. I didn’t expect that the person inside the carriage would be you. It’s all my fault. I was surprised when I saw the horse startled and was afraid that something would happen to the surrounding people. That’s why I killed the horse that pulled the carriage. I hope Little Sister Yunyao won’t mind. After all, no matter how precious this horse is, it can’t compare to the people around us, right?”

Mu Yunyao sneered in her heart. Meng Handong only wanted to avoid bumping into the surrounding nobles, but he didn’t care that she was still in the carriage. If they were to compare notes, wouldn’t it mean that she was inferior to the surrounding nobles?

“Young Master Meng is right. Sometimes a person can’t reason with animals.”

“It was originally....” Meng Haodong was just about to nod his head when he heard a burst of light laughter from the surroundings. Thinking carefully about Mu Yunyao’s words, he couldn’t help but have a face of anger. What does she mean by people who can’t reason with animals? Does Mu Yunyao dare to imply that he is an animal?

The corner of Yu Wang’s mouth curled up slightly, and curiosity was added within the gaze he shot at Mu Yunyao. “Miss Mu, you might get off the carriage?”

Meng Handong dared not vent his anger in front of Yu Wang, so he just stood aside with his hands folded around his chest, waiting to see the joke of Mu Yunyao.

Blood from the horses was all over the ground. If Mu Yunyao wanted to get off the car, her shoes and skirt would definitely be stained with dirt. But now that they were about to depart, there wouldn’t be time for her to change her dress, so there would be a good show.

Mu Yunyao turned her head to look at Si Shu and slightly nodded at her.

Si Shu stepped forward and placed the horse stool upright on the ground. She then supported Mu Yunyao’s waist and directly brought her down from the carriage.

Mu Yunyao’s footsteps became lighter. Borrowing the strength of Si Shu, she stepped on the horse stool and lightly landed on the clean ground as if nothing had happened.

She was wearing a light apricot-colored silk dress. Her dress looked extremely elegant. With the strength of Si Shu and her slender figure, her dress skirt swayed as she landed, which made people unable to shift their eyes away from her.

Yu Wang’s eyes flashed with amazement. When he looked at Meng Handong again, he could not help but feel that this person’s appearance was repulsive. Wasn’t this the same person who had previously taught a lesson to the arrogant and despotic Meng Yanran? He killed this girl’s horse in public and made it bloody. It’s really narrow-minded.

“Meng Handong, this is the enterace of Palace. You dare to use your weapon here and even caused such a bloody scene. If you didn’t want to go to the hunting grounds today, you shouldn’t wasted time the people around. You must have clean up the ground yourself. Now, hurry up and tidy up the scene. If it’s because of you that people delayed their time, you must be arrested and charged.”

Meng Handong was shocked. He could not maintain his wild and untamed expression and quickly clasped his hands together to plead to Yu Wang, “I was reckless. Please forgive me, His Royal Highness. I’ll clean this up now.”

“En!” Yu Wang looked towards Mu Yunyao and nodded his head. “Does Miss Mu need someone’s help?” Earlier, he didn’t think Mu Yunyao was anything special, so he couldn’t be bothered to care about how she went on her way to the hunting grounds. Now that I’ve discovered that this person suits my interests, he couldn’t help but be a bit more concerned.

“Thank you, His Royal Highness Yu Wang. I’ve already sent someone down to make arrangements.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 358

~ SUSPICIOUS OF THE OLD MADAM ~

Jin Lan was a little dumbfounded: “Miss, why did Second Madam suddenly arrange this?”

“Previously, when Eldest Aunt was in charge of the household, she had intimidated the Second Madam from the side. When Second Aunt wanted to live a bit more comfortably, she had to be liked by the Old Madam and not be feared by Eldest Aunt. Thus, she had a straightforward disposition and was not to be feared. But now, the authority to manage household falls on Second Aunt, plus on top of that, knowing that someone is secretly attacking Elder Sister Su You. Do you think she will not make any changes?”

“From the looks of it, it seems like the Second Madam is suspecting that it was the Eldest Madam who secretly dealt Fifth Miss?”

Mu Yunyao shook her head. The confusion in her heart accumulated and slowly twisted into a mystery. “I’m not too sure either. But as a girl, Elder Sister Su You isn’t too eye-catching, and her body is too weak, so what’s the use of dealing with her?”

“That’s right. Your servant is also very curious.”

“Let’s take a look later. I wonder how many things Second Aunt can find out.” In the end, the Second Madam had lived in the Su family for more than twenty years. Thus, she had a much better understanding of the Su family than she did. Her connections and roots were also deeper than hers, so it should be easier to investigate.

Two days passed in the blink of an eye.

In the Western Courtyard, Mu Yunyao carefully helped Su You check her pulse, nodding slightly: “I’ve pretty much cleared away most of the poison. But there’s still a portion left over, and I’ll slowly remove it later. Elder Sister Su You’s foundation is too poor. If I clear out the poison in one go, her body might not be able to take it.”

In the past two days, Su You had been extremely tortured and already extremely weak. Mu Yunyao used medicated baths to help her remove the poison, combined with acupuncture and massage, took some laxative and divergent medicinal materials. Su You thought she would not be able to hold on and die directly.

Mu Yunyao put away the silver needles and looked at Su You with a smile, “How does Eldest Sister Su You feel?”

“I....” Su You slowly sat up. Although she still felt quite weak, it was as if a heavy burden was lifted from her body. Her entire body was light and airy, and even her breathing was a lot smoother than before. “I feel surprisingly good. It’s never been better.”

The Second Madam, who was anxiously waiting at the side, couldn’t help but cry, “That’s great. That’s really great. Yunyao, I don’t know how to thank you.”

“The next recuperation is the key. Elder Sister Su You’s body has been heavily attacked by the poison. If anything goes wrong, I’m afraid that she’ll really be in danger.”

