Intense Love Chapter 106

~ LOVE RIVAL ~

Su Jinbei and Zhou Shiyun ate at Zhang Chao’s house at lunchtime.

“Xiao Yuan, Doctor Zhang, I’m back.” Suddenly, a crisp female voice rang out at the door.

Xiao Yuan quickly jumped off the chair with a look of excitement, “Sister is back! Sister is back!”

Zhang Chao was also surprised, “Zizi? Why are you back at this time.”

Su Jinbei looked at Liu Tingting. “Who is Zizi?”

Liu Tingting said, “It’s Xiao Yuan’s elder sister, a rare college student in our village.”

“Xiao Yuan also has an older sister.”

“Yes, both of their parents have died since they were young. Later, their grandmother, who cared for them, also passed away. Xiao Yuan was adopted by Doctor Zhang, and Zizi was funded to go college, and she will only come back during the winter and summer vacations.”

Su Jinbei nodded and turned her head to look outside. At this time, the girl named Zizi was also welcomed by Zhang Chao and his son.

“Brother Shiyun, you are actually here. I originally wanted to go to your medical team to see you later.” As soon as Yang Zizi entered the door, all her eyes were on Zhou Shiyun’s body.

Zhou Shiyun nodded slightly when she saw her and didn’t say anything else.

“Zizi, why are you back today? Is it a holiday?”

“I should have waited a while before returning, but I heard that Brother Shiyun and the teams were all here, so I came back first.”
Zhang Chao lightly coughed, and his eyes stopped weirdly on Su Jinbei’s body. “ You just come back and hungry. Then put down your luggage and sit down for lunch.”

“Okay.”

Zhou Shiyun’s left is Su Jinbei, and an empty seat is on the right. Yang Zizi sat down without hesitation on that seat.

“Brother Shiyun, how long will you stay here this time, and when will you leave?” Yang Zizi asked in a delicate voice.

“In a few more days.” Zhou Shiyun took a bite of the food and put it in the Su Jinbei bowl, “What are you doing? You don’t want to eat it.”

Yang Zizi paused and finally saw someone other than Zhou Shiyun in her eyes, “Ah. ......you, you are......”

Yang Zizi went to college outside, exposing her to information from the outside world. However, she should have paid more attention to the entertainment industry. She felt familiar with Su Jingbei at this time, but she didn’t remember her name.

Su Jingbei looked at her with a smile. Only those who knew her would know a needle was hidden in her smile.

“Hello, your name is Zizi, right? I’m Su Jinbei.”

“Su Jinbei...My roommate mentioned you, and she likes you very much.” Yang Zizi was a little unbelievable and a little excited. The big star on TV actually appeared in her house!

“But how could you...”

“Zizi, you don’t know, right? Jinbei is Shiyun’s fiancée.” Zhang Chao quickly explained. Hey, this girl should stop showing her likes so clearly.

On the other side, Su Jinbei still kept smiling. She watched Yang Zizi’s original excited expression instantly freeze, “No... fiancée? How is that possible?...”

Su Jinbei nodded sincerely and leaned on Zhou Shiyun’s shoulder very naturally. “It is true, little sister. We are lovers.”

Yang Zizi’s eyes slowly turned red. She looked at Zhou Shiyun and asked in disbelief, “Brother Shiyun, is this true?”

Zhou Shiyun nodded lightly, “En.”

After speaking, he gave Su Jinbei another dish, “What are you looking for? You still don’t want to eat.”

Of course, the scene deeply hurt Yang Zizi’s feelings, “Dr. Zhang, I just sat in the car for a long time, so I feel a little dizzy. I think I want to go to rest first.”

Afterward, she ran upstairs with her bag without waiting for Zhang Chao to answer.

Zhang Chao looked at Su Jinbei awkwardly, “This, that...”

Su Jinbei didn’t get angry because she saw that her baby Zhou didn’t react.

“Have a meal, let’s have a meal. Let’s save some for Sister Zizi.”

Zhang Chao saw that Su Jinbei was not angry, so he was relieved.

In fact, Yang Zizi’s college expenses were all funded by Zhou Shiyun. This girl had been clinging to him when Zhou Shiyun returned to the village for the first time. She talked about Zhou Shiyun daily and never forgot him, even when she went to college. Zhang Chao saw it in his eyes but knew that Zhou Shiyun didn’t care about her.

Fortunately, now that she saw Su Jinbei, perhaps her feelings for Zhou Shiyun would die.

After lunch, Liu Tingting went to school, and Su Jinbei went to her house to change her clothes. Of course, she also dragged Zhou Shiyun over.

After closing the door, Su Jinbei pushed Zhou Shiyun onto the door.

“What’s the matter? Why is there a love rival in the deep mountains and forests?”

Zhou Shiyun was stunned, “What kind of rival.”

“That college student, Miss Yang Zizi. Not bad, Zhou Shiyun, such a little girl, was also hooked up over you.”

Zhou Shiyun looked down at her. He said, “Hook up? Can you use your words more accurately?”

Su Jinbei snorted, “What kind of words did I use? Anyway, I can see that she likes you.”

“Oh, really.” Zhou Shiyun pursed his lips, “But what’s the problem with that.”

Su Jinbei choked. There is no problem...

“From now on, I will put a label on you. You are mine, and no one is allowed to covet you. If someone dares to do it. Somebody needs to think carefully, or I will kill.”

Yang Zizi shuddered in the distance for no reason. Who is talking about me?

Zhou Shiyun smiled slightly, “Who would dare to rob me of you?”

“That’s true.” Su Jinbei raised her eyebrows, “After all, I can’t be robbed. Who makes my baby Zhou only like me.”

Su Jinbei said while touching his chest and abdomen irregularly with her hands. Zhou Shiyun stretched out his hand to hold her, and his eyes were dangerous, “Su Jinbei.”

Su Jinbei winked, “I’ll just touch it and won’t do anything.”

Zhou Shiyun, “...”

Perhaps she quickly stirred his body because he had already experienced the ultimate sensation. Zhou Shiyun frowned, and his face looked a little uncomfortable.

Su Jinbei leaned on him and suddenly felt something against her lower body. Su Jinbei was stunned for a while. When she just wanted to lower her head to look down, Zhou Shiyun immediately clasped her chin with one hand, “If you want to change clothes, you should change them quickly. Don’t dawdle.”

Su Jinbei blinked, with embarrassment on her face, “Baby Zhou...”

Zhou Shiyun decisively held her shoulder, turned her around, and sent her into the room. Then he stepped out and closed the door.

Su Jinbei knocked twice on the door from inside, “Hey, what are you...cough cough. Don’t be shy. Anyway, I’ve seen it all.”

Zhou Shiyun took a deep breath. Shy? He just doesn’t want to do anything in other people’s places!

Incurable Chapter 31 Part 1

Chapter 31 (1/2)

A cool breeze rose in the early morning, carrying the sweet freshness of growing things.

Mu Wan’s ears softened with heat as she looked up at the man before her. He was looking at her too—just as he always had, and yet not the same as before.

So this was what mutual affection felt like. Even the way the other person looked at you tasted sweet.

Mu Wan clutched at Liu Qianxiu’s Taoist robe. A trace of chill clung to the fabric, while her own breath burned hot in her throat. Rising onto her toes, she leaned toward his lips.

“Then I want to kiss—”

Before she could reach him, Liu Qianxiu lifted his gaze and pressed her head into his chest. Her ear landed against him, and the steady beat of his heart rang through her like sound carried inside a conch shell, the echo enough to leave her tingling.

“Qingchan is coming.”

Mu Wan wrapped both arms around his lean, firm waist. Her face was burning, yet she let out a low laugh.

Qingchan had only been afraid Mu Wan might not be able to find Junior Brother Qianxiu, so after setting down his broom, he hurried after her. But his little legs were slow, and by the time he arrived, he saw that Junior Brother Qianxiu had once again gathered Sister Mu Wan into his arms.

Qianxiu looked calm, as though he were used to handling this sort of situation. Which made sense. After all, the same thing had happened last night, too. Clearly, Sister Mu Wan was often held like this by Junior Brother Qianxiu.

The little Taoist stopped where he was, his cloth shoes flecked with a little mud, small and adorable, and asked, “Is Sister feeling bad again?”

The woman in Liu Qianxiu’s arms gave a soft laugh and bit his shoulder. The pressure was light, her small teeth only gently closing, soft and faintly ticklish. Liu Qianxiu’s Adam’s apple shifted. He lowered his gaze to Qingchan and said, “No. She just wants me to hold her.”

Qingchan’s world was still very small. He did not understand why Sister Mu Wan, already so grown, liked clinging to Junior Brother Qianxiu so much. In his mind, only children like himself were clingy, the ones who needed adults to coax them to sleep.

Still, since she was fine, he relaxed. Tilting his head up, he said to Liu Qianxiu, “Junior Brother, I’m hungry.”

Qingchan trotted back to the Taoist temple first, his footsteps fading into the distance. Mu Wan straightened out of Liu Qianxiu’s arms. She glanced after the child; his back had already disappeared from sight. Then she turned back to Liu Qianxiu and looked up at him. Her face was red to the tips of her ears, but her mouth was still stubborn.

“Not only do I want you to hold me,” she said, “I also want you to ki—”

She never finished.

The man cupped her face in both hands, his palms dry and cool. Mu Wan’s red lips parted. She looked at him, and then he lowered his head and kissed her.

Her mouth was nothing like stubborn. It was soft, warm, like a perfectly ripened peach—pink at the center, sweet and brimming with juice.

When the kiss ended, Mu Wan could barely remain standing. Liu Qianxiu lowered his head to look at her, his eyes dark. He gazed at the damp sheen gathered at the corners of her eyes and lips, still slightly parted, and his voice dropped low and rough.

“What else do you want?”

It was as though her mind had detached from her body. Everything in her felt numb and weak. She could still feel the warmth of his mouth lingering on hers. Looking up at him, her throat dry, she managed at last to say in a trembling voice—

“I still want breakfast.”

His brows lifted slightly.

