~ ZHANG WAN’S STORY, THE WIND AND RAIN URGED THE FLOWERS TO FALL ~
Su Qingwu’s expression was indifferent as he carried Zhang Wan across the front yard, “Even if I were to appease the Sixth Princess, the fact that someone from the Su family poisoned her food would definitely cause a huge commotion. Moreover, once I chase the Sixth Princess, you will commit suicide. It’s better to follow your wishes like this.”
Zhang Wan couldn’t help but chuckle. The wound on her chest caused her face to turn pale from the pain when she laughed. “People said that you’re such a smart person. How did you end up like this now?”
Su Qingwu remained silent. After placing Zhang Wan on the bed, he instructed the others to go to the doctor quickly.
Zhang Wan pulled Su Qingwu’s sleeves, “Su Qingwu, do you have a heart?”
Su Qingwu calmly looked back at her. “In your eyes, I should not have one.”
“No, you do.” Zhang Wan stared fixedly at Su Qingwu’s chest as if she wanted to look into his heart through flesh and blood. “I saw an osmanthus tree in your heart. The tree is full of golden and brilliant osmanthus flowers. There was a breeze blowing, the flowers and trees rustling, a little osmanthus falling, swept up by the wind, straight up to the blue sky and nine skies....”
Su Qingwu subconsciously turned around, avoiding Zhang Wan’s gaze. “You....”
Zhang Wan smiled, “It seems that I’m right. It’s not that you don’t have a heart. It’s just that you already have someone else in your heart. I am glad to see you like this, because the person in your heart is the person you will never be able to ask for in your entire life. Slowly, you will be able to experience the feelings I had when I was let down in the first place hahaha.... hahaha....”
Zhang Wan laughed loudly. Her smile was filled with deep sorrow as her tears rolled down: “When you enter my lovesickness door, you know that I have a hard time with lovesickness. Knowing that I miss you so much, often reminiscing about each other repeatly for a long time. If I knew earlier that I would have fallen for you like this, I didn’t want to know you in the first place? Su Qingwu, I hate you!”
When she had seen that young man riding a horse and viewing a flower on the street for the first time, her mind was instantly distracted. When she had learned that they had an engagement, she had been so happy that she had not been able to sleep for several days.
She looked up at him at all times, remembered all the news about him in her heart, and looked forward to being able to put on the wedding dress and become his wife. She gave this person the best expectations in her life, but in the end, it was only in exchange for a disappointment.……
Looking at Zhang Wan’s pale face, Su Qingwu’s heart couldn’t help but tremble. “Zhang Wan …”
Zhang Wan looked a little dazed. She tried her best to turn her head and look toward Su Qingwu, “I’m going to die … Can you come over and hug me?”
Su Qingwu hesitated.
“Don’t you even want to help me fulfill my final wish?”
“You’ll be fine. The doctor will be back soon.”
“Qingwu, it’s so cold. Can’t you come and hug me?” Zhang Wan stubbornly turned her head, trying her best to stretch out her arm and look in the direction of Su Qingwu.
In the end, Su Qingwu couldn’t bear to sit on the edge of the bed and hold Zhang Wan’s hand. In the end, he was the one who betrayed her heart.
Zhang Wan’s lips curved into a smile, “It’s all in the past now. From today onwards, we will not owe each other anything.”
Su Qingwu had a bad premonition and lowered his head to look at Zhang Wan’s eyes. “Zhang Wan, I …”
Before he could finish his sentence, Zhang Wan pulled their hands together and pressed them fiercely against the blade at her chest. With a pfft sound, the dagger entered her body.
Zhang Wan started twitching, and blood kept flowing out from the corner of her lips.
Su Qingwu’s hands were stained with blood, and he looked tremblingly at Zhang Wan, who was still smiling. “Why?”
There was blood flowing out of Zhang Wan’s throat, and she was utterly speechless. She tried her best to open her eyes and look at the camellias on the windowsill not far away.
Camellia Flower...
The flowers are as delicate as a beauty’s face, each petal looking just the same. They were arranged neatly on the wheel’s top and surrounded the golden stamen, exuding an unmatched beauty.
Why? She wants to know why, too?