“Alright, I’ll definitely pay attention to these dirty tricks and not let them get in front of You’er again.”

“Elder Sister Su You, you must has a good rest. I’ll go and prepare some prescription for you first.” Mu Yunyao held Su You and helped her pull back the quilt. Only then did she follow the Second Madam outside.

When the maid brought the tea up, Mu Yunyao lightly took a sip.

The Second Madam waved her hand, telling all the maids to step back, then she said, “Yunyao, I’ve been investigating for the past few days, and faintly feel that the person secretly attacking Su You seems to be... ....”

Mu Yunyao raised her head and saw Second Madam looking in the direction of Ning He Garden where the Old Madam was. “This is really too inconceivable, Second Aunt. Did you not investigate wrongly?”

The Second Madam smiled wryly, “I also hope that my own investigation was wrong. After all, she dotes on Su You and even sent a portion of precious herbs to the Western Courtyard first. Who would have thought....”

Mu Yunyao lowered her head, her fingers gently pinching the edge of the teacup. “Knowing people, knowing a person’s appearance, but not knowing his heart. I guess that’s probably about the Old Madam looked like. Her face is kind, and she’s muttering buddhist chants. It can’t be more kind, but in reality....”

“Heart like a snake and a scorpion!” The Second Madam slowly spit out these words, and the look in her eyes is particularly gloomy. “There are a lot of things that I didn’t understand in the past, but now, I think I’m just extremely shocked. Back then, my mother personally asked someone to marry me in the Qi family. At that time, my mother strongly opposed it, but I fell in love with your second uncle and married him happily, regardless of the opposition of my family....”

Mu Yunyao raised her gaze. She was slightly felt surprised in her heart as she didn’t expect such a thing to happen. The Second Madam’s lips carried a bitter smile and continued, “At that time, the Su family was not completely given priority. The Old Madam was extremely good to me, and it could even be said that she was very partial to me. However, my own belly was not very good. First, I did not get pregnant in a few years. Then I became pregnant, but the child could never be kept. I was happily found out that I was pregnant, but after a few months, I had inexplicable miscarriage. This happened several times in a row. I knelt in the buddhist hall all night long to confess whether I had done something wrong. Fortunately, there was Su You later on, which allowed me to feel alive....”

“Second Aunt” Mu Yunyao passed the silk handkerchief over and looked worriedly at the Second Madam.

“I’m fine. I wasn’t able to think of the crux of the matter before and only felt that my life was miserable. But now, it’s inevitable that there is someone deliberately harming me from behindt. I don’t know why the Old Madam did this, but no one else in this house has such great ability except her!”

Mu Yunyao nodded, “Indeed.”

The Second Madam wiped her tears. “Thinking that of all these years I’ve been trying to please a venomous snake, I feel terrible, and it was cold like fall into the ice cellar. When I was pregnant with Su You, it wasn’t easy. After that, I went through a lot of labor and risked my life to give birth to her. I also lost the possibility of being pregnant again. Over the years, I’ve been trying my best to help Su You recuperate, but I didn’t know that there was a problem with the medicine she drank.... ”

Muyunyao didn’t know how to persuade her, and this matter was too cruel for the Second Madam.

“Yunyao, it seems that there is a knife stirring in my heart all the time in these past two days. When Su you was a child, her health was not so bad. She didn’t like to drink medicine and always lost her temper, so I always advised her and coaxed her to drink it one by one. As long as I thought that, over the years, what I fed her was not life-saving tonic, but it was a deadly poison...I wish I could kill myself!”

The Second Madam hated herself and hated the Old Madam even more!

If the Old Madam did not like her, it would be fine no matter how hard she tried. However, she should not have touched Su You, and she is her own granddaughter. How could she not have a little bit of compassion in her heart?

“Second Aunt, there’s still time. It’s not too late because the situation hasn’t reached its worst state yet.”

The Second Madam took a deep breath and raised her head slightly to prevent her tears from flowing too fiercely. “That’s right. Fortunately, I met you. Everything was in time. Yunyao, I swear to you from the bottom of my heart, I won’t beg you to treat Su You properly. I just want you to give it your all, and as long as you do your best, I will never forget it. From now on, I’ll do whatever you want me to do!”

Mu Yunyao shook her head and stretched out her hand to hold Second Madam’s hand, “Second Aunt’s love for her daughter is truly touching. I can assure you that I will do my best to ensure Elder Sister Su You’s safety.”

The Second Madam nodded: “Well, you must be careful. In the Su family, the Old Madam has a lot of ability. I don’t know when she will know that you helped Su You to recuperate her body. Previously, I could vaguely tell that she wasn’t happy with you. If she secretly takes action against you or Sister Su Qing, it would be too easy for her to get rid of you, and it’s really troublesome to guard against.”

“Thank you for the reminder, Second Aunt. I will be more careful.”

When Mu Yunyao returned to Jiyue Pavilion, she had received the eighty thousand silver banknotes that the Eldest Madame had collected. She carefully examined the stack of banknotes, and when she thought about the two dowries of the Eldest Madam had given her, she felt comfortable in her heart. “Get someone to send the banknotes over to Qi Ming, tell him that he will moved in the next day or two, and let him be prepared.”

“Yes, Miss.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 357

~ YUE WANG’S CLASSIFICATION STANDARD ~

Looking at his appearance, Mu Yunyao couldn’t help but snort in her heart: “Then Fourth Master will take good care of himself. Before he recuperates, you can’t casually go near other girls, or else it’ll be bad if you get beaten up like a retainer.”

Yue Wang’s eyes suddenly flashed with light, and her voice became slightly deeper, slowly flowing into his ears, as though it contained a deep emotion and love: “I’ve only been close to you.”

Mu Yunyao was initially just joking around, but after hearing Yue Wang’s words, her face couldn’t help but flush red: “Fourth Master sure can talk a lot now. When I thought back to the past, you always treated your words like gold!”