Liu Qianxiu looked at her for a long moment, the depth in his eyes gradually clearing. A quiet sound escaped his throat. He reached out and ruffled her hair, then took her hand.

Their fingers interlocked. Liu Qianxiu’s hand closed around hers. As he led Mu Wan away, he asked, “Mm. What do you want to eat?”

In the end, the sun never quite rose above the horizon. Dense clouds gathered again, and once they became too heavy for the sky to contain, they broke into rain.

August was approaching, and the rain was no longer as fierce as it had been in July. Fine threads of rain fell like crystal curtains from the dark sky, washing the stone slabs in the courtyard until they gleamed clean.

The incense burner at the center of the courtyard had gone out. There was nothing to shelter the temple on the mountaintop, and the wind swept in as well, carrying damp, rain-cool air that felt clean and refreshing.

Mu Wan sat on a prayer cushion, one hand holding a book, the other propping up her cheek as she gazed outside.

Across from her sat Liu Qianxiu. Beside Liu Qianxiu sat Qingchan. The three of them each occupied one corner of the table.

After breakfast, Mu Wan had not yet had time to be all lovey-dovey with Liu Qianxiu before Senior Brother Qingchan had already urged Junior Brother Qianxiu to come to the main hall for morning lessons. Qingchan did not know too many characters, but he had a steady nature and especially loved the anecdotes from The Art of War. Listening again and again, Mu Wan had practically memorized the Thirty-Six Stratagems by now.

While the Taoist brothers did their morning lesson, she joined them with a romance novel of her own, one of those sweet, sticky pampering stories where the hero and heroine understood each other completely and every interaction was sugary enough to rot teeth.

Then she looked at Liu Qianxiu.

His brows were pale and elegant, his expression cool and clean. Lowering his eyes, he read from the book in his hand. Draped in a plain Taoist robe, he looked every inch the upright gentleman. She was sitting directly across from him, and yet he seemed entirely unmoved.

This morning, he had clearly said that if she wanted affection, he would give it; if she wanted desire, he would give that too...

But the present Taoist Liu seemed to have nothing at all to do with those words.

Mu Wan drew back her gaze and glanced lightly at Qingchan. The little Taoist was propping up his chin in both hands, listening to Junior Brother Qianxiu’s explanation with bright interest, utterly engrossed.

She turned a page in her novel, lowered her eyes, and let the corners of her lips lift.

From the moment she had sat down, she had been barefoot. At first, her feet were tucked under her legs, and she could not feel much. But once she slid them out, the air immediately felt cool against her skin.

Without changing expression, she stretched out both legs. Her toes probed forward.

And at last, they touched something warm.

“This part is about...” The voice across from her stopped.

Mu Wan kept her head lowered, a smile faintly curving her lips. Her toes stroked twice across his knee. Her feet were white as snow, her toenails painted with bright red lacquer, charming and playful.

“And then? Junior Brother, what happens next?” Qingchan noticed nothing. He lifted his little face eagerly toward Liu Qianxiu and pressed for more.

Liu Qianxiu raised his eyes.

Across from him, the woman’s lips were tipped in a smile. She kept her head lowered over her book, her expression unchanged. At the same time, her toes brushed him again, light and teasing.

“And then...” Liu Qianxiu lowered his eyes once more and continued the lesson.

At the same time, he reached out and caught both of her misbehaving feet in one hand.

His palm was dry and faintly warm. The force was not strong, yet it felt as if he had suddenly seized the very point most fatal to her. A numbing sensation shot from the soles of her feet straight to her heart. Mu Wan shivered and looked up in a rush, unable to stop a soft little cry.

“Ah.”

She did not pull free. The two Taoist brothers’ eyes landed on her at once. Heat flooded through her body. Meeting Liu Qianxiu’s gaze, she frowned. She shifted her feet slightly, her eyes telling him to let go.

“Sister, what’s wrong?” Qingchan asked with concern.

“I...” Mu Wan braced both hands on the low table, trying to hold herself steady. Her face was hot, and a cold sweat had already broken out. Looking at Liu Qianxiu, she said, “I need to...”

“Her feet are cold,” Liu Qianxiu said calmly.

Mu Wan’s struggling halted.

The man’s hand shifted at her feet. The soles that had been cold a moment ago slowly began to warm beneath his palm.

He was warming her feet for her.

Mu Wan’s lips curled upward at once.

“Oh? Then should you put on shoes...” Qingchan started to duck under the table to check for himself.

Before he could go any lower, Liu Qianxiu reached over and straightened him upright again. Without looking up from the book, he said to Qingchan, “No need. They’re warm now.”

~ Scared Me To Death ~

Su Jinbei leaned against the wall and watched Zhou Shiyun busy. At this time, he is communicating with the patients with a solemn expression and a cold face.

Looking at this, Su Jinbei couldn’t help but chuckle. Who would have thought that Zhou Shiyun was another beast in bed? What to do? Only she can see it, so she feels so proud.

“Jinbei.” Suddenly someone patted her on the shoulder. Su Jinbei was taken aback and turned around. “Xiaowei, you scared me to death.”

“What’s so scary about this? You scared me to death last night.”

“Uh .... about this.”

“You don’t know. Because you are missing, Senior Brother yelled at me. “Lin Qingwei said in fear, “You know my Senior Brother has never yelled at anyone like that before. I was so frightened by him and thought that my life was almost gone.”

Su Jingbei was startled, “Why is he yelling at you.”

“Because I lost you. When Senior Brother went out, he told me to watch you, but I let you out alone outside.”

“It’s not your fault. It’s my own problem.”

“No... ... Senior Brother is right. You are a girl, and I am really careless.” Lin Qingwei came over ambiguously after speaking, “But Jinbei, thanks to you this time, let me appreciate how Senior Brother has lost his temper.”

“...”

“In my mind, Senior Brother has always been calm and composed. He will not change his face no matter what happens. But when he hears you didn’t come back, his facial expression changes ... ckckckck.”

Su Jinbei pursed her lips lightly and looked at Zhou Shiyun.

Lin Qingwei continued, “Senior Brother kept looking for you with a flashlight. He didn’t wear a raincoat or an umbrella. He has been looking for you for more than an hour. It’s a miracle that he didn’t get sick.”

“He... Is it true that he has been looking for me so long?”

“It’s true. I am not lying. I don’t know what would have happened if I hadn’t found you.” Lin Qingwei said, “It really scares me to death.”

Su Jinbei smiled quietly. It turned out that he was so worried about her.

How could she not love Zhou Shiyun?

“Uncle Zhou, Uncle Zhou, Sister Jinbei.” At this moment, Xiao Yuan ran here, followed by Liu Tingting and Zhang Chao.

Zhou Shiyun slightly curled his lips and smiled, “Behind you.”

Xiao Yuan turned around, looked behind him, and saw that Su Jinbei was standing there. He hurriedly ran towards her, “Sister Jinbei, are you okay? Dad said that you fell to find me. I’m ... I’m sorry. It’s Xiao Yuan’s fault.”

Su Jinbei knelt and touched his head, “Sister is fine, but Xiao Yuan must remember that he must not run around after this time. Xiao Yuan also should listen to your father and Teacher Tingting’s words.”

“Well, I won’t do it again...”

“That’s good.”

“Sister Jinbei, would you like to come to my house for lunch today? Xiao Yuan will give you all my favorite meat.”

Su Jinbei couldn’t help but laugh, “You are so generous. I must go then.”

“Yeah, the dishes made by Dad and Teacher Tingting are delicious.”

Liu Tingting also walked up, looking up and down at Su Jinbei’s clothes. “Jinbei, your clothes are...”

“Zhou Shiyun.”

“Ah ......” For a moment, Liu Tingting was taken aback, “Well, do you want to come back to sleep at night in my house?.”

When she asked, everyone in the neighborhood pricked up their ears.

Su Jinbei coughed, glanced at Zhou Shiyun, and said, “Well, ask him.”

Liu Tingting wondered, “Didn’t you say the bed was too small? How did you two sleep? Jinbei, you better go back to my house to sleep.”

Su Jinbei almost laughed out loud. Why is this child so upright? Such words can be said directly.

“It’s so small, but I found it quite suitable for two people to sleep. Isn’t it, Baby Zhou?” Su Jinbei shouted.

Everyone’s gaze shifted to Zhou Shiyun’s body. It was rare to see a slight hint of unnatural appearance on Zhou Shiyun’s face.”You go back to Tingting’s house first and change your clothes.”

He doesn’t answer her questions directly, and he seems to be shy. Su Jinbei raised her eyebrows and took Liu Tingting’s hand triumphantly, “Well, it’s almost lunchtime. I’ll go to Xiao Yuan’s house and wait for you to come later.”

Zhou Shiyun threw a glance at the people around him. “What are you doing? You’re not working yet.”

The doctors and nurses stared coldly, and with a snap, they withdrew their eyes.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 345

~ DUMBFOUNDED ELDEST MADAM ~

Shen Binghuai took the wooden box. When he saw the so-called silver notes, he frowned deeply. “This is not silver notes. It is clearly a pile of waste paper.” “Impossible!” The Eldest Madam screamed and went forward to grab a few pieces of silver notes. She carefully examined them in her hands and found that some of the ink marks on the edges of the silver notes had already fainted, blurring people’s vision to the point that they couldn’t clearly see the amount. It was clearly a fake. “This box hasn’t been touched since it was handed over yesterday. It must be fake as soon as it was handed over!”

Mu Yunyao’s face turned pale. “Eldest Aunt, all of the silver notes used at tNi Yun fang and Bu Xian Luo issued by Chang He. They all have stubs there and can never be faked....”

The Eldest Madam panicked to the extreme. “So what? Could it be that you deliberately fake these banknotes? I never thought that you would have such malicious thoughts at such a young age! ”

“I’ve been staying at Baohua Temple for the past few days. Even when I was in residence, I still stayed in Jiyue Pavilion obediently. May I ask if I have the chance or the ability to falsify a banknote to frame you? You think too highly of me.”