Why did he make an engagement at the beginning but didn’t marry her when they were already engaged? Why did he allow let others push her into a wolf’s mouth back on the hunting grounds? Why was it that when she had ruined her appearance and despaired, what greeted her was not comfort but mockery and ridicule from the Sixth Princess? Why is it that until now, there was still love lingering around when she should have hated him to the core?
The light in front of her eyes slowly faded away, leaving only the camellia flowers on the windowsill a little bit of color …
Mu Yunyao … If there was an afterlife, She can’t say that the two of them would become good friends... It’s her last regret that she didn’t have time to say goodbye...
The window was suddenly blown open by the wind, and the camellias pot on the window sill trembled by the wind and rain. The flowerpot accidentally hit the window sill in the end, and the flowerpot instantly shattered, falling outside the window into the rain ….
After the heavy rain, the Capital was in an uproar.
The Sixth Princess was poisoned and rushed back in heavy rain to return to the Palace. She knelt down and asked to see the Emperor. Zhang Wan had died, and the Great Scholar had made his way to the Su family’s residence...
When Mu Yunyao heard the news, the teacup in her hand wasn’t steady and directly smashed onto the ground.
Jin Lan and Jin Qiao quickly cleaned it up, “Miss, don’t be too sad. Lady Zhang, … people can’t be resurrected from the dead...”
“Zhang Wan…” Mu Yunyaofelt sour and astringent in her heart. Looking through the window at the rain that was getting heavier and heavier, she let out a heavy sigh. “Go ask when they’re going to hold the funeral. We’re friends, so I want to mourn her and pay her respects. It’s her last time, so I want to see her off to her last journey.”
“Yes, Miss.”
The Emperor didn’t want to pay any more attention to the Sixth Princess, but since her mother was begging, he gave way and allowed the Sixth Princess to return to the Palace.
Not long after, Zhang Zhong, the Great Scholar, wailed as he entered the Palace, accusing Su Qingwu, a first-class guard, of plotting to murder Zhang Wan.
The Emperor no longer had any patience with the Su family. He immediately ordered Su Wenyuan and Su Qingwu to be removed from their official positions and temporarily locked up in the Ministry of Justice for trial.
The Sixth Princess was heartbroken. But after hearing the news, she struggled to run over to the Emperor and begged for mercy, “Imperial Father, Zhang Wan committed suicide. It had nothing to do with Su Qingwu. At that time, my maids and I saw it with our own eyes. She stabbed herself with a dagger. I ask for Imperial Father’s understanding.”
The Emperor looked at the Sixth Princess, his eyes filled with disappointment. “Huaiyang, how long are you going to make trouble?”
“Imperial Father… Imperial Father… ” The Six Princesses looked up and saw the Emperor’s eyes with a strange expression. She only felt her heart sinking, “Imperial Father, what I said was all true.”
“I don’t care if what you said is true or not. Under the golden words, this imperial edict absolutely cannot be changed. Go back and tell your mother that she’ll come out and let her out for a request for mercy so that you and Su Qingwu separate.”
“No, Imperial Father, I disagree with you. I … I also still like Su Qingwu….”
The Emperor slightly narrowed his eyes and suppressed the irritation in his heart. “Are you sure? If you don’t separate with Su Qingwu now, there will be no chance in the future.”
“No, not apart.”
“Alright, someone, bring the Sixth Princess down and temporarily imprison her in Ning’an Palace. Without my decree, no one is allowed to visit.”
“Yes.”
“Imperial Father, Imperial Father, please shown you mercy....”

This sixth princess really loves su qingwu or does she has possessives 🤔?
ReplyDeleteI can't say I agree with ZW's actions, but I can't help but admire her, maybe even more than MY. Unlike MY, she had no past experience to prepare her for the betrayal, but once she decided to seek revenge she did not waver until the end, although I can't say whether it was out of courage or desperation.
ReplyDeleteZhang Wan would become the next Mu Yunyao if she ever gets reborn again. I just hope that she won’t target Yunyao in that life. 😞
ReplyDeleteOoh.. book 2 for the author..
DeleteI sad about Zhang Wan sad ending. But ultimately I think such ending is better than still being alive. She’ll never get that love Su Qingwu that she had long hope for. And the Su family is just an endless pit that isn’t made out for human beings to be living in.