“ It’s a matter of classifying people...”

Mu Yunyao raised her eyes and looked straight at Yue Wang, forcefully suppressing the uneasiness in her heart. With a smile, she said, “In Fourth Master’s heart, how is this people classified?”

Previously, Mu Yunyao had felt slightly embarrassed and annoyed, but the expression around Yue Wang had become even more indifferent. But now, Mu Yunyao had suddenly become even more opened up, causing him to feel a little nervous.

Yue Wang looked deeply at Mu Yunyao and slowly spoke: “You, a special person....”

At first, Mu Yunyao didn’t understand what he meant. But after she thought of these words, she suddenly froze on the spot. You, a special person… Could it be that in the heart of Yue Wang, other than her, he always treated others with the words like gold?

The room immediately quieted down, but other emotions started to circulate in the room slowly.

Mu Yunyao pursed her lips slightly. Her lips moved, revealing a little of her snow-white teeth, causing Yue Wang’s gaze to dim slightly.

After a long while, Mu Yunyao took the initiative to change the topic: “Do you have any idea what you can do to help Qi Ming, Fourth Master?”

Knowing that she still had not let down her guard yet, Yue Wang was not anxious. He cooperates with her and turns the conversation away: “There are a few people on Yu Wang’s side who are my hidden spies. I am planning to take them back to help me take care of Bu Xian Luo, and it just so happens that I can use them this time.”

“Hidden spies?” Mu Yunyao was slightly surprised, “I thought that Fourth Master really lived in Western Guangdong and didn’t inquire about matters in the Capital.”

“As a descendant of the Imperial Family, fights for the thorne are unavoidable since we are born. Although I don’t want my brothers to kill each other, I still have to have methods to protect myself. Moreover, there are some old matters that need to be investigated thoroughly, so I must let my power grow stronger.”

Mu Yunyao’s eyes slightly moved as her understanding of Yue Wang deepened. “Fourth Master’s words are reasonable. I wonder, does Fourth Master have any connections in the Imperial Court?”

“Yes, do you need me to write it down for you to see?” Yue Wang nodded his head happily.

“Is Fourth Master not afraid that I am a spy sent by someone else and deliberately come here to trick you?”

“No, I believe you!” Yue Wang smiled as he replied, looking at Mu Yunyao with unwavering determination. This was the first time he liked and cared so much about a person. Furthermore, Mu Yunyao’s heart was heavy, so he could only groping towards the other side’s approaches. He knew that Yunyao was suspicious, so he completely cut himself open and presented himself in front of her, making everything that she wanted to know could be seen at a glance. This way, she wouldn’t have to suspect anything secretly.

Mu Yunyao opened her mouth and slightly shifted her gaze away, not looking at Yue Wang. “Fourth Master, please arrange it yourself. I’ll have arranged for Qi Ming to be at His Royal Highness Ling’s side. In order to make him trust Qi Ming, I have to give him more silver tael. The silver taels will be used by His Royal Highness Ling to develop his connections. Fourth can arrange for his own people and earn more silverfrom me.”

Yue Wang could not help but chuckle. In his deep eyes, he seemed to see the stars moving slowly. “Alright, I will make sure that the fertile water does not flow to the foreign lands. I will make arrangements for it.”

Hearing his laughter, Mu Yunyao felt an itch in her ear, and a look of embarrassment flashed past her eyes. “It’s getting late. I want to return to the residence early so that my mother won’t worry.”

“Wait a minute.“Yue Wang said as he picked up his coat at the side, and just as Mu Yunyao was about to reach out to grab it, he dodged her finger and personally put the coat on her shoulders.” During Autumn Hunt, be careful of the Meng family. Grand Preceptor Meng’s mind is deep. His sons, however, weren’t outstanding, and so were his grandchildren, who are born liked to fight to the bitter end. They acted without restraint under protection of Grand Preceptor Meng and Princess Qingning, so I’m afraid that they’ll make trouble for you on the hunting ground.”

Mu Yunyao extended her hand to grab the belt of her cloak, wanting to take two steps back. However, she felt that she was acting cowardly by doing this, so she forced herself to stand still. She raised her head and smiled faintly at Yue Wang, “Thank you for your reminder, Fourth Master. I should leave now....”

“Wait, there is also the matter of Shen Binghuai. I have arranged for him to investigate Xun Wu, and very soon, there will be news of the Eldest Madam bribing those hoodlums in an attempt to find trouble with you. However, those hoodlums are dead, and the evidence is insufficient. At most, I can only do is to make some use of it, but it’s not enough to convict the Eldest Madam directly. Princess Qingning has always been protective of her family, so she will definitely get people to mediate things for her. The Eldest Madam has a great chance of being safe, so you must be prepared.”

“Alright.”

“Also, before this, I had wanted to transfer Steward Qin to the Capital, but he was in charge of Bu Xian Luo in Jiangnan. It would cause a lot of inconveniences if I transferred him here. Thus, I would let Eunuch Cheng come to the Capital. He is also an old man who has been taking care of me for many years. Although he is old now, he is still a bit out of temper. If you meet him in the future, don’t be scared by him.”

Mu Yunyao couldn’t help but smile, “Am I such a timid person?”

Yue Wang couldn’t help but raise his finger and lightly move towards the red mark on her forehead. “No matter what happens, don’t try to be brave....”

A clear and cold aura surrounded them as if it was everywhere. Mu Yunyao’s heart skipped a beat because of the slight tremble of her nervous eyelashes. The spot between her eyebrows that had been touched by Yue Wang’s finger just now became slightly hot. “Fourth Master?”

Just as the tip of his finger touched her forehead, Yue Wang withdrew his finger and placed his hands behind his back. “It’s my fault. Let’s go back quickly. It’s getting late.”

Mu Yunyao heaved a sigh of relief and quickly walked out of the door. Only then did the breath she had been holding up slightly loosen up.