The Eldest Madam turned her head to look at Su Wenyuan in panic. With a resolute tone, she said, “Master, I haven’t touched this wooden box since it was delivered here. I don’t even know what the silver notes inside are like. It must be Mu Yunyao who framed me!”

Mu Yunyao shook her head slightly. She looked at the Eldest Madam with a strange gaze, as if she had just realized her true appearance, “Eldest Aunt, as long as I send silver banknotes and other valuables, I will let people put them in boxes. After that, the box’s edge is sealed with wax, and it will be locked. If you say you haven’t touched it, what about the sealing wax and the lock on the box?”

“How would I know what this box is like when it has been delivered here!”

“Nonsense!” Cough cough … Yun Chun was very excited and coughed a few times before she got over it, “When I sent the box over, it was clear that the sealing wax and the lock were intact, but now it’s been opened … You must have done something....”

Mu Yunyao shook her head and seemed disappointed to the extreme. “Yun Chun, don’t say anymore. These two hundred thousand taels of silver … Just forget it, and let’s pretend that it never existed. If worse comes to worst, we can postpone the opening of Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo in the Capital for a few months. Now, Mother and I only want to move out, and I have asked Eldest Uncle and Eldest Aunt to agree.”

“No, I have to make this matter clear. If you are so vague about it, I will lose my reputation lose. What if the word spread around? Everyone will think that I, the dignified lady of Su family, am greedy for your silver!”

“Eldest Aunt, why must you persist when things have come to this point? You clearly knew that Lord Shen’s rank was one level lower than Eldest Uncle’s and that without His Majesty’s approval, it would be impossible for him to investigate this matter. Could Eldest Aunt be willing to have someone search the room?”

The Eldest Madam gritted her teeth and looked at Su Wenyuan. She had to clean herself of this matter. If she could not prove her innocence and could only cover it up, her reputation would be completely ruined. Once her reputation was ruined, it would definitely implicate Su Yuyi, who she had raised with her own hands.

“Alright, as long as I can prove my innocence, I will let you search the courtyard. If the clear is cleared, and the muddy is muddled. Only those with dark minds and dark hearts are spend the whole day fighting with evil people and spending their time with the heart of a villain, but the belly of a gentleman.”

When Su Wenyuan saw his wife’s resolute expression, his heart relaxed a little. What had happened before was a little too complicated to explain. The crime of being greedy for two hundred thousand taels of silver could not be committed any further. Seeing his wife’s expression, it was clear that she hadn’t touched the banknotes at all. If that were the case, it would be impossible to have so much silver appearing out of nowhere without fear of being found.

“Madam’s words are reasonable. In order to prove the innocence of my Su family and prevent rumours from being spread outside, it is also fine to search the courtyard. It just so happens that Lord Shen is present and can be a witness from the side.”

Shen Binghuai looked a little troubled. “Isn’t this a bit inappropriate?”

Su Wen Yuan said: “Don’t worry, Lord Shen, I spoke of it myself. No matter what happened, I will not implicate Lord Shen. Even if the Emperor were to ask, I would explain it to him.”

Not long after, the Eldest Madam’s room was searched, but nothing was found.

The Eldest Madam sneered, “Mu Yunyao, you should believe me now, right?”

“Who knows if the Eldest Madam has hidden the banknotes somewhere else?” Jin Lan spoke up angrily.

“Jin Lan, shut up!” Mu Yunyao turned around and berated her. “Apologize to Eldest Aunt.”

Jin Lan unwillingly stepped forward and bowed. “Your servant’s words have no meaning. Eldest Madam, please punish me.”

“Heh, alright. Since you’ve already searched my room once, you might as well search the entire East Courtyard. I have a clear conscience, so naturally, I am not afraid of the villains!” The Eldest Madam immediately ordered the maidservants and mamas, “Keep searching. Shuntian Manor’s men, please watch from the side.”

The East Courtyard was huge, so the search was naturally not that quick. After a while, a maidservant came by and asked, “Madam, do we still need to open the storehouse?”

There wasn’t anything shameful in the East Courtyard’s storeroom, so the Eldest Madam just nodded. “Qi Mama, go back to my room and get my key. Let these people search thoroughly.”

Mu Yunyao quietly stood at the side. Seeing that Su Qing’s expression was sad, she comforted her in a small voice, as if she didn’t care about the search results.

After about a quarter of an hour, an official of the Shuntian Manor came over with a stack of silver banknotes in his hand. “Lord Shen, we’ve found them.”

The Eldest Madam felt as if her ears had been struck by lightning, causing her to be struck dumb on the spot. What ... what? What did you find? ”

Su Wenyuan was also stunned. He stared at the stack of banknotes as he strode forward to pick up a piece of the banknotes. These banknotes were issued by Chang He, and each banknote was worth a thousand taels of silver. This thick stack of banknotes was really captivating.

The Eldest Madam came back to her senses, disbelief written all over her face. She stepped forward and grabbed the banknotes, “Impossible. Where did you find all these banknotes?”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 344

~ I’M MOVING OUT ~

Su Wenyuan felt his face burning. Previously, he had just said that the Su family treated Mu Yunyao like family. But in the blink of an eye, the matter of Mu Yunyao being beaten up the next day when she came to the Su family had exploded out. This reversal seemed to have smacked him in the face.

A while ago, Mu Yunyao had slapped the Young Miss of the Meng family, and the people were still talking about it. Naturally, Shen Binghui had heard of it before, but he wasn’t clear about the details.

Before Su Yuyi had been knocked out, the Eldest Madam had sent people to get a doctor. At this moment, the Su family’s usual doctor, Huang Qin, was rushing over with a medicine box. When he saw the scene in the yard, he was shocked.

When Jin Lan saw Doctor Huang, she hastily pulled him over without care about etiquette. “Are you a doctor? Come and help us to take our Miss’s pulse. See if her body has been damaged?”

Huang Qin did not understand what she meant. After he was dragged over, his expression became somewhat flustered: “Miss, what with the proper behavior of pulling and tugging? Please let me go.”

The Eldest Madam was worried about Su Yuyi, but with Shen Binghuai present, she couldn’t force herself to bring Huang Qin away to prevent him from checking Mu Yunyao’s pulse. Otherwise, she would have to redeem her reputation for treating Mu Yunyao harshly.

Su Wenyuan did not stop them. Back then, they had only hit Mu Yunyao twice, so no matter how delicate she was, they shouldn’t be able to hurt her. He told Doctor Huang to check Mu Yunyao’s pulse properly to clear the suspicion, so the Su family’s reputation would not be too bad.

Mu Yunyao’s face was pale, but her expression was still relatively calm. “Doctor Huang, the maidservant is harmless. Please forgive her. She’s just too worried about me.”

Dr. Huang was calmer, “Is there something wrong with Miss?”

Jin Lan said anxiously from the side: “Miss was beat by stick a few days ago. Would you mind if Doctor Huang could see if there were any hidden dangers in Miss’s body?”

Doctor Huang nodded, gesturing for Mu Yunyao to stretch out her hand and take her pulse through the silk handkerchief.

The time he took to feel Mu Yunyao’s pulse was a bit long. Su Qing was very nervous, so she stepped forward and tightly held Mu Yunyao’s other hand.

“Mother, don’t be too nervous. There should be nothing wrong.” Mu Yunyao comforted Su Qing softly.

Doctor Huang retracted his finger, and his expression was very solemn: “This Young Miss had been beaten a few days ago?”

“Yes, I was beaten twice with staffs.”

“No wonder. If I didn’t make a wrong diagnosis, Young Miss should have been weak when she was young. Even though you looked healthy now, your body was weaker than an ordinary person. Although it was only twice, it had injured the insides of this Young Miss. It was not obvious now, but in the future …it may be a hindrance to have children...”

Mu Yunyao’s face was pale to the extreme as she said in disbelief, “Isn’t it just beaten twice with sticks, Doctor? Why it so serious?”

“It has nothing to do with being beaten a few times. The key point is the strength when being hit. If the strength is used skillfully, even a simple knock is enough to produce a bad effect.”

The Eldest Madam’s eyes were wide open as she glared fiercely at Doctor Huang, “Doctor Huang, is your diagnosis accurate?” This Huang Qin’s medical skills are very brilliant. For many years, whenever that master of the Su family felt uncomfortable, they had to invite him to come and see him.

“If the Eldest Madam does not believe me, you can ask another doctor to take a pulse for this Young Miss. After all these years, the Su family has always been kind to me. Thus, I’m speaking the truth about it. This Young Miss is still young, and I’m not sure if she can recover in the future after careful recuperation. Where did she get punished by the staff, and why was they acting so maliciously? Rest assured, the Su family is a generous family. The Eldest Madam treats others fairly and benevolently, so she will definitely help you make the decision.” Huang Qin’s appearance of repaying the favor almost made the Eldest Madam choke to death in one breath.

Mu Yunyao dried her tears, but her expression became even more sorrowful. “Dare I ask Doctor Huang, if I take care of myself in the future, what are the chances of me for recovering?”

“This… About ten to twenty percent.”

Mu Yunyao smiled miserably. “I really didn’t expect this. I thought I’d come to the Capital to find my own family, but who would’ve thought...”

The Eldest Madam gritted her teeth, feeling as if her chest was about to explode, “Yunyao, there must be some kind of misunderstanding!”

Mu Yunyao straightened her body, her expression slowly calming down, but the tears in her eyes could not stop, allowing others to clearly feel her sadness and despair, “Eldest Uncle, Eldest Aunt, Mother and I personally came to the Capital from Jingling City. After arriving in the Capital, I added quite a lot of trouble to the Su family’s residence. Seriously speaking, this place is only my maternal grandfather’s family. Even though my father is no longer here, Mother and I are still from the Mu family. It just so happens that in this period of time, Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo will also be arriving in the Capital. Things will get even busier, and it will be extremely inconvenient for us to go in and out of tthe Su family’s residence. So Mother and I want to move out.”

Su Wenyuan smiles reluctantly. Doctor Huang Qin’s diagnosis was like a huge rock, heavily pressing down on the Su family’s head. If he had said anything about the matter before, it would be rebuttable. But it would not be reasonable for Wang Mama and Liu Mama to secretly commit crimes on Yunyao when they beat her. After all, if there wasn’t a master’s instruction, do the two servants dare to do this?