Jin Lan, Jin Qiao, and the others hurriedly came over. “Miss, would you like to take a walk?”

“No need, let’s go back to the residence.”

After getting on the carriage, Jin Qiao looked nervously at Mu Yunyao. “Miss, why is the space between your eyebrows red. Did you accidentally hit it?”

Mu Yunyao stretched out her hand to touch it as if she could still feel the numbness from his slightly cold fingertip touching. “I accidentally hit it, but it’s fine.”

As soon as she returned to the residence, she saw a servant carrying something towards the East Courtyard. After seeing Mu Yunyao, the servants hurriedly pay their respects.

“What are these things for?”

“Reporting to Miss Biao, the Second Madam asked this servant to carried these things to the Eldest Miss.”

Mu Yunyao looked at one of the small screens and lightly retracted her gaze. “Since that’s the case, then quickly send it over to Elder Sister Yuyi.”

“Yes.”

When they returned to Jiyue Pavilion, Jin Lan helped Mu Yunyao change her clothes as she softly asked, “Miss, I saw that you were sizing up the screen that the servants were holding. Is there a problem with it?”

“The problem is not too big. The small screen should have been placed beside the table by the window. The the screen base looks like acid wood, but in reality, it has been refined with medicine, and the drug’s potency isn’t that strong. However, it will easily spread out when exposed to the sun. It doesn’t have much harm, but it is easy to make people impatient.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 356

~ THE WELL-INFORMED YUE WANG ~

In the Capital, there were still rumors circulating around about the Su family. While Mu Yunyao sat in the carriage, she occasionally heard some of the surrounding rumors about the Su family.

Ni Yun Fang had chosen a store on the main street. Mu Yunyao alighted from the carriage, and a middle-aged man with stubble on his face walked up to welcome her. “Greetings, Miss.”

Mu Yunyao’s footsteps slightly paused. After carefully looking at the man in front of her for a moment, a smile flashed through her eyes. “Aren’t you in Jiangnan? When did you come to the Capital?”

“In reply to Miss, I have nothing to do, so I might as well come over and take a look.” The man was taken aback for a moment before he smiled, “Miss, please come in quickly. There are too many people outside so as not to collide with you.”

This store was originally an elegant place. It took a lot of effort to build it, and the decorations were so elegant. However, it was not managed well, so the only thing they could do was to discard the entire store.

Mu Yunyao looked around before finding a chair to sit down. “I heard that you’ve collected a large amount of grain in Jiangnan again?”

The man stepped forward to pay his respects and lifted his hand to take off the thin mask on his face, revealing his true face. It was Qi Ming who had made a great effort in the salt tax case before: “Miss’s eyes are like torches, this servant thought that my disguise was flawless! Just like last year, this servant took advantage of the autumn harvest to buy a batch of grain, thinking that the weather is cold now, and Steward Qin may be able to use it.”

Thinking about this time of year, it should be too cold in Western Guangdong, and ginger tea should also be prepared in advance.

Mu Yunyao’s lips couldn’t help but reveal a smile, “Well done.”

“It was all taught by Young Miss.”

Mu Yunyao thought for a moment before speaking, “How’s the situation at Yi Bao Xuan now?”

“Reply Young Miss, Yi Bao Xuan’s progress has not been smooth.” Under the meticulous arrangements of Young Miss, he had successfully escaped from the salt tax case in Jiangnan. However, Yi Bao Xuan had been targeted, so he did not dare to act rashly.

Mu Yunyao looked carefully at Qi Ming. “Since Yi Bao Xuan has already been targeted, then you can’t have anything to do with me anymore. Otherwise, Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo will also be affected. Qi Ming, I have something that I want to discuss with you. It might be dangerous. Are you willing to do it?”

Qi Ming quickly knelt down. “Based on Young Miss’s orders, this servant is willing to do her best for her.”

“Get up. I don’t know what your relationship with Liu Liang is, but I believe that he won’t harm me, and I also believe in your loyalty.” Mu Yunyao couldn’t help but let out a bitter laugh. She said these words purely out of instinct. She didn’t know why, but she, who never trusts others credulously, actually trusted Liu Liang and the people he finds especially. “I want you to take Yi Bao Xuan to the First Prince.”

Qi Ming raised his head, looked up, and his eyes filled with surprise, but he quickly answered, “Yes.”

“Even though you’ve escaped from the salt tax case, with the First Prince’s connections, he will more or less find out your shadow. If you want to continue developing Yi Bao Xuan, you can only rely on him, and only by dispelling the suspicion in his heart towards you, Yi Bao Xuan will have a chance to develop again.”

“This servant understands, but this servant has been involved in the Jiangnan Salt Tax case before. Isn’t it a bit inappropriate for me to take refuge in them rashly?”

Mu Yunyao smiled slightly. “Although I say that I want you to submit to Ling Wang, I can’t just send you to First Prince’s door for no reason. She has to find an excuse that won’t make him suspicious. The Third Prince, Jin Wang, was currently in the limelight. He had also recruited the Su family’s patriarch, Su Wenyuan. It could be said that he was holding the entire Ministry of Public Affairs in his hands. Right now, His Royal Highness Ling should be anxious to compete with in Wang for have some connections, so he definitely needs money to back him up.”

Qi Ming nodded his head, “That is indeed the case.”

Mu Yunyao continued, “In the Jiangnan salt tax case, Ling Wang suffered a great loss, but couldn’t find any concrete evidence against Jin Wang, so he could only suppress his suspicion for now. You should pretend to be Jin Wang’s man. After that matter is settled, Jin Wang will kill you to keep your mouth shut, and it just happened to be saved by Ling Wang’s men. In order to make it more believable, I will give you a letter was written by Jin Wang, half of which was destroyed, and I also provide you 100,000 taels of silver. I think Ling Wang will believe it.”

“Young miss, don’t this  a cheap price for Ling Wang in this way?”

“I’ve just made a small fortune in the past few days, and 100,000 silver was not too much. Even if you were to throw it out, it would not be a big problem. You don’t have to bear any burden. Of course, I will do my best to make the necessary arrangements. This silver will slowly return to my hands.” Mu Yunyao said as the smile on her lips slowly deepened, and her eyes were filled with an extraordinary light of confidence, causing those who saw it to feel at ease.

Qi Ming nodded his head, “Please rest assured, Young Miss. This servant will do my best to expand and develop Yi Bao Xuan.”

“Alright.”

Not long after she finished speaking, the sound of footsteps came from outside the door. Mu Yunyao raised her head, looked over, and was looking into Yue Wang’s smiling eyes. “Qi Ming, you can leave first. When I’ve made my arrangements, I’ll get someone to notify you.”

“Yes.”

“Why is Fourth Master here?” Mu Yunyao stood up with a smile and bent the knee to pay her respects. Her movements were faintly a bit more casual, unlike the respectful and estranged manner from before.

“I heard that you left the Su family’s residence, so I hurried over.”

“Fourth Master is rather well-informed, but we’re not done here, so we don’t have any fragrant tea for you.”

Looking at Mu Yunyao’s smiling face, Yue Wang couldn’t help but feel that no matter how he looked at her, he couldn’t get enough of her. He wished for nothing more than to place her in his heart and meticulously describe her. “The one who just left is Qi Ming?”

“That’s right.” Mu Yunyao slightly tilted her head as she asked with a smile, “I want Qi Ming bring Yi Bao Xuan to seek refuge with His Royal Highness Ling, so that Yi Baoxuan can have the opportunity to continue to develop. Fourth Master won’t mind, right?” He respected Mu Yunyao’s thoughts and knew that she has her own idea.

“Of course not, but do you need my help?”

“No....” Mu Yunyao wanted to reject him. But, she had already sided with Yue Wang. She could save some effort and energy, so why didn’t she use it? “Well, just now, I’ve been thinking of faking a murderous and annihilating scene. Can Fourth Master help me?”

“Who do you want to blame this on?”

“Jin Wang.” After Mu Yunyao finished speaking, she carefully observed Yue Wang’s expression, feeling a little uncertain in her heart. Although the competition among the princes in the Imperial Court was fierce, it did not affect Yue Wang, who far away in Western Guangdong. He was not favored, and he did not return to the Capital for many years, so even though he was a prince, he seemed to have been exiled. Without experiencing such a bloody battle, who knows? Perhaps Yue Wang not even considered those princes as his elder brothers.

Yue Wang raised the corner of his lips and looked at Mu Yunyao. Seeing Mu Yunyao’s nervous appearance, he couldn’t help but reach out his hand and lightly touched the center of her brows.

Mu Yunyao was stunned and only regained her senses after a long time. She subconsciously raised her hand to cover her forehead.

Yue Wang quickly retracted his hand and felt his fingertips burning up, bringing about a slight numbing sensation. His entire arm no longer felt like his own, “Cough cough … Alright, I will get someone to arrange it.”

Mu Yunyao blinked, then uncomfortably rubbed her forehead, leaving a red mark. “It seems like Fourth Master’s internal injuries have not healed yet, and you’re still absent-minded from time to time.” Her attitude towards him had only relaxed slightly, but this person had already learned how to take things a step further. “I really need to take good care of myself for a while.” Yue Wang nodded his head seriously.

Incurable Chapter 32 Part 2

Chapter 32 (2/2)

The sky changed quickly. Before long, darkness had already begun to gather.

Thunder rolled through the valley.

Mu Wan asked with some worry, “It’s not going to come down while we’re still on the way back, is it?”

Even as she spoke, she felt the first cool drop strike her cheek. Her brows lifted as she tipped her face upward.

Beside her, Liu Qianxiu remained calm. He studied the direction of the wind moving through the bamboo grove, then took Mu Wan’s hand and led her away from the path.

They headed deeper into the bamboo.

Before long, a small bamboo-and-thatch hut came into view. Liu Qianxiu pulled Mu Wan inside. The moment they crossed the threshold, a streak of lightning tore across the sky, and the rain came down.

Dense rain beat against the bamboo and against the wet earth below.

Standing by the door, Mu Wan looked around the hut. There was almost nothing inside—only a bamboo bed. Directly opposite the entrance was a little square window, and whenever the wind blew, rain slanted in through it.

“How did you know there was a hut here?” Mu Wan turned back to Liu Qianxiu and reached her hand out into the stream of rain spilling from the roof.

“My master built it. Sometimes he comes here to cultivate in solitude,” Liu Qianxiu said.

For Taoists, solitary cultivation meant seeking the Way. One did not always cultivate in the temple itself, but often in places closer to nature—like the cliff where Liu Qianxiu meditated at dawn, or this thatched hut.

Wherever it was, Mu Wan liked it.

She stood in the doorway, letting rain collect in her palm. The pool in her hand kept growing larger. Just before it was about to spill over, another hand slid beneath hers and caught it.

His palm was large enough to enclose hers entirely.

Mu Wan turned to look at him.

He stood beside her, looking out toward the bamboo grove. Sensing her gaze, he turned back to her.

Rain fell into their joined hands, sounding delicate and endless. At last, there was too much water even for both hands together to hold. Mu Wan tipped her hands and poured the rain away, then clasped his wet hand in hers and drew it back inside.

Their hands were damp where they were linked.

Looking out at the rain-washed bamboo, Mu Wan smiled and said, “I like bamboo groves. When I was first born, my name was Mu Qingzhu. It was changed later because my cousin was named Mu Qing.”

Mu Qing’s name had been chosen by Yan Mei after consulting someone. They had said the Mu family surname paired well with the character Qing, but Yan Mei had not wanted her daughter to share a name element with Mu Wan. So she had made Mu Wan’s mother change Mu Wan’s name instead.