“Yunyao, your father is no longer here. You are a widowed and a orphaned living outside. Didn’t that make your grandmother more worried?”

“We also live in the Capital. If Grandmother is truly worried, we should find a suitable courtyard nearby and come to visit her from time to time to greet her.”

“It’s not appropriate.” If Su Qing and Mu Yunyao were to move out at this time, the entire Capital would surely have blamed the Su family, and the Su family would suffer a blow to the spine. Su Wenyuan looked at Su Qing, who had no idea what to do, “Su Qing, Yunyao is still young and couldn’t help but act impulsively. You should understand the difficulties of living outside in the Capital, so you should be able to advise her properly and persuade Yunyao not let her mess around anymore.”

Su Qing stood firmly by Mu Yunyao’s side. Ignoring his voice, she said with all her might, “Elder Brother, We will move out!”

Mu Yunyao quickly stopped Su Qing from continuing to speak, “ Eldest Uncle, there was a fire in Baohua Temple this time. My mother was trapped in a room and almost lost her life. Although she escaped, her throat was burned by the smoke, so she can’t speak at this time. Moreover, Eldest Aunt, can I have the two hundred thousand taels of silver banknotes sent by Yun Chun? The banknotes were sent from all over the place to set up Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo in the Capital, so they can’t be moved easily.”

The Eldest madam hated Mu Yunyao very much, but Shen Binghuai was present at this time. Thus, she couldn’t do anything else. She stiffly returned to her room, took out the wooden box, and handed it to Mu Yunyao, “Yunyao, you have truly misunderstood. Although two hundred thousand is a lot of silver, our Su family has always been able to do well. No matter how much silver you have, our Su family will not use it. Previously, Eldest Aunt did indeed want to help you keep it safe and handed over to you when you returned.”

The Eldest Madam spoke sincerely and earnestly, but Mu Yunyao didn’t waver in the slightest. She opened the wooden box to check the silver notes inside, and her expression abruptly changed as she asked, “Eldest Aunt, are these the silver notes that you want to pass to me?”

As Mu Yunyao said, she passed the box in her hand to Shen Binghuai: “Lord Shen, please take a look and check it out.”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 343

~ ELDEST MADAM LOST A LOT OF WORDS ~

Shen Binghuai turned to look at Su Wenyuan, “Lord Su, even if she is maidservant, you shouldn’t be so harsh on them, right?”

Su Wenyuan was furious. He had always promoted his generosity and kindness, and the Su family also had a reputation for being good at it. If today’s matter was spread out, the Su family’s hard work would be destroyed entirely.

“This …” The Eldest Madam locked her eyebrows, and her sharp gaze shot towards Mu Yunyao like a knife or arrow. She was the one who did it! All of this was definitely her fault!

Shen Binghuai looked at Yun Chun: “Yun Chun, answer honestly. What happened to the injuries on your body?”

“Reporting to the Lord, this servant came from Jingling City to see Young Miss in the Su family’s residence with the purpose to send Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo profit. After arriving at the Su family’s residence, I found out that Young Miss hadn’t returned from Baohua Temple. The Eldest Madam saw me and told me to pass the banknotes to her for safekeeping. After that, the Eldest Madam said she wanted this servant to stay in residence for a few days. So when Young Miss came back from Baohua Temple, she could meet her. This servant then follows Qi Mama to settle down, but I never thought that Qi Mama would order someone tie this servant up and beat her?”

“Why she beat you?”

“This servant doesn’t know. However, Qi Mama said that Young Miss was obstructing the Eldest Madam’s eyes. Fortunately, Jin Lan and Jin Qiao found out that I had come to the Su family and stealthily followed Qi Mama. Unexpectedly, they were found out by Qi Mama and the rest, and even they had to tie them up as well. Fortunately, I know some martial art and fight to the death to help the two of them escaped and reported the case to Shuntian Manor....”

Su Wenyuan said coldly, “Bullsh*t! If you did not make a mistake, why would Madam punish you? There are also the two girls, Jin Lan and Jin Qiao. If the Su family really intended to stop them, how could these two weak girls escape out of the residence?”

Mu Yunyao raised her head to look at Su Wenyuan with a sorrowful expression on her face, “Eldest Uncle, under normal circumstances, Jin Lan and Jin Qiao won’t have the chance to escape. But at this moment, the guards were all sent to the East Courtyard by Eldest Aunt. So under the guard’s negligence, it wouldn’t be that hard for them to escape. What I am concerned about now is why Eldest Aunt had my servants punished. Furthermore, judging from the viciousness of this attack, it seems like she wanted to take their lives....”

“Yunyao, your aunt only wants to discipline you a little and let you understand the rules of the Capital. You can no longer act as you would before, and you shouldn’t waste your Eldest Aunt’s hard work.”

Mu Yunyao gave a cold laugh, “Hard work? Did Eldest Aunt also usually teach Elder Sister Yuyi how to behave like this? Although I am not of high background, I am not stupid. Now that things were linked together, even a fool could understand what was going on. I didn’t hurt Elder Sister Yuyi at all, but Elder Sister Yuyi and Qi Mama testified that I had broken her arm and set the charges straight away. After that, when I returned home, I didn’t even have the time to change my clothes before, but Eldest Auntsent someone to take me here directly and ordered me to be tied up without any reason or right or wrong. If it wasn’t for Lord Shen didn’t come in time, I’m afraid that Mother and I will end up in a worse state than Yun Chun. If this is a hard work, please forgive me for not being able to bear it!”

“Mu Yunyao, you’re still so stubborn even at a time like this. It’s clear that you were the one who broke Yuyi’s arm.”

“Eldest Aunt said it was me. Do you have any evidence?”

“Qi Mama is a witness!”

Mu Yunyao’s smile became more and more mocking as she slightly raised her voice. “According to Eldest Aunt’s words, I also could said that you wanted to kill me and swallow the silver earned by Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo alone!”

“Don’t speak nonsense!” The Eldest Madam suddenly answered with quivering eyes.”

“Why do I feel that Eldest Aunt is feeling very guilty right now? The reason why you imprisoned Yun Chun, gave me such a bad reputation, and wanted to kill Mother and me was to seize the property in my hands? Or could it be that calling us back here from the very beginning was a complete and thorough conspiracy?”

“You … You are just bullshit. I am a dignified bookkeeper. How could I fancy the small amount of money in your hands?”

Yun Chun angrily interrupted, “I’ve sent a total of two hundred thousand taels of silver to Young Miss. It’s not a small sum....”

Two hundred thousand taels?

Su Wenyuan turned around and looked at the Eldest Madam, and his heart tightened. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Eldest Madam had complained to him that the income in the house had decreased, and he was already having trouble making ends meet. Could it be that the Eldest Madam really wants that two hundred thousand taels of silver? That was why she acted so viciously. Shee would rather cause such a commotion, so she could kill Mu Yunyao in one move?

However, at this time, there was no time to ponder carefully over the problem. The first thing had to do was to clear the suspicion of the Su family.

He looked at Mu Yunyao with a heartbroken expression, “Yunyao, you and your mother have been living in the outside world for many years. Whether it’s your grandmother or me or your Eldest Aunt, the Su family has always treated you like family. I don’t know why you have such extreme thoughts. It really breaks Eldest Uncle’s heart.”

At this moment, an official from Shuntian Manor rushed over and hurriedly reported when he saw Shen Binghuai, “Lord Shen, that Wang Zhu in the cell is making a ruckus again. He said that his mother and that Liu Mama must have been killed.”

“What evidence does he have?”

“Wang Zhu said that his mother had once boasted that she had a good grasp of power with the stick and that she could use it to beat people to cripple people in three or two strokes. He also said that she had dealt with several maids in this way. Two of them were from the Su family’s East Courtyard, and she said that those two maids had impure minds and wanted to seduce the Su family’s Eldest Young Master with their looks. After being ordered to punish them with the stick, they were driven out of the house. Wang Zhu’s mother and Liu Mama beat them up in turns with each other. After they were beaten down, it seemed that they were all right. However, they were actually destroyed inside their body. They might get pregnant again and have children in their whole life….”

The Eldest Madam’s face turned pale. At this moment, she suddenly had a feeling that she was at a loss for words.

Su Wenyuan’s expression was also not good. He did not think that Mu Yunyao would actually stir up the Su family upside down, “Lord Shen, that Wang Zhu is such a rascal. He usually eating, drinking, whoring and gambling like a hoodlum. He also does not work properly, and does all sorts of things. What such a person says is unbelievable.”

Mu Yunyao’s face suddenly turned pale, and her body swayed uncontrollably. Si Qin and Si Qi, who were by her side, hurriedly went forward to support her, “Miss, are you alright?”

Jin Lan suddenly cried out, “That Wang Mama and Liu Mama have also hit our Young Miss with the stick, Young Miss’s body....” She didn’t finish speak, but her meaning was too obvious.

Su Qing stepped forward and hugged Mu Yunyao. Her throat was broken, so she couldn’t make a sound. She could only silently cry, looking extremely miserable.

Shen Binghuai’s expression was grave. “Miss Mu was also beaten by Wang Mama and Liu Mama?”

Mu Yunyao seemed to have suffered a heavy blow, but she put on a strong appearance. She nodded and replied, “Reporting to Lord Shen, on the second day I came to the Su family, I was beaten up by the two of them. However, they only hit me twice with the stick, so it shouldn’t be a problem.”

Jin Lan was extremely aggrieved: “If Miss Meng’s leg hadn’t suddenly hurt and leaked the truth about how she framed Miss, Miss would have been beaten up by them with twenty times. If Miss completely punished by them, then she would have been completely ruined!”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 342

~ I’VE NEVER ACCEPTED MY FATE ~

Si Qin and the rest were gradually losing their strength and were finally captured by the guards. The guards rushed forward and tied up Mu Yunyao and Su Qing.