And Mu Qing had certainly lived up to Yan Mei’s hopes—now together with Shen Cheng, suppressing Mu Wan without effort, living comfortably while making sure others could not.

The name had not been stolen in vain.

At a moment like this, Mu Wan did not want to be thinking about Mu Qing. She returned to herself and said to Liu Qianxiu, “I was first named Mu Qingzhu because I have a bamboo-leaf birthmark.”

The first time she had gone to the ER, when Liu Qianxiu had treated her wound, he had seen it when he pulled down her clothing. At the time, he had looked at it for a moment too long. Later, all he had done was calmly say it was beautiful.

Thinking of that memory, Mu Wan lifted a hand to the button at her chest and asked, “Do you still remember where it is?”

She smiled as she spoke and made to undo the fastening. Before she could, her hand was caught in his.

“What’s wrong?” Mu Wan smiled, feigning innocence.

Liu Qianxiu lowered his gaze to her, his throat moving as he let out a quiet sigh. His arm tightened, drawing her against him.

The gauzy shirt she wore had already fallen half open, the neckline slipping to one side and revealing nearly all of one collarbone. Beneath it stretched a soft sweep of pale skin. Liu Qianxiu’s gaze paused there before he looked back up at her.

“On purpose?” he asked.

Her hand was still trapped in his, and her body was pressed to his chest.

Mu Wan smiled without hiding it. “Mm. On purpose.”

His black eyes rested on her, long and deep, as though ready to draw her in completely. Mu Wan’s smile slowly faded. Color rose through her pale cheeks. A flicker of nerves passed through her. She tried to twist free of his hold and could not.

Then he lowered his head and kissed her.

The instant their lips met, Mu Wan caught the scent of desire mixed into the bamboo leaves. Her whole body tightened. Her eyes widened at him. Very quickly, though, she was no longer in control. He led. She followed without realizing she had surrendered.

Her body felt like a torch suddenly set alight.

Drawn along by his kiss, she could do nothing but go wherever he took her.

At the end of it, she heard a soft laugh by her ear. Then Liu Qianxiu bit lightly at her earlobe, and a numbing weakness swept through her all over again.

Mu Wan opened her eyes.

Liu Qianxiu’s last kiss fell against her forehead.

It was as though someone had opened a box of fruit candies and scattered them across the whole room. The air had turned sweet with them, and the culprit simply let that sweetness linger. Mu Wan’s red lips remained slightly parted. Her breathing came fast. Her eyes were wet, bright, and lit with tiny flames.

She grabbed the front of his Taoist robe.

Knowing he had done it deliberately, she felt both flustered and a little angry.

“You did that on purpose,” she said, her voice roughened.

The man looked at her, then lifted a hand and smoothed it through her hair. His voice was low and grave.

“No. I just couldn’t hold back anymore.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 355

~ I WANT TO LIVE! ~

The Second Madam sat on the chair in a daze as if she had lost her brilliance. Her complexion was pale and her aura gloomy. After a long while, Su You’s soft voice came from the room. She then abruptly stood up and walked into the room.

Mu Yunyao got up and followed her. She saw Su You had already opened her eyes and was turned sideways beside the bed as if she wanted to say something. Seeing the Second Madam, her eyes revealed a look of attachment, “Mother …. I have made you worry....”

“You’ve just woken up, so your throat must be feeling a little uncomfortable. Quickly drink some warm waterand get some rest....”

Su You slightly shook her head and looked at Mu Yunyao, who was at the side. Her face revealed a slight smile, “You came as well … It’s really great that you’re here too....”

Mu Yunyao went up to check Su You’s pulse, “There’s still raw Pinellia ternata left in that bowl of medicine, but fortunately that Elder Sister Su You didn’t drink too much, and she also threw it.up. So right now, there’s nothing major wrong with her.”

“Yunyao, let’s talk outside later.” The Second Madam hurriedly gave Mu Yunyao a meaningful glance. She didn’t want Su You to know about these things. Just in case, as not to increase the burden in her heart.

Mu Yunyao did not think like that, “Second Aunt, I know you are worried about Elder Sister Su You, but you still have to let her know what she needs to know. Previously, she always thought that it was because her body was too weak that she dragged you and Second Uncle down, making her thought thatliving was a burden, that she had no strong will to live! If a person does not wish to live, even the Da Luo Jinxian cpul not save her.”

The Second Madam couldn’t stop herself from covering her mouth and crying. Su You, who was in her embrace, slowly blinked her eyes and started coughing. It was only after a long while did the Second Madam recover her strength. After that, Su You extended her hand and pulled Mu Yunyao tightly, “You … What do you mean by that.”

A trace of unbearable flashed through Second Madam’s eyes, but she nodded at Mu Yunyao, indicating for her to explain herself.

Mu Yunyao sat on the side of the bed and looked at Su You calmly, “The reason your body is so weak is that someone intentionally wants your life. Logically speaking, after being nurtured for so many years, it was normal for you to be twenty to thirty percent weaker than a normal girl, but never to the point where you are at the verge of death like today….”

Su You couldn’t help but cover her chest as he curled up into a ball.

The Second Madam cried out in fear and quickly hugged her, “You’er. Yunyao, quickly don’t say anymore. You’er, don’t scare your mother. What’s wrong with you? What’s the matter with you?”

Mu Yunyao stepped forward and pulled Su You up from Second Madam’s embrace, making her sit up straight. Her cold voice filled with unquestionable determination, “Su You, you have endured all these years of suffering. Can’t you bear this blow? If you are not strong, no one in this world can save you.”

Su You looked up, her face pale to the point of almost turning transparent, her entire body trembling uncontrollably, “I can’t live...”

“As long as you don’t want to die, as long as you believe in me, I’ll definitely let you live!” After Mu Yunyao finished speaking, she took out two silver needles from the needle bag she was carrying and pierced them into the acupoints on Su You’s chest.

Su You’s eyes widened hard as she felt the stifling feeling in her chest gradually dissipate. She looked at Mu Yunyao with a glimmer in her eyes, “You really can save me?”

“Like I said, as long as you don’t want to die, I can let you live.”

Su You grabbed onto Mu Yunyao’s arm tightly, her nails leaving small marks on her arm, “I don’t want to die. I want to live! I want to stay with Mother and Father! I want them to be happy. I want them to be happy and not to be sad because of me every day. I also want them to watch me get married and have children. Let them enjoy their relationship! I want to live!”

Mu Yunyao held her hand, “Alright! Then remember what you said today. No matter what, do not give up, and I will let you live!”

Su You slowly revealed a smile. Her eyes were no longer as lifeless as before. It seemed like a candle flame had been lit deep in the night. Although the flame was faint, it was firm and continued to burn, supporting her through the long night.

Mu Yunyao heaved a sigh of relief and slowly moved the silver needles, “I will prescribe a prescription to help you recuperate, but you have accumulated too much poison in your body, so I need to remove the poison first. You will inevitably suffer some pain.”

Su You shook her head. “I’m not afraid.”

“Good, there are two days until the Autumn Hunt. In these two days, I can help you clear out the poison in your body, and before I leave, I will leave a prescription using some mild and light medicinal herbs. You’ve lost your health too severely, so you’ll need a year or so to make up for it. You don’t need to worried.”

The Second Madam nodded her head hurriedly. “There’s no need to rush. As long as you can heal her body, we won’t be in a rush to do so, even if we have to spend a few more years. Yunyao, I really don’t know how to thank you.”

“I have my own selfish motives. I think, Second Aunt can guess it too.”

“That’s not the same. I know that you have the ability to do so. With me there to help you, it will only make things more appealing. You helping You’er recuperate is equivalent to saving her life. You have saved her for such a great favor. I am deeply grateful to you.”

Mu Yunyao wrote down the prescription and asked the Second Madam to prepare the medicinal ingredients. “Second Aunt, you must be careful with regards to the medicinal ingredients. You must never forget the mistake you made before. If you trust me, you can have someone secretly go to Chunhe Hall to gather the medicinal ingredients. Of course, the medicine prescribed by the Imperial Physician and other doctors should continue to be boiled. At most, let Elder Sister Su You have a few more flowerpots in her room.”

The Second Madam nodded her head repeatedly. “Alright, I’ll listen to you.”

Knowing that there was a problem with those medicines, she would definitely not let Su You continue drinking them. However, if she suddenly stopped drinking the prescription from before, it would arouse suspicion. She could only boil the medicine and pour it into the flower pot.

Mu Yunyao carefully examined Su You’s body. After thinking for a while and coming up with a few prescriptions. She also taught Second Madam a few massage methods and then returned to Jiyue Pavilion.

After more than ten days of effort, the Cinnabar Osmanthus flower bloomed season had passed. The leaves were slightly yellow now, and some had already begun to wilt. Although there was no more of the previous flourishing scenery, it was still quite interesting.

When Si Shu walked over and saw Mu Yunyao’s expression when she looked at the Cinnabar Osmanthus, she couldn’t help but say, “Miss, you will be leaving for the hunting grounds in two days. It’s better to have time to go to Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Lou today to take a look? If you have anything you aren’t satisfied with, you can let them rest in time.”

Mu Yunyao was a little tempted. Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo were in the process of being prepared. They are her foundation in the Capital. Many decorations didn’t need to be that meticulous in the Jingling City, but it differs in the Capital. They really can’t copy the old style.

“I’ll go upstairs to check on Mother first. Have someone prepare a carriage and send someone to Ning He Garden to report to Grandmother.”

“Yes, Miss.”

When Mu Yunyao went upstairs, Su Qing was still sleeping. So she could only instruct Si Qin and Si Qi before she leaves.

There was a message from the Old Madam that Mu Yunyao didn’t have to go to Ning He Garden to pay her respects in person and tell her to bring a few more maids with her when she left the residence.

Mu Yunyao knew that the Old Madam didn’t want to see her at the moment, so she was happy and at ease. She then took Jin Lan, Jin Qiao, Si Shu, and Si Hua out.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 354

~ MU YUNYAO’S DISCOVERY ~

The Second Madam’s fingers suddenly trembled as she raised her head to look at Mu Yunyao in bewilderment. “But … The Imperial Physician said that sweating was good for Su You....”

Mu Yunyao smiled slightly, her eyes calmly looking at the Second Madam, “Then after the Imperial Physician has treated Elder Sister Su You for so many years, has Elder Sister’s condition improved by a lot?”

The Second Madam slowly clenched her fist, the glint in her eyes becoming more and more pronounced. “I’ve invited quite a few doctors, and they all said that....”

“Second Aunt is in the backyard of the residence, so you must understand that no matter who it is, every people understands the principle of protecting their own life. Even if an ordinary doctor saw what the Imperial Physician had determined, would he retort rashly?”

“Yun… Yunyao.” The Second Madam’s face suddenly paled. If … If what Mu Yunyao said was true, then for so long, she felt that it was all for the sake of her daughter, but in reality, she was harming her. “Yunyao, you know medicine? Is what you said true?”

Mu Yunyao stretched out her hand to pull the back of Su You away a bit, then walked to the window and opened the window to let the smell in the room dissipate. “Elder Sister Su You’s foundation is bad, but after so many years of adjusting it, it should have more or less solidified. But instead, she still continued to grow weaker and weaker. Could it be that Second Aunt have not thought about the reason for this?”

The Second Madam watched Mu Yunyao’s movements, and her footsteps hesitated for a moment, but she did not speak to stop her. “I … I’ll get a thinner quilt.”