The Eldest Madam quickly stepped forward and ruthlessly slapped Mu Yunyao across the face, “Slut! If you hurt Yuyi’s finger, I’ll break your arms. Now that you’ve broke Yuyi’s arms, I’lllet you pay for it with your life!”

Mu Yunyao suddenly sneered. She raised her head and coldly looked at the Eldest Madam, her expression showing no signs of being suppressed as she said, “Eldest Aunt, tell me why I dared to come back even though I knew you were going to deal with me.”

The Eldest Madam’s heart stirred as she coldly sized Mu Yunyao up. “What kind of tricks are you trying to pull this time?”

“I just wanted to remind Eldest Aunt that we are family after all. Seeing Eldest Aunt jumping into the fire pit herself, I think I should at least say something to stop her.”

“Deliberately mystifying! Do you think I will let you off just because you’re bluffing? Mu Yunyao, this is the Su family. The capital is not a small place like Jingling City, so you can use a little bit of benefit to win the hearts of others! If you want to get along well here, you have to have a good background. I admit that you are indeed intelligent, and your looks are not bad. Just looking at your small face makes one’s heart unconsciously feel close to you and pity you. However, you can only be blamed on your poor background, so you are destined to never be able to make it into the future!”

Mu Yunyao chuckled. “Background? “Yeah, I’m just a country girl from the countryside, so naturally, I can’t compare to Sister Yuyi.”

“It’s good that you know this. The most important thing you must know is that you must learn to accept your fate. You is destined to be a sparrow. You won’t be a phoenix, even if you could flies up a branch!”

“Thank you for the warning, Eldest Aunt.” Mu Yunyao paused for a moment before continuing slowly, “But I’ve never accepted my fate.”

“Heh, so what if you don’t accept your fate? At this point, is there anyone who can save you?”

“It’s so much trouble waiting for others to save me, so I only believe in myself.”

The Eldest Madam’s brows tightly knitted together, and she was unsure of what Mu Yunyao was up to now. Just as she was about to ask someone to pull her down and deal with her, she heard an intense knock on the door to the courtyard.

“What’s going on?”

The Eldest Madam had just finished speaking when the door was violently flung open by someone. Su Wenyuan stood at the door with a livid expression. Next to him was Shen Binghuai, who carried the official in his side.

“This...”

“Miss!” Jin Lan and Jin Qiao, who was covered in wounds, rushed over. They wiped their tears as they fumbled with the ropes on Mu Yunyao and Su Qing’s bodies.

The Eldest Madam did her best to calm herself down as she stepped forward and bowed to Su Wenyuan. “Master, Yunyao has committed a grave mistake by breaking Yuyi’s arm and injuring Qi Mama. Today, after returning home, I had originally wanted to call her over to interrogate her, but who would have known that she would be so stubborn, refused to admit her mistake and connived at her maid to hurt my servants in the courtyard. She even took the opportunity to break Yuyi’s hand again, and Yuyi was still in a coma waiting for the doctor to arrive. I really didn’t have any other choice but to call the guards to restrain her first. I wonder why Lord Shen is come here?”

Su Wenyuan’s expression was still ugly. After hearing what the Eldest Madam said, he turned to look at Shen Binghuai and said, “Lord Shen, like I was just saying before that there was a misunderstanding. It was just a small matter in the family. I could not believe that it actually involved the Shuntian Manor. This is really....”

Shen Binghuai’s eyes, however, were cold as he sized up the surrounding servants and armed guards. He had a strange expression on his face and said, “Lord Su, with such a attitude, it looks like it isn’t just a matter of the family, right?”

Su Wenyuan’s heart sank: “Lord Shen, this child, Yunyao, has never received a good upbringing and does things without following the rules of etiquette. My wife is only a person who does routine discipline. Isn’t this a family matter? This place is the Su family residence and also the inner courtyard. Lord Shen brought his men and barged in without any warning. Don’t you think you think it’s inappropriate?”

Shen Binghuai nodded: “It is indeed inappropriate. I am only an official at Shuntian Manor, and my official position is one level lower than Lord Su. According to the laws of the Dali Dynasty, even if the Su family has committed a crime, I do not have the qualifications to come forward to investigate. I should first report it to the Emperor, then have his approval before coming back to investigate it. However, since this matter is urgent and involves matters of life and death, I can’t worry too much about it. Once I’ve dealt with this matter, I’ll head to the Palace and ask the Emperor for forgiveness.”

Jin Lan and Jin Qiao stepped forward and knelt down in front of Shen Binghuai: “Lord Shen, please help me find our sister. Her name is Yun Chun, she came to the Su family residence to send the silver to Young Miss, but now she’s locked up and doesn’t know if she’s dead or alive. I beg Lord Shen to take charge, please.”

The Eldest Madam’s heart trembled as her gaze fell on Mu Yunyao. Could it be that Yun Chun had been plotted against her for coming here? All of this was a trap set up by Mu Yunyao? How could she have such delicate thoughts? How could there be such meticulous calculations possible?

Mu Yunyao raised her head and spoke with an anxious tone, “Has Yun Chun also come here?”

Jin Lan nodded. “Yes, Miss.”

Su Wenyuan looked at the Eldest Madam. He did not know about this, so he was puzzled. “Madam, what Yun Chun? Do you know?”

The Eldest Madam looked at Qi Mama, who was standing to one side. Seeing her nod, she calmed down a little. “There was indeed a young lady who came by. However, I didn’t make things difficult for her, so I decided to place her in my residence. Qi Mama, bring that person over here and let Lord Shen have a good look at her. Who is talking nonsense here and deliberately damaging the reputation of the Su family? ”

Qi Mama hurried down to find Yun Chun, while Jin Lan and Jin Qiao stood up with them. “We will follow along. Who knows if Qi Mama will try anything funny?”

“How dare you!” The Eldest Madam coldly shouted, “As a servant, you actually don’t know the rules. It seems like Yunyao has really spoiled you!”

However, Jin Lan and Jin Qiao didn’t budge in the slightest, insisting on following behind Qi Mama.

The Eldest Madam sneered, “The Su family cannot allow such a servant girl who disobeys the rules to stay in residence. Once the misunderstanding before is resolved, I must drive you all out.”

“If Big Sister Yun Chun is alright, we’ll let Eldest Madam handle it.” With that said, the two of them pushed Qi Mama away to look for someone.

The Eldest Madam stood in place with a cold expression, waiting for Yun Chun to come over safely so she could attack Mu Yunyao. After waiting for a while, she saw Jin Lan and Jin Qiao walk out with Yun Chun in their arms.

At this moment, Yun Chun’s entire body was covered with wounds, especially his wrist. It was as if she had been tied up by a rope for a long time. Her face was surprisingly pale. If it weren’t for Jin Lan and Jin Qiao supporting her, she probably wouldn’t have been able to stand up straight. The moment he saw Mu Yunyao, he burst into tears in his eyes.

“Miss… You’re finally back. This servant almost couldn’t see Young Miss....”

Mu Yunyao hurriedly stepped forward to support Yun Chun, “Eldest Aunt, may I ask how Yun Chun offended you to make you do this to her?”

The Eldest Madam looked at this scene in disbelief: “What is going on?” She didn’t let anyone attack Yun Chun at all!

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 341

~ REGARD HUMAN LIFE AS A WEED ~

Mu Yunyao softly laughed, “What you say makes sense. Since that’s the case, then let’s go.”

Qi Mama held out her hand to stop Si Qin, Si Qi, and the rest. “The Eldest Madam wants to see the Madam and the Young Miss Biao, so all of you don’t have to follow them.”

“We servants will only listen to the orders of our Madam and Young Miss. Qi Mama, you don’t have to meddle in other people’s business.”

“How dare you!” Qi Mama raised her hand to signal the maidservants and Mamas behind her to stop the four of them. She saw that Si Qin had stepped forward, her left hand grabbing Qi Mama’s wrist, her right arm bent, her elbow aiming straight for Qi Mama’s throat. The moment she touched her, Qi Mama stopped moving.

“What did Qi Mama just say?”

Qi Mama suddenly thought back to that night when they almost killed Su Yuyi, and she immediately shuddered. These people even dared to touch their Eldest Miss, let alone a servant like her, “You … Don’t be too arrogant, this is the Su family....”

Si Qin looked at Qi Mama with a smile, but the movements in her hands did not relax: “No matter where you are, as a servant, you’re not allowed to meddle in the affairs of the masters at will. Qi Mama is also an old man of the Su family, so you should understand this better than anyone, right?”

Qi Mama secretly gritted her teeth and cursed in her heart: What a cheap hoof! She cursed Mu Yunyao on her head: I’ll let you be proud for a while. Once Eldest Madam takes care of Mu Yunyao, it’ll be your turn next!

“Release your hands. don’t let the Eldest Madam wait for you.”

Si Qin released her strength with satisfaction and respectfully stood behind Mu Yunyao before following her to the East Courtyard.

The East Courtyard was filled with servants. Each and every one of them held their breath as they lowered their heads and waited for the Eldest Madam’s order.

Mu Yunyao held onto Su Qing and walked into the main hall, then she saw Eldest Madam, who was sitting above, “Greetings, Eldest Aunt. My mother’s throat was choked by the smoke from the fire at Baohua Temple. At this time, she can’t speak and can’t make a sound to greet Eldest Aunt, so Yunyao did it for her. Please don’t blame her.”

Su Yuyi smiled as she stood behind the Eldest Madam, her heart was filled with anger, and her eyes were filled with hatred. Once she saw Mu Yunyao, the fear in her heart rose again, the pain of her broken arm, the fear of dying, the anger of losing face … With all her emotions gathered together, she gritted her teeth and stared at Mu Yunyao. When she saw Mu Yunyao, she really wanted to use her gaze to flinch her.

The Eldest Madam slammed the table. “People, tie up Mu Yunyao for me!”

“Yes, Madam!” The surrounding maidservants immediately responded loudly. They quickly surrounded Mu Yunyao and pounced at her!