Seeing that she believed him, a smile appeared on Mu Yunyao’s lips. She stepped forward and touched Su You’s forehead, “Second Aunt, please get someone to prepare some hot water. Elder Sister Su You is covered in sweat and wearing wet clothes, so she must be extremely uncomfortable. It’s better to scrub her slightly and change into dry clothes.”

“Alright.”

The Second Madam nodded and slightly staggered when she walked out. About a quarter of an hour later, she personally carried the blanket into the room. After going out, her expression was much calmer than before. But her eyes were slightly red as if she had been crying.

Not long after, hot water was brought in. The Second Madam ordered the maids to retreat and personally wiped Su You’s body. Mu Yunyao helped from the side. Looking at the Second Madam’s skillful movements, it seemed like she had taken good care of Su You.

It was also why Mu Yunyao dared to reveal her medical skills in front of the Second Madam. Su You’s body was so weak, even if you called Taiyuan Hospital over, the chances of being rescued wouldn’t be much higher than hers. As long as the Second Madam wants to let Su you live longer, she wouldn’t reveal her medical skills. After helping Su You clean up and change into clean clothes, the Second Madam heaved a sigh of relief and gently covered Su You with a blanket: “Yunyao, I don’t know what to say, and I don’t know why you know so much about medicine. But I swear to you here that as long as you do your best to save Su You, I will do my best to repay you!

“The Second aunt, there’s no need to do this. Elder Sister Su You took care of me quite well. If I could help, I would naturally not stand by and watch. It’s just that....” Mu Yunyao’s expression carried some hesitation.

The Second Madam said quickly: “Please don’t worry. I’ll keep my mouth shut about You’er’s treatment, and I’ll find a way to get any medicine that you need. This time, when you go to Autumn Hunt, you can rest assured to leave sister Su Qing in residence. When you come back, sister Su Qing will be unharmed.”

Mu Yunyao shook her head, “That’s not what I want to say. But for Second Aunt to have such thoughts, Yunyao will be forever grateful.”

“Then, why did you looked hesitant on your face earlier? Did you have any worries?” Since it was related to Su You, the Second Madam would always think the worst things. Seeing Mu Yunyao deny it, her expression became even more anxious.

“Second aunt, have you ever thought about why Elder Sister Su You’s condition is worse today?”

“When I was pregnant with Su You, my womb was unstable. From the beginning of the pregnancy to the time I gave birth, I have to take medicine. I waited for the child to be born with great difficulty, but I didn’t expect her to be so weak and sickly. To be able to raise You’er until now, it was all due to my constantly on tenterhooks....”

As Second Madam spoke, she suddenly stopped talking. Looking at Mu Yunyao’s smiling expression, it was as if layers of dense fog had blown away from her heart, revealing a muddy, dark, and mottled, bloody truth. “Yunyao, do you mean something?”

Mu Yunyao gently pressed Su You’s wrist, carefully taking her pulse, “Actually, children may look fragile. But they are just like the crops in the fields. The seedlings may have experienced drought, waterlogging, grow chlorosis. But if they were taken care of carefully, they would still grow healthy and strong later. So, they are no different from those good seedlings.”

“Then why… why did my You’er....” The Second Madam’s entire body was trembling because the guess in her heart was too frightening, causing her lips to twitch in nervousness, and her words were a little difficult to speak. “Yunyao, tell me, did you discover something?”

Mu Yunyao placed Su You’s wrist under the embroidered quilt and indicated to Second Madam to come to the outer room. “I won’t hide it from Second Aunt. Previously, when I was in contact with Elder Sister Su You, I accidentally helped her take her pulse. The reason why she’s so weak is that her innate ability is lacking. What’s the more important reason is that she has not been well nurtured properly. Although she has eaten quite a few tonics, very few of them can actually heal her body. On the contrary, because she drank too much of the medicine and accumulated lot of poison, making her already fragile body more overwhelmed.”

“Poison?” The Second Madam’s eyes widened slightly as she tightly held onto Mu Yunyao’s hand. “Is what you said true?”

Mu Yunyao nodded her head, “Since I’ve exposed my medical skills, I naturally want to do my best to keep Elder Sister Su You safe. I hope Second Aunt can believe what I’ve said and follow my orders to help Elder Sister Su You recuperate.”

The Second Madam gritted her teeth and nodded heavily. “Alright, I’ll believe you. From today onwards, ou can do whatever you want to do to help Su You recuperate!”

“In that case, you don’t need to use the medicine that you just gave Elder Sister Su You. There is a taste of Pinellia ternata in the decoction, which has not been processed. Raw Pinellia ternata is poisonous, and even ordinary people would not be able to bear it, not to mention big sister Su You. ”

“Pinellia ternata....” After Su You being ill for a long time, the Second Madam becoming a good doctor, so she also knew about this medicine. The doctor that came to help Su You treat also said that because of her cough and phlegm, she had put some ginger and Pinellia in the medicine to suppress the cough and dissolve the phlegm. “Yunyao, are you sure you didn’t see wrongly? I… It’s not that I don’t believe you. It’s just that a doctor must have know that there’s poison in Pinellia ternata....”

“I can confirm that the medicine does contain raw Pinellia ternata. If Second Aunt doesn’t believe me, you can get someone to find the herb dregs and disguise as an ordinary person to bring them to the medicine shop to ask, and you will know it after a test.”

“Why…? Those medicinal herbs were all good ones? Why would there be a raw Pinellia ternata mixed in with them?” The Second Madam suppressed the anger in her heart with all her might. At this moment, her voice was a bit hoarse, and the light in her eyes flickered with hatred. “Su You is just a girl. She is poor in health, and her appearance is not very outstanding. Could it be that there’s someone in residence can’t tolerate her?” Mu Yunyao lowered her eyes slightly. “This is also something that I can’t figure out no matter how much I think about it....”