Su Qing’s heart trembled. She tightly held onto Mu Yunyao’s hand and stepped forward to protect her behind her. Turning her head to face the Eldest Madam, she wanted to open her mouth and beg for forgiveness. But when she saw her eyes filled with killing intent, her entire body froze on the spot: The Eldest Madam and Su Yuyi are nominally their relatives, but everyone wanted to kill the mother and daughter pair! Such people! Even if she kneeled down and begged them, she would only receive heartless contempt and ridicule …

Mu Yunyao held Su Qing’s hand and turned around to command Si Qin and the others, “Do it.”

“Yes, Miss.”

Received Mu Yunyao’s order, Si Qin and the other three instantly moved.

The four people trained to assassinate people, but it was not appropriate for them to take their lives now. Thus, they could only use their fists and kicks without taking out any weapons. However, their appearances were still quite scary enough.

The people, who were charging over, were easily knocked back by the four people. They slumping onto the ground with loud banging sounds, occasionally with the sound of bones breaking. In an instant, the servants that wanted to rush over to grab Mu Yunyao were all lying on the ground, wailing incessantly.

The Eldest Madam was stupefied by the sudden turn of events and couldn’t stop her heart from trembling. “Mu Yunyao, how dare you!”

Mu Yunyao supported Su Qing and found a nearby chair to sit on. She then turned to look at the Eldest Madam, who had an ugly expression on her face, “Eldest Aunt, we all are family, so what is there to say that cannot be said properly. This move of your punches and kicks would inevitably hurt our relationship.”

“Relationship?” Yuyi considered you as a good sister, yet you broke her arm and almost killed her. Have you ever talked about a relationship?”

Mu Yunyao looked at Su Yuyi with a smile, “Elder Sister Yuyi, it was clearly you who accidentally broke your arm. Why did you have to blame it on me?”

Su Yuyi tried her best to suppress the fear in her heart: “Nonsense, it was you who took advantage of me being caught unprepared and broke my arm, and even covered my head with a quilt. If I wasn’t lucky, I would have been killed by you!”

“Elder Sister Yuyi, you must have been frightened by the sudden fire, to the point of some hallucination, right? Everything is fine, so why did I break your arm?” A smile hung on the corner of Mu Yunyao’s mouth, and the smile was exactly the same as when she had broken Su Yuyi’s arm that night.

Su Yuyi tried her best to restrain herself, but she still felt that her heart was in a mess. She quickly pulled on the Eldest Madam’s sleeves, “Mother, Mu Yunyao allowed her servants to hurt your people and even tried to harm you. Hurry up and tie her up!”

The Eldest Madam was equally furious. “Mu Yunyao, I originally wanted to give you a wide berth, but who knew that you would be so stubborn and unrepentant. Since that’s the case, don’t blame me for being ruthless as your Eldest Aunt.”

“Someone, come!” The Eldest Madam suddenly broke the teacup in her hand and shouted at the door.

Immediately, guards holding weapons rushed in as they looked coldly and solemnly at Mu Yunyao and Su Qing.

The Eldest Madam gritted her teeth. At this point, she could only eliminate Mu Yunyao. Otherwise, there would be endless troubles in the future, “Capture Mu Yunyao and Su Qing. If anyone dares to resist, it doesn’t matter whether they live or die!”

Mu Yunyao abruptly raised her head and looked at the Eldest Madam with an ice-cold gaze. “Regardless of life or death, as expected of someone born in the Meng family, she really doesn’t care about life and regarded human life as a weed!”

These guards were naturally incomparable to the servants before. Si Qin and the other three had a hard time dealing with them and were injured in no time.

Mu Yunyao slightly lowered her eyes as she stood beside Su Qing and silently calculated the time. Seeing that it was about time, she shot a look at Si Qin and winked.

Si Qin’s eyes turned cold. She took the chance and kicked one of the guards in front of him towards Su Yuyi.

Su Yuyi was watching from the side. Suddenly, she felt everything go black before she fell to the ground along with her chair. Her arm, which had just been connected, snapped off again with a click. She didn’t even have time to scream before she fainted.

The Eldest Madam exclaimed and hurried over to help Su Yuyi up. “Yuyi, how are you? Get a doctor quickly, get a doctor quickly!”

Previously, the doctor said that the wounds on Su Yuyi’s arm were very neat and orderly. After resting for a while, she would be able to recover completely. However, now that she was injured, if she was left with a disability, then Yuyi’s remaining life would be ruined...

“Mu Yunyao, it’s not enough that you’ve harmed Yuyi once. You actually dared to hurt her twice. This time I saw it with my own eyes. I must not spare you lightly!” After the Eldest Madam finished speaking, she looked at the guards with a cold gaze. “The Su family has raised you for so many years, could it be that you can’t even deal with four girls? Do not worry about it! I’ll be responsible for the death of these people!”

Incurable Chapter 30 Part 2

Chapter 30 (2/2)

Behind the old pine tree was a narrow path lined with wildflowers and small grasses. The morning mist was cool. Dew dampened her calves. There were no forks in the road, so she simply kept walking.

After five minutes, the space ahead opened up.

And there, seated cross-legged on the cliffside, was Liu Qianxiu.

He had changed into a Taoist robe. The blue-green cloth was plain and rough, yet it draped over his tall, refined frame with quiet elegance. Dawn mist was thinning, and the eastern sky was turning pale. The sun had not yet risen, and the first traces of morning light outlined him like a hidden sage inside a landscape painting—aloof, pure, faintly immortal.

There was something transparent about his presence, so transparent he seemed to belong to the natural world itself. Like mountain and stream, he looked like a man beyond desire, beyond want.

Mu Wan froze for a moment, something in her wavering.

Then the man on the cliff turned his head.

His features were sharply defined, his expression calm. His gaze rested on Mu Wan, deep and steady.

Like someone tempted against her will, Mu Wan wet her lips and walked toward him.

Liu Qianxiu set down the book in his hand and rose from the prayer cushion. The Taoist robe fell cleanly along his frame, belted at the waist, making his shoulders seem broader and his waist narrower, his proportions all the more striking.

He watched her approach, eyes lowered, gaze fixed on hers the whole time.

At first, Mu Wan kept looking up at him. Then, at the last second, her gaze dropped toward the cushion by the cliff, and the tips of her ears flushed red.

“You got up so early,” she said, forcing herself to start with small talk.

“Mm.” Liu Qianxiu answered. “Life here is more regular than it is at home.”

The small talk ended there.

He remained exactly as always—calm, composed, cool. The air itself was chilly, and the man who had spent the early morning meditating on the cliff seemed to carry that cool mist all over him.

Between heaven and earth, Mu Wan alone was warm.

No—more than warm. Burning.

She gathered her courage, lifted her eyes, and looked at him directly. Her gaze shimmered, the corners of her eyes tinged red, making her look exactly like a little demon who had just been bullied.

“I have something to ask you.” Her thoughts turned in a rush. “What you said to me last night, what you did to me last night... I remember all of it. So I want to ask you—what did you mean?”

Her tone tightened at the end. She tried to make herself sound more imposing. Her gaze trembled. She bit her lip and pushed on.

“You said you do have desire. Then toward me, is it affection—or desire?”

The man’s gaze lowered slightly as he looked at her.

She stared back just as hard, her lips full and wet, red as if they had melted from pomegranate stone—vivid and dangerously soft.

Then he lowered his head and kissed her.

Soft lips met soft lips.

In that instant, heaven and earth seemed to collapse. Mu Wan’s pupils contracted. Her throat dried. Her jaw trembled.

Then his lips lifted away.

His forehead rested lightly against hers. He gave a low laugh and asked, “What do you want?”

Her eyes were fixed on the smile on his face. Her heartbeat crashed against her eardrums. Mu Wan’s mind went completely blank. She opened her mouth, wanting to answer, but no words would come. All she knew was that she was clutching tightly at his Taoist robe, because that one kiss had left her body weak.

He wrapped his arms around her.

One arm circled her waist.

His eyes were black and bright.

A smile lingered at the corner of his lips, the same one that had made her heart race from the very beginning.

He lowered his head. His lips brushed near her ear. His voice was deep and fluid, like clear spring water striking stone, echoing against her skin.

“Whether what you want is affection or desire, I can give you both.”

Mu Wan’s heart burst into bloom.

Incurable Chapter 30 Part 1

Chapter 30 (1/2)

The man’s embrace carried the scent of wine and sandalwood, as though some long-held commandment had just been broken, and in an instant the skies had cleared.

Curled in his arms, with the clean wind and bright moon before her and stray strands of hair stirring by her ear, Mu Wan could hear a steady, powerful heartbeat thudding against her eardrums.

It was not only her own.

She had heard what he had just said. Mu Wan lifted her gaze to him, eyes bright, cheeks flushed, lips slightly parted.

“Liu Qianxiu...” Her voice trembled.

“Mm.” He answered softly.

Perhaps because things had gone more perfectly than she had ever dared hope, her vision blurred. His voice lingered in her ear, and for a moment, everything felt unreal again.

She did not move. Liu Qianxiu took her hand and pressed it against his chest.

His heart beat beneath her palm. Mu Wan’s throat went dry.

Holding her hand as though he were holding the very truth within himself, he placed it over his heart. Something flickered across her face, then slowly brightened.

The Taoist temple was pure and still. A few insects called in the night. Yet the bodies pressed close together had become unbearably loud.

“Junior Brother.”

A child’s sweet, aggrieved voice, still heavy with sleep, shattered the charged stillness beneath the moon.

Time, which had seemed suspended, suddenly rushed forward again.

Mu Wan froze. The heat in her body rushed straight to her face. She braced her palm against his chest, trying to sit up. But Liu Qianxiu tightened his arm around her waist just a little. Her body softened at once and fell back into his arms. Her burning cheek pressed against his chest. One hand came up to cradle the back of her head, holding her there.

“What is it?” Liu Qianxiu lifted his eyes. Aside from the hot breath spilling from the woman in his arms, there was no more struggle.

Qingchan stood at the entrance to the main hall, one small hand on the wooden door, eyes drooping. “A nightmare woke me up,” he said. “Junior Brother, can you sleep with me tonight?”

Qingchan was only seven. For all his calm manner, he was still a child, afraid of the dark and afraid of bad dreams. He had listened to a thousand teachings, but when it came down to it, he still wanted his master to sleep beside him. If Master was not here, then Junior Brother would do.

“All right,” Liu Qianxiu said.

His body did not move, but the woman in his arms did. Her fingers tightened in his robe, clutching the fabric.

Qingchan stood there waiting, his mind gradually clearing. Only then did he truly see the man and woman in the main hall.

His junior brother sat upright. Sister Mu Wan was lying in his arms, their bodies very close. Her narrow shoulders trembled faintly. Her long fingers clutched at his robe. Her face was buried against his chest, and beneath her thick black hair, only one small ear was visible.

Red enough to drip blood.

“What’s wrong with Sister?” Qingchan asked, puzzled.

At his question, the visible ear turned even redder.

The woman in his arms had already gone burning hot, the heat of her body seeping through the thin layers of cloth against his skin. A faint shift passed through Liu Qianxiu’s eyes. Lowering his head, he looked at Mu Wan and said evenly, “She drank a little wine and feels unwell, so she’s being clingy.”

“Oh.” Qingchan nodded, half understanding, half not.

Mu Wan was mortified. Her palms were damp with sweat.

Liu Qianxiu exhaled softly. His hand moved over the back of her head in a soothing stroke, like a hand brushing across duckweed on a still lake, stirring quiet, delicate ripples.

He lowered his head slightly. His lips came close to her ear. His body was still cool, but the words he spoke were unbearably hot.

“I’ll go put him back to sleep first. Then I’ll come back and talk to you.”

After that, he stroked her hair once or twice more. The strands slipped through his fingers. Then he eased her against the low table and rose to his feet.

“Come,” Liu Qianxiu said, taking Qingchan’s hand.

Throughout it all, Mu Wan never lifted her head. Her face was burning. Whether from heat or from the wine, even she did not know. She had to stay awake. Liu Qianxiu still had something to say to her.

Tonight, he had to make it clear. What desire did he mean? And for whom?

Beneath the temple lantern, the woman’s figure was graceful and slim. She looked like a little demon who had only just tasted love—at a loss, yet secretly delighted.

Qingchan had been woken by a nightmare, and after that, he chatted with Liu Qianxiu for a while. By the time his mind had fully cleared, it had become harder for him to fall asleep again. It took Liu Qianxiu some time to coax him back to sleep.

Only after Qingchan was asleep did he rise, close the door, and return to the main hall.

The scent of bayberry wine still lingered there. Mu Wan was lying face down on the table, her cheek turned to the side, eyes closed, breathing evenly. She had fallen asleep, too.

The wines brewed by Xuan Qingzi all had a strong aftereffect. Liu Qianxiu himself had grown warm after only one cup. She had drunk three.

The mountain temple at night was cool and wind-washed. Standing in the main hall, Liu Qianxiu raised his eyes to the three statues in the center of the shrine, steadied his breathing, then walked over and lifted the woman into his arms.

She was slender and long-limbed, light as a white feather. Yet it was precisely this feather that had disturbed the still dust of his heart.

He moved as gently as he could. Mu Wan slept deeply. Even when he laid her down on the bed, she did not wake.

The room was dark. Only a little light from the main hall seeped through the window, faintly brightening the space. Liu Qianxiu stood by the bed, looking at her fair, vivid little face. His Adam’s apple moved once.

After a long moment, he pulled the thin blanket over her, then turned and left the room.

The bayberry wine’s aftereffect truly was strong. Mu Wan had forced herself to stay awake, but in the end, alcohol won.

Her consciousness sank, but her obsession remained clear. Even in her dream, she was still clutching at the man’s robe, asking him what exactly he had meant by that last sentence.

Dream-Liu Qianxiu refused to answer her.

Mu Wan woke with a start.

Her body was damp with sweat. Looking out the window, she saw that the world was still washed in darkness. Morning mist drifted through the temple, leaving it quiet and cold, far removed from the human world. The air was damp and cool. Mu Wan climbed out of bed, threw on a jacket, and pushed open the door.

Incense was already burning on the table in the main hall, glowing faintly through white curling smoke. Outside came the sound of sweeping. Mu Wan’s eyes moved, and she hurried out.

Qingchan was holding a broom, sweeping up a scatter of fallen leaves. When the leaves rolled to his feet, he turned and saw her. At once, he smiled, his cheeks pink from the effort, soft and lively.

“Sister, you’re awake.”

“Mm.” Mu Wan barely stopped herself from rushing straight over. She looked at the already-clean courtyard and asked, “Did you sweep all this?”

There was little entertainment in the temple. The young Taoist spent his days reading and cultivating quietly. He slept early and rose early. Qingchan gripped the broom in his small hand, squinted with a smile, and shook his head. “Junior Brother swept most of it. I only did the finishing.”

“That’s strange,” Qingchan said with a grin. “Yesterday, Junior Brother said that when you felt bad, you got clingy. Why are you still clingy this morning if you don’t feel bad anymore?”

Mu Wan: “...”

Qingchan did not understand why she had turned red. He pointed down a narrow path behind the old pine tree and said, “Every morning Junior Brother goes to the cliff to cultivate quietly. You can find him there. He’s been gone for a while already, so he should be coming back soon.”

Now that she had already been officially branded clingy, Mu Wan did not bother pretending otherwise. She pinched Qingchan’s little topknot again. The boy gave a tiny “Ai-ya,” soft and springy, suddenly losing all the solemn composure he had just been using to lecture her. She laughed, rose, and headed down the path.

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 340

~ MONEY MOVES PEOPLE’S HEARTS ~

When Qi Mama and Yun Chun left, the Eldest Madam glanced at the box by her side with some disdain. Previously, she had heard Su Qingwu say Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo had a great influence, so she didn’t believe it. She just said that there were countless large embroidery shops and teahouses in the Capital.

Could it be that Mu Yunyao was different from the others?

As the Eldest Madam thought of this, she raised her hand to open the box. When she saw the neat stack of banknotes inside, her eyes widened slightly as she picked up a banknote and carefully examined it. She discovered that each banknote was worth a thousand taels of silver each. She counted it carefully, and there were 200.000 taels of silver!

The Eldest Madam’s fingers trembled slightly, and her eyes were suspicious: Earlier, Mu Yunyao had donated a hundred thousand taels of silver in Jingling City, but now, in a short time, she had earned another two hundred thousand taels of silver.

Could it be that Su Qingwu had not only not overestimated Mu Yunyao, but he had even underestimated her? If this were the case, according to the speed of earning silver, Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo would be like golden palladium!

“Mother, what are you looking at?” Su Yuyi walked in slowly and asked in confusion when she saw the Eldest Madam’s excited expression.

The Eldest Madam quickly placed the silver notes into the box and closed the box with a bang. Her tone turned a little chilly, “Why are you here?” Why you didn’t get anyone to report it to me?”

Su Yuyi was taken aback for a moment. “I didn’t see Qi Mama when I walked in, so I didn’t get someone to report to you. Mother, please don’t be angry.”

The Eldest Madam realized that she had lost control of herself and quickly retracted her expression. “It’s no problem. I just remembered Mu Yunyao, so for a moment, I was too angry that I couldn’t control myrself and even spoke a little heavily. Come and sit down quickly. Did your arm is still in severe pain?”

“The medicine given by the doctor is so good, and it doesn’t really hurt much at the moment. It’s just that the moment Daughter thought of Mu Yunyao, I was so angry that my heart and liver ached, and she didn’t even have the mood to recuperate.” As Su Yuyi spoke, her eyes landed on the wooden box that the Eldest Madam was pressing down on with her hands, “Mother, what’s inside the box? Just now, it seemed like your looked very serious....”

“It’s nothing. The servant sent me some trinkets. The injury on the arm is not trivial. The doctor had repeatedly told you to have a good life and recuperate well. For Mu Yunyao, I have my own ways of dealing with it. You just need to rest in peace and recover well. Tomorrow Mu Yunyao should be back, and you just need to watch the show.”

“Yes, Mother.”

After Su Yuyi left, the first wife opened the wooden box again and gently touched the silver notes.

She was born in the Meng family. She was well-dressed and well-fed since she was a child. She never paid much attention to silver and silk. When she came to the Su family, she took charge of the backyard and saw the silver coming in and out every day. She supported a large family from top to bottom and gradually realized the importance of silver.

Especially after Su Wenyuan had sided with Jin Wang, he had used his position in the Ministry of Public Affairs to help Jin Wang build a good relationship and had spent a lot more money than before. In the past, he still had the support of the Spring Embroidery Workshop, but it had been sealed off for more than a year. The income of the Su family’s shop and the residence could not make ends meet.

With the New Year approaching in a few months, the competition between Jin Wang and Yu Wang was getting more intense this year, and the New Year ceremony was also has become increasingly heavy. The Mid-Autumn Festival from a few days ago was already getting short of silver, and if still there was no new money, they would not be able to make it through the new year.

“Two hundred thousand taels of silver....” If she had known earlier that so much silver was being delivered, she wouldn’t have personally stepped forward to see Yun Chun and instead had Qi Mama take the silver. This way, she could keep the silver. Even if someone asked about the whereabouts of the silver later, she could just push her off the hook and clean herself. Worse come to worse, she would just have to sacrifice a Qi Mama.

Now that she had personally met Yun Chun and wanted to make this silver disappear without a trace, she needed to spend a lot of effort. The first thing was to make sure that Mu Yunyao would not be able to speak, and as long as she did not open her mouth, she would say that she had already given her the silver, and that was it!

On the morning of the second day, Mu Yunyao woke up early. There weren’t many things left, so there wasn’t much to pack. After loading the carriage, she left Baohua Temple and returned to the Su family residence.

Yue Wang was waiting anxiously in his room. But it took a long time for Mu Yunyao and Su Qing to come and told Yu Heng to go and meet them. Then he found out that the two of them had left Baohua Temple early in the morning.

“Master, now there are many people in Baohua Temple, so it is not good for Miss Mu to come and say goodbye to you....” Yu Heng looked at Yue Wang, whose expression instantly turned cold, and said with some uneasiness in his heart.

As Yue Wang heaved a sigh of relief, he felt regretful. “We have been at Baohua Temple for a long time. Pack our things, and I’ll go to see Imperial Aunt later. It’s time for us to return.”

“Yes.”

As the carriage entered the Capital, the crowd clamored. As it passed Shuanglin Street, a loud and clear voice called out, “Great fortune and great benefit, your wish is fulfilled!”

Inside the carriage, Mu Yunyao slowly opened her eyes as the corners of her mouth raised to form a slight curve. It seemed that the Eldest Madam had been tempted. In this way, things would be foolproof.

The carriage slowly moved forward and stopped in front of Su’s family residence. The corner door was open, and Qi Mama was already waiting at the gate. Mu Yunyao supported Su Qing out and walked over. Qi Mama greets them with a perfunctory bow, “Greetings, Madam Su. Greetings, Miss Mu. The Eldest Madam is waiting in the East Vourtyard. Let’s go with the servants, Young Miss Biao and Madam.”

Su Qing’s face did not show any expression, but Mu Yunyao, who was at the side, had a smile on her face. “Eldest Aunt is looking for Mother and me in such anxiousness, but what is important? Let’s put the things down, freshen up and change our clothes first.”

“Miss Mu, the Eldest Madam is busy with matters. She usually has to manage this whole family, so she doesn’t have the time to wait for you to freshen up and change your clothes. You’d better come with the maidservant, or it won’t be look good either.”

Qi Mama’s voice was slightly rough, her eyes filled with anger and malice. Previously, Mu Yunyao had tied her up, and in the end, knocked her unconscious over Su Yuyi’s broken arm. After Su Yuyi woke up and returned home, she saw that she was not pleasing to the eye all day long and ordered her to be punished several times, but she didn’t get over her hatred. During the night, Su Yuyi made her kneel outside to watch the night, and her knees were about to break in the past two days.

Mu Yunyao glanced at the maidservants and mamas standing behind Qi Mama. “It looks like if I don’t follow Qi Mama to the East Courtyard immediately, you’ll have to get someone to tie me up.”

The corners of Qi Mama’s lips moved with a fake smile. “Look at what Young Miss Biao has to say. We’re all servants that don’t dare to tie you up and are only following orders. We invited you over, but this method is a bit special.”

“You don’t call yourself a servant in front of me. Instead, you call yourself us, but you don’t see anything to be afraid of.”

“Miss, there’s no need for you to dawdle here with me. Sooner or later, you’ll have to go see the Eldest Madam. If you see the Eldest Madam earlier, you’ll finished it soon, don’t you think?”

Pampered Poisonous Royal Wife Chapter 339

~ THE SU FAMILY IN BAD TIMES ~

Su Wenyuan’s eyes became serious. “This looks like a match cards for the Su family’s servants. They usually take the plate and go out to do some chores. But after returning to the residence, they will have to hand it back the match cards. I haven’t heard about any loss of match cards in residence recently.”

“Lord Su, are you sure you haven’t lost your match cards?”

Su Wenyuan frowned, “Normally, I would be very busy with business, so I’m not too sure about whether or not we’ve lost match card. I’ll get the housekeeper to come over later to ask if we’ve lost it, then I’ll report it to Lord Shen.”

“Alright, since that’s the case, then I won’t continue disturbing you. If Lord Su remembers anything, then please let me know in time.”

“Certainly.”

Shen Binghuai didn’t really doubt the Su family. Firstly, that Wang Zhu was a hoodlum himself, so his words were not believable and questionable. Secondly, even if there were really such a matter, it would be a simple thing for the Su family to make Wang Zhu’s mouth shut, not to say that he made trouble in Shun Tian Manor.

However, his routine inquiry had caused rumors to circulate in the Capital.

For the past few days, the Capital had been bustling with noise and excitement. Most of it was related to the Su family. This time, it was even rarer that they are involved in human life lawsuits.

Many people stood out, discussing the farce in front of the Su family’s residence.

That day, Old Wang Mama and Old Liu Mama’s sons each took a hundred taels of silver and left. It was enough to let the commoners discuss this for a while. After all, that was a hundred taels of silver, so it was so generous that it was enough to cause anyone to be speechless.

Many people vividly described the scene that day. “The person who took out the banknotes and passed them over was a maid called Mo Yu. You all probably didn’t know that, but Mo Yu was not an ordinary maid. She served the Old Madam in the Su family. Otherwise, how could she have casually taken out two hundred taels of silver?”

“Was the silver given by Mo Yu? Didn’t they say that it was given to her by the Su family’s Young Miss Biao, who was also that Miss Mu?”

“At that time, I heard what Miss Mu said and said that Wang Zhu from the Wang family was blackmailing her and asked people to go to the doctor to investigate the cause of Old Wang Mama’s death. However, the Eldest Madam of the Su family stopped it....”

“Why stop it? No matter how generous the Su family is, they shouldn’t be able to say that a servant gave away so much silver after her death. There must be a reason behind it.....”

“Who knows, but Lord Shen went to the Su family make inquiries, maybe....”

A sentence will be changed completely after a hundred people. In addition, Mu Yunyao had people secretly guide them, causing rumors to be spread throughout the Capital: Wang Mama and Liu Mama were killed by the Su family. The reason why they gave a hundred silver taels was that they wanted to keep their mouths shut. Wang Mama’s son, Wang Zhu, was greedy. He wanted to blackmail even more after he got a hundred taels. The Su family ignored him and even sent people to harm him secretly. Wang Zhu had no other choice, and in order to survive, he had to bring up the matter to Shun Tian Manor.

When Su Wenyuan heard this news, his face turned ashen. He immediately went to see his wife, the Eldest Madam, and asked, “Why are you giving them money that day when the family of Wang Mama and Liu Mama’s family came to the residence?”

The Eldest Madam Mng was in the middle of considering how to punish Mu Yunyao when she heard these words, so she didn’t react for a moment. “Old Master, why are you so angry?”

“Do you know what the news is spreading in Capital now? I wonder how many people said that our Su family killed many people and then gave them a hundred silver taels as a fee to seal their mouths. If this continued, then the matter might unravel in front of the Emperor. Do the Su family still have the face?”

The Eldest Madam was shocked. “That day happened too suddenly, and coupled with the fact that someone was slandering Yuyi’s reputation outside, I was busy helping Yuyi correct her name and left it to Mu Yunyao to handle it....”

“Give it to her? You think this matter is not messy enough, and you still want to drag Mu Yunyao into this?”

“Old Master, what exactly is going on? I was confused even after hearing it. Even now, I still don’t understand.”

“Forget it, this matter is completely illusory. I’m not afraid of Shen Bingshu investigating it. Now I’ll checked the match cards in residence, is there anything that has been lost?”

The Eldest Madam quickly sent people to check, and then she replied that all the match cards intact and there was no loss.

The Eldest Madam heaved a sigh of relief, “Old Master, the match cards in residence is not very meticulously done. In order to discredit our Su family, someone intentionally faked it.”

Su Wenyuan nodded his head: “You go and thoroughly investigate the residence first, don’t spread any nonsense, I am going to the Shun Tian Manor right now.” If there was no problem with the match cards, the Su family’s suspicions could be cleared.

The Eldest Madam nodded, but her frown did not relax. She kept feeling that things weren’t so simple. While she was thinking, she heard Qi Mama report, “Madam, a woman come to report that she’s here to delivered something to Miss Mu.”

The Eldest Madam was extremely disgusted with Mu Yunyao, and upon hearing that, she sneered: “Sending all sorts of things to the residence, what realm do you take our Su Family to be? Did you ask clearly, what was the gift?”

“She said she was giving away the silver earned from Ni Yun Fang and Bu Xian Luo.”

The Eldest Madam’s eyes lit up. “Giving out silver? Do you know how much she’ll give her?”

“This … This servant didn’t ask.” Qi Mama’s face was pale. Even now, her throat still ached faintly, but she had failed to do anything in Baohua Temple and had been ordered to punish her several times by Su Yuyi. Afraid that her position was not preserved, she decided to make amends, so she didn’t dare to rest. She still served the Eldest Madam carefully.

The Eldest Madam’s eyes darted up and down as she smiled coldly, “Call her in. I’ll see her in person.”

“Yes.”

The person who came to send off the silver was Yun Chun. Ever since Mu Yunyao had left Jingling City, Steward Qin had wholeheartedly plotted to set up a Bu Xian Luo in the Capital. The place already had some prospects, so Yun Chun brought people here to settle down first.

Mu Yunyao had only received the news before going to Baohua Temple. Due to the lack of time, she didn’t even have the time to see Yun Chun. After the accident at Baohua Temple, she had asked Si Shu to contact her and ask her to help with something.

Yun Chun’s appearance could not be considered outstanding, but the aura around her body made people feel particularly comfortable. However, she had deliberately restrained her aura, making it seem much more ordinary.

“Greetings, Madam.” Yun Chun came in and knelt down, looking a little stiff.

Seeing her expression, the Eldest Madam calmed down. It seemed that she was just a servant, “Are you here to give the silver to Yunyao?”

“Yes, Madam.”

“Yunyao went to Baohua Temple to pray. She hasn’t come back yet, so give it to me.”

Yun Chun looked hesitant, “Is this inappropriate?”

“Hmm? Could it be that the Su family be ignorant of this little bit of silver?” The Eldest Madam’s expression did not change, and her voice turned colder.

Yun Chun quickly bowed, his expression becoming more reserved, “I would never dare to think like that. Since Young Miss is not here, then I shall hand over the silver to Madam first. I’ll have to trouble Madam to pass it to Young Miss.”

The Eldest Madam slightly nodded her head, “En, Yunyao should be back tomorrow. It’s not easy for you to come all the way from Jingling City, so you should stay in residence for two days first.”

Yun Chun was pleasantly surprised. “Yes, thank you Madam.”

“Qi Mama, take her away and settle her down.”

“Yes.”
